Chapter 12: Familiar Territory
Station Square, 10 Minutes Later
Tails landed the Sky Warrior near Speed Highway, and made their way down to the city streets,
"Dang, we're basically home." Sonic said, stretching his arms and legs.
"Yep. Ok, the radar shows that the Chaos Emerald is pretty close, but Eggman isn't close to here, and neither are his robots, meaning we can kill some time." Tails explained.
Good. We're going to see my, uh, our parents." Sonic stated as he, Amy, Sarah, Sonia, and Manic left.
"Well, me and Knuckie are going to spend time with the kids." Rouge winked at her husband.
"Fine by me." Knuckles said.
"Yeah, fun time with Mommy and Daddy!" Precious jumped for joy.
"That's right, sweetie, so let's go." Rouge hugged her daughter as she, Precious, Knuckles, and Karson walked away.
"Hey, Maria, want to go to Twinkle Park?" Silver asked.
"Oh, s-sure, why not?" Maria smiled nervously as she followed Silver to Twinkle Park.
Shadow narrowed his eyes at this.
Blaze put her hand on her husband's shoulder.
"Maria will be fine, dear. Silver wouldn't hurt a fly." Blaze said.
"I guess you're right, Blaze. Come on, I need to spend more time with you and Shadic." Shadow stated as he kissed her cheek, causing the feline to blush as the family walked off.
"Well, mates, I'm a goin' do some sightseein'." Marine said as she ran off.
"Stay out of trouble, Marine!" Tails called out to her.
It was just him and Cream left now.
"Funny how me and Cream are left alone together all the time." Tails whispered to himself.
"Tails, come in here and tell me how this looks." Cream called from the inside of the ship.
Tails walked in and froze on sight.
Cream was wearing an orange bathing suit.
The fox's muzzle was almost solid red.
"I-it looks amazing, Cream. I'm speechless." Tails responded.
"I thought so. Come on, let's go to the beach, Cheese. You coming, Tails?"
"Uh, y-yeah, of course. Just let me grab my shades." Tails replied in a nervous tone as Cream put on a sun dress.
"Chao!" Cheese chirped, wearing his own pair of sunglasses, as well as holding Tails' pair.
"Thanks, Cheese." The fox smiled as he pet the Chao on the head.
Cream walked out with a pair of shades herself, along with orange sandals.
Tails smiled, took the rabbit's hand in his, and the couple made their way to Emerald Coast.
