A/N 1: Alright, so, the email notifications are still being a major pain here, but I'm not gonna let that stop me from giving you all the best content that I can give! Sorry that this chapter took a while, but now it's done, and I hope you all like it. For now, we get to see how Danny's new wives feel about this situation. Or, at least the ones who have already been introduced.
A/N 2: I am such a dum-dum. When I was using the wiki articles to describe Danny's fiancés, I forgot to change one detail about Yoruichi. Her hair is purple, not black.

Meeting the Future Brides Part 2.5
While Danny was unconscious from the sudden influx of blood to his head due to Ty Lee's unexpected kiss, a short break was called in order to allow Danny time to wake up and give everyone else a chance to come to terms with this new situation. The various families who were gathered due to that card game were grateful, since they felt like they definitely needed it. This also gave the adults time to give the Fentons some additional things for their son. Things that weren't exactly wagered, but are definitely valuable and, in some cases, good to have on hand for when he comes of age.
"Now, girls, I know that it's a little late to ask, but are you sure you're really okay with going through with this?" Maddie asked as some of her son's future brides were gathered with her.
Korra just shrugged and said, "Better than being forced to marry our own cousin because of our sick, twisted uncle. Besides, even though we haven't known him for very long…".
"That's an understatement, sis." Yue quipped as she interrupted her sister.
To which Korra shot her a glare before continuing as she said, "...As I was saying… he doesn't seem like a bad person. My sister and I pride ourselves on being good judges of character, even though the two of us can be as different as night and day. So, we'll at least give this a chance.".
"And like the contracts say, if we don't feel like we're compatible with your son at any time, then the marriage arrangement is broken with no honor lost between us. But from what we've seen of Danny, it doesn't seem likely that we'll break it off." Yue added.
Senna put a supportive hand on her daughters' shoulders as she smiled at them. She was glad that they were handling this situation with a sense of maturity… unlike their father who started cursing like a sailor and shouting things like, "No man is worthy of my baby girls!", when he first heard of the contracts. But she just attributed that to his sense of fatherly overprotectiveness. Something that she knew her own father had in spades when she was growing up. She couldn't help but giggle every time she remembered when her father gave Tonraq the infamous 'shovel talk' all those years ago when he had proposed to her.
Mister Sanchez, meanwhile, handed a pair of ornate wooden boxes to Jack who looked at them in slight confusion.
"What are these?" Jack asked.
To which Mister Sanchez explained, "The first box contains a bottle of fine whiskey. When our children come of age and the wedding is being planned, I wish for you and I to have a drink with young Daniel. It is a tradition in my family. A way to welcome new blood into the family.".
Jack smiled and replied, "Alright. It'll have to wait until they graduate from high school, though. After all, we don't want our kids to get in trouble with their teachers because they showed up to class with a hangover.".
The two men chuckled at the small joke as Mister Sanchez explained that the second box contained Cuban cigars which would be nice for Danny to have a smoke when he's old enough. And if he decides not to, he could share them with his friends so they could enjoy them. Jack once again nodded as this was a fair compromise. Although, silently, he was hoping that Danny would choose to have a smoke with them with these bad boys.
Along with these, Maddie and Jack were given several other high value objects from the parents of the brides. Such as the keys to a brand new ferrari sports car from Lindsay's mother, for example. Or Kodachi giving Maddie a beautiful Japanese katana. It was an ornate weapon that was meant to be used as the family's honor blade. Now, the Fentons weren't exactly well-versed in Japanese culture, but they figured that this had to be something important. So, they resolved to do more research on the subject when they got home.
Meanwhile, Ty Lee was sitting with Rangiku and Yoruichi, smiling as she thought about her currently unconscious future husband. The thought of getting married had never really crossed her mind, but she was willing to give a relationship with Danny a try. And while she didn't really know how to feel about sharing him with nineteen other women, she took solace in the fact that his heart seemed big enough to love all of them equally.
Plus, she wouldn't have to share him with her six identical twin sisters, so that's a major plus in her book already.
"So, what do you girls think of this situation?" Ty Lee asked.
Rangiku sighed and said, "I won't lie to you, girls, it feels… weird… to be engaged to a boy who's old enough to be my little brother. Not to mention the legality issues that are sure to arise when this eventually comes to light.".
Yoruichi shrugged and said, "True, I mean, the laws in America are different than those of Japan. I may not have known him for longer than an hour, but I can already tell that Danny has a heart of gold and is more than willing to go the distance for those he cares about. And that's more than I can say for most of the men that I've interacted with in the past.".
Rangiku and Ty Lee crossed their arms and closed their eyes while nodding as Ty Lee commented with, "Yeah, preach it, sister!". Rangiku could count on one hand how many other men, besides Danny, have ever looked her in the eye when talking to her and had no ulterior motives. And Ty Lee knows that most boys just wanted to date her for her body. Either way, the three of them figured there was no harm in giving a relationship with the boy a chance.
"But is it just me… or did it look like Danny was wearing a bit of makeup over his eye?" Ty Lee asked.
Rangiku thought about it for a moment before replying, "Now that you mention it, yeah. It did look like that. But it was more like concealer rather than makeup.".
"Why do you think he was wearing it?" Ty Lee asked.
