Chapter 42
Forty five minutes following the ceremony, Jack and Elizabeth were still in the church talking with people. It felt like everyone in town was seeking their moment with the young couple. The newly married couple was tired. They were a little warm and they wanted just two minutes alone with each other. When Frank announced them husband and wife, several people came forward to hug them and congratulate them. The line doesn't seem to be getting any smaller.
Abagail stepped forward. She had this unique ability to raise her voice just enough to capture everyone's attention. Elizabeth would call it Abagail's voice. She has used it a few times in her café when unruly sawmill workers would say something out of line. It always worked. She smiled when she heard Abagail begin to speak.
"If I may have your attention…now, Jack and Elizabeth will be here for a few more minutes to have a picture taken. If we will please make our way to my café, they will be with us soon." Almost instantly people began to leave the line and slowly walk out of the church. Elizabeth gave her adopted sister a huge smile of thanks.
The camera man was happy too. He was under strict orders to take a picture of Elizabeth in her wedding dress. It was never stated, but he felt like his life was depending on the photo. He stepped up to the young couple.
"I would like to take two pictures. One of just Elizabeth under the arbor and then one of you two under the arbor."
Jack and Elizabeth nodded their heads. They just wanted a couple of minutes alone to enjoy for themselves. Their frustration was beginning to grow.
"If this isn't done in just a couple of minutes, I'm sneaking you out the side door for a moment."
"Nod when you are ready." Elizabeth flirted. She giggled at the visible shutter from her new husband.
"Are we done yet?" Jack asked impatiently.
"Soon, husband…soon."
"I love the sound of that. Was it weird to say?" He asked.
"A little but I loved it."
"So, Mrs. Thornton, we did it."
"We did." She let out a very contented sigh. "I love the sound of my new name."
"Are you sure?"
"Yup." She offered a silly smile to her husband.
Jack just laughed. He has never heard her say yup. Her smile grew at his expression.
The photographer got Elizabeth settled where he wanted her under the archway with the beautiful flowers over her. The picture was perfect with just her and her wedding dress. The picture with her and Jack was just as perfect. Their smiles were as big as he had ever seen at a wedding.
…
"Today was a good day." Frank stated as he stepped closer to Abagail in the kitchen of the café.
"It was…" Abagail replied as she was busy placing cut sandwiches on a platter.
Frank knew she was busy, but he wanted to be close to her. The wedding made him think of their wedding in just a few days. He walked up behind his fiancé and wrapped his arms around her stomach. She straightened up and slightly turned her head.
"What are you doing, Frank?" The busyness came through her tone. She tried unsuccessfully to wiggle out of his hold.
"If I'm holding you in my arms and you ask that question, I must be doing something wrong." He stated as he kissed her neck.
"Frank!" Abagail squealed when his lips connected with her skin under her ear.
"That's a little better. At least your mind is on me now." He flirted.
Abagail turned in his arms. They were sharing the same breath. "What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to gain the attention of my future wife for a moment."
"I need to get the food finished and out for everyone."
"Jack and Elizabeth will be here soon. Most people will wait for them to arrive before they eat. You have several people helping you. I would like a moment with you."
The look on his face instantly calmed her mind. The busyness of the moment melted away. She was lost in this man and was grateful she was. Abagail wrapped her arms around his neck. She played with the hair on the back of his head.
"What do you have in mind?"
"Well…" Frank leaned in and gently placed his lips on her. She quickly welcomed him and pulled him in to deepen the kiss.
"Whatcha doing?" JJ ran into the kitchen without looking.
Abagail and Frank stopped kissing but didn't jump back. They continued to hold each other, but they did distance themselves a little.
"You know, you two do that a lot. You should be married." JJ stated as he looked over the counter for his favorite snack.
"No chocolate chip cookies until after you eat."
"Awe man!" He whined.
"Fine, you may have two."
"You're such a softy." Frank chuckled.
"I'm not a softy…I'm Auntie Abagail."
…
"Mr. Lewis." Elizabeth asked, shocked. "I thought you left when the transport team left."
"No. I will be there tomorrow. I wouldn't miss today for anything."
"Thank you." Jack and Elizabeth stated.
