It was a bright and sunny day, the light was shining on a tree that had beautiful green leaves. On a bright green leaf was a cocoon of a caterpillar however it was shaking and bursting out of the cocoon was a bright black butterfly with blue markings. It stood there shaking its wings adjusting to its new form. When it was ready it flapped its wings as hard as it could. It was now flying around, in circles at first. And then it took a turn and flew down to the ground, landing on a thin piece of metal, resting for now. However there was something under that metal, it was a large nose breathing in and out. The butterfly however wasn't bothered by it. But the nose was taking in the scent of the newly hatched butterfly, causing the one sniffing it to wake up. Two black eyes were staring right at the butterfly.
The small bug then felt the whole body begin to move causing it to get scared and begin to fly away from the piece of metal. The owner of the snout watched as the butterfly flew away with tired eyes.
RING
The middle school bell rang and a tired teenage heeler rose from the grass. "Time for lunch." Said Bingo, as she stretched, in front of her school grounds, as all the other teenagers walked into the building. She still had her recognizable muzzle with her now old Australian flag bandana. the paint was wearing and it still had teeth marks from Trixie. But even through all that she still wore it, Bingo scratched her healed wound on the left lower side of her stomach. It was a noticeably large scare, and there was even one on her backside. From where the wood penetrated, it used to hurt the young heeler. But now the pain was gone, she walked inside the building scratching her muzzle. She passed by her classmates, all of them giving her a blank side-eye.
The red heeler knew they were all staring at her, but she acted as if they weren't looking at her. She kept her head down and walked to the cafeteria. She made it inside and at first, there was the sound of teenagers talking about their daily lives, others were talking about sports or TV shows. But when they turned around to face the red heeler missing half of her right ear, and muzzle on her face…
………….
The whole room had gone silent, all the dogs stared at her, and she stood there looking at all of them. Bingo put her ears down and looked away, she scratched her arm and walked to the lunch line. The only thing that was able to be heard was the footsteps of the red heeler. She walked up to the lunch line that was filled up with students waiting for their school food. Then they all made way for her, waiting for Bingo to walk through. Bingo sighed and walked through the students, not making eye contact with any of the dogs. She made it up to the lunch lady who was serving food. But unlike the other dogs, she wasn't scared of her. She was a small chin dog breed with long hair, she had glasses and a thick Japanese accent. "Why, good afternoon deary," the chin dog said, already getting the red heeler's food ready; the white and gray dog grabbed a to-go box for her. "So how is your day going so far Bingo, same ol same ol," The ching dog said, closing up the box for the red heeler. Bingo took the box with tired eyes. "It's just the same old thing ma'am, I just can't wait to go home," Bingo said smelling her food, making sure a certain food wasn't in there. "Ah well just make sure you're eating enough, you are looking skinnier than usual; are you trying to become a model?" she said scratching her chin, Bingo shocked her head and gave the money to the old dog. "It's nothing to worry about Miss Ching," she said as she walked out of the room, and made her way to the hallway. "I will never get these girls' generation, why do they all want to become models..?"
Bingo walked alone in the hallway, as she made it to the staircase and headed up to the second floor. To another hallway by herself, she scratched her muzzle and walked to her right into her biology classroom. And inside the room was a small chihuahua. Her name was Jennie Corso, she was the teacher of the room. She had big eyelashes and was about half of Bingo's size. She was eating a normal-sized sandwich that looked huge in her hand. Jennie looked up to her right to see Bingo walking into the room. "Oh hey Bingo, leaving so soon?" she said, as the red heeler picked up her backpack and looked back at her teacher. "I always leave at this hour Mrs. Corso, you see me leave every day." Sage said a bit annoyed by the small chihuahua, the small dog wasn't offended she smiled at the young heeler.
"It's just a bad habit, and there's nothing wrong with trying to make a conversation." She said putting her hands on the table and resting her head on her hands. Bingo was about to leave the room, but the little chihuahua saw the white food box. Making her immediately get up and run in front of the door. "Well before you leave could you please show me what's in your to-go box?" Jennie said trying to look intimidating, Bingo sighed and tried to push her way through the small dog. Jennie stood there looking at the red heeler as she walked down the hallway. "It's not good for your health bingo, you may be a biter but there are people who still care about you"! Mrs. Corso yelled as Bingo tried to ignore her. She walked down the stairs and headed towards the exit.
