I DO NOT own Command & Conquer.
An entire year has gone since the Empire of the Rising Sun, and the Soviets joined forces to crush the Allies and split what was left of the free world between them. Commander Brady Parrish, the Allies Commander, lay on his cot in his Jail cell as a Soviet Conscript walked by and got shot in the head, surprising Brady to make him sit up on his cot. Soon two people appeared in his sight. One grabbed the Key from the dead Soviet, and the other kept watch. Soon the one with the Key opened Brady's Cell and said, "Brady Parrish…" and, after getting a head nod, continued speaking, "We're with the Allied Resistance. We've come to get you out and back to our base." Brady didn't question it, as he was happy to get out of that cell. As Brady followed the two experienced resistance fighters, the one who had the key said into a Radio, "Command, this is liberator 1. We have the package and are moving to exfiltrate."
"Copy Liberator 1; remember we need the Package unharmed." said a voice in response to what Liberator 1 said. Liberator 1 then said, "Copy." Brady, armed with the ADK-45 assault rifle that he picked up from the dead Conscript, asked Liberator 1, "So how exactly are we getting out of here?" and Liberator 1 said, "We have a truck; outside the prison complex." Brady said, "What about the rest of the prisoners here? We can't leave them here to rot." That was when Liberator 1 turned and said, "You are our only priority. If we came across any other Allied forces, we would also bust them out. But you are the only one we have found so far. The rest of the cells were empty." Brady was speechless for the rest of the escape, and not a single alarm was raised as Brady and his escorts met up at the truck with another rescue team member. Suddenly, the Alarms went off, and Liberator 1 shouted, "Move!" They then shuffled into the Truck and drove off as Brady looked back at the place he was forced to call home for a year fade into the distance.
After a few hours of Driving, Brady was at the Resistance's headquarters, a hidden Allied base near Mount Rushmore. He got out of the truck as a man in his late 20s walked up to them with a woman, Brady recognized as Lieutenant Eva McKenna, the communications officer he was in contact with during the war. She saw Brady and ran to him to pull him into a Hug, which he returned. The man said, "Good Job on busting him out, Henry. Take your team to the pool to relax." Henry nodded and walked away with his team, allowing the man to look at Brady and say, "John Bertrand, Leader of the Allied Resistance cell in the States, we heard a lot about you, Commander Parrish." Brady nodded and said, "Thank you, and I take it you need my services?"
"Nothing seems to get past you." John said with a smile, which turned into a serious look before saying, "We're in a real bind here, Commander Parrish. With the Soviets and Japanese against us, we're fighting a guerrilla war on two fronts. But we've been holding on to what we have. We need an edge, and when Lieutenant Eva told us about your exploits before you were captured, we knew that the edge we needed was you. So I make this offer to you, will you join us in freeing the free world from the Japanese and Soviets." But before Brady could answer, a Resistance fighter ran up to them and said, "Commander, we just received word from our spy in the Empire of the Rising sun that an enemy force is on its way to the Garden." John was speechless before he said, "The Garden? But that's where we get our food. There are no soldiers there, only Civilians." John then looked at Brady and asked, "Can you help defend the Garden while we evacuate it?" Brady nodded and said, "Happy to help. What do we have in the ways of defenders?"
"A few Attack Dogs, some Peacekeepers, Multigunner IFVs, and units we call Pathfinders, they're scouts armed with Sniper Rifles," John told him. Brady nodded and said, "Alright, let's get to work." At the Garden, Brady had positioned the Multigunner IFVs in specific locations as he sent a few Pathfinders to find where the enemy would attack. John had the Civilians evacuated, and John told Brady, "We can't leave any Civilians behind, Commander Parrish. We need to evacuate all the buildings." Soon the Japanese forces were Spotted on the Road to the North, and the Defenders opened fire at the attacking troops. The Multigunner IFVs were doing their jobs taking down the Air units. Soon another person came over the radio, and the voice said, "Ah, the Allied Commander that was supposed to be in Soviet Custody. You can never trust people not fighting for the Emperor. In case you've forgotten me, I am Kenji Tenzai. I will be the one who will wipe out your pitiful resistance once and for all." But Brady told his men, "Don't be discouraged. As long as we hold this line, we can keep the Empire back so Commander Bertrand can finish the evacuation." Then John came over the radio again and said, "Commander Parrish, I just got word from one of our Pathfinders that there's a Building that hasn't been Evacuated yet. You're closer to them than I am; go and get those Civilians out, commander." Commander Parrish acknowledged John's orders and told some of his men, including a spare Multigunner IFV, to head to the Building with the Civilians so they could evacuate.
