Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or Vampire in Bund.
"Juneau Lord of Dermailles…" Vera got off the communicator as she gazed upon the Lord vampire that walked in strangely. The haughty racist Lord Vampire had been off the radar for quite a bit.
It hadn't bothered anyone of course. While he was indeed powerful in his own right and had resources his close mindedness was more detrimental than anything else. His inability to work with anything that wasn't a vampire did nothing but slow down their work.
Also rather than just being reluctant to work with others he went out of his way to cause problems. His obsession with the 3 Clans also caused a bit of separation between him and Mina's most trusted.
Like all the other brainwashed vampires he also thought that the only way the vampire race could live on was between a union with Mina and the clans. Completely ignoring any other option.
Comfortably ignoring exactly what those 3 clans did to gain such power. The fact that they hurt Vampires as a whole just to gain their powers. They were the main reason why they were in such a predicament after all.
So him leaving was a tiny blessing in surprise rather than any headache. They were able to run operations far more smooth without his interference.
"Veratos." The vampire nodded once in deference. She was higher in the hierarchy to him so it did not cause a single wave in his heart to do so.
The vampire had forgone his once stuffy old fashioned clothing. He was no longer donning a simple black suit which truly surprised Vera. This old man had been stuck in time so to speak so why now….
'Ah! His son died didn't he?' Her face remained unchanged, completely unsympathetic. The traitorous cur deserved the death penalty so why would she wallow?
"I observed the Wolves didn't have the manpower to keep all those vampires in line." The man uttered slowly, falling in step with his superior.
Vera frowned feeling him follow before smoothing it out.
"So I have taken the liberty of using my own men to keep them docile."
"The gesture is appreciated but don't you have to calm your people down?" She tried declining. They did not need his help truly.
The man frowned knowing she was speaking about his eldest heir.
"There are more important matters to attend to. These ruffians dare harm the Queen's reputation. I can not stand back and be idle. "
"Are you saying her highness can't handle such an issue? While it is true these terrorists were an issue it happens with all rulers. Just a thing like this won't cause her to be on the back foot." Her voice gained an edge at him suggesting the queen needed help.
"...of course not but is it not the job of subjects to the crown to take care of such little things?" Juneau replied back after a second.
"Hmmm." The woman hummed but did not continue that line of questioning.
"What are you here for Lord Juneau Dermailles? There was no reason for you to come personally." She made it clear that there was no need for his presence.
If he simply wanted to lend manpower he could have simply sent his men to any of Mina's subordinates and it would have been taken care of.
Stepping behind her as the door to the elevator was opened, Juneau shivered a bit remembering the last time he was here. Speaking of that…
"That is true. I need not come but I did. I wish to offer my services to Lord Uzumaki for his graciousness." the man came out and said it.
He had been up night and day worrying whether his next would be his last. He already knew how those in power got when insulted and insulted the teen he did.
To say that such a powerful creature had no right to the hand of the Queen…what was he thinking? Now he was only worrying whether his people and family would be annihilated.
It was par course for any conflict between vampires. Destroying entire lines was a commonplace. The 100 Noble Houses turning to 3 was just one example.
"Lord Uzumaki. I…see. That is understandable." Vera nodded as she had stopped in a bit of shock thinking about it. Yes indeed it made sense. Vampires were creatures of great lust for power so it made sense he came to bump elbows with the most powerful creature on the island.
Vera's eyes furrowed as she realized that the Princess was usurped as the strongest creature here. Of course while the leaders of the 3 clans also contended with her in strength; it was still somewhat equal.
However, from what the Uzumaki Lord had done prior… It wouldn't even be a contest. Her heart trembled when she remembered the feat. No one vampire had the power to fight so many lower vampires without using the instilled commands ingrained in their beings.
Yet he came and overturned that entire notion. She could only find solace that the queen seemed to have his affections. Should he turn his attention towards the unruly vampires she was sure their species would become extinct.
If such a man were to produce offspring she predicted that vampires would soon become obsolete in front of them. They would no longer be the top dogs.