The young heeler walked down the street going back to her home. "It's none of her damn business…" She said looking back at the school scowling at it. She walked quickly, still feeling angry, scratching her chin.
The red heeler walked up the hill that led to her house, she still had a tired expression on her face. "Hey Bingo," said an old raspy voice, It was Doreen waving at the young teenager, The red heeler paused and looked back at the old white dog; she didn't look any different than what she did six years ago she even wore the same straw hat, but she now had a cane to help her walk. She was one of the only dogs that still treated her with respect. "Hello, Ms. Pyrenees". Bingo said waving at her, The old dog walked up to the red heeler with her wooden cane lifting her leg in pain. "How's your day going so far deary; are those kids at school still giving you any trouble?" She asked, resting her hands on her cane, looking at the red heeler with a smile. "Well, no one threw an apple at me today so it's a start," Bingo said looking to the side, remembering her first day of middle school, when she stayed in the cafeteria it was her first and last time sitting down in there. It all started with one kid, they threw an apple at her causing a chain reaction making the majority of the teenagers throw food at her. When the teachers got involved it was too late. She was covered with meat, cheese, vegetables, and worst of all the same apple that caused it all. She was crying her eyes out feeling the betrayal of her classmates. It was that night and the only night where she almost killed herself, but she stopped herself when she had a realization. "That's good to hear Bingo, I still can't believe they make you wear that despicable mask," Dooren said shaking her head with disgust, at her muzzle. "Shaun said that next month will be my 6th year wearing it, which means I don't have to wear it anymore". Bingo said, stretching her chin as the mask cut deeper into her skin. "I still can't believe they gave you 6 more, I looked it up online and they said that biters only have to wear the muzzle for 2 years; why did they give you a longer period?" She put her hand on the red heeler's cheek.
…….
"Remember when the whole incident with my aunt happened at my house…..well when I cut the strap of my mask with a knife, And well after a few weeks of staying in the hospital the cops got involved with the case. Because of a tracker in the muzzle, and since it was off when I was in the hospital, I technically broke the main rule of the muzzle. To never take it off unless I'm eating food……..so by breaking the rules I had to wear this for 6 more years". Bingo sighed, looking down at the ground, Doreen was looking at the heeler with sympathetic eyes. "Oh deary, at least you made it through the 6 years," She said, Bingo started to tap on her to-go box. "Thank you for talking to me Ms. Pyrenees," Bingo said, keeping her head down and walking towards her house. Doreen kept her eyes on the red heeler "Poor kid." She said, stumbling back to her house.
Bingo opened the door with her keys and entered her house. It was quiet. She looked back to where Trixie had thrown Dougie's mom through the window. The medics had to drag her corpse out of the house. The red heeler walked to the living room and looked at the table, there was a small note. She picked it up and read it.
Dear Bluey and Bingo, Brandy and I are going on a date tonight, here's 40 dollar bucks so y'all can buy something good to eat for dinner
-love, dad.
Bingo crunched the paper with her hand and threw it on the ground, but she left the 40 dollars on the table in case her older sister wanted something to eat. She put her box on the table and lay down on the carpet, relaxing and looking up at the ceiling. 6 damn years have passed and for 6 damn years, her father had been with her aunt. She didn't hate her aunt like she used to when she was younger but even then she still despised that she had moved to her father's house 3 years ago. Brandy had sold her house to live with them, Bluey was happy about this, she couldn't even stop talking about it. The red heeler wanted to say something but she kept her mouth shut, not wanting to argue with her father.
Ever since Brandy found out that her father killed himself with the knife he had since Vietnam, it caused Brandy to go into a horrible state of depression. It made her visit even more often, sometimes for weeks before she moved in permanently.
Creak
Bingo heard the door open and the sound of two dogs walking in. "Looks like no one is in the house babe, cmon let's do it on the couch," said a female voice as she giggled, the sound of paws tapping on the floor. Bingo groaned as shifted on the carpet. Two dogs entered the living room, it was Bluey and Mackenzie. The border collie looked the same as he did, just taller and with slightly longer hair. His voice got deeper and he was holding blueys hand.
