Chapter 1: Rose Quartz

"For god's sake I've already told you, I don't know who the Hell this Goat Joe guy is!" I've been on the run from these guys for at least a week. About the same amount of time I've been able to teleport. I have no idea what's going on, but they keep asking me about this guy who apparently killed their boss. I don't want anything to do with it.

Life's been downhill since I saw that thing. It looked like how I'd imagine a demon, dark red with rough skin and horns. It started running at me, gnashing its teen and I knew I'd be dead soon. I wished I was away from that thing. I squeezed my eyes shut and when I opened them I was on the other side of the street. It ran at me again but a few guys with blades showed up and killed it. I thought they saved me but then they turned and came at me. So I ran.

For a few days it was close calls, the city provided me with natural cover at day, but at night the same was true for them. Also, at night is when the curses come out. At least that's what those guys keep screaming at me. Always threatening to lead curses to me if I don't come out. They never do though, they may be just as scared of them as I am.

Today I've decided to go to the top of the tallest building I can find. If I have any luck they won't find me. The air is thin up here, or maybe that's just exhaustion. Of course I shouldn't have trusted my gut, as the two guys showed up on the roof. They both have their swords brandished and look pissed. One steps forward, "Last chance kid, nowhere to run now. Where are Satoru Gojo's and the Jujutsu High located?"

I laugh incredulously, "I don't know who that is or what Jujutsu High is! What makes you think I do!? I'm just trying to live, man. I just got kicked out of my parents house and I keep seeing those freaky scary curse things and you two are chasing me with swords!"

The bigger one laughs, "Well if you don't know, we'll just kill ya for fun." They charge toward me and I back up. My two options are jump and die quickly, or let them slice me to death. I choke back a sob and fall backwards off the building…

"Hey…What're you doin falling? Can't you just teleport away?" The rushing wind seems to die down and I feel as though I'm suspended in the air. I open my eyes and am face to face with some guy. We're both upside down, and really are suspended in the air. My breath quickens and I begin to panic. How the hell is this even possible? The blindfolded guy continues, "Well? Why don't you teleport away? Why commit suicide instead?"

I manage to say, "I…I can't teleport anymore. It's like I can only do it a certain amount of time a day."

The man leans in closer to me and hums thoughtfully, "Yeah, you're all out of cursed energy. Don't worry, I'll save you." He grabs my shoulder and suddenly we're on the roof again. I fall to my knees and gag, fighting my urge to vomit. The blindfolded guy has a smug smirk on his lips as he says, "Hey guys! Heard you were lookin' for me!"

The one who threatened me before stutters, "S-Satoru Gojo! I've been ordered to kill you on behalf of Suguru Geto, as revenge for his death!"
Gojo frowns, "Jeez, even in death he's cursing me. Y'know, he was my best friend once. And although I was going to kill him, I wasn't the one to. That would be Yuta Okkotsu. Something tells me you two aren't high ranks in the hierarchy that Geto put together. Not only do neither of you have any cursed techniques, but you weren't even sent after me. You were sent after this poor kid." One of the men slices at Gojo, but the sword doesn't make contact with him. It stops just short. Gojo yawns, "I can't stand people who take from youth, it makes my blood boil." I don't see him move, but the man who swung at him is flung into the nearest wall. He doesn't get up. Gojo doesn't seem fazed. He crouches down, clearly lost in thought, "So this means even with Geto dead there's someone leading the whole shebang. How annoying." He stands and flicks the second man in the forehead. The man falls to the ground, unconscious.

Gojo turns to me, "So, kid, how would you like to come train at Jujutsu High!"
