Well here we go, Finale of Episode 2 enjoy it as the secret of Muffet's murder is revealed.

Room 207's Secret
Mephiles was hopefully close to getting some answers as he follows Belle up to the floor where room Muffet was using was on. They walk down the hallway towards the room.
"Listen Mephiles." Belle said a bit uneasy as the two briefly stop "I assume you'll be filing some kind of an official report or something, which is fine, it's just that, I was wondering, if…I need to be in it? Do you have to mention my name? I mean it's-it's not like Adam would ever see your report, it's just…Well, you never know."
"Don't worry about it. The less I have to write down, the better." Mephiles said to her with a smile.
"Thanks, I appreciate it." Belle said to him smiling "Well here we are, which one was it?"
Mephiles goes to room 204 and opens it and looks around, it was normal motel room and nothing was out of the ordinary.
"Find what you're looking for?" Belle asked him.
"I wasn't expecting much in here." Mephiles said to her.
"But…isn't this why you're here? Why you have the key?" Belle asked him confused.
"No, the key was just to be sure I found the right hotel." Mephiles explained to her "This isn't the room Muffet was using."
"Oh." Belle said and steps aside allowing Mephiles to come back into the hallway "So are we done now?"
"No, the room they met in was 207" Mephiles said and goes down to the end of the hall which was room 207 and tries to open it but it was locked. He asked Belle "You have keys to these rooms?"
"I thought you had a key." Belle said to him.
"Not to this one." Mephiles told her.
"Hold on, Mephiles, I can't just let you go into any room you want." Belle said walking up to him. "Seriously, what if someone found out? I could get into a lot of trouble."
"Please." Mephiles said to her.
"Fine." Belle said with a sigh she then pulls out her master key and tries to use it to unlock the door but it won't turn "Well that's weird. This key is supposed to open every room in the building. But it's not working."
"Belle?" A familiar voice called out and Mephiles and Belle both knew who's voice it was.
"Chaos dammit" Mephiles groaned shaking his head as he and Belle look to see a shocked looking Adam standing their.
"Adam." Belle said in surprise.
"Mephiles?" Adam said in shock. "How could you do this to me?"
"No, sweetie, no, wait a minute!" Belle said to Adam trying to stop him jumping to conclusions.
"How could you do this? We've been together through everything! I took care of you! I lov…" Adam said as he walks to them.
"It's not what you think! Please!" Belle said to him.
"You're cheating on me! With him?!" Beast said getting angry.
"No! No, Adam. I promise! I'm not." Belle said to him as they were close to each other. "I'm helping him! That's all!"
"I'll bet!" Adam said glaring at Mephiles as tusk like fangs appear in his mouth and horns on his head and both Mephiles and Belle knew what that meant. See while the curse was lifted at the end of the story it wasn't fully, in moments of anger Adam was able to turn back into the Beast form. "I'm sure you help each other just great! I know what this place is! I know what goes on here!"
"No! That's not what I meant!" Belle told him
"This is a murder investigation." Mephiles said trying to help calm Adam down "She's helping me…"
"Stop lying to me!" Adam said clutching his head and glares at Mephiles as his body gets some brown fur and his hands become claws "What is wrong with you? She's my wife!"
"Adam, listen to me, there's nothing going on!" Belle told him. "I'm not.."
Adam shoves past him and grabs Mephiles by the neck and holds him who says "Hey!"
"Demon!" Adam yells out. "I guess I finally see you for who you are!
"Stop! Stop it!" Belle said to Adam trying to calm him down.
"You told me you hadn't seen her! You damn liar!" Adam said glaring at him "You've been sleeping with her this whole time!"
"We don't have to do this. Just calm down and…" Mephiles said not wanting to fight Adam.
"Adam!" Belle said sternly. Adam lets down Mephiles and backs off abit, he was semi-transformed into his Beast form. He then in anger goes to punch Mephiles who ducks to avoid it. Belle goes up to Adam and asked angry "What the heck do you think you're doing?!" Adam blanks her and walks to Mephiles who is ready to defend himself "You aren't even listening to me!"
Adam goes to attack Mephiles again but the hedgehog grabs the arm and both grab each other's necks and struggles Mephiles semi-transforming himself "She's my wife, Mephiles!" Adam said to him.
"I told you!" Belle said to him. Mephiles then manages to throw Adam into the wall by the radiator with enough force to crack the wall. He then goes to pick Adam back up again. "Stop!" The two struggle again but Mephiles manages to throw Adam into the glass window paining on the left wall breaking it "Adam!"
Belle goes to Mephiles and said "Leave him be! This is my fault!" Adam seeing this after getting up and recovering grows in anger and reaches into the cracked wall and pulls out a long pipe "Adam, no! You don't winderstand!"
Adam ignores and uses the pipe as a weapon hitting Mephiles into a wall with it and uses it to pin him to the wall. Mephiles struggles but gets one of his hands free and uses the claws on his hand to stab Adam in the eyes to get him to back off. He then tackles the blinded Adam to the ground and then punches him in the face. Adam held up his free hand in a bit of surrender
"Mephiles no! Don't hurt him!" Belle begs to him.