"I know this is horrible timing, but I need to speak with you two for a few minutes. Then I'm leaving for Medicine Hat. I'll stop along the way at a hotel. I will see Mr. Thatcher tomorrow and the D. A. a day or two after that."
Elizabeth looked at Jack and he nodded.
"Again, I'm sorry but it's best to get this finished now. When I'm in Medicine Hat, I can stop by the courthouse and file these papers. It will expediently speed things up on a couple of the issues."
"Fine." Elizabeth let out a soft breath. She was ready to spend time with her husband.
"I promise it is good and won't take too long."
Elizabeth nodded as they made their way to the pews to sit down.
"First, Elizabeth…you are an absolutely beautiful bride. I can't believe that little girl who use to run around when I visited your father would be married." Teddy shook his head.
"Thank you."
"Congratulations Jack. I pray you two have the best future together."
"Thank you Mr. Lewis."
"Teddy, please." Jack nodded his head in agreement.
"Now…" Teddy began as he opened his briefcase. "I have several papers for you two. First Elizabeth, I have the form to legally change your name from Elizabeth Marie Thatcher to Elizabeth Marie Thornton."
"Really?" Asked Elizabeth.
"The faster this is filed, the easier it is for the shipping company and the adoption."
"Oh…" Elizabeth quickly signed the paper. She was more interested in the adoption section of the conversation rather than for business part.
"Yes, that leads us to the second set of papers. Jack…Elizabeth, I will need both of your signatures on this one. These are the forms to legally adopt JJ. Now, you both understand that once these are signed and filed, he is legally your son? Under the law, you are both responsible for him just as if he is yours biologically."
"Yes." Both answered enthusiastically.
"I'm sorry, I just have to tell you everything."
"We understand."
"Thanks. Now, the last page is a petition to change his name from Jack Johnson to Jack Johnson Thornton."
Elizabeth stopped signing the papers. The moment moved her to a small tear falling down her cheek. She wiped it away and finished signing her name. She handed the pen to Jack, and he signed his name with a huge smile on both of their faces. Jack signed the last page and handed the papers to Teddy.
"Perfect. I will file these when I am in Medicine Hat. I will forward word to you when it is legal. Figure about two weeks for this to be processed."
"That's fine."
"Yes, Teddy. Thank you for doing this for our boy. He is already using his new name. I'm not interested in correcting him over legal paperwork."
"I don't blame you, Elizabeth. I would do the same thing. Now, Elizabeth, this is for you."
"Ok."
Teddy pulled out two pieces of paper. "This is company related. You will need to sign your name using Thatcher and also your name using Thornton. This makes Jack co-CEO and co-Owner of Thatcher Shipping. This makes your decision official."
"Ok…Why do I have to sign my name twice with both last names?"
"Officially, you are still a Thatcher. However, the process is under way to change it. By signing both names, you cover all bases if anyone questions it."
Jack leaned into Elizabeth. "He's good."
"Thanks." Teddy lowered his head at the compliment.
"That's why I wanted to keep him as the head lawyer." Elizabeth smiled. She quickly signed the paperwork.
"I will file that when I arrive in Hamilton. Elizabeth, you are already the CEO and Owner. Jack, as soon as this is filed, you will become official."
"That's fine." Jack began to say until Elizabeth cut him off.
"You already are."
When Elizabeth signed the paperwork, she handed it to Teddy. He placed it into a file and then sat it on top of the other files they had already signed. "Now, we haven't spoken about this, but you need to sign bank papers."
"Bank papers?"
"Yes, Elizabeth. I have the name change form I will take to the bank to change your name on your accounts. Plus, I have paperwork that you and Jack need to sign to add him to your accounts."
"Accounts? I only have two accounts. One in Hamilton I haven't used since I moved here and the bank here in town."
"Yes. Jack needs to be added to your account in Hamiton and your two accounts here needs to be joined." He looked between the couple. They nodded their heads in agreement. "Now, you will need to visit Hamilton within the next month or so to finalize a few things there. Plus, you will need to meet with Jerry Watts to officially speak with him. I will talk with him when I arrive back in Hamilton. Everything will be settled by the time you come back to Hamilton. Figure you will need to be there for at least three days."
