Author Intro:
Hey y'all! Just wanted to let everybody get to know me a bit before we start. I'm an American military wife and stay at home mom of two girls, 3yo and 2yo, currently residing in Alabama, but originally from Nashville Tennessee. I've been a HP fan for years but have just discovered FF this past year. I've never written creatively in my life lol I've always been an avid reader but never saw myself as a writer. This is my first shot at it so please be nice, also I'm doing all of this from the notes app on my phone and have no beta reader so I apologize in advance for any misspelling or grammar/formating errors. I would love some constructive feedback! I wrote this over a two day period because I was basically word vomiting this story lol that means I have the whole thing finished so I'll post once a week. Also apologies in advance: I love a good cliffhanger! Happy Reading!

Anima Commutatio Memoriae

"VILE SLIMY SNAKE!" "SELF RIGHTEOUS KNOW IT ALL!"
"ENOUGH!!" Sybil Trelawney has had enough of these two. Hermione and Draco are always at each other's throats these days. She began to seriously doubt the vision she had during their sixth year. How could something so beautiful come out of this? It's time to take matters into her own hands. She pulls out her wand and creates an invisible thread of magic between the two as she utters the spell," Anima Commutatio Memoriae."
Hermione and Draco both look at the eccentric professor oddly as she say the spell, never having heard anything like it before. Next thing they know, the world went black.

"SYBIL!" Minerva McGonagall was seeing red. How many times does she have to remind these people to not use magic on students?!?! "What have you done to Ms. Granger and Mr. Malfoy?!" She stares down at the two eighth year students, actually surprised to see that they looked peacefully asleep. "They were once again arguing, wands were out, they were shouting, I thought it time to teach them a lesson." Trelawney stood up straight and lifted her chin, trying to convey a confidence she didn't have. With a sigh Minerva pulled out her wand, "Levicorpus. I'll take one, you take the other," instructed McGonagall, "we need to take them to Madame Pomfrey's, you can explain this mess on the way".

"Bloody hell," Draco groaned and sat up. He started to glance around, trying to figure out where he was. Just to his right, lying on the ground, way too close to him, was Hermione Granger, hair splayed in all directions. "BLOODY HELL!!" Draco scrambled to get up as Hermione slowly woke up due to his yelling. "What the-WHY ARE YOU HERE? Wait, where are we? What is going on?" Hermione looked around wildly like a scared animal, reaching for her wand. Oh no. "What did you do with my wand, ferret? Give it back NOW!" Draco held his hands up in surrender as she stomped toward him. "I don't have it, I swear!" She could be downright scary sometimes. "I don't have mine either." Hoping that placates her for the moment, he chances another look around. Feeling strangely at peace somehow, something deep down inside of him knows they're not in danger, but he'd still like to know where they are. They both walk around aimlessly for a few minutes before he hears an audible gasp come from her. "What, Granger?" He says as he walks over to where she's standing still as a statue, he notices her hand on her chest over her clavicle and wonders what could possibly be so shocking. He follows her gaze and suddenly he sees it and his eyes grow wide. Managing to get two words out, he barely whispered. "Merlin's beard".