Mephiles had some anger but he did his best to calm his urges to hit him again and knows Adam has had enough and just calmed down, Adam however wasn't done as he sees a bottle on the floor and grabs it and uses it to smash Mephiles in the head and knock him off. Belle gasps and checks on Adam.
Mephiles recovers and looks at the two as Adam slowly gets up and glaring at Mephiles said "You ruined everything! She's my god damn wife!"
Mephiles in anger but knows it has to stop tacks Adam in to the 207 door breaking it down and Adam lay on the ground. Mephiles then takes some breaths to calm down and turn back to normal as Adam begins to get up. Mephiles eyes wide as he sees in the room a trail of blood in the room leading to the bed and goes to it.
"Geez Mephiles" Adam said surprised at how much of a fight he put up and also calming down as he stands.
"What have you done?!" Belle told Adam annoyed.
Adam then looks into the room and eyes widen in shock, he wipes his blooded eyes to make sure he was seeing it and it was as he asked "What…What is this? Mephiles…"
"Look what you did to the door!" Belle said angry and the only one unaware of what it is in the room that has Mephiles and Adam shocked. "You can't just act like this whenever y…"
"Stand back. You…you don't want to see this." Adam told Belle.
And he had good reason to warn Belle, as what the two found was a bed covered in blood, and flower petals, while Adam is unaware of the reason for this, Mephiles knew, this was the crime scene of where Muffet met her end.
"Well, we got the door open…" Mephiles said solemnly.
Belle walks in and gasps upon seeing the bed and covers her face as she looks away "Oh my gosh!"
"Don't touch anything." Mephiles said to Belle and Adam.
"Is this…? Is this…?" Belle tried to say nervous.
"Muffet met her client here, 'Mr. Smith,' whoever he is." Mephiles just told them both.
"And then…" Belle said.
"Must have happened right here." Mephiles said sadly.
"Geez." Adam said in shock now realizing Mephiles was telling the truth about the case.
"Last night?" Belle asked Mephiles
"Yeah." Mephiles said nodding
"I was on shift last night!" Belle said in shock.
"On 'shift?'" Adam said to that in shock. "Belle, what exactly…uh?"
"I'm not a prosetute you idiot. I work the front desk!" Belle said to him annoyed
"I-So that's…" Adam said getting it now.
"Yeah!" Belle said nodding
"Still…This is no place for someone like you. I mean look…" Adam told her motioning to the bed.
"Do you remember who rented this room last night?" Mephiles asked Belle.
"I don't think anyone did, not last night." Belle said trying to think "Maybe they have it long term? I don't know! How am I supposed to know? It just seemed like a totally normal night. How is that even possible? There's so much blood…"
Mephiles knew it was time to set up a crime scene and said to Adam and Belle "Go lock the front door. Keep people out of the hallway." He looks at Adam "I need you to be sure no one comes in here. This is a crime scene. Okay?"
"But…" Adam said to protest
"Just do what he says." Belle said to her husband looking at him "I'll explain later…okay?" Adam nods and walks out into the hallway. She then looks to Mephiles and asked "Mephiles, what kind of a person could do something like this?"
"That's exactly what I'm about to try and find out." Mephiles said firmly. He looks at the clock that was also a cassette player and asked Belle "Do all the rooms have these same clocks, with the built-in cassette player?"
"I think so, yes." Belle said thinking on it.
Mephiles checks the bed "It looks like she was lying down when she was killed. Flowers were already here."
"How do you know that?" Belle asked him
"Blood pattern." Mephiles told her and added "Also I'd say the body was dragged off the foot of the bed, there." He points to the foot of the bed.
"The body? Geez. You could say she. Poor girl, I just can't imagine…" Belle said to that.
Mephiles looks at a table near the window and sees a book on it he goes and opens it to show a story about Blaze the Cat in her realm of the Fictions original home. In the book Blaze was wearing a royal purple dress.
"What is that?" Belle asked him.
"It's a book about Blaze the Cat, or rather the mundy version of her anyway." Mephiles said, while there are facts similar the mundy version of Blaze is different in some story elements then Blaze herself. Mephiles turn the page to show Blaze holding a Chao fruit in the book
"The whole book is about her?" Belle asked.
"Yeah." Mephiles said nodding. He turns the page again to show Blaze frozen in an area in a glass coffin lying like she was sleeping or dead and flowers surround the area.
"Why is she in a glass coffin?" Belle asked concerned.
"This is the part where she is in a deep freeze sleep, but they think she is no longer living due to being frozen." Mephiles said sighing. "Hm."
"What's it mean, why mark the page where she's sleeping?" Belle asked
"I think he made up the bed to match the coffin in the picture." Mephiles said connecting the evidence "Flowers, too. He'd have Muffet lie down just like this."
"You mean just before…." Belle said nervous.
