It was early morning, around six in the morning, as Emily got up in her Captain Kanet jammies but had made herself coffee in her I Love Earth mug putting on MeTv Toobs so she could watch Captain Kanet just lime she'd been a lil kit smiling a lil as teaching Environemtal Studies was hard sometines being the Queen of Terra or it's Guardian was hard at university so Caotain Kanet was a comfort for her including singing the theme like when she'd been lil which would bother Shocket making her softly giggle at the memory wondering what the Brute Force were up to as she'd been texting them but no repky making her feel a lil lonely which she didn't want to admit or worry anybody.
After watching Captain Planet, sheknew she should get ready to teach but her heart wasn't in it today getting bacj into bed wrapping the green blanket aroubd her which was comforting like naps only she'd been thinking aboht Indigo. She'd been the half-symbiote female raccoon's IF growing up, who loved to play with her and have adventures with her but she came when Emily needed her and right now, in Emily's mind, Indigo sensed her Emmy needed her as shefelt lonely being at university appearing beside her in bed wrapping her light-blue furred arms aroubd Emily in a hub. "Don't worry Emmy, I'm here and we can have fun like always." she whispered seeing her smile in sleep only after waking up, Emily was surprised seeing her giving her a hug.
"It's good you're here, but don't you wanna find another kit to play with." Emily said seeing her shake her furry head."Have you been talking to Nebula again, did she make you see that brain doctor." I indigo said to her making Emily sigh. While Rocket was okay with Indigo being aroubd Emily despite her being okder, Nebula wasn't and tried to get the IF to leave Emily and befriend another kit who might need her however Indigo had went into hidibg in Emmy's mibd rent free but she and Emily hubg out in thedream world when Emily was asleep.
"Nope I haven't but daddy thinks you're awesome." Emily told her yawning making the light-blue furred and rainbow tailed IF get it but would help her put to cope with the change she was going through knowing it was Friday meaning Shabbat making Emily sense what was on I digo's mind. "Maybe you can go teeny tiny so Nebula doesn't know you're back." Emily suggested seeing her smile.
"Emmy you're agenius and I can hide in your fur or yohr hair and Nebula will never know." she tokd her making Emily giggle, it felt good to have I digo back in her life getting ready even though she'd ditched teaching today unaware the dean had called Rocket to ask if Emily was okay.
"Wait the dean said to you Emily didn't show up to teach her classes today. She's coming for Shabbat so wecan ask her ourselves and bet a certain IF returned and she's having fun." Rocket heard Nebula ask him making him frown.
"Indigo wouldn't tell Emmy to do that, maybe Emmy just needed a mental health day which is a thing as teaching can be stressful." he told her seeing their kits with their IFs which hecould see and hear but Nebula couldn't asshe never had one whenshe was little wishing Nebula would go easy on Indigo as she mase Emily happy.
"Emmy's here, come on gugs let's go to the table." Rocket told them seeing Emily happy seeing her niece and nephews but their IFs surprising Elroy, Herbie, Luna and Spytnik making Indigo grin from her hiding place in Emily's purpke hair excited there were IFs to make friends with seeing Emily nod. "I'll introduce you later." she whispered making Rocket smile.
"So Indy's back after all, where is she, isshe invisible because of Nebula." he said. "No she shrank to bugsize and hidihg in my hair soNebula can't find her as she's afraid of her." Emily told hin astounding the kits their aunt still had her IF wanting to meet her or him making Emily grin saying later or when she could watch them making them excited telling her about theirs seeing Nebula there giving them a look which Emily got what she meant as they were havibgShabbat dinner, only Rocket noticed it was too quiet sensibg Nebula had killed the mood seeibg I digo wink turning on the Zube majing the kits happy as Ibdigi snuck back into Emily's hair on the top of herfurry head, it was snuggly there.
"Shabbat is supposed to be fun and we get loose Nebula." Emily told her majing the kits agreeing havibg a dance party and Emily just watching. She didn't want to draw attention to herself feeling Ibdigi squeeze her paw gently which helped but after dinner and helping put the kits to bed, Emily was getting ready to leave making Rocket sighing as he knew Emily returned to her apartment at the university's until he realised Indigo was back so she wasn't alone which relieved him.
"Take good care of my furry lil inkblot." he told Indigo seeingher wink from her hiding place as Emily hugged hin before leaving closing the front doir gently hoping she'd be okay. "I'm her IF, it's my job to take care of Emmy." she mumbled softly making Emily wonder, if everything's okay.
"Yep Emmy I'm omay just thinking." Indigo told her as they returned to her apartment on the university campus seeing Emily getting into her Captain Planet pyjamas making her and Indigo hot cocoa to relax them for sleeping plus they had their early morning tradition of Captain Planet seeing Emily sit on the couch beside Indigo who was her normal height again.
"Tonight was fun, Indy even though Nebula doesn't get you." Emily mumbled to her.
"It's okay Emmy, at least daddy gets us, he'll make Nebula see sooner or later." Indigo told her. "You have a pount Indy as my cousins have an IF they share." Emily responded sipping her mug of cocoa which was helping her get sleepy relieving Indigo as beingher IF, it was her job to take care of Emily
