The ride back to Beacon was awkward, why wouldn't be awkward when someone you have not seen for a month claims to have been gone for two and a half years? Jaune Arc, leader of team JNPR and arguably the weakest student in all of Beacon Academy had not only come back during the breach, but he even managed to tie up Roman Torchwick, and defeat several members of the White fang without breaking a sweat!
How did he improve in such a short amount of time? This was what a lot of his friends were wondering as they got a good look at him now, especially the scar that was over his left eye that made Weiss's scar look tiny!
His appearance wasn't the only thing that changed, Jaune clearly had seen action wherever he was, as his eyes indicated they were the eyes of an experienced fighter, not the amateur he was a month ago.
"Sir, are you sure we should let him have his weapons?"inquiredinquired one of the Atlas soldiers, who currently had his gun pointed at Jaune.
The Atlas soldier asked this, because Jaune not only had his sword and some kind of belt filled with tools, but he appeared to have something attached to his left boot, along with seven of those balls, one of which contains that yellow mouse like who seems to follow the young man's orders without question.
"We don't know what else he has on him, so best to listen to his demands for now, unless he proves our trust in him otherwise."said the General to his subordinate, making the soldier get back in position like he never said anything.
A few minutes past and no one said anything, until it was time to get off the bullhead and had to Beacon Tower. Once everyone got up from their seats, Ruby was looking at Jaune's cool looking new weapons like his guns, and what you suspected to be a baton in his left boot.
She wanted to ask something, but a quick glance from Professor Goodwitch shut her down. Jaune was no stranger to the stares; he could hear whispers from many of the students at Beacon, saying things like "Where has he been all this time?" All that stuff.
He ignore them, as he had other business to attend to, and that was to talk to the headmaster and explain what happened to him a month ago, or two and a half years for him.
So he just ignored the staring and gossip as he and the rest of the group arrived at BeaconTower, and made their way into the elevator. The Atlas soldier stayed behind, acting as guards to the elevator, as it went up.
Pyrrha wondered what her friend and secret crush was going to say, how was he going to explain his disappearance? How was he going to explain being away from them for so long...From her for so long...
Ruby was thinking pretty much the same thing.
Yang was wondering if vomit boy's explanation was going to make up for all the heartache he put her little sister through, by disappearing without so much is saying goodbye.
Weiss on the other hand was wondering how the weakest student at Beacon Academy managed to get so strong in such a short amount of time. There was no way that he was gone for two and a half years when it's only; his story doesn't make sense, that is what she thought.
Blake was thinking pretty much the same thing. It was clear to her that her acquaintance had gotten stronger, but how? Just a month ago he could hardly keep up with anyone, and yes here he was, defeating Roman Torchwick and the White Fang like it was nothing!
Nora was an expert when it came to muscles thanks to the fact that she was a gym rat. She new for a fact that her fearless leader had put on a few pounds, in muscle! His v taper, abs, triceps, biceps, soleus, and many other kinds of muscles on his body had clearly got an upgrade since the last time she saw him. She could also tell that he had feathering around his torso, to the point where she thought that he could compete in bodybuilding as a bodybuilding model. She at the same time wondered if he worked on his thunder thighs, just like she taught him...
Ren meanwhile noticed that Jaune had indeed improved. He also noticed that the sword Jaune was wielding was slightly different from the sort he usually wields. It was Cocea Mors' handle, but the blade was a bit shorter in a lot thicker. He could see that it had been improved to fight without a shield. Sepaking of which, Ren wondered where Jaune's shield was, as the young man wasn't carrying it.
Suddenly the elevator doors open, and behind his desk was none other than professor Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon Academy.
"Mr Arc, it's good to see you again after a month."said the headmaster, who appeared relief to see his student alive and well.
"It's actually been two and a half years, at least where I've been."clarified Jaune, making his friends look at him with strange looks.
"You keep saying that. Why don't you tell us why you keep saying that?"inquire General Ironwood, wanting the young man to explain himself.
"I suppose it couldn't hurt telling you how I ended up off planet."said Jaune, shocking everyone in the room.
"Off planet?! But no one in the history of Remnant has ever gotten into space!"pointed out Weiss, one at the same time wondering what Jaune was even talking about.
"Jaune, are you sure you're okay in the head?"asked Yang with concern, as she didn't want her little sister's male best friend to have a concussion or two.
"No, I'm perfectly sane. And I'm about to tell you how I ended up in an entirely different world."said Jaune, making his friends even more concerned about his sanity.
"Jaune, are you sure you're okay?"inquired Ren, wanting his male friend be okay.
"I'm okay! Now just shut up and listen."said Jaune with an assertive attitude.