Jack flinched at the thought of having to go back to Hamilton. His experiences of Hamilton weren't the best. He had no desire to go back there. Elizabeth reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze that he understood very well. It was comforting.
"When you are there, we will need to set up and finalize the financial side of things."
"What do you mean? We have already signed the papers for that."
"Well, you signed to join your accounts here and for Jack to be added to your account in Hamilton, but Elizabeth…" He wasn't sure how to state what he needed to say to her. "…you two have instantly became very wealthy. Your father did a tremendous job in running the company. It is very profitable. You will need more than two accounts. I made a deposit into your account yesterday. I also reminded the banker that all information concerning banking accounts are private."
Jack and Elizabeth quickly looked at each other in disbelief. With everything that has been going on for the last few days, they haven't even thought about the financial side of things.
"Listen, we'll get this done now. You two were just married. I know you don't want to deal with all of this now. Signing these papers will only get things rolling now instead of a few weeks from now. Plus, I knew you wanted the adoption papers filed as soon as you can."
"Thank you Teddy." Jack and Elizabeth stated at the same time.
"I'm sorry I'm stealing some time on your wedding day. That's all I need for now. Enjoy your day." Teddy stood and gave Elizabeth a soft kiss on the cheek and shook Jack's hand. He assured them he will be in touch with them soon.
"At least that's over with."
"Yes."
Elizabeth leaned in and gave Jack a quick kiss on his lips. "Now, let's go to the reception and leave as quickly as possible."
Jack kissed her again. "That sounds perfect." He sighed a long breath.
…
"That was a nice wedding." Tom stated as he and Julie walked from the church toward Abagail's.
"It was."
"Are you sad that we didn't do that? A church wedding instead of marrying at the courthouse."
"No. Our situation was completely different. We did our wedding our way. I wouldn't change a thing."
"Me either." Tom let out a sigh of relief as he reached for Julie's hand. He was a little nervous his wife felt bad for the way they did things."
"Now, you leave tomorrow?"
"I do. I need to get back to work. I should make it in enough time not to be late."
"And I will be back in less than a week."
"Yes. You know I'm going to miss you."
"And I will miss you. This will be the first time we have been apart since we have been married."
"Please don't remind me of that."
"Maybe I can give you a memory that will help you until I get home?" Julie flirted.
Tom smiled. Then he quickly changed direction and began to walk toward the saloon.
"Where are we going?" Julie asked.
"To make that memory." Tom flirted winking his eye at his wife.
"Tom!" Julie gasped. "After the reception." She tugged on his arm.
"I'm holding you to that dear…right after the reception." Tom leaned in and kissed Julie softly on her lips.
"On second thought…"
…
Jack and Elizabeth finished the pictures at the church. They had a few more taken than what the photographer insisted. They wanted to remember the day. They also finished with Mr. Lewis. They were shocked with the financial part. They barely listened to Teddy concerning the deposit he made in their account. Their mind was on other things. They were very excited about the adoption process and how quickly it would be taken care of. The mounties were a big part of that. As they left the church, Jack reached for Elizabeth's hand as they walked down the steps.
"Are you lost?"
"What are you talking about?" Jack asked.
"You must be lost…the café is that way." Elizabeth pointed to her left. Jack was walking in the direction of the pond.
"I know that silly." Jack shook his head. "And please don't ask me if I'm lost…I'm never lost." Jack playfully teased his wife.
"Then why are we heading in the wrong direction." She playfully teased him with a smile.
"Today has been busy…the wedding…the pictures…the papers…the long line…I just would like a few minutes of my wife's time before we face the crowd at the café."
Elizabeth stepped closer to Jack and placed her head on his shoulder. "That sounds lovely to me. It has been a busy day."
"Yeah…I just want you to myself for a couple of moments. We have been married for an hour and we haven't been alone for one second of it."
"Perfect." She smiled. "How does it feel to be married and you calling me your wife?"
"Well, it's been busy, but very nice. I wouldn't trade anything for this moment. I also like calling you, my wife."