Vera nodded at the guards as she came to the interrogation room. She did not go inside but simply watched from the one way screen in well concealed sadness.
"So this is the traitorous scum?" Juneau Dermailles immediately came in behind ruining the moment.
Taking a deep breath in Vera's eye twitched. Why couldn't this man be less predictable in what he spewed from that mouth of his?
"She is the source of problem yes." Vera confirmed lightly looking back at the weakened appearance. Though she added in her head.
'More like the middle man.' She narrowed her eyes. She knew Hysterica did not have the patience nor the brains to make a plot like this. She knew the woman since she was a little girl so it was obvious.
However…this didn't exactly line in with the goal of the 3 clans…She seemed ready to take princess Mina's life but that was the absolute last thing those clans wanted.
It was another reason why they didn't storm down Mina. Should she die they could kiss goodbye any chances to consort with the royal line.
So why would she…?
She paused feeling her back tingle. Juneau Dermailles seemed to also feel it as he looked towards the door in fear and excitement.
The man remembered the feeling very well. That heavy weight that pressed down onto him. He couldn't sense it before having never felt it but now it was crystal clear.
Vera got up brushing herself off in anticipation watching as the door opened.
The first thing she saw was the arm opening the door.
"Such a gentleman."Her princess came in smiling happily as she said it slowly. Vera eyes furrowed hearing the much more formal manner of speech.
She darted her eyes towards her queen's lips in shock. It was healing obviously but they were bruised and stained in blood.
Her shock didn't end when she observed the inch taller form of her queen. The black dress with intricate frills she loved so much also seemed tighter in the chest area.
She had been with her for more than 100 years so it was easy to see.
'The princess is growing?! But what about the plan?!'
"Is there a reason you're talking like a old woman?" She gulped looking up to the blonde who spoke. She was even more shocked seeing the teen look like he had been thrown through a meat grinder.
His face was dripping with sweat, his body seemed a shade paler and his neck was completely covered in punctures. It went from his neck and trailed down before being hidden by his white dress shirt.
While Vera was shocked she turned to her queen hearing her name.
"Veratos. My most trusted." She ignored the blonde's question as she glided near her subordinate happily.
Vera glanced at the blonde who sat down tiredly before looking at her queen.
"Well done, thou hast acquitted thyself with merit. We burdned thee with quite a predicament. " She mused slowly patting her hand as she looked past the baffled woman.
Vera looked on hearing the conversation.
"Juneau Dermailles? What business pertains thou here? Should thou not be securing thy line of succession?" She cooked a eyebrow at her troublesome servant.
The man stiffened feeling the bland glance from the blonde before he looked away. Sweating he looked into the amused eyes of his queen that seemed to be saying "Calm down."
Taking deep breaths the man tried to say his true goal in coming before deciding to do it tomorrow. The pressure was just too much.
"I wished to lend a hand towards the issue that has been plaguing you my queen." He immediately kneeled saying so.
He looked down at her shoes as she hummed unconvinced. He flinched feeling the hand pat his head once before resting there.
"It isn't in thy interest to lie to thee." Of course even though she said that she didn't speak again. She simply watched him.
Dropping his head realizing she was right he tried gathering his courage to say it. He couldn't disobey a direct order.
"I-I have." He paused clearing his throat.
"I have come to offer my services to Lord Uzumaki. In hopes that he forgives my slight." He finally got out after stopping many times.
There was silence for a minute and the sound of nothing got him to break out in sweat as he glanced upwards.
He was only able to catch the movement of her head coming back towards him as she smiled.
"Is that so? I had been delaying your punishment on account of the unfortunate accident that befell thy eldest." She said it easily as if she wasn't the one who killed him with a stab to the heart.
"A riveting idea. I've been looking for ways to get Naruto more established and yet you deliver yourself on a silver platter. You've pleased me today." She chuckled, moving away from him.
The man continued kneeling not knowing whether she accepted or declined his it.
"So Hysterica was apart of this hmm?" Mina walked to the one way screen looking down at her ignoring Naruto cringing away from the older male vampire.
