"If you don't mind, I want some silence now," I said.

"Sure," he said, "Anyone would need a break after talking so much!"

I was not going to react to any of his stupid comments!

I wasn't going to give him any further reason to make fun of me!

I had made enough of a fool of myself!

But why did he come after me?

"What happened to your meetings?" I asked.

"I said I had an emergency," he said.

Now I was feeling bad all of a sudden.

Had I overreacted? I wanted him to spend time with me, but I didn't want him to leave his work for me!

"You didn't have to do that..." I said.

"You should have thought about it before dumping me," he said.

Should I apologize?

No!

I wasn't going to apologize to him!

"It must have been such a slap to your ego, right? Is this the first time someone dumped you?" I asked.

"Yeah!" He said, "That's why I dropped all those fucking meetings and ran after you. It'd be really bad for my reputation if word goes out that I got dumped, you know?"

"Poor you," I said, "But I'm sure you will find someone else."

"Naah! Where else am I going to find such an amazing trophy wife?" He said.

I rolled my eyes.

I had given him an opportunity to make fun of me for the rest of my life!

Rest of my life? Didn't I call off the engagement?

Well... I guess I overreacted?

"Well... I could marry Tanya... But as you said, she is not from the 'rich elite' family..." he said.

He shouldn't have brought up her name!

"You complimented how cool her haircut looked!" I said, "You never even notice mine!"

"What?" He said.

"You said... Oh my God! This haircut looks so cool, Tan!" I said.

"What? She had very long hair and now it was short pink and orange hair... and I thought it looked kind of cool..." He said.

"You even remember the exact hair color!" I shook my head, "I hate you!"

"C'mon now..." he chuckled.

"What was my previous hair color?" I asked.

"Previous as in? Did you change your hair color recently?" He shifted in his chair.

"Yes... I went to the salon yesterday, remember?" I said.

"Hmmm..." He said as he stared at my hair for some time.

He gotta be kidding me!

"Brown?" He said.

"Are you kidding me right now?" I said as I shook my head, "I hate you."