"I like it too." She smiled. "Jack, we finally did it. We accomplished a huge step in our destiny."
"Yes, I didn't think we ever would, but look at us now…we're married."
Elizabeth thought back over the course of their three years together. The excitement of seeing Jack for the first time at the mine when the plank was found to the first meeting in the saloon when they shook hands, and she got chalk dust on his hand. The Billy Hamilton issue all the way through the wedding. There were good times and bad times. During that time, they grew closer for the most part. Then she remembered the last visit to Hamilton. Before she grew frustrated with herself, she shook her head. She didn't want to live in the past any longer. She was determined to be in the present. She was married to the love of her life and now she has a son. Her life couldn't be any better.
Elizabeth stopped walking and turned toward Jack. "Jack, I am excited about our future. I don't know what's going to happen, but I do look forward to it."
"Me too." His dimpled grin melted her. The only thing she could think about at that moment was to kiss him. She stepped a little closer to Jack and immediately smiled when he matched her actions. The desire was building inside for the both of them. They had done the proper thing during their courtship, but now they didn't have to hold back. That new freedom drove the passionate kiss. Somehow, this passionate kiss was more intense. Even greater than the kiss this morning when she wrapped her leg around Jack, and he grabbed her bottom. If he would have held on for a second more, she was convinced she would drag him into the woods to yield to her body's demand for all of him.
They released the kiss at the same time. Their lungs were demanding air. Jack leaned in and placed his forehead against hers because he didn't want to lose the physical touch.
"E-liz-a-beth, I want you." He stated in a husky breath. Her knees gave way and she leaned more into him so she could stand. Her body reacted to his words and the want in his tone.
"Jack…I want you!" She panted.
After another amazing kiss, he barely whispered. "I think we may need to go to the café, or we will not be going at all."
"You're right…I'm sure they will be looking for us soon." She looked into Jack's eyes, unwilling to remove herself from Jack's touch. "Jack, I'm a little nervous about later." Her voice trailed off into silence. The words spoken so softly that he could barely hear her.
"Me too." He held her a little tighter. "But with you, I can face anything…"
"Yeah…"
"Are you ok?"
"I'm excited and nervous…"
"Together."
"Together."
With that proclamation, they turned to walk toward the café. Eager to get the next hour over with so they can move forward as a marriage couple.
…
The reception at the café was nice. As always, the food was excellent. Everyone had a good time sitting, eating, and catching up. Mr. P danced the father's dance with Elizabeth. While it wasn't getting late, it was approaching evening. The sun had another hour or so before it would hide behind the mountain. Jack looked at Elizabeth after another dance he had with Abagail. He was ready to leave as she was too. He could see it in her eyes. He excused himself when the song ended and made his way to his bride.
As another song began, he swept her to the middle of the café for a dance. "Elizabeth, I'm ready to leave."
"I thought you would never say it. I'm ready too." She leaned her forehead against Jack's.
"After this song, we are saying our goodbyes."
"Why wait?" She released her grip on Jack's shoulders. She took his hand and led him toward her mother.
"Mother, we are leaving."
"So soon." Grace asked before really looking into her daughter's eyes. "Oh…" She whispered. "I love you dear. I will see you sometime tomorrow."
"Yes. When are you leaving?"
"I believe I'm leaving sometime around ten or so."
"We will escort you to the stagecoach. I'll help you with your bags."
"Thank you Jack. I'm sorry you can't leave for a few more days on your honeymoon."
"That's ok. I'm off on Wednesday for a little over two weeks. Abagail and Frank are getting married on Thursday. We are leaving after their wedding."
"That's great. Where are you two going?"
Elizabeth shrugged her shoulders. "I have no idea. He won't tell me." She pouted.
"That sounds lovely." Grace smiled at Elizabeth's pouty face. Her middle daughter never liked to be left out of knowing what's going on.
…
"What is it again that you two will be doing this evening that is better without me?" Challenged JJ for the second time. He just didn't understand why he was staying at Auntie Abagail's tonight when his mother and father would be home a little way down the street.
"JJ, we spoke about this already."
"I know daddy, but it's real now."
"What is?"
"You and mommy are really married now. She's officially my mommy. We are officially a family. Why is our first night apart from each other?"
