A/N This story began as a what if? posed by a reviewer. What if Xander could see the demon in a vampire, but thought everyone could see it? That evolved into a Xander that is a Grimm in a Buffy/Grimm fusion. I had a thought on how I could incorporate that basic premise, Xander seeing the demon in vampires and assuming everyone saw it to this story, via a wish. Not the wish from the Buffy episode and there's a way that I can work it in. Here's the backstory on the other au, it's also a Grimm/Buffy fusion. It's fall of their Junior year, instead of Spring of their Senior year. Faith came to town a year early because Kakistos came after her sooner then in canon and Buffy is dating Angel. They don't know that Kendra exists yet and Xander and Cordelia haven't begun dating or making out in broom closets yet. Everyone, including Faith, thinks she's a Slayer. Until she kills someone everyone else thinks is human. With me so far? This is where the Xander of this main story temporarily ends up in the other reality, wanting answers. Wesley is here also because in this reality Giles was fired for a different reason.

"Buffy, calm down." Giles said. "I don't believe Faith when she says you killed that man, but I thought it was better to go along with her because she's obviously unstable. She tried to tell me it was some kind of demon, if that was true, you would have seen it as well. She is out of control, but I'm unsure how to deal with this. If I was still a part of the Council I'd be required to report it, but it's possible we may be able to help her."

"How? If she's crazy and killing people, how are we going to help her?" Buffy asked, calming down because Giles believed her and she wasn't in trouble.

"Perhaps Angel can help?"

"I'll ask him, he may have some ideas." Buffy agreed, relieved to have some way of trying to manage this horrifying situation.

Neither of them realized someone overhead them, Wesley Wyndham-Price, the Watcher who'd replaced Giles for allowing Buffy to date Angel, a vampire. Unfortunately he'd had no success himself in making her stop in the two weeks he'd been in Sunnydale and frankly he didn't understand Mr. Giles' willingness to allow her to date the vile creature or the supposedly intelligent Ms. Rosenberg encouraging it. The only one who objected was Xander Harris and he was dismissed as a jealous boy by the others. Feeling the weight of his duty, Wesley went to call the Council and arrange for Ms. Lahaine to be sanctioned. She'd obviously become corrupted.

Angel did have an idea of how to help Faith. "She needs a wake up call, Buffy, she's stealing and now killing and acting like none of it matters. My place has those shackles the vampires that had it before me attached to the wall. We catch her and we chain her up. It'll get her attention and once we have it, we see if there's anything worth salvaging in her."

Buffy nodded, it sounded like a good plan to her, if anyone could get through to Faith on the burden of what killing a human did to you, it was Angel, Buffy was sure of it. So Angel went after Faith and knocked her out with a baseball bat, took her to his place, chained her up and waited for her to wake up.

"You know, you remind me of Angelus." Angel told her when she woke up. "Seeking the next thrill. And now that thrill is killing. Did you enjoy it, Faith? Seeing the light go out of his eyes, listening to him gasp for breath? Have you killed before, Faith? Do you want that thrill again?"

"Look, I shouldn't have blamed, B, but I panicked, okay? I thought he was a demon, he sure didn't look human to me."

"But he did to Buffy, so obviously he was human. The way you're acting, I'm afraid you're going to keep going, killing other people. Seeking more thrills."

"That's not what I was doing! I didn't kill him for some cheap thrill, I killed him because I thought he was a demon!"

"Do you realize how crazy you sound, Faith? You can't pretend he was a demon just to get out of this."

"I'm not pretending! Why won't you listen to me?!"

"Faith." Buffy said gently. "We're trying to help you. If you didn't kill him for some thrill, but killed him because you were seeing things, we can get you help, a doctor,"

"Oh, like any of you will help me! Giles barely knows I'm alive, too busy taking care of you and Red hates me because X drooled at me. He's probably the only one who's even okay with me being here and that's just 'cause he thinks I'm hot. I wish there was one person in this damn town that actually gave a damn about me and wanted to help me for real!"

"Wish granted!" A growly voice said and a flash of light left all three blinking spots from their eyes. Once they cleared they saw Xander Harris standing in front of them. A Xander wearing black steel toe boots, black jeans and a dark blue t-shirt. With a shoulder holster with the hilt of a knife sticking out of it.

"What the Hell? Why is my little sis chained to a wall?!"