This caught his friends off guard, as he was never this assertive. Some like the new assertive Jaune, particularly one redhead.
"Mr Arc, what happened to you the day you disappeared?"inquired Ozpin, wanting to know what happened to his student on the day he vanished without a trace.
"I remember like it was yesterday. I will never forget what happened."said Jaune before he began telling everyone what happened to him that day he disappeared.
(Flashback)
Jaune had decided to go into the Emerald Forest to do some secret training with Pyrrha's advice. He knew that the Vytal Festival was coming up in a couple of weeks, and he needed to be prepared!
"Okay, I'm going into the forest today to take him some Beowolves and some Ursa! The Vytal Festival festivals coming up and I need to be in my a game if I want to represent beginning team JNPR! Pyrrha told me I need to work on my swings, as well as my thrusting attacks. I also need to work on my defense as any heavy attack easily knocks away my shield from its position, which could leave me vulnerable to attack. I also definitely need to work on my thrusting attacks, especially on heavily armored Grimm."said Jaune, reminding himself of everything his partner told him he needed to improve on.
"Let's see, I'm not going to be one of those idiots that venture too deep into the forest, but if the worst comes to worse I have this compass app on my scroll to help me get back."said Jaune before he ventured even further into the forest, so he could look for some Grimm to use as targets.
"I want to focus on Beowolves and Ursa! Beowolves don't have much armor, but they make up for that with their nimble bodies. I can you use them to deal with opponents who specialize it with speed attacks. As for Ursa, I need to focus on heavy slashing/thrusting attacks with those kinds of opponents. With this kind of practice I'll be one step closer to helping team JNPR win the Vytal Festival!"said Jaune, who was determined to do his part for his team, as their leader.
That is when Jaune saw something all too familiar to him.
It was the cave he entered with Pyrrha when they first became partners during initiation. It was the same cave that he encountered that ancient Deathstalker, the first Grimm he and his team ever defeated!
"Man, it looks completely abandoned now. I'm not surprised since this place used to be home to a powerful Grimm."said Jaune, who decided to check out the cave for Old times sake.
He quickly pulled out his scroll and activated the flashlight feature so he could look inside, and what he saw inside look like ancient paintings from some ancient people long ago, possibly even a lost civilization.
"Man, I can't believe no one's ever looked in this cave before. Then again, an ancient deathstalker call this place it's home for who knows how long, so I guess it was impossible for archaeologists to study this place..But now that it's abandoned and I've discovered these ancient paintings, maybe I can find something that can help but prove my grade in Dr Oobleck's class."said Jaune, hoping making some discovering here will help improve his grade in the doctor's class.
So he went a little bit further in and saw that there was a split in the cave path. That is when Jaune saw something that should have been impossible for a cave this deep. He saw what he swore to be sunlight.. Thinking that's something was strange, Jaune headed in the direction of the light and sure enough a few meters and he found some kind of room with a stone table in the middle. On said Stone table was some kind of bluish white hexagon necklace.
"Wow, that is one pretty necklace."said Jaune before he decided to get closer, to get a better look.
Once he got towards the table, he decided to do something very stupid. Jaune, feeling like an archaeologist making a new discovery slowly tried to pick up the necklace. Sweat fell down from his brow as he removed the necklace and quickly backed away from the table, hoping he didn't activate any kind of ancient trap. A few seconds past and nothing happened, just the same sunlight hitting the top of the table.
"Phew..."said Jaune, who then decided to leave the cave as he thought he long overspent his day, and that this necklace he found will definitely improve his grade with Dr Oobleck.
That is when he saw something he!
There in front of him was some kind of pink kangaroo creature. It was a pink, bipedal creature with mammalian features. It has a rounded, wide snout; triangular ears; and large, blue eyes. It has short arms with three-fingered paws and large hind paws with oval markings on the soles. Its tail is long and thin with an ovoid tip.
Jaune immediately freaked out upon seeing the creature, who quickly thought it was a new species of Grimm! So he quickly pulled out Crocea Mors, and tried to deliver a slash attack! This resulted in the sore breaking into a dozen pieces as soon, as it touch the creature's skin!
"What?!"shouting Jaune, who couldn't believe his sword that had been passed down through his family for generations had broken so easily, especially since it survived the Great War!
Now normally anything would be annoyed after being attacked for no reason, but for some reason this creature a period amused as soon as it was hit.
"Wow, that was amazing!"said the creature, who was somehow speaking without its mouth moving.
"How...How are you talking?!"asled Jaune, as he tried to back away, only for some kind of psychic energy to pick him up and throw him into, which he was quickly pinned to!