Bluey was now taller and linear; she looked the same with the three little hairs on the top of her hair. The only difference she had was that she was wearing a pink off-shoulder shirt exposing her left shoulder. "Okay, babe kiss me". Bluey said as she jumped on her man and gave him a long, breathless kiss; Mackenzie had to find his balance in order not to drop the blue heeler. When he did, he went close to the couch and made out with Bluey, hugging and kissing her. None of them noticed that Bingo was still on the floor covering her ears to try and ignore the excessive smoochy kissing happening on the couch. "Every fucking day…" she complained.
"Oh Mackenzie, I love you so much," Bluey said as she hugged her boyfriend, wagging her tail, the border collie had the biggest smile on his face. "Aren't you worried that your sister is gonna come in and see us like this, or worse your dad?" Mackenzie said with a worried look when he thought about the male blue heeler. "Nah my dad is usually at work at this time, and Mum is usually out at this hour."
Hearing her call Brandy her mother always caused Bingo to cringe; the red heeler pinched her ears. "And Bingo is probably with her boyfriend right now-
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"
Bingo yelled, getting up from the carpet and pointing at the two dogs on the couch. Surprising Bluey and Mackenzie since they didn't even notice her. "When did you get here Bingo!" Bluey said, hugging her boyfriend. "I was on the carpet the whole damn time hearing you kiss, And I swear to god if you say that Dougie is my boyfriend one more time I'm gonna tell Dad that Mackenzie has been sneaking in from the window every Friday night!" Bingo threatened as she held her finger at her older sister. Bluey wasn't scared by her threat but Mackenzie was shaking.
"Well I mean how is he not your boyfriend you and he has been hanging out for years, and he has always been by your side!" Bluey said getting up from the couch and teasing her sister, Bingo looked away from Bluey. "I haven't seen you hang out with him for a while, he never came last week". Bluey said lying her head on her boyfriend, Bingo was caught in a bit of an awkward situation. She looked away, tapping her foot and crossing her arms trying to find an excuse.
"Ding Dong".
The Doorbell rang alerting all the dogs in the room, Mackenzie whimpered a bit worrying it was Bandit. "Bingo go check the door while I get Mackenzie through the back". Bluey said, already thinking of an idea to hide her boyfriend. Bingo however shook her head. "Bluey, Dad, and Brandy! Are not gonna be in the house for the whole day. They are on some love date, like always". Bingo said walking out of the living room and heading towards the front door. "How romantic," Bluey said, kissing Mackenzie on the cheek, making him blush. Bingo made it to the door, grabbing the door by the handle. "I swear to god if it's the same guy asking if I want to save 200 dollars on my energy bill I'm gonna lose my sh-
But before Bingo could finish her sentence she opened the door and stopped in her tracks. Staring at a teenage cavapoo who had a bag that was covered with cartoon crocs, staring at the red heeler. The brown dog gave the red heeler a slight smile and waved at her. Bingo sighed but smiled at the cavapoo. She walked up to him, giving the deaf dog a dog, as they both wagged their tails. Bluey and Mackenzie were close to the door watching the two dogs hug, Bluey nudged Mackenzie's shoulder, raising her eyebrows with a smile.
Back with the 2 younger teenage dogs, they stopped hugging. Bingo signaled him to come into the house. Dougie entered the house, and Bingo and Dougie walked outside of the top floor where they could be in the sun, they sat down where Bluey and her used to sit when their dad made them food. Dougie grabbed two containers from the bag. He placed one in front of him and the other beside bingo. The red heeler looked at the plate with disgust, Bingo tapped on Dougie's shoulder gaining his attention.
"Are you gonna do this again"
The red heeler said in Auslan, Dougie noticed how disapproving her friend was, and he gave her a worried look. They had been close friends for 6 years, Dougie had always been by the red heeler's side for anything she ever needed. It was the least he could do since she saved him from the white heeler when he was younger. Dougie was terrified when she was gone for a month in the hospital, He had assumed she had died, and even went through a state of depression during the month, including the loss of his mother worsened it
But one day when she returned to her school with stitches around her stomach. He had thought he had seen a ghost but when she waved at him he ran up and gave her the longest hug he had given anyone. But recently there has been some conflict going on with their friendship. Something that worried Dougie very much.