"It would seem so princess. Would you like me to question her now?" Vera had been waiting for her presence to do so. Or rather she had been waiting as long as she could to delay the process. No matter what she became she could only see her dear friend. Not a terrorist.
Vera watched as her queen contemplated the words as before glancing at the blonde with reluctance. She couldn't help but wonder what she was thinking about looking at him with such eyes.
She watched as she sighed before shaking her head."No. I shall do so. I haven't tried my hand at it in quite some time."
Mina said so before turning her eyes to Vera slowly with a smile. "That said…how about you tell me a bit about your times with her?"
(Break)
Hysterica looked up blearily hearing the door open. She could hear the heavy metal door being pushed open easily. She could only rely on her ears as her eyes had been covered.
'...' From the light footsteps she could only assume it was the princess ready to grace her with her appearance.
She grinded at the cloth in anger. At her presence. To think her plan had been going so well. She had everything in place to kill her and yet still fell short.
The bombs, the vampires and the vampires with bombs all capable of taking her out and yet it all fell short to…
She shivered remembering the blonde devil. He had multiplied by at least 100 in a second and ripped out each and every bomb from the stomachs of the vampires under her temporary control. Not a single one had died when she had ordered the suicide bombing and it shook her deeply.
He did that all because she as he eloquently put it "Interrupted his short time with his red eyed rapunzel."
With the way he had delivered the line you would have thought it was his last day on earth and yet she could still smell his scent permeating the room before the door was shut.
'He's outside!' The woman felt her body lose all tension. She had been hoping to escape but that was impossible now.
So she didn't even flinch when she felt her blind fold being ripped off or her mouth piece being moved.
"Hnng." She flexed her jaw feeling relieved from the pain as she glared at the smaller vampire who raised an eyebrow.
"I imagine that will allow us to engage in conversation far better?" She turned around, taking the chair from the table sitting in it.
Hysterica watched as the girl crossed her legs tapping on the table idly.
'She thinks this is a game doesn't she?' The younger vampire nearly bared her fangs at her. Clearly she was enjoying the power she had over her.
"How have you been Hysterica ? I've been told you just up and vanished one day without a word. You've worried someone who cares about you." Mina rested her cheek on her palm, holding eye contact.
While her tone said she wasn't really interested, her eyes told a different story.
Hysterica snorted in contempt.
"Worried about me? Don't make me laugh." She looked at the Vampire Queen with renewed hatred. To think she'd be taunted like this by one she hated the most.
She could go down as history's greatest loser.
"It seems you have quite a bit of hatred for me? I wonder why. We've never met officially before." Mina said in mock confusion leading her on.
"You've never met me? It makes sense! Most people in power never meet those whose lives they ruined!" The woman's tone got a bit more heated hearing her try to placate her.
Who the hell was she to say such a thing?!
Mina blinked as she sat up. She tilted her head and widened her eyes. "I've ruined your life? Is that what you're implying? I'll have to deny such an accusation. In fact I doubt I did anything to you at all."
Hysterica 's eyes became bloodshot. The first conversation she had with this woman and it was her saying she didn't even have a hand in single handedly destroying the peace she had?
"You should calm down. You'll only hurt yourself." Mina mused gently watching the woman take on her true form. Or rather tried to anyway.
The only thing she succeeded in doing was ripping apart her muscles from the strain. She could not break through metal after all.
Who did she think she was? Her? The queen of vampires?
Hysterica bit her lips looking down still seeing red. How humiliating. The woman sat there and watched as she struggled and raged like a wild animal.
She felt like an insect with the way she was watching the debacle. Like an animal in a zoo.
Mina got up and walked slowly over to her. Circling her chair she asked slowly.
"How did I ruin your life exactly? Tell me? Shouldn't you at least air your grievances before your death? That way your life won't be in vain.." She coaxed her gently. Indeed these pied eyed piper nanomachines were something fierce.
To think she would ever have to lower herself to coaxing something that was already her own to speak.
Where else could you hear something so foolish?