"I'm Mew! And I'm talking to you using telepathy."said the creature that called itself Mew.
"Look! I'm sorry I attacked you!"said Jaune, hoping the creature would let him go if he apologized.
"Oh no, there is no reason to be sorry! I'm actually happy that you attacked me, as it's been a millennia since I've had a good attack."said Mew, making the young man wonder if this creature had a screw loose or something, as who in their right mind would be happy about being attacked.
"You're a very interesting human! I just came here because I thought some tomb robber was trying to steal Terapagos, but you're clearly here out of pure coincidence."said Mew, to which Jaune not in his head as best he could despite being pinned by psychic power.
"Well I was just going to let you go, but I have a better idea after you attack me."said Mew with a smirk, making Jaune sweat bullets down his body.
"I decided to send you to my world, the world of pokémon to become a pokémon trainer. With your skills, guts, and Aura you will make an amazing pokémon trainer! And to give you a little incentive, the only way you'll ever get back home is to find me somewhere in the pokémon. Think a bit of a game of Meowth and Pikachu! Or hide and seek for you humans! I'll be the hider and you be the seeker! Doesn't that sound like a great idea!"said Mew with excitement.
"Huh?"said Jaune, who didn't understand what was going on.
Mew meanwhile smart as it snapped its fingers. This cause the pink portal out of a sci-fi movie to appear near Jaune! Jaune quickly realize what was happening and tried to get away, only for his whole body to begin floating towards the portal!
"Good luck on your pokémon Journey, Jaune Arc. I hope we meet someday again and battle!"said Mew, waving goodbye to Jaune, as he was dragged into the portal.
"Srew you!"said Jaune, angry that this was happening to him when he already apologized.
Now he was going to be forced to do something out of his control just because some little pink devil thought it was amusing to mess with him!
(End of Flashback)
"Wow, that is some story, Mr Arc."said Ozpin before he took a sip of his coffee.
"So let me get this straight! Some little pink creature abducted you, and you're supposed to believe that will accept that answer."said Yang, looking at Jaune like he was crazy.
"I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's the truth. Shouldn't Pikachu, the yellow mouse like creature I was with earlier be more than enough proof."said Jaune, pointing to his pokeballs.
"That's a good point."said Blake, who couldn't explain the mouse like creature that Jaune had, as there was no other such creature on the face of Remnant, at least as far as she knew.
"Anyway, I spent a year looking through the Pokemon world for Mew-!"said Jaune before he was interrupted.
"What's a Pokemon?"asked Ruby, who raised her hand.
"Pocket Monsters, or Pokemon for short are animals that can harness the power of nature like fire, water, electricity, etc. They leaving a place called the Pokemon world with another civilization of humans. Some of these humans use pokeballs, the things on my belt to capture and train pokémon for the purpose of competitive battle-!"explained Jaune before he was interrupted again.
"I'm sorry, but they force these poor creatures to fight each other?"asked Weiss, who thought that was the most ridiculous and cruel thing she's ever heard.
"You think they're forced to fight each other? Hah! Pokemon are battle maniacs who love the thrill of battle, regardless if it's competitive or real battle! They battle each other all the time in the wild, and this is because Pokemon society is ruled by who is the strongest Pokemon!"said Jaune, who considered the very idea of forcing a Pokemon to do anything to be ludicrous.
"But why do they battle under a human's orders?"inquired Ren, as everyone else was curious about the same thing.
"Because a very long time ago Pokemon discovered that by joining up with a human, aka the pokémon trainer, the process of getting stronger happens at a faster rate! The strongest Pokemon in the pokémon World belong to Pokemon trainers. So it isn't uncommon for pokémon to jump out of tall grass or whatever when they see a human. The Pokemon question will challenge that human to battle, to see if they are worthy of being their pokémon trainer."said Jaune, who knew this was the case, as it happened to him plenty of time throughout his journey of the pokémon world.
"I guess that makes sense. Different world, different rules I guess."said Blake, who decided to accept Jaune's answer.
"So you challenged Mew to a rematch with your Pokemon and one, what happened next?"inquired Ruby, wanting to know what happened to her male best friend next.
"Well I thought that Mew was going to send me home with my Pokemon in tow. But that little pink devil had other ideas."said Jaune, who appear to have a scowl on his face.
"What happened?"inquired Pyrrha with worry.
"Give me a minute, as it's hard to remember everything."said Jaune, who needed some time to recuperate in order to recall all of his memories.
"Give him space, everyone."said Professor Goodwitch, allowing her student to gather his thought so he can give a better explanation.
After all, everyone already knew there was more to the story!
