At long last, he could finally get out and get away from all the shooting, killing, and spying. He was happy to get a vacation now that both Teams could agree to take a break every once in a while. Even the main head woman agreed to it.
Dell Conagher, better known as the Engineer to his team, looked ready to head home and spend some time with his new family. On his way, he thought about visiting someone else. He looked up and looked at the image of himself and his cousin, Maddie Falord.
"God, she hated that last name." He said, chuckling.
He did know his cousin was married and had a few kids of her own. Not to mention her odd habit of studying ghosts. Dell had no idea why she would take up an interest in that, but he wasn't the type to kick his family down.
He soon saw a sigh that let him know that he was entering Amity Park. Dell smiles before giving a quick peek behind him.
"Almost there, Fam! Remember what we agree on.' He said, talking to the machines/toolboxes on the back of his truck.
He thought about calling his cousin but thought it would be a nice surprise instead.
"Can't wait to see her." He smiles.
As soon as he enters the town, he notices a street that looks a bit like a warzone. It reminds him of the fights on the "Maps" he went through. He keeps driving, trying to find the house his cousin lived in.
"Pardon me!" He said, pulling up to a group of teenagers.
"Sorry for buggin' ya. But do any of you kids know where I can find a Maddie Falord?" He asked.
"Falord?" They asked.
"Yeah, she hates that name. I heard she's married now, and I wanted to visit her now that I can take a break from my job." He said, laughing a bit to himself.
"Hold on, Maddie?" The boy said, walking up.
"Yep. Here." Dell said, showing the picture.
"Dude, is that your mom?" The other boy said.
"Yeah. Wow! I never seen her like that." The first boy said.
"You're one of Maddie's kids?" Dell asked, surprised.
"Yeah. And you are?" He said.
"Dell Conagher. But everyone calls me Engie." He said, smiling.
"Enige?" The girl asked.
"Short for Engineer. It grew on me." He laughs.
"If you know my mom, I guess it wouldn't hurt." The boy said.
"Wow, what are those?" The other boy asked.
"Heh, just some things I built in my time," Dell said, keeping it secret.
"Nice." The other body said.
"You an engineer?" Dell asked him.
"Not ready, I do like to work with machines. Even more so with my baby right here." The other body said, pulling out his PDA.
"Mighty fine tech you got there, sonny." Dell nodded.
"Oh, right! Since you know my mom, I guess it's safe to tell you our names." The first boy said.
"I'm Daniel, but everyone calls me Danny." He said.
"Tucker Foley."
"Sam Manson."
"Nice to meet ya," Dell said.
"Well, my house isn't hard to spot. Just look for the giant sign that says "Fenton Works" and you be there." Danny said.
"Well, thank ya kindly, partners! I've been looking forward to this visit for a long time." Dell smirks.
"Sure. Meet you there?" Danny asked.
"Sure. I would offer you a ride, but I don't want to cause any mishap." Dell said.
"Sounds good." Danny nodded.
With that, Dell drove off, not noticing one of his toolboxes opening a bit. A red dot lands on Danny before a bump closes the lid.
Later,
Dell was surprised to see the giant sign that said Fenton Works. He soon laughs before parking his truck.
"Just a bit longer, Fam." He said, getting out.
He walked over to the door and knocked. He waited until the door opened to show his cousin, who was surprised to see him.
"Dell?!"
"Howdy, cuz."
Maddie hugged him, surprised to see him.
"Dell! It's been ages!" She laughed as he patted her head.
"It sure has." He agreed, smiling.
"Who is it, Mads? Are they ghosts?"
Dell notices a large man walking up, making him think of Heavy.
"No, Jack. This is my cousin, Dell Conagher." Maddie told him.
Jack looked upset for a second before smiling.
"Nice to meet you, Dell!" He said, shaking his hand.
"Likewise. You must be Maddie's sweetheart." He said.
"Well, sucks." Jack blushed making Maddie giggle.
"It's so good to see you again. Want to come in?" Maddie said.
"In a minute." He said before turning to Jack.
"Mind helping carry my girls in?" He asked, pointing to the back of his truck.
"Sure," Jack said.
Once they carried everything inside, Maddiew was quite surprised to learn that her cousin built teleporters and what he called a dispenser.
"You really made a pair of machines with teleportation technology?" She asked, making Dell nod.
"Eyep. Wasn't easy. But I was able to work out some notes from my grandfather." He said, smiling.
"And this baby can heal any injury?" Jack asked, pointing to the dispenser.
"Mostly gunshot wounds, but it has saved my bacon a few times," Dell smirks.
"So, why do you have your toolboxes?" Maddie asked.
"Heh, now this is going to come as a surprise," Dell said, walking up to his first toolbox.
"You can come out now, Mimi." He said, making the toolbox shake.