As the battle went on, Brady received an Encoded Transmission saying, "They are vulnerable if you take the right path and flank them from behind." Brady sent a Path finder down the right path to investigate it. When the Pathfinder Returned, she said, "That road leads right to the enemy base, and there are no defenses." Commander Parrish was speechless but ordered his reserves to take the path and attack from behind. When the troops he sent began to open fire at Tenzai's base, he contacted Commander Parrish again and said, "How could you have known about that path, even I didn't know about it!" After Tenzai ended his call, John contacted Brady and said, "We've almost finished, Brady, just a few more people left to evacuate."
Brady then got word that the people he sent to the building to help evacuate Civilians got there in time and saved the Civilians. John contacted him again and said, "Brady, I just got word that you were able to evacuate that building I told you about. Good job. Not only did you rescue the civilians, but some of them have decided to join the Resistance. Our strength grows daily when people like us lead the charge and help the common folk." John said, "The last of the Civilians have been evacuated. Time to pull back, Commander." Commander Brady nodded his head and ordered all his forces to retreat.
At the Resistance Base, John approached Commander Parrish and said, "Well done holding off the enemy commander. The civilians were able to set up in a new location." That was when Lieutenant Eva walked up to them and said, "Sir, our communication team just intercepted a Soviet Transmission that several Allied Vehicles were being moved to be scrapped in a Decommissioning plant near Pittsburgh." John smiled and said, "Excellent. If we can get those vehicles out of there, we can add their schematics to our Armor facilities and make more of them ourselves. Mind if we send you in with some of our infiltrators, and that way, we can also get the schematics for the Soviet vehicles and add them to our Armor facilities." Brady crossed his arms and said, "Won't that make people think we're Soviets?"
"True, but that will only be for when we need to infiltrate Certain places and maybe… help us incite a war between the two," John said as he walked away. John said, "The Lieutenant will show you to your quarters, Commander Brady. Good to have you in the resistance!" Brady looked at Lieutenant Eva and asked, "What can you tell me about him?" Lieutenant Eva began leading Brady to the Officers' barracks, and she told him, "Well, he's from a town in Pennsylvania. He's a die-hard Patriot. No criminal record and was captain of multiple teams. When he graduated High school, he joined the US Army and fought at the Battle of Brighton Beach. He was a Peacekeeper." Commander Brady was astonished. He remembered that battle; he was in charge of the defending forces against the Soviet commander, General Krukov. Commander Brady then asked Lieutenant Eva how she came to know John, and she said, "He busted several Intelligence Officers and SpecOp units out of prisons. I just happen to have been in the same prison he busted our people out first." Brady nodded and asked, "What happened to Field Marshal Bingham?" Lieutenant Eva sighed and said, "He was executed a month after the war ended, along with most of the Sub Commanders that fought alongside you. The only ones who were left are Giles and Lissette." Brady raised an Eyebrow and asked, "Why were they left alive?" Lieutenant Eva sighed before she said, "They became Collaborators." Brady was speechless. Two people he fought side by side with were now traitors.
In the Barracks, Brady asked about Tayna, and Lieutenant Eva said, "She was never captured, but she also hasn't come to us yet. We have no idea where she is." Brady sighed and said, "Okay, thank you, Eva." Lieutenant Eva smiled and gave Commander Brady a quick Kiss on the cheek before she walked away as she said, "It's really good to have you back, sir." Brady nodded his head, sat down on the bunk assigned to him, and Lieutenant Eva let him relax. The following day, Brady walks up to John as he was looking at a map of the Scrapping Yard near Pittsburgh, and Brady said to John, "Commander Brady reporting in." John looked at him and said, "Good, so I decided to forget the Soviet Schematics, just try to get those allied Vehicles for us, commander." Brady nodded his head and walked off. At the door, Brady met the leader of the Infiltrators, Max hamilton. He briefed Brady on what vehicles were at the decommissioning yard; Riptide ACVs, More Multigunner Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and at least 3 Guardian Tanks. Those vehicles could prove vital to the resistance's efforts.
