Two goombas are going to the same college, hoping to become best friends. Little do the the two of them know, they are going to develop romantic feelings for each other. Goombario X Goombella.

2. The friendship that started with chess

Chapter 2: The friendship that started with chess.

Narrator: "It wasn't long before all of the students were on board the boat." "Most of them were goombas, with the obvious exception being Flurrie." "Goombario was minding his own business reading a comic book, when a female Goomba sat down beside him." "This goomba was pink, with blonde hair, and a shiny silver helmet."

Goombario: "Hello, you must be Goombella, i've heard about the adventure you went on with Mario."

Goombella: "And you must be Goombario, Mario has told me all about you."

Goombario: "Is it true that you're studying to be an archeologist?"

Goombella: "Yeah, but it's way harder than people think."

Narrator: "Goombario then reached into his backpack, and pulled out a chess board."

Goombario: "Do you know how to play?"

Goombella: "Oh yes, I am unstoppable at chess."

Narrator: "The two of them played about three games, each one resulting in a stalemate." "Then, the temperature began to go down, and the room began to feel cold."

Goombella: "I think we're about to disembark."