"It's for your good."
Dougie said with his hands, Bingo shoved the box away from her and opened up her box, revealing what she had.
It was a simple salad, with lettuce, small tomatoes, and carrot slices, with ranch dressing covering it to give it some flavor. Dougie looked down at it in disapproval, Bingo just shocked her head and grabbed a key from the corner of the table and put it in the lock behind her head. She placed the key in the socket and twisted it, unlocking the muzzle and allowing her to eat, and be free of the horrid mask for an hour. The straps were loose and Bingo began to push on the straps getting it off her face. The straps made a wet sound as the red heeler kept on pushing it.
Bingo had her eyes closed feeling the pain of the mask, it wasn't her first time taking it off but she never got used to the pain. She groaned and whimpered, shutting her eyes as the muzzle finally got off her face, the red marks she used to have on her face had gotten worse. From years of the mask staying on her face had left a red scar of the shape of the muzzle of her. "I fucking hate this thing". Bingo said as she placed it on the side of the table, The red heeler took out her phone and started a 55-minute timer, giving her 5 minutes to put the muzzle back. She grabbed a plastic fork on the counter and began to eat her salad.
But when she took the first bite of the salad her stomach started to grumble. She put her hand on her stomach feeling the pain. So she filled up her mouth with more of the salad, not minding her manners as Dougie watched her with a worried look. She didn't stop filling her mouth with the vegetables until there was nothing left on her plate. She looked down at the empty container, still feeling her stomach rumble. She looked over to Dougie's plate, he had a container filled with chicken nuggets, a sloppy joe sandwich, and on the corner a small salad. Bingo just stared at the sloppy joe as her mouth began to drool looking at how juicy and flavorful it looked.
She shook her head regaining her discipline, she looked away from the food, trying to ignore it. She hadn't eaten meat in 6 years, and it took a toll on her body. She was tired more often, and she lost a significant amount of weight. She craved the taste of any meat, but she denied it. But Dougie has been trying to get her to eat for the past year, noticing how her health has been declining. They even fought it a week ago because Dougie was putting a burger near Bingo's mouth making her almost bite it. But she slapped it away, and she ended up cursing at him in Auslan.
What both of the dogs didn't know was that Bluey and Mackenzie were peeking from the corner of the wall being nosey. "What do you think is going on"? Mackenzie said, raising an eyebrow, are you sure they are dating? "Well yeah, I think they just had an argument and now they are trying to make up. A whole drama ark, luckily you and I have never fought for 2 years straight. She said kissing him on the top of her head, both of them giggling.
Dougie didn't want to anger Bingo like he did last time, so this time he was taking a different approach. He slowly moved the plate near the red heeler, the aroma taking over her nose. Bingo scowled at the brown cavapoo, her stomach rumbling even louder. "You can have the sloppy joe if you want Bingo". Dougie said with his hands, Bingo couldn't stop drooling, smelling the aroma, such a sweet and juicy taste. "No". Bingo responded with her hands, Dougie knew she was just about to break, which is why he brought something that had more scent to it. He opened the box, And bingo stared at it. It was barbecue ribs and it looked so good. She scratched the table with her nails, looking at the juicy and delicious-looking rib, her left eye twitching. But her vision started flashing back to when she was 9, and she saw the splattered guts of the young pitbull on the road all squished and scratched by the 18 wheels.
"Thump"
The Red heeler slapped the ribs off the counter and threw them on the wooden floor gasping for air. She looked up at the brown cavapoo with a scowl. Dougie was scared, feeling like he had gone too far again. "I-I-I'm sorry bingo I didn't want this to happen, I just wanted to help you. I just don't understand why you don't like meat, you need it"! he said with his hands, Before bingo could respond she had a realization, she had never told him what had happened in Florida six years ago, he was just trying his best to help her. She sighed and clawed her face, she stood there for a second with her eyes looking at the cloud.
When she was done bingo got off the table and surprisingly hugged the cavapoo, which was a bit of a shock for Dougie. But he was glad that she wasn't that mad at her because she could feel her squeezing him a bit hard.