"Hiding an injury, perhaps?" Yoruichi suggested.
The three ladies hummed in thought at that.
They could ask Danny about it later. When he wakes up, of course.
Alex was smiling from ear to ear as she, Sam, and Clover, but mostly Sam, talked about her new situation and how she felt about it.
"So, Alex, how does it feel to meet your possible future husband?" Sam asked.
Alex sighed with a nervous smile and said, "I'll be honest, it's kinda nervewracking, Sammy. I mean, sure I've been on a few dates with a couple of boys here and there, but this is the first time I've ever been met with something as lifechanging as marriage. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about that until after college at the latest. But at the same time, I'm kind of excited! It's like a whole new adventure for me! Ohhh, and just imagine what our kids will look like!".
Alex and Sam broke out into a fit of giggles as they imagined such a scenario. In Sam's mind, she pictured Alex sitting in a rocking chair in her new mansion home holding a baby boy swaddled in a blue blanket. The baby had Alex's hair and eye color but had his father's skintone. Whereas Alex imagined herself in the hospital after just giving birth with Danny by her side. In her daydream, Danny now wore glasses and had bulked up with muscle even more than he has now, as she could tell through his tux. Held in each arm was a baby. Her twin babies. Held in Dream Alex's right arm was a baby girl in a pink blanket who had her father's skin and eye color with a little tuft of her straight hair. While in her left arm was a baby boy in a blue blanket with Alex's eyes and skin color, but with a tuft of Danny's hair on his head. Both babies slept soundly as their parents looked on with proud smiles and teary eyes.
Unfortunately, the lovely fantasy was broken when Clover scoffed as she was filing her nails.
"I don't get what you're so excited about, Alex. This guy's parents, like, totally stole your future from you with that card game! Besides, you could do so much better in choosing a guy." Clover said dismissively.
She missed the annoyed looks her friends sent her.
"Hey, that was just uncalled for, Clover!" exclaimed Alex.
Clover simply held her hands up and said, "I'm just saying that there are tons of better guys out there that you could choose to date, let alone marry. I mean, sure, he may not be a total geek like I envisioned, but he's still not exactly what I would call husband material.".
Sam narrowed her eyes at the blonde and said, "That is not your choice to make. Alex has chosen to give this marriage a shot, so the least you could do, Clover, is be more supportive of her choice! Just because he doesn't fit YOUR criteria for a boyfriend and potential husband doesn't mean that you get to badmouth him like you're doing!".
Still not understanding why her friends were getting mad at her, Clover simply held up her hands in surrender.
"Okay, okay, sheesh! No need to get so bent out of shape about it." she said before adding, "Although, there is one thing that makes Alex's marriage to him seem good.".
Sam and Alex just raised an eyebrow as Alex motioned for her blonde friend to continue.
"HE IS SOOOO FABULOUSLY WEALTHY!" Clover squealed with stars in her eyes. "I can see it now! With Alex married to him, we can use his money to buy everything we could ever want in the most mega epic shopping spree ever! Sports cars, fancy jewelry, exotic foods, OH! No, wait, I've got it! An entire mansion all for the sole purpose of storing all sorts of trendy clothes from the latest fashions!"
So into her own selfish daydream was Clover that she missed Sam and Alex's disappointed deadpan looks. Was her friend really that shallow? And did she really think that Alex would allow her to use her future husband as her own personal bank like that?
"So sorry to interrupt, ladies," said Miguel as he seemingly popped out of nowhere. "But I'm afraid that that simply won't be possible."
Alex jumped in her seat and yelped as she turned to face Miguel.
"Jeez, you're like a ninja!" she said.
"Yeah, man, warn a girl next time! You almost gave me a heart attack!" added Sam as she clutched the area where her heart was.
"And what do you mean by 'that won't be possible'?" Clover asked.
Miguel simply gave an unsettling smirk and replied, "Why, it's just as I said, Miss Clover. Your fantasy shopping spree is simply impossible to have, because you can't touch so much as a penny of Daniel's money. You see, written in the contract for the marriage is an important detail that states that all of the money earned from that game is in Daniel's name. At least the portion of the earnings that was set aside for him by his parents, which, keep in mind, is still quite the sizable amount. It also states that all of his wives are forbidden to use or spend any of it without his consent. So, unless you get Mister Fenton's permission… I'm afraid you won't be touching so much as a cent of that money, missy. Not unless you want to get your next manicure behind bars.".
And just like that, all of Clover's daydreams of mooching off of Danny's money for her ultimate shopping trip came crashing down and shattered like glass. As she let out a distressed wail at the unfairness of it all, Sam and Alex just glared at her and her attitude. Did she really expect Alex to just let Clover mooch off of her husband while having Alex do her 'dirty work' for her? They should think not.
As Miguel simply walked back towards the group, Lindsay couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in curiosity.
"What's wrong with her?" Lindsay asked.
"Don't worry about it." Miguel replied with a grin.
***...To Be Continued…***
Ending A/N: Okay, so, you've probably noticed that I've added a couple of new franchises to this story. Well, that's because I've changed a few of Danny's wives on the list. They will be introduced in the next chapter. And that's all I've got for now. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time, my hatchlings!