"We've talked about this. Mommy and I need time just for ourselves. We will be in town for a few days and then we will leave for our honeymoon. You will stay with Auntie Abagail tonight. Mommy and I will come in the morning and get you so we can all take Mrs. Thatcher to the stagecoach. Then you will stay with us until Thursday. Then you will stay with Auntie Abagail for a little over a week. When mommy and I come back to town, you will stay with us. We will all go to Hamilton. Then we come home for a long while."
JJ looked at his father. Jack knew he didn't like the arrangement. A couple of days ago, JJ was alright with it. However, he wasn't good with it now. JJ looked to his mommy for help. He placed his hand on his hip just like she does when she had her scary teacher face.
"He gets that from you" Whispered Jack.
"Not helpful." Elizabeth shook her head.
"JJ, it's tradition for a married couple to take some time to get to know each other."
"Daddy, you have known mommy for three years now. What else is there to know?"
Abagail, who was standing about five feet away enjoying the determination of this little guy, covered her mouth with her right hand and turned her back so Jack, Elizabeth, and JJ. She turned so they couldn't see or hear her laugh. JJ wasn't being defiant. He just didn't understand why he couldn't go home with them. JJ remained standing in front of his parents with his hand on his hip.
"JJ…" Grace placed her hand on JJ's shoulder. She spoke in a grandmother's tone. "…Do you trust your mother and father?"
JJ's body posture changed at her words. "Of course, I do. Mommy and Daddy wouldn't lie to me."
"Then, they will be back in the morning. This situation is a little different. Most of the time, the man and woman are married then kids come later. They always spend some time away with each other. They need to rest from the events of the wedding and to get to know each other. While your situation is different, it isn't wrong. It's just different." JJ was studying Grace's face as she spoke softly to him. "Your mother and father will have the evening and night together. They will be here in the morning for you. Then you three will escort me to the stagecoach area and see me off."
JJ looked away from Grace toward his parents.
"Will you be a big boy for mommy and stay with Auntie Abagail tonight. I'm sure she will have a snack for you and several books for bedtime."
JJ thought about it for a few moments. "You'll be back here first thing in the morning?"
"Not first thing." Elizabeth answered. "We will be here at nine o'clock. We will have breakfast here and then escort my mother to the stagecoach. Afterwards, why don't you and I go to the schoolhouse for about an hour and then we will go to the pond? Daddy will have to go to work for a little while."
"Fine, but I'm not happy about it." He wiggled his finger with a little playful smile.
"Deal." Jack stated. He leaned toward Elizabeth. "I thought he wasn't going to relent. I figured he was just going to come home with us."
Elizabeth smiled when he said 'home with us'. She really was beginning to think of the row house as her home. She wanted to spend a couple of days before they left to start to make it her home too. "Not on your life, Constable." She exhaled.
…
After Jack and Elizabeth left to go home, JJ walked up to Abagail. "Auntie Abagail, did mommy and daddy have to leave?"
"They did, JJ. It's a grown up thing. You'll understand when you get much older."
"My mommy in heaven would always say that when she didn't want to talk about it with me."
"Maybe grownups do that sometimes, but mostly it does involve grownup stuff. You're a little too young to understand it. However, you stated you trusted your mommy and daddy."
"I do."
"Then you need to trust them in this. They love you and you know that. They also love each other. Now, we're not going to have this conversation in a few days when they leave for their honeymoon are we?"
"No ma'am. It's just different today because they were just married. Are you and Pastor Frank leaving for a honeymoon too?"
Abigail's face turned a little pink. This kid sure does ask a lot of questions. She thought to herself. "We are, but we're not leaving until after your mommy and daddy get back. I have the café and the town to work on. Plus, Frank has the church too."
JJ nodded his head. He accepted it but didn't like it.
…
The walk back to the row house was quiet. Elizabeth held onto Jack's arm like normal. His free hand was on top of her hand that was on his forearm. They were touching as they walked so close to each other. They were just happy for the day. Jack was still in his suit and Elizabeth was still in her wedding dress.