"They are such a wonderful couple, having arguments and making up. Why don't they just get married". Bluey said, still looking at her sister and friend.
Bingo stopped hugging her friend and looked the cavapoo in the eyes, scowling at him, she lifted her hand to her face. "Don't ever do that again…..please Dougie, there's a reason I don't want to eat meat". Bingo said with her hand, dougie nodded quickly feeling as if he was on thin ice. Bingo got away from his face walked back inside the kitchen, and walked back with a small trash bag. She walked up to Dougie and gave the bag to him, she then pointed at the ribs that were on the floor. Dougie scowled at her but listened, getting up from the chair and picking up the meat on the ground. "You're exaggerating". He responded by waving her off, as he put the ribs in the trash bag.
When Dougie was done cleaning up the ribs, he threw the food in the trash and then finished up his meal. The 2 friends then went into the living room and decided to watch their favorite show. It was about a dog who is living in a world where superheroes are like celebrities all perfect on the big screen. But deep down they are normal people who abuse their powers. The main villain is a dog wearing a cape of his country fighting another dog who wants nothing more but to kill him. Dougie poked at Bingo's shoulder and she turned around to see what he wanted, "Subtitles". He said with his hands. Bingo smacked her head forgetting to turn on the subtitles, she grabbed the remote and tried to pause it.
It however did not pause, Bingo clicked on it multiple times, and it would not pause. She tried again, and it still wouldn't pause. The red heeler opened the latch that had the batteries, she switched them hoping that it would work. She clicked on the button again, but it still wouldnt pause, Bingo groaned and got up from the couch heading to the kitchen to look in the cabinets. She found batteries but they were not the right ones, She groaned in annoyance. Walking out of the kitchen and back into the living room, Dougie looked up at the red heeler. "We're out of batteries, want to drive to the store real quick and get some". She said with her hands, Dougie nodded and got up from the couch walking with the red heeler outside of the house. Not knowing they were still being watched by Mackenzie and Bluey, both with goofy grins. "Wanna make out on the couch again"? Bluey said.
Bingo was driving in a light orange car, resembling her fur color, Even though she was a biter, she was luckily still allowed to drive a vehicle. Dougie had the window down enjoying the air as it touched his face, they made a right turn to Hammerban. Bingo parked near the building and they both exited the vehicle. Bingo locked the car with her keys and began to walk to the store, Dougie walked beside her.
They entered the building and walked down towards the self-checkout area. Bingo walked up to a square box where batteries were hanging by the side. Bingo crouched and looked for the right set of batteries, While she was looking down, Dougie was looking around the store, a bit distracted. He then saw a coffee shop in the wall, He walked up to it, leaving the red heeler. Dougie walked up to the counter and looked up, he wasn't a fan of coffee he was hoping they had chocolate. He looked up at the menu, looking for any sugary options. When he found what he wanted he went up to the cashier, waved at the cashier, and took out his phone. Writing on his phone what he wanted, The brown labrador read it, and nodded, getting the two drinks ready for the cavapoo. He took out the cash from his wallet and a tip, placing the money on the counter.
And walked to the right side waiting, He took out his phone and saw he had an unread message. He opened his messenger, it was a message from his dad.
"Hey son, I'm gonna head home late. The key is in the mailbox. Don't stay too long with your girlfriend. Lol, That means laugh out loud right?
Dougie didn't even respond, he just scowled at his phone, hating the idea of his father calling Bingo his girlfriend. But it's not like he hasn't thought about it before, But it was for a second. The idea was always thrown out, because of him being deaf. He lowered his head, sighing, why would anyone wanna date a dog who can't hear, a dog who can't speak, It was better if they just stayed friends.