At the decommissioning yard, Brady and the infiltrators made their way inside as Eva said, "Welcome to Pittsburgh, commander, or what's left of it. There's a nearby Terminal that you can use to locate the vehicles we need, and we'll send out repair boys to get them back." Brady nodded his head as he led the infiltrators to the terminal. That was when John came on and said, "Commander, we just got word that there's a defector there and wants your help. He says he can help us get more weapons, supplies, anything we need to free our home from the Empire of the rising sun and the Soviet Union and rescue him for the resistance." Nodding his head, Brady and the infiltrators reached the Terminal and got access to the system and the locations of all the allied vehicles.
Soon a familiar voice came over his comms, and the voice said, "Commander… It's been a while. I hope you understand what I have been doing since your imprisonment." The voice was Lissette Hanley, one of the collaborators. Brady told Lissette, "Traitor…" but Lissette said, "I'm sorry, Brady, but you must understand that what I did, I did for the allies." Brady got furious and shouted, "That means you would have died rather than become a Collaborator! How could you, Lissette?!" After ending the transmission, Brady and his team found the Riptide ACVs. They then dug in and held their position as the Resistance Repair boys came in and repaired them. That was when Brad received another Encoded Transmission saying, "Once you're done there, head down the left hallway and the fourth door on your right." this confused Brady. It sounded Russian this time; the last transmission was Japanese.
After the Riptide ACVs were done, Brady led the infiltrators and the repair boys under his command to the fourth doorway on his right down the left hallway. That was when he saw what was in it. Brady then contacted Eva and John, showing them what he found. That was when John said, "two of our MCVs… perfect! We can use them, dig in and protect those MCVs so you can get more troops, Commander Brady." Brady nodded and had the infiltrators dig in as the repair boys got to work. That was when Lissette said, "NO! You can't have those MCVs!" Soon allied units were attacking Brady and the Infiltrators, but others stopped as one Peacekeeper said, "You know what, I think it's time to do the right thing."
Others agreed with him and turned on their former allies, surprising Brady and the others, including Lissette. Then Javelin Troopers switched sides, then Engineers, and even attack dogs were attacking their former owners. Brady was shocked at this, and so was Lissette. Lissette then shouted into the intercom system, "Kill those traitors!" That was when the first Peacekeeper approached Brady and said, "Something had to be done, sir, and you are that spark of our defection." That made Brady smile, and soon the MCVs were ready. Brady then shouted, "Get power plants up and running! I See ore deposits that we need to mine." As the decommissioning yard battle went on, Lissette received a call from Premier Anatoly Cherdenko. Lissette nervously chuckled as she said, "Premier Cherdenko… what do I owe the honor of this call?"
"Why am I getting reports that your forces are not under your control? You have defectors to the resistance in your ranks!" Lissette panicked as she tried to think of an answer when a Peacekeeper loyal to her shouted, "THEY'VE REACHED THE GUARDIAN TANKS!" Back with Brady, he took several of the recent defectors, after rescuing them, with him to secure the guardian Tanks. After saving the Defectors, he received yet another Encoded Transmission saying, "We will soon meet Commander Brady, that I can assure you." That confused Brady even more soon; the Guardian tanks were repaired, Lissette was ordered to withdraw, and the battle was over.
At the resistance base, John congratulated Brady for getting the vehicles and the defector back safely. Eva walked up to them and said, "Commander, General, Lissette has been arrested by the Soviets." John smiled and said, "Good, one less traitor to worry about." John then walked off before Eva said to Brady, "You have to rescue her, Brady, please." Brady looked at her and said, "Are you out of your mind? She's a traitor." but Eva said, "She's also my sister!" Brady looked at her before sighing and said, "ok, I'll get her." Eva smiled and thanked Brady for that. That night, Brady led pathfinders into the City of Chicago, where the execution would occur. Eva contacted Brady and said, "Thank you again, sir. I wouldn't have asked anyone else but you. According to our source, she's being held in an old Fire Station. IT was shut down after the United States was divided between the Japanese and the Russians." Brady nodded his head, and that was when John came on and said, "Commander, it's ironic you're on an unsanctioned mission. I just got word that a rebel cell in Chicago is on the verge of being destroyed. I'm sending you the location of the rebel cell."
Brady had 5 pathfinders split off and take the enemy forces from behind as he led the remaining ones to rescue Lissette. That was when the commander of the Soviet troops in Chicago, Oleg Vodnik, contacted Commander Brady and said to him, "Ah the Allies precious commander, I heard you got out and caused both the Japanese and us some Trouble. That's because you didn't face me. But now you will face off against the mightiest tank Commander of the Soviet Union!" Brady rolled his eyes as he continued to move to rescue Lissette.