It soon opens, showing a girl with a sleek and futuristic robotic body featuring a distinctive feature that resembles a brown overall with an emblem of Engineer on the upper left side of her chest, her left arm is painted yellow, and her small black skirt has a red and black checkered bottom edge of her skirt. Her face is much human-like and light and gray-colored, with delicate features that give her an innocent and friendly appearance. On the right eye, her iris is orange-colored and has a plus-shaped black part in it, which resembles the iconic TF2 logo, and her left eye was replaced with a red plate structure with a circular red light, which acts as a targeting eye. Her flowing red hair, including the red-checked white hair tubes for her sidelocks, adds a touch of warmth to her otherwise metallic form. One of the most distinctive features is her right arm, which has been replaced by a powerful turret cannon.
She looked around before seeing the Fenton Family.
"Hello!" She said, smiling.
"Dell? What?" Maddie said.
"Not done yet, Mads." He said before telling the others to show themselves.
The other toolboxes open, showing a taller girl and boy. The two teleporters transform into a pair of twins, one of them waving as the other just looks at them. Finally, the dispenser turned into a tall woman that had a screen for a face, but it soon smiled and waved at them.
"Everyone, this is my fam. Mimi, Senthia, Entela, and Exodus. My daughters." Dell said.
"Hi! It's nice to meet you." Entela said, cheerfully.
"Hey," Exodus said, seemly bored.
"Nice to you," Senthia said, waving.
"And this here is Dell-Spencer, my son," Dell said.
"Hi," He said, looking a bit bashful.
"And this is Dispenelope. My wife, you can say." He said.
"Nice to meet ya folks." She said, winking.
"Dell, how in the world?" Maddie started.
Dell smiles, knowing he had a lot to explain.
"So, should we keep watch?" Mimi asked.
"No, Mimi, we're not in the warzone. But remember what you all prisome." Dell said, making his family look at him.
"No killing people because they won't respawn outside the warzone." All the machines said.
"Are you sure about this, Dad?" Senthia asked.
"I know you'll are used to the fighting, but both sides have agreed to a break. Besides, I wanted to take you to see my cousin for some time." Dell said.
"Well, it would be nice to meet people that don't hide like that spy we have to deal with," Entela said, sighing.
"Don't get me started! Oh, just thinking about him makes me want to give him his medicine." Dispenelope said, her face showing anger.
"Easy, Hon. He knows the rules," Dell said.
"So, what do we do now?" The younger Dell asked.
Before Dell could say anything, the door opened and everyone saw Danny rushing in.
"Whew! Got back in time." He said before looking up.
"Um, am I interpreting something?" He said, surprised to see the robots in his living room.
"Howdy there, sonny. Just having everyone meet my fam." Dell said, smiling.
Danny stood there before Entela walked up and hugged him.
"Nice to meet you! Thanks for helping us earlier!" She said, squeeze him.
"Entela, you might as well let him go. He's human, after all." Exodus said, knowing her twin was crushing Danny's spine.
"Oh, right!" She said, putting him down.
Danny popped his back before Maddie finally got over her shock.
"Dell, what the hell have you been doing over these past few years?!" She shouted, shocked.
"It's a long story, cuz. Got any bacon?" Dell smiles.
Maddie sighed as Mimi looked at Danny. While he didn't look special, she did have a feeling that he was much different than the team back home. Something told her, that this vacation might not be as bad as she thinks.
And here we have a new crossover of Danny Phantom, Team Fortress. And just to be clear, I NEVER played any of the Team Fortress games. Mainly because they are first-person shooting games or shot-them-ups, I think they're also called. And as mentioned, I suck at first-person shooters.
Now let me explain something for people who haven't heard of these characters. First, Mimi, the one who started it all. Mimi is actually a female anthropomorphized version of a mini sentry turret from the game. She does have a bit of an amine look to her, but she's also not the kind you want to piss off because of the gun on her arm. The others are similar as well. Based on things that the Engieer uses in the game.
Senthia, yes, her name is spelled like that, is like Mimi but she's a bit more based on the higher levels of the sentry gun. I also read with each level she goes up, she gets more and more scary and bloodthirsty. Though she doesn't hurt her family or the team she's on. It also appears that she and Mimi used to be the same character until the fans split them.
Dell-Spencer, who seems to be named after the Engineer himself, is based on a dispenser much like Dispenelope. He's also the only male in the group, making him the one son/brother of the family.
Dispenelope, as I mentioned before, is based on the dispenser. The idea that heals you during the battle. She is also known as Dispenser Lady. While she is a healer, she's not hopeless in a fight. I also strongly believe she hates The Spy due to the number of times he stops her from working.
And finally, the Twins, Entela and Exodus. Their names are based on the words Entrance and Exit. They are based on the teleporters you would place on the map. Though twins, they do have different personalities. Entela is the complex blend of sweetness and stubbornness. Meaning she's the more cheerful of the twins. Exodus presents a stark contrast. Making her the opposite of her twin. But she does have a good heart.
And that's what I read from the Hero Wiki of the group. Since discovering about this yesterday, May 5 for those who may find this later, I actually like what was shown and told about these characters. Even saw a few videos on YouTube with them. All the characters do have an anime feel to them, but they are more like deadly robots you don't want to date if they can kill you. Just look them up to get an idea.
And one last thing, starting next chapter, Dell, the human, will be called Engie to avoid any confusion on which one is talking.