"Tap"
He felt someone tapping on his shoulder and quickly assumed who it was, making him turn red and hiding his phone. He turned around to see Bingo looking at him with a raised eyebrow. You alright". She said with her hands, Dougie bit his lip and nodded his head quickly. "It was my dad, he said he was gonna be late tonight". Dougie replied with his hands, As the blush left his face feeling as if he was in the clear. "Sweet means you can stay longer at my house, what are you buying". Bingo said with her hands, smiling at the cavapoo. "Alright sir, here's your chocolate chowder fudge drink with sprinkles, and a coffee with extra cream for your…….friend". The Brown labrador stopped when he saw Bingo with the muzzle, he just awkwardly pushed the drinks to the counter not wanting to get near, He walked back with his hands up, not breaking eye contact. Bingo's ears dropped in annoyance, she then looked down at the drinks. Dougie grabbed them both he read the paper and gave the coffee to his friend. Bingo read it, she was a fan of coffee, and she's been feeling tired lately, most likely due to the fact she hasn't eaten a proper meal in years. She grabbed a straw from the counter put it in her drink, And placed the straw through the metal part of her muzzle. "Thank you, Dougie, I got the batteries so we can go back to my house". The red heeler said with her hands. The cavapoo nodded as he sipped his chocolate-flavored drink, and they both walked to the checkout.
However, a monochrome dog was wearing a black hoodie and talking to a pink-colored dog with light brown patches. She had a good amount of brown hair on the side of her head, with a bit of white hair strands sticking out. She had a pink nose, and a huge smile on her face while she talked to the dog with a black hoodie. She was the cashier wearing a worker apron "Have you been eating enough, Shaun, don't starve yourself for working too hard". She said, tapping him on the chest, Shaun looked at her with an emotionless look. "I mean I have been eating a little more, we're on a small break since there hasn't been much work". He responded The black and white shepherd had grown more white hair due to his age, he even started to grow a small beard, He turned to his left and saw Bingo surprising him. "Oh hey kid, my bad are you waiting on me, I was just talking to Sophia". He said pointing at her, the pink-nosed dog waved at the 2. "I'll talk to ya later mate, I don't want to keep them waiting". Shaun said, grabbing his groceries and waving at his friend, as he left. "It was nice seeing you again, Shaun". Bingo said to herself.
The red heeler walked up to Sophia giving her the batteries while sipping her coffee. Aren't you a little young to be hanging out with an old man like Shaun? Sophie said, smiling at the red heeler as she scanned the item. Bingo looked at her with a raised eyebrow, she stopped sipping her drink. "I don't hang out with him….I don't think he even considers me as a friend. Are you his friend"? She asked the colorful dog, As she took out 3 dollars from her pocket giving it to Sophie, she placed it in the cash register and gave the red heeler her batteries. "Well he and I have been friends for over a year now, we met here for the first time, and talked for a bit. Which turned into a bigger conversation". She said putting her hand on her chin and resting on the counter looking at the 2 younger dogs. "How long have you known him"? She asked the red heeler, Bingo looked down for a second. "10 years to be honest with you". She said as she walked away from the light pink dog, Dougie waved at Sophia, as he walked towards his friend.
"So you're the biter girl". Sophie said
Bingo was driving up the hill back to her home, The sun was setting as a light orange filled the horizon. Dougie looked at it as the car parked. The 2 got out of the car and walked to the door, Bingo took out her keys and opened the door holding it open for Dougie. The two walked in, the brown cavapoo was still sipping from his beverage. Bingo finished hers and threw it in the trash, they both walked into the living room, but they were a bit surprised to see Bluey and Mackenzie on the couch watching the show, they were interested yet disgusted. "Oh hey bluey, hey Mackenzie, you like the show"? Bingo said as she grabbed the remote took out the old batteries and placed them in the new ones she bought from the store. "Why are you and Dougie watching this, It's so wrong"! Bluey said as she was disgusted seeing a super dog with electric powers beating a shih tzu to death, and tearing its skin from its face, causing Bluey to feel a tingly sensation in her back. "Well Dougie recommended it to me, I think it's cool". Bingo said as she paused the episode and exited the show. "You know what since we're all here, why don't we watch a movie and order some food, with the money Dad left us". Bingo said as she sat between the blue heeler and border collie. "Hey, Dougie what movie do you want to watch?" Bingo said with her hands.
"Anything you guys want". Dougie replied with his hands, as he sat next to her older sister. Bingo then looked around on her TV trying to see what caught her eye. "Hey, what about that one with the big ape and dinosaur". Mackenzie pointed, Bingo landed on it and read to see what it was about. "Looks interesting", Bingo said as she clicked on it, And put on subtitles for Dougie Bluey grabbed the money on the table and began to look at her phone to see what she could get for all of them. "Do you guys want pizza or Chinese food?". Bluey said to all of them.