Hysterica looked down, feeling her vision waiver. Just remembering brought the old wound back.
"You in your infinite wisdom decided to separate me and my lady! She gave up her lordship over me to serve under you! The life we built together ruined over the selfish plans of a spoiled little princess!" She shouted looking down with tears not seeing the eyes being rolled.
'Of course. Somehow I'm the villain here.' Mina thought with a silent sigh. How she was responsible for the collapse of the relationship she would never know but she would have to play along.
"Indeed that is troubling no? To separate such a devoted servant from her master." Mina sat on the table crossing her legs.
"Though I've never once forbidden any contact between you and her. So why did you betray her?" Mina tilted her head seeing the woman flinch.
Hysterica gritted her teeth hearing the tone in her voice. How dare she taunt her! Acting as if she didn't know. She refused to even answer that.
"..." Mina observed for a second before her eyes widened a tad.
'I see. I was looking at this the wrong way.' she nearly grinned but settled on a small smile.
"I see you were smitten with Vera weren't you?" Her eyes watched as the vampire froze in place. Mina crossed another leg.
"In fact if I had to wager you are still smitten with her. Everything happening now is nothing more than the tantrum of a little girl who got her lover stolen away." She didn't once pause in her words even when the woman began struggling violently.
She was thrashing about like she was having her final death throes. She longer cared about her flesh, muscles or bones as she twisted and turned.
Mina simply watched, letting her get it out.
"Hah hah hah." The woman took deep breaths feeling the tears at the corner of her eyes. She looked down and said nothing, feeling her heart pain her.
She tried not listening to the venomed laced words. "I suppose it's to be expected. You who were never introduced to vampire society probably expected me and her relationship to be the same as yours."
She closed her eyes but her ears couldn't stop listening. "So that's what you thought this entire time? That I was delving into the depths of debauchery with your Lady? Is that why you broke your faith with her? If you can't have her, no one will?"
Mina paused.
"Are you truly so cliché?"
Hysterica glared down in humiliation but said nothing. She had long lost when she gave her the reaction she wanted.
Her ears perked up out of her control though hearing the deep angered sigh.
"All of this trouble for the foolishness of a child. Instead of actually talking you decide to become a terrorist." She watched as the hand was brought into her vision before her face was brought upwards.
She shivered looking into the hypnotic red eyes boring into her soul.
"Has it ever once occurred to you…" Mina began informing the ignorant woman.
"That I do not see my servants in such a manner? Has this thought in 100 years ever once crossed your mind? Or are you so foolishly consumed by your natural inclination towards lust that you ignore all logic and reasoning?" The queen muttered blandly looking into her trembling eyes, releasing her chin.
It was truly disappointing. In all ways. To think she had such trouble with a lovestruck puppy. She didn't even do much and she already broke. She wondered if her little backer knew she sent such an emotionally weak vampire to deal with this.
Still no matter how much she felt deprived of a true challenge she did her duty.
"With that said." she placed her hand on her shoulder feeling her flinch.
Ignoring that she leaned down and whispered. "What would you do to have the opportunity to reunite with your Lady? She misses you, don't you know? I'm sure with some convincing you can get her to forgive you."
The woman flinched violently as her eyes widened. This crazy woman couldn't possibly be thinking!
"Betray that who you have sworn yourself to. It shouldn't be hard. You've done it once before. Pledge yourself to me and I'll allow you the life you once had." Mina dragged her hand through the woman's long hair.
Smiling she braided into one single braid, her eyes turning into crescents seeing her flinch.
"Is there a need to dither? I'm giving you the opportunity to run away from your sins at the low cost of giving away something rather inconsequential. While I'm sure you do hold valuable information, I as a queen have other things to do."
Mina sat back on her chair. Placing the cards in her hands. There was nothing else for her to do here.
"So you have 20 minutes to show me your loyalty. Do make haste however I have a date with a blonde to keep." The girl smiled as she sat up folding her hands.
After 5 minutes Hysterica sang like a bird.
(Break)
'He's angry.' Was Vera's immediate thought when she glanced at the teen looking inside the one way glass.