After three long years and many ups and downs, they were walking home as a married couple. They walked through the fire and came out on the other side together and stronger. They were a little nervous about the evening together. They have wanted to be together, but they have never done that before, nothing even close to that. The excitement by far outweighed the nervousness they were experiencing. The walk was nice and relaxing. The evening air was perfect. Their smiles grew when they followed the turn in the road and the row house came into view. Both of their faces turned a little pink in color due to the thoughts of what was about to happen.
As they stepped on the small porch of the row house, Jack tugged slightly on Elizabeth's hand he was holding. This action caused her to stop. She turned to face him.
"I love you, Elizabeth. I truly want this." He waved his hand between the both of them. "But I don't want to push this too fast. We move at your comfort level."
"Jack, I love you. I want this. I believe you know that after this morning." She leaned into him placing her arms on his shoulders and playing with the hair on the back of his head. She raised her right foot just enough to rub the outside of Jack's calf to remind him of the intimate kiss on the road this morning. She grinned when he shivered at her words and actions. Jack loved it when he held her bottom for just a moment. The moment felt so incredible that he lost his train of thought.
Elizabeth leaned in just enough that her lips were just a butterfly's kiss away from his lips. She purposefully didn't touch his lips. She wanted to flirt with her husband.
"Jack, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do. In my upbringing, my mother never really discussed intimacy with me. We had the becoming a woman discussion. Mrs. P shared a few insights, but it just wasn't discussed. It was only a duty the wife is supposed to perform."
"Elizabeth, I don't want our intimacy to be a duty. I would like for our time together to be enjoyable for the both of us."
"Perfect." She smiled. They were so close they were sharing each other's breath. "I would like to enjoy that time with you. We just need to communicate and let each other know what and how we are feeling."
"I promise I will do everything I can to make this time enjoyable for you."
"Jack, it's going to be perfect." She leaned in just enough to kiss the corner of his lips. She smiled when he shivered. She liked that she had this effect on her husband. She decided, with the advice from Abagail, that she was just going to read Jack. When she did something and he liked it, she would take notice of it. She did secretly read some of Julie's trashy romance novels but didn't think they were realistic. Elizabeth did have one conversation with her little sister yesterday concerning intimacy, but she just had a hard time taking advice from Julie.
With Jack's shiver, she decided to get out of her head. There were times she could over think situations. Instead of trying to think through this process, she was going to follow her body. She was determined at his reaction just to go with what they both enjoyed. She trusted Jack with her whole body. She didn't think he would be too aggressive, but she was hoping for passion. If she was able to explain her thought process tomorrow, she would be a little disappointed. Instead of thinking things thorough, she wanted them to feel things through. No analyzing…no over thinking…just a natural experience with the person they loved.
Without any notice, Jack quickly swooped down and picked her up. He had his left arm around her back and his right arm under her knees. His facial expression showed her how proud of himself he was by surprising her. She did let out a soft yell when he did it. The little smirk took her breath. She looked into his eyes trying to say something, but she just couldn't. The look in his eyes was different. Of course, she saw love, compassion, and want. She saw those things over the last couple of weeks. However, today…she saw something she hasn't seen before. She saw passion. She wanted to take things slow, but she had to kiss him. Her lips demanded that they were on him this very moment. Instead of going for Jack's lips, she went for his neck. He moaned when her lips landed just below his ear. The vibration of his moan affected her more than she could imagine. It drove her deeper.
She chuckled as she pressed the issue with Jack's ear. He seemed to enjoy her attention there. Not only did he moan at her actions, but he also shivered as well. Plus, she chuckled when he was having trouble opening the door. The harder she nibbled on his neck, the more trouble he had. She made a mental note that he enjoyed her affections on his ear. After the fourth failed attempt, he finally opened the door. He carried her over the threshold and into the living room. He kicked the door closed with his foot as he walked into the home.
Jack deeply enjoyed Elizabeth's affection, but he wanted to play too. Like Elizabeth, he decided to listen to Elizabeth's body. She would tell him what she liked and didn't like by her reaction. Frank stressed to Jack yesterday that all he had to do was truly love Elizabeth. He stressed there was a difference between passion and lust. Lust was temporary. It was self serving. To truly love someone brought passion. Passion desired the other person to be placed first. He remembered Frank's statement. "Jack, truly love Elizabeth and put her and her needs first, and she will truly love you in a way you never imagined if you do that."