"In the story, that's when someone comes to kiss her. That's our 'Mr. Smith.'" Mephiles said in a bit of anger.
"This is creepy." Belle admits to him "The coffin, and the weird fixation on Blaze. What the heck is wrong with this guy?"
Mephiles sees on the desk a cigarette and picks it up and smells it and said "It's a Solaris brand."
"I thought you were the only one who smoked that lousy brand." Belle admits.
"Apperently not." Mephiles said just as surprised. He sees a bottle next to the ashtray and said "He brought wine…."
"Classy" Belle said.
Mephiles also on the desk tape a cassette tape labelled 'For my arrival' he takes it to the cassette player clock and puts it in and plays it and soft music plays with bird chirping comes from it.
"Mephiles, this, I think I heard this music." Belle said remembering "Last night, it was playing pretty loudly for a while, then stopped in the middle. I didn't think twice about it at the time, I mean, you hear all kinds of things around here and I guess I've already gotten used to blocking them out."
"Could have covered up the sound of the murder." Mephiles guessed thinking. He then moves over to the closet and opens it to reveal partially ripped purple dress "Someone has been rough with this dress, it's torn."
"Oh no, she must have been wearing it! He killed her, and then he…took it back off…" Belle said horrified.
"No, there's no blood on it. It must have been torn some other time." Mephiles points out and looks at the dress closer.
"What, what are you thinking?" Belle asked seeing his thinking look.
"This is the same dress as Blaze in the book." Mephiles points out "I think 'Smith' was dressing Muffet in it, to recreate the Blaze from this book."
"You're right, it's the same dress." Belle said in surprise "It fits. He's acting out scenes from the book. That poor girl…She couldn't have known…she probably just needed the money. She could have been…anyone. How did she wind up…here? I mean, not exactly HERE, but…Just how does a person…?"
"Aran took advantage of her when she was in trouble." Mephiles said firmly, no matter how much the former boxer denies it, he played a key role in Muffet's death here. "He's a real predator."
"Yeah…" Belle said in agreement. Mephiles looks around and sniffs and looks down to see what looks to be a Chao fruit and kneels down. "Do you smell something?"
"No, just a Chao fruit." Mephiles said picking it up and examining it "Huh."
"Oh no. There's more? What? What now?" Belle asked worried.
"It's got a secret bite taken out of it. Like in Blaze's story in the book." Mephiles told her
"Oh no! Do you think it was poisoned with Ice poison?" Belle asked worried knowing that was the poison used on Blaze in the book.
"It wasn't, I'd have smelled that." Mephiles said shaking his head "I think it's just a prop. It's here because they were acting out the scene in the book."
"Of course. That makes perfect sense." Belle said calming down. "He's just acting out another part of the book!" She looks around the room "Oh my! I can see the whole picture now! It all goes together like you said! The creep put that girl in a Blaze dress and recreated the whole story from the book, with the Chao Fruit, and the frozen sleep and everything! You're a better detective than I thought you'd be."
"Thanks…. I think?" Mephiles said not sure if that was a compliment or an insult.
"So, he had it all planned out, he had all the details noted down. Only, then, when it comes time to kiss her and wake her up…" Belle said thinking.
"Yeah…" Mephiles said nodding.
Belle goes to the doorway and said "I hope you're just about though. I don't really want to stay in here any longer."
Mephiles was about to respond until he sees what looks to be an envelope under the carpet. He puts the Chao fruit down and pulls the envelope out and stands showing it to Belle. He goes to the desk and opens the envelope and pulls the contents out. The first was Blaze in the park crossing a bridge. He places it on the desk
"Are those pictures of the dead girl?" Belle asked him
Mephiles pulls out another photo, placing it on the desk and said "Not all of them."
"How do you know?" Belle asked concerned.
"I'm in this one." Mephiles ssaid pointing to a picture of Mephiles and Blaze in winter attire outside a shoe store "It was taken last winter."
"Oh no. Mephiles…" Belle said walking up concerned "This kind of stalking…it doesn't just stop by itself. Trust me, I know about this firsthand due to Gaston. He'll keep trying to get closer and closer."
"His stand-in for Blaze is gone now, so…" Mephiles said going to pull out another photo.
"The next step closer…" Belle said thinking worriedly. Mephiles looks at the final photo and his eyes widen in shock and she notices "What is it?" She gasps seeing the photo
"It's Scraecrow." Mephiles said and indeed it showed the Blaze disguised Muffet lying on the bed while Johnathan Crane leans over her smiling.
However unknown to Mephiles and Belle, Crane was watching them via the Magic Mirror, he was wearing his Scarecrow Mask and the needle claw on his left hand. He clenches his right hand in anger at his secret being out.
He adjusts his claw glove and then grabs the large magic lamp and goes to slam it into the mirror, the Magic Mirror seeing this tries to scream but too late as it breaks many pieces coming off.
Scarecrow looks down at it as he pants, he wasn't going to go down for this, he will escape.
Well seems Crane is the main suspect now least with Muffet's death but how deeper does this go?