It had been a surprising amount of revelations for her. Hysterica was more of a sister to her than anything else. So to hear she supposedly had feelings for her was truly boggling.
In hindsight it was easy to see. She lived long enough to know such signs. She could only chalk it up to her having known her too long to get out the preconceived notions she had of her.
Not wanting to think about that can of worms she looked over to the blonde clenching his upper arm and frowned. She truly hoped he wasn't actually upset at what the princess just did.
It wasn't even a drop in the bucket compared to other things. He was uniquely positioned to harm the princess with just words alone so if he decided to do so?
…She would do nothing. She had no power compared to him after all. She could only hope she would be able to comfort her princess if worse came to worst.
She jumped hearing him address her. "Veratos right?"
She quickly turned and performed a curtsy. "Indeed Lord Uzumaki. I am one of Princess Mina's most trusted. Please let me know any questions you may have."
She heard him humming slowly. "These…3 clans and Telomere. I've been hearing about them everywhere yet no true details."
She glanced at his eyes seeing the complete seriousness. "What relation do they have to Mina exactly?"
She gulped at his tone. Well, wasn't that menacing? With how close he was to the princess she did not know if telling him such a thing was wise. While powerful he did not seem to be the type to..
"Lord Uzumaki! Perhaps I may be of assistance." Juneau Dermailles immediately stepped over her bowing to the Uzumaki in deference.
'You traitorous cur!' The woman grit her teeth in panic. Didn't he already know what may happen should he tell him? Did the fool want to bring war onto their doorsteps?
She was about to quickly order him to leave. So long as she didn't offend the Uzumaki by making a reason she was sure she would be fine.
She was stopped by a eye on her body as she froze stiff. Her head creaked to the side seeing the Uzumaki look at her with a glance before looking back at the man.
She was sweating bullets hearing the conversation. "You're that guy I nearly turned to stone right? You must be pretty old. Tell me who these people are…later today. Mina is coming." Naruto quickly put on a smile as the princess came in.
Vera could only watch in trepidation as the couple talked. She needed to tell her highness but she couldn't do so with him around. A disaster was coming she could smell it!
(Break)
"Lord Juneau Dermailles right?" Naruto swing into the man's room silently later that day as he pitched up in fear thinking he was being attacked. He was dressed in his favorite pajamas and was quite embarrassed.
"L-lord Naruto! Please refer to me as Juneau! This one doesn't have the right to-" Naruto immediately stopped the blabbering. The woman's reaction earlier gave him deep unsettled vibes. He wouldn't be able to sleep without knowing what exactly was going on.
"All right! Juneau. Tell me now. What exactly are these 3 clans and why is Mina…" He hesitated, not wanting to say afraid. That would make it real. He knew his friend was fighting against other forces however he didn't know the extent. Still the way she avoided the topic and the shake that racked her sometimes…
"Of course right this way sir!" the man directed him to the chair as he sat. The vampire quickly brought out a book that looked aged.
Juneau Dermailles took a deep breath in as he prepared himself. It wasn't often that he recounted the terrible events. He was aware that many of the princess' guards looked at him like scum for wanting her to marry one of the 3 clans but…
What solution were they putting on the table? This deadlock existed for years and there was so sign of her highness getting out. She was ritually humiliated so many times yet they refused to try to end it.
Holding out or some foolishness. Did they not think he also had no wish to see her so weak? If she just picked one she could move on and-
"Oi." He froze hearing the annoyance in his tone as he quickly got to recounting.
"My apologies. Allow me to begin. A long time ago there were 100 noble families of vampires. They held up the pillars of vampire society and they were primarily created to protect the royal family. For without them there are no vampires."
The man coughed. "However as you know our race is one of passion and lust. Due to such a disposition we were plunged into war as a whole by the noble families. As expected from a war their numbers dwindled steadily and our society fractured into factions."
"Still even during this war everyone was completely focused on the safety of the royal family as such they were never brought into it…." He squeezed his hands feeling the familiar dislike come up.