After they decided on what they wanted to order, bluey called the pizza place and ordered 2 pizzas one was pepperoni and the other was meatlovers. As they waited for the food, the 4 dogs were watching the movie, seeing a giant gorilla holding a baby orange gorilla by its leg and throwing it around like a mallet and beating larger gorillas. "I feel like there were other movies we missed that would explain a lot of what's going on". Mackenzie said scratching his head, However, bingo and Dougie were very interested in the movie.
"Ding Dong"
The doorbell rang, They all assumed that the pizza was there. Bingo got up and quickly ran to the kitchen to get plastic cups and a 2-liter Coke so that they could all share. "Hey Mackenzie, could you go get the food for us?". Bluey said, Mackenzie nodded and got up from the couch walking to the front door. He unlocked it and expected to see a delivery dog holding their food. But no, it was a middle-aged blue heeler with a mullet staring down at the young border collie.
………..
"Hello mr heeler"
Mackenzie said with a worried smile, Bandit didn't approve of him being with his daughter. He still hasn't forgiven him for the alcohol incident. "Mackenzie, What are you doing in my house". He said walking up to the border collie and staring down at him. "U-u-u-uh I was invited here by your daughter". He stuttered, tucking his tail between his legs, that's when he stopped, feeling someone pulling him back it was brandy, she looked different, now having longer hair, and white strains on her fur. She looked more like her mother. "Bandit cmon don't be like that to him, Why did you even knock on the door we have the key". Brandy said, smiling and waving at the border collie, saving him from the old blue heeler. "I was at least expecting my daughters to open the door, not him". Bandit said scowling at him, Mackenzie smiled again awkwardly. " Bandit, don't get angry, today is a good day, because you made it a good day babe". She said holding the blue heeler's chin, making him smile, as they both closed in for a kiss. It was a long kiss making the situation for Mackenzie more awkward than it had to be. He scratched his neck, he was about to turn around and go back inside until Bandit grabbed him by the back of his neck, not breaking his kiss with brandy.
Inside the house Bingo was filling the cups up with soda, still keeping her eyes on the movie, Bluey however was starting to feel hungry wondering where Mackenzie was with the food. That was when Bandit and Brandy walked into the room. "Care to explain this bluey". Bandit said raising Mackenzie by the back of his neck. "He caught me". Mackenzie said looking down in defeat, Bluey opened her eyes in shock. "Oh hey Dad, um well I invited him so we could all watch a movie together. And I mean Bingo invited her friend so why couldn't I". Bluey said trying to her father to find an excuse. "Oh hey, Dougie". Bandit said waving his other hand at the brown cavapoo, Dougie waved back and smiled at the blue heeler. "You're grounded by the way for 3 weeks". Bandit said, staring down at his daughter letting go of Mackenzie. Bluey crossed her arms and scuffed.
"How has your day been Bingo?". Brandy said to the red heeler, Bingo looked at her aunt, with a tired expression. "Hi Aunt Brandy, It's been good, nothing interesting". Bingo said as she poured the last cup of soda, Brandy could feel the hate the heeler had for her, she'd been trying for years to get on Bingo's good side, but everything she had tried had failed. "Well I got news for you guys, your aunt Brandy will no longer be your aunt Brandy". Bandit said, as he paused, holding Brandy by her side and his other hand in his back, he waited to see if they knew what he was talking about. The teenagers paused trying to guess what the old blue heeler meant. And that was when it hit bluey, Her eyes glowed up and her pupils expanded as a smile formed on her face.
Bandit moved his hand to show what he was holding. It was a small dark blue box, Brandy helped Bandit to open it. It was a large diamond ring that was glimmering with the indoor light. "That's right, kids we are getting married"! Bandit said bringing Brandy even closer to him as they both wagged their tails from happiness. Bluey squealed from joy, and Mackenzie and Dougie were clapping their hands. "Bingo are you excited"! Dougie said with his hands, Bingo however had her eyes wide open staring at Bandit and Brandy still pouring the now full cup of soda that was spilling on the table. "You okay?"Dougie asked with his hands.
