'A panda just talked. And a guy with face tats was talking in ingredients. The only normal one was the girl, and even she glared daggers at me. What the hell is my life anymore.'

I'm laying in a bed, compression bandages covering my legs, due to the muscles being nearly destroyed. What a hell of a night. After that guy saved me with those freaky powers, he took me here and promptly left again. God I'm tired.

I sit up gingerly, my body seething in protest, and swing my legs off the bed. I try to stand but am driven back down by sharp shooting pain up both my legs. There are crutches next to the bed. I could stay here and rest but I'm curious where I am. I grab the crutches and put all of my weight onto them, using my legs more as balance than support. It takes a bit to get used to but soon I'm hobbling down the hallway.

To my right are doors, to my left are thin wooden walls with large windows every ten feet. Out the windows I stop and stare at the view. It's a large, grass covered area, and the panda is sparring with the guy with face tats, while the green haired girl practices on a wooden dummy, swinging a naginata with inhuman speed and strength, but barely tapping the dummy. I continue towards a door leading outside.

When I walk out, all commotion stops and three sets of eyes turn to me. I feel my face flush and I continue. My stomach flops and I feel myself falling. I didn't notice the stairs. My last thought before hitting the ground is 'This is going to hurt…'

~ ~ ~

I open my eyes and shield them against the sun. My entire body hurts. Dried blood covers my lower face from my nose. I curse and sit up. A deep but calm voice says, "Oh good! You're alive!" I turn and see the panda smiling at me, "I was worried that fall finished you off."

I blink and respond, "How are you talking to me? You're a panda. Am I crazy?"

The panda laughs, "Well, I am not a panda. My name is Panda, but I am a cursed corpse."

Memories of those monsters knashing their teeth at me and trying to kill me floods my head. Adrenaline floods my veins and I hear electricity zap around me. In the blink of and eye I'm crouched across the field. My legs scream at me and I fall with a yell. I feel my body buzzing like it's filled with electricity. Panic and fear embed themselves into my mind and I force myself up. When I look up, the girl's naginata is pushed against my neck, her eyes as sharp as her blade. The tattooed guy has his jacket unzipped to reveal his mouth, and the panda is in a fighting stance.

The tattooed guy says something like 'Pickled mustard leaf' and the girl pushes her blade harder saying, "What's with your cursed energy levels? And how'd you move so fast? Gojo said you were an amateur who can't even use jujutsu yet. Explain."

I don't know what any of these words mean. This Gojo guy is important, where is he? He could get me out. I feel a hand on my shoulder and hear Gojo's voice, "What's this? Now Maki you know this is no way to treat a new student! Though, I didn't sense this cursed energy before. What happened?"

I stammer, "I… um that panda… is a curse? I don't know what's going on, I'm scared…"

Gojo snaps his fingers, "So Panda told you he is a cursed corpse and you got freaked out? I guess that's understandable, you don't even know what a curse is."

Maki sighs, "Gojo you're seriously irresponsible, you couldn't have told the guy when you supposedly saved him?" The tattooed guys says, "Salmon."

Gojo shrugs, "I had to save the other girl. Speaking of, be respectful to this one, they're a girl. We want them to feel welcome, yes?"

My jaw drops, "How did you.. know? About that? I haven't told anyone."

Gojo responds, "Well your parents sure as hell knew, they were insufferable. Anyway that doesn't matter, we should all have a talk and get to know each other! I'll start. I'm Saturo Gojo, your teacher and the strongest sorcerer you will ever meet." I scoff 'A bit cocky isn't he?'

Maki is next, "My name is Maki Zenin, but don't call me by my last name. That's all you're getting out of me."

Panda is next, "I'm Panda, and I'm not a curse, I'm a cursed puppet. I'm an inanimate object that's been imbued with cursed energy." He points at the tattooed guy, "And that's Toge Inumaki. He has cursed speech so he talks in rice ball ingredients so he doesn't accidentally hurt someone or himself." Inumaki responds, "Kelp."

I guess now it's my turn, "I'm Rose Quartz, I don't know what a cursed technique is, or cursed energy, or even curses. I just know I can teleport. That's all."

Gojo nods, "Yeah, what really is happening is your cursed energy teleports and drags you behind it at godly speeds, so technically it's more like targeted super speed. Also there are other things with you. Your parents said that when you were five they saw you making shadow puppets on the wall, a bird to be exact. They said they could swear you had wings. Cursed techniques manifest when you're young, you seem to have discovered it. On accident."

I curse, they had told me that if I make shadow puppets they'll come to life and try to kill me. Never did it again. I hook my thumbs together and imagine myself with wings. I feel my skin and bones rapidly shift as foreign objects shove themselves out of my back. I scoff. Red and brown wings, both the size of me when folded, are now attached to my back. I turn to Gojo, "Oh what the hell! I might as well learn something while I'm here. Where do I start?"