He looked at Lord Uzumaki who was paying rapt attention.
"Until they rose to power. House Rozenmann, House Li and finally House Ivanovic."
"They deemed upon themselves the title The Three Great Clans, they were equal to each other in power and formed an alliance never seen before. For vampires are creatures of greed and lust and beyond their one duty nothing else mattered in the face of pleasure." He took a deep breath, continuing.
"In one swoop they completely destroyed their scattered noble counterparts and absorbed the stragglers with their own power. Some say it was too easy. As if they had already begun planning long ago. I say it doesn't matter. Especially after what happened next."
"The traitors turned their attention to the now unguarded crown! The House of Tepeş! The royal family! They burnt the royal palace to the ground and built their own statues over the ashes! They pursued the royal family and hunted them down then they…" He huffed and puffed in anger before hesitating as he got to the disgusting act.
It was known to every vampire just what they did to the queen and his heart quivered for her. He looked at Lord Uzumaki seeing him watching him with a vein on his forehead protruding.
"Take your time. Don't push yourself." He heard the benevolent man speak as he calmed down.
"My apologies.." Juneau sat down muttering as he caught himself. He swallowed, finishing much more quietly.
"The queen, our beautiful queen…princess Mina's mother, Lucretia Tepes was… d-defiled like a common sow." The man's face screwed up at recalling the act. To hear something about she who should be worshipped...
"Then they killed her when they discovered she was useless to them." He closed his eyes in pain.
"For what they realized was a true blooded vampire can only bear a child but once in her life." He felt the pressure descend on the room for a second before it left. Looking up he caught the broken chair under Lord Uzumaki as he stood getting another.
A completely understandable action that only endeared him to the man's cause. Hopefully he would be able to take them out of this nightmare.
"C-continue." He heard the man choke out his voice, clogged in rage. It terrified him as much as it thrilled him. Still the next recount lowered his mood.
"Her majesty is the only full blooded vampire in the world now. As such to avoid the bloodline disappearing she must have a child with one of them." He sighed out.
"So after sundering her family, raping her mother and killing her right after, harassing her to the ends of the earth, they also want her to bear a child with them?" The man did not dare look up as he heard the completely normal tone of voice.
As if he was just recounting the weather.
Terrifying.
"Is there anything else I need to know?"
Juneau nodded slowly. "It isn't all gloom and doom. Being the last true blood vampire along with her underdeveloped body saved her. To lay a hand on her means to destroy us as a whole and I mean that. They knew if they pushed her too far and she would take her life in return…"
"It would be the end of us all." Juneau Dermailles wiped the sweat off his forehead.
"It's been so many years since then and her majesty has valiantly built a semblance of our nation again with the help of others like Wolfgang, Veratos and myself."
"With constant interference from the clans and those who do not wish for us to rise she was able to gain power to push back." He looked at the young man whose chest was rising a bit quicker than at the beginning.
"..." Naruto calmed down a bit. He closed his eyes, putting his hand on his chest as he thought. He had thought he had fought true adversity but he didn't.
He thought for a second.
His mother. His beautiful mother with her stunning red hair and purple eyes. She was so kind and just a inch away from exploding always. He only met her once but he was deeply in love with her.
And she loved him so much. So much.
What would he do if someone laid their hands on her? If they...they-
….
He tried imagining it as his mind blanked.
…..
He would kill them.
….
That was his first and final thought.
He sat waiting for the retort from himself. How he would be able to make them understand each other.
After all he forgave so many people already admittedly after they got beat to near death.
Still he forgave them.
So why didn't the thought form? After everything he already went through it should be ingrained into his very being right?
He forgave both people who killed his parents whether willingly or not so why..?
Why did just the thought of his mother defiled nearly drive him insane?
He closed his hands as the thought came to him.
'I'm a hypocrite.' It was a slow realization. Looking over to the man he saw him shaking for some reason.
"If." Naruto paused, feeling something strange. Calming down he asked the question again.
"If Mina has all of these resources why can't she…" Naruto trailed off.
Juneau understood what he meant.