Jack stood in the living room with Elizabeth still in his arms. His passion for this woman was written all over his face and screamed it in his eyes. "Elizabeth…I love you with all that I am." As soon as he finished the statement, he kissed her with every ounce of his being. She tightened her hold she had on his neck. She was grateful she didn't have to stand. She didn't think she could. Jack's tongue danced perfectly with her tongue. He was wanting, but in a respectful way. She felt his passion but not lust.
After the kiss, Jack slowly, with purpose, lowered Elizabeth to the floor. Her body slid down his body. When her feet touched the floor, she remained leaning on Jack. He immediately wrapped his arms around her waist. He placed his hand on the small of her back, just above her bottom. His hands rested low on her lower back. He could feel the curve of her bottom beginning. He pulled her closer until she was completely against him. She gasped for air when he continued to try to pull her closer. Her gasp drove him crazy. He crashed his lips onto her lips. He tried to keep his mind, but he was quickly losing it. She just felt incredible in his arms.
Jack slowly kissed his way to Elizabeth's chin. Then he kissed and nibbled her jawline until he reached her ear. She could feel his smile when she moved slightly when he clamped down on her ear. She tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but he wasn't willing to let her go. Honestly, she wasn't trying too hard to escape. She tightened her hold on him. Every feeling she was experiencing at the moment was completely new to her. However, every one of those feelings felt incredible. As she tightened her hold on him, it only drove him deeper. They were feeding off each other. The more Jack became passionate, it caused her to become more passion. The more passionate Elizabeth became passionate, it drove Jack to be more passionate. They didn't know how all of this worked, but they didn't care. They were lost in each other, and they were happy about it. This new journey they were taking together, and it was perfect.
Elizabeth released her right hand from Jack's hair and ran it down his arms. She squeezed his hand and then released it. Her hand fell to Jack's hip. She slowly ran her hand along Jack's belt, under his dress jacket, to his back. She released the belt and let her hand slip down to his back side. She giggled when she gave it a slight pat. She felt him jump a little.
She lost all sense of what she was doing when Jack let go of her ear and kissed his way to her collarbone. As incredible as that felt, his next action made her dizzy. Jack released his hold on her lower back with his right hand. It slowly moved to her hip and then to her tummy. His hand only rested for a second on her stomach. Then, it began to come up her body to her chest. As his hand moved upward, his lips began to move downward. Jack stopped his lips when they reached the top of the lacey material of her wedding dress. His lips hovered over her cleavage gently kissing and sucking her skin. Elizabeth was breathing heavy and her chest was rising and falling with each breath. She gasped when Jack's right hand slowly moved its way up her rib cage and stopped just below her chest. She inhaled quickly and their eyes met. Elizabeth nodded for Jack to continue. The smile on his face stole her breath.
Gently, but with purpose, Jack began to slowly move his hand along her dress. She could feel his hand slowly moving upward. She gasped again when Jack touched her breast for the first time. She has never experienced this feeling before. She imagined earlier that it would feel weird if he was to touch her like that. However, the feeling wasn't weird. As great with words as she is, she couldn't explain it at all. It felt incredible. Jack smiled when she leaned into his touch. He made a mental note that she enjoyed his attention there.
"Jack, you need to take me to bed." She inhaled a deep breath between each word. The air never really filled her lungs.
"Elizabeth…I don't want to push you…"
"Jack Thornton! Now!" She commanded, still trying to capture her breath.
"Elizabeth Thornton…" He began until she cut him off. He was still pressing his lips on her upper chest.
"If you say anything else, I will put you in the corner for not following directions. "Bedroom…now!"
Jack secretly loved it when she went into teacher mode. He would never tell her that. Elizabeth squealed when he quickly picked her up and basically ran up the stairs.
…
"Auntie Abagail…would you read me one more story?"
"You know young man, Jack said to only read you two."
"Well…you are Auntie Abagail. You may do whatever you want." He batted his eyes at her with a devilish little grin.
