She knows love and knows that she won't settle for anything less than sparks. Lucas Bouchard just moved to town and is raising his daughter alone. After his wife died, he hasn't thought about dating. Jack thought he had it all; a pro-baseball career, money, and charitable work that he dearly loved. That is until a near career ending injury forced him to return to the minor leagues. Never in a million years would he ever have thought that a demotion of sorts could offer such profound possibilities. Now, if he can only talk Elizabeth into giving him a chance!

Jack Thornton moves to Hamilton just before he begins his senior year in high school in this modern day story. His father, Tom, begins work for a shipping tycoon, William Thatcher. Jack meets Elizabeth before school starts. Their first meeting didn't go well. Will this drive them apart or draw them together?

Elizabeth follows Charles back to Hamilton after he proposes to her in the schoolhouse. Charles and Jack think she has accepted Charles' proposal of marriage. Is this all a misunderstanding? Can Jack and Elizabeth find their way back to each other after her indecisiveness? This story is set in the time frame of the show. However, the storyline differs from it.

Its the spring break before her senior year in college and Elizabeth is ready to get her life planned, hoping that includes a boyfriend too. So she heads to the beach with her best friend Rosie. Lucas and his friend Lee are on spring break too. Let's see what happens.