"While these resources are truly impressive, the strength of the 3 clans has also improved. Not only that martial strength is also the main factor. Should even 2 of them come together the princess would not be able to resist." He hesitated stating the other reason.
It felt like the feather that would topple the entire pile.
"Don't hold back. Go on." Juneau wondered how many times the man was set on scaring him. Now his tone sounded like he was about to explode.
"Her highness is no longer a child they could scare with physical threats so they became more insidious. Citing a need to check her purity for marriage they…"
"They have grasped a mental weakness of her majesty…to keep her compliant…they perform a test of chasity on her to humiliate her every 5 or so years. In full view of all 3 heads." He shrinked back, waiting for the explosion that never came. Looking at the young man he was confused by the calm face.
"A chasity test. I…" Naruto was speechless. The nature of the talk already clued him in on the nature of everything related to it so it was easy to guess what a chasity test in full view meant.
"..." Naruto rolled his eyes around his head as he wondered which one to kill first. Did this really happen to his friend? It felt surreal. He would have never have guessed it.
She was more well adjusted than she had any right being. It made him admire her.
He also wondered if a vampire would die from being dropped from the stratosphere. All it took was a single bubble and they would watch as they were risen to their doom.
...
No no, that was too easy. Too clean.
Looking up he decided it was enough ignoring the wave of negative emotions he felt from upstairs, as he went up to comfort her leaving the man to stew in fear.
His entire being needed to do so. He would make sure she knew she never had to fear them again.
What was it she called him? Her blonde knight? He would have to do some work to live up to the title.
What pained him the most was that she knew his power. She knew what he could do. What he really was.
Yet she never once asked him to help her. In fact he was sure the intention never once went through her mind.
'It was too hard, wasn't it?' He mused sighing, trying to hold back his surfacing emotions. He always did feel too much.
Yes. She had been alone too long. It must be difficult to even think help was near. To believe a way out was just a hair distance away.
He had long realized
She knew.
She knew he was here and allowed him to stay without interfering as she suffered knowing what he was learning. He could feel the fear, the self depreciation, the loneliness, depression and so many things that he couldn't name for he never experienced them in his life.
Intricate nuances of fear he would never understand. A deep web of constant anxiety that harbored at the back of the mind.
And wasn't that telling?
He had no clue what was going on through her head now. She was self-deprecating like that. He already knew and accepted her.
But that was fine, everything was going to be alright. If his words didn't change it, that was fine. He would use his body. If that didn't work then his soul.
And after that?
There would be no grand spectacle. That was reserved for actual threats.
He wouldn't be leading them away for easy pickings either. They didn't warrant such consideration.
He wouldn't sneak attack them either. He wanted it in full view of all their people. All their subjects who followed them would see their dismantling.
Clones? No, he wanted to rip them apart himself. He didn't want some second hand feeling from his clone either.
Even with his rage he knew what was truly important. That was why he never once thought of going to them now.
Someone else was far more important. So much more important to him. Even with her flaws.
Still. How he wished they knew.
He wouldn't run towards them. That would indicate they were a threat.
He would set a nice even pace. Once he got their energy signatures down he would follow them to the ends of the earth. No matter where they ran or who they ran to it would be the same conclusion.
Something they had been avoiding all this time.
Death.
Via a human they despised.
Poetic wasn't it? Not that he would know. He wasn't all that smart.
That was Mina's thing.
Though he would acknowledge one thing of note.
These clans did something no one else did before concerning him.
It was the first time he felt such a savage emotion.
The raw pulsing red that nearly overwhelmed his vision.
Not Madara, not Kaguya, not Orochimaru or Sasuke. No one.
They gained the undying hatred of one Uzumaki Naruto.
And they would suffer for the ill timed achievement.
For this was not the child who wished to be hokage and bring peace.
But the man who lost everything and would burn anything to keep his light.
His little crimson eyed Rapunzel.
If I ever make another crossover of this series, it would be a bit more intricate. That's my only dislike anyway. Seems too simple.
Anyway no more canon from here.
