Prologue

Mark Grayson, a young Viltrumite with a strong sense of ethics and morals, was at a loss when his adversary, Angstrom Levy, ambushed him and the new Guardians of the Globe. They were unexpectedly banished to a dimension beyond Levy's reach, leaving them stranded without knowing what awaited them.

The new hero could rarely find it within himself to complain about this current scenario, especially when you had a life like his. It started with his father lying about why he was on Earth in the first place, and then he dared to call his mother a pet. Well, he would claim to be a lot of things, but a product of a pet needed to be added to the list of things he never wanted to hear ever. Not mentioning the most recent thing his father did was father another child, one that was only half of his blood. Still, he had no idea of the adventures he would undertake.

Chapter 1

Mark and three of the seven guardians landed on a ship in the middle of the ocean. Their first sight was most surely memorable, as was what came out of Rex's mouth. "What am I looking at now? If I continue to stare, I fear I might lose my vision.

" I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I agree with Rex," Mark stated. "She looks like a humpback whale." The other guardians in the room let out a small chuckle until Alvida charged.

" Die, you damned brats," she yelled at the room's current occupants.

It's a well-known fact that Mark never claimed to be a nice guy; he knew this, his friend knew, and even his Mom agreed with this. The room's recipients avoided the charge, and the boy with the straw hat seemed to dodge it just fine, which is great because it gives them time to think up a plan.

"Rexsplode, Samson, I need you to secure the perimeter and take down any pirates while I get everyone to safety. Let's make sure we leave no room for error!"

"By my count, there are approximately 30 pirates. If each of us takes ten, we can resolve this quickly." Rudy needlessly said

The three took a little while to handle business, but Mark quickly took action and rushed over. He punched the first pirate, and they flew into a crowd of others. Feeling confident, Mark dodged a saber. It didn't take much more work: a quick uppercut here, a gut punch there, and he finished the pirates.

Rex was surprisingly having a tough time dealing with the pirates. It all started when three conflicts caught him off guard, which was surprising given his background. To make matters worse, a straw-hatted boy shouted something absurd, which almost caused him to get hit due to the distraction. Fortunately, Rex was able to dodge the attacks and retaliate. To start, Rex elbowed a sorry soul in the throat, and then he threw a few of his explosives toward four more, knocking them all out.

With his newly restored powers, Samson effortlessly overcame his adversaries. The surge of strength coursing through him allowed him to swiftly dispatch them, leaving no room for resistance. With a mighty heave, he effortlessly hoisted his workload over the ship's edge, the effortless display of his newfound might causing onlookers to marvel. It seemed weightless in his hands, a testament to the extent of his revitalized power. Samson completed the task with a minute to spare, outpacing even the swift Rex.

Rudy had the easiest time because he didn't have to move. With his drones, he could fend off stragglers and care for the rest of the pirates. The guardians and Mark turned in time to hear the weird kid's words.

The Straw-hatted boy yelled, "Gum Gum Pistol!" with so much excitement!

The only ones surprised out of the group were Rudy and Rex.

Rudy had his fair share of access to their world's database of heroes and villains. This seemingly unwitting kid was not registered at all. Rex had seen his fair share of heroes and villains, along with their powers. He knew of heroes that could stretch, but not to that length. He thought it was pretty cool yet also disgusting.

The assault was undeniably remarkable, leaving Rex feeling compelled to express, "While that was certainly impressive, I hope I never have to witness such an exhibit again."

Rex quickly questioned, "Who are you? Wait, more importantly, where are we? Which ocean is this?"

"Hey Rex, Rudy suggested, "Please slow down and give them time to process. They look just as confused as we are, if not more."

"Apologies for my friend - he tends to go on and on a bit!"

Luffy's day didn't turn out the way he thought it would. First, he bumped into this super whiny kid who wouldn't stop complaining. And then, these strangers popped out of some round thing. Luffy thought the fight that followed was just amazing to watch. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, so he just started blurting out whatever came to mind.

"Join my crew. That was just too cool."

Mark, along with the guardians, all looked confused at that statement.

Rex foolishly asked, "Join your crew? What do you mean by joining your crew? Are you some street punk or something?"

"Yeah," Rudy said with a smirk, "I think we're going to have to pass on that offer."

"We don't know your name, we have no idea where we are, and we're in the middle of something." But before Mark can finish, he is interrupted.

" My name is Monkey D. Luffy, and I'm gonna be king of the pirates."

Rudy furrowed his brow and asked, "How is that supposed to convince us, like, at all?" quietly to himself.

"I refuse your refusal." Luffy soundly stated

The abruptness of the statement made Rex burst with laughter.

"Pffhahahah, man, I haven't had a laugh like that in a while."

"And why would we be hanging out with a supposed pirate? What would...?" Samson was then interrupted by Luffy.

"I've already rejected your refusal, so now you're officially part of my crew."

Rex couldn't stop laughing when he looked at Luffy. But when he saw Luffy's seriousness, he realized Luffy wasn't joking. The new arrivals settled down and started asking Luffy and the soon-to-be-introduced Coby questions. Before they could start, cannon fire began from what the heroes guessed was a naval ship.

"Well, it's time to go. Get Coby and me a ship. You all should find a way to tag along."