Abagail shook her head. She knew she couldn't tell this boy no. "Fine…" She huffed. "One more and then you are going to sleep."
"Great!" JJ exclaimed. He picked up another book. "This one please."
"Wait, you already had a book waiting for me to read?"
He nodded his head. She knew she was just played by him. She didn't care. After all, she's Auntie Abagail.
…
Jack carried Elizabeth through their bedroom door for the first time. In the middle of the room, he slowly lowered her to her feet. Every ounce of Jack Thornton was commanding his body to take her to bed and proclaim Elizabeth as his wife. However, every cell of who Jack was commanded him to slow down and make this about his wife…not him. He placed his forehead against hers and slowly wrapped his arms around her waist. They stood in the middle of the room like that for a few moments.
"Elizabeth…" Jack's voice was husky filled with complete passion for his wife.
The tone of Jack's voice fascinated her. Elizabeth tightened her hold on Jack with the sound of Jack's voice. He was pulling her in, and she was willing to go.
"Jack…" Elizabeth spoke at the same time as he did. Her soft voice was heavenly music in his ears. Her soft, loving voice captivated him. He wouldn't trade places with anyone in the world.
They didn't know the struggle the other person was dealing with. However, it was the same struggle. They both were turned on beyond anything they could have imagined. Their young, hormone filled bodies were screaming for release. They have waited for this moment for a while now. Now, there wasn't propriety that was keeping them from fulfilling their body's desire. They were married, and alone in their new bedroom.
For Elizabeth, this morning quick make out session and the few minutes ago in the living room lit a fire inside of her that was never present before. It was also demanding that needs were to be fulfilled. Jack pinning her against the jail wall was just the beginning. When he cupped her bottom this morning, it was something that has never been done before. As strange as it was for a guy to be touching her bottom, she had to admit that it felt incredible. Then when Jack reached for her thigh and held it in place against him. It drove her crazy with want. As great as those were, and they were magical, it was when he paid attention to her chest. She was yearning for Jack to pay attention to that area again without any fabric to be in the way. She knew this wasn't lust. It was pure passion, and she was grateful for it.
Jack was struggling with the same issue. The fire was burning deep inside him, and it was just as demanding to be quenched by Elizabeth. The feeling with Elizabeth's body against his was beyond incredible. She fit perfectly against him. Her curves matched his curves. She just fit. When his hand slid down her back this morning and rested on her bottom, it was his undoing. While he thought her bottom looked perfect in her dresses. He now knows it felt perfectly in his hand. He would do anything to have that feeling again. The few moments he paid attention to her chest felt extraordinarily perfect. He couldn't even imagine how her chest would feel without a dress in the way. He also remembered how she shivered and moaned when he paid attention there. He knew she loved his attention on her chest. He knew this wasn't lust. It was pure desire, and he was grateful for it.
Both of them were looking to fulfill their passion for each other. This was a desire that they have longed to satisfy for some time now, especially over the last two weeks. Jack began to sway from side to side with their foreheads still against each other. They were enjoying their closeness as the fire continued to engulf each of them.
"Jack…take me to bed."
"Are you…"
Elizabeth stopped him when her lips crashed onto Jack's lips.
…
"E…liz…a…beth…" Jack was trying to say something, but he just couldn't fill his lungs with air. The more he took in air, the more air he needed.
Elizabeth wanted to say something but knew she couldn't. So, she didn't even try. She rolled over to her stomach and placed her head on Jack's sweaty chest. Both were drenched with sweat. Elizabeth settled into Jack's chest. He began to slowly run his hand up and down her back with his fingertips. With her left hand, she began to run the fingertip of her index finger across Jack's chest in different patterns. She loved his chest. She laughed to herself when she realized touching his chest was much better in real life than it was in her daydreams.
While they loved each other completely, the fire inside of them was still raging. The gentle touches of Jack's finger on her naked back and her finger on his bare chest were throwing intense fuel on that raging fire. She looked up in his direction the moment he looked down in her eyes. When their eyes connected, they both leaned toward each other for a kiss that threw them off the cliff once again. Without a word spoken, they completely loved each other again.
