Naruto let himself be soaked by the rain, feeling the cool drops wash away some of his fear and fatigue. He murmured a soft thank you to Sasuke under his breath. With great effort, he lifted his injured arm and began to chant
"This is the season of the goddess, the birth of the moon, feel the ancient power, she is power, she is within us, let her powers fuel my own…"
As the spell took hold, Naruto felt a surge of energy flood his body. His movements became swifter, his strikes more forceful. He lunged at the nine-tailed fox demon, wielding his staff with all his might. Each blow crackled with magical energy.
The fox demon was cunning and agile, dodging and countering Naruto's attacks with ease, its movements were a blur of speed and power. The mage struggled to keep up, his injured arm burning with pain, but he refused to back down. He blocked a vicious swipe from the demon, the impact reverberating through his body.
The demon noticed the young mage had difficulty moving, one of his legs weak and slow, so he used that to his advantage. One of the demon's fire tails lashed out, searing part of his side, with a grunt of pain he stood his ground, fighting through the agony.
Just as the fox demon reared back, ready to deliver a devastating blow, an enormous shadow appeared overhead. An immense frog leapt from the trees and landed between Naruto and the demon. With a powerful thrust of its massive hind legs, the frog sent the fox demon crashing into the burning wreckage of a nearby house.
"Jiraiya!" Naruto gasped, relief flooding through him.
The frog sage, standing on the giant frog's back, grinned down at him. "Thought you could use a hand."
The fox demon snarled, shaking off the debris as it rose to its feet, its eyes blazing with fury. Jiraiya's arrival had momentarily turned the tide, but the battle was far from over.
Jiraiya leapt down from Gamabunta, the leader of the swamp and king of all frog familiars. The massive frog croaked menacingly at the fox demon.
The demon laughed, a chilling sound that made Naruto shiver. "A sage and the protection of a god," the demon sneered, its voice dripping with mockery. "How charming."
Naruto scowled at the mention of Sasuke, anger flaring within him. He nodded at his mentor, signaling it was their turn to attack.
Jiraiya raised his staff, chanting an ancient spell. "Winds of the heavens, fury of the storm, lend us your power!" A gust of wind swirled around them, intensifying the rain and creating a vortex of energy.
The blonde, taking advantage of the distraction, darted forward, his enhanced speed propelling him toward the fox demon. He swung his staff, aiming for the demon's head, but the creature dodged with inhuman agility. The demon retaliated with a swipe of its claws, but Naruto sidestepped just in time.
Gamabunta roared, his powerful voice shaking the ground. He lunged at the demon, his massive body a blur. Naruto focused his energy, channeling his magic into his staff. "Light of the stars, burn through the night, guide our hands!" A beam of pure light shot from his staff, aimed directly at the creature. The fox demon tried to dodge, but Gamabunta's massive bulk blocked its escape route.
The beam of light struck the demon, enveloping it in a blinding radiance. The demon screeched, its form writhing.
The demon's fury was palpable, the air around him crackling with cursed energy. His eyes blazed with rage, locking onto the blonde mage. With a deafening growl, he channeled his energy, his aura transforming into a sizzling hell. Like hot lava, it spilled onto the ground, consuming everything in its path. Even the heavy rain seemed to do nothing against the demonic fire.
Jiraiya and Gamabunta moved to intercept, but the demon's wrath was unstoppable. With lightning-fast movements, he rushed toward Naruto, evading their attacks with terrifying ease. Naruto braced himself, staff raised, but the demon's force was too much. The creature slammed into him, the impact sending shockwaves through the ground.
Naruto cried out in pain as he was thrown backward, his body hitting the ground with a sickening thud. His vision blurred, and he could feel the searing heat of the demon's aura burning through his robes. Blood trickled down his face, mingling with the rain as he struggled to rise.
"Boy!" Jiraiya shouted, his voice tinged with desperation. He unleashed a flurry of spells, each one aimed at diverting the demon's attention. Gamabunta roared, charging the demon with renewed vigor, but the creature's focus remained on Naruto.
The demon sneered, his eyes narrowing. "Insolent human," he hissed. "You dare to challenge me? I will get rid of all of you, I am god, this world belongs to me"
Naruto gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stand in spite of the pain
"I won't let you destroy everything," he said, his voice hoarse. "I will protect my home."
Naruto turned his sad eyes to his master. "There's no other way," he whispered, the weight of his decision heavy in his voice. Jiraiya closed his eyes, a look of defeat crossing his features, and nodded.
Summoning all his strength, the sage launched a series of powerful attacks, each one aimed at driving the demon back. The demon recoiled, its fiery aura flickering as it retreated under the relentless assault. Meanwhile, Naruto produced the dagger crafted by Sai, its blade shimmering with magic. The blonde removed his outer robe and lifted his shirt, baring his abdomen. He painfully carved the runes he had learned months before, each symbol glowing with a faint, otherworldly light as he inscribed them onto his skin.
"Master, now!" Naruto called out, his voice steady despite the pain he was feeling.
Conjuring the aid of the earth, Jiraiya summoned thick vines from the ground. "Mother earth hear my cry, i call your spirit from the other side, come to me"
the vines erupted with force and wrapped around the demon, binding it tightly. The creature roared in rage, struggling against its restraints, but the vines held firm.
Naruto approached the restrained demon, the runes on his body glowing brighter with each step. "By the ancient power of the gods," he intoned, "I bind thee, demon, to this mortal vessel. Let your fury be contained, your power subdued. With this blade, I seal your fate." He raised the dagger, its blade humming. The demon's eyes blazed with defiance.
The blonde took a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. With a swift, precise motion, he plunged the dagger into his abdomen, directly into the center of the runes. Pain surged through him, but he gritted his teeth, focusing on the spell.
The runes on his skin flared brightly, their light enveloping the dagger and spreading outward. The demon let out a final, earsplitting scream as it was drawn into the runes, its essence being bound within Naruto's body.The ground trembled, and a powerful gust of wind swept through the battlefield, extinguishing the remaining flames. The light from the runes dimmed, and the vines holding the demon disintegrated into dust.Naruto fell to his knees, the dagger still embedded in his flesh. His master rushed to his side, his expression a mix of relief and concern."Are you alright?" he asked, helping him up.Naruto nodded weakly, the pain evident in his eyes. "It's done," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
