Memories Of Her-Ch 1
Derek Morgan sighed as he rubbed his tired eyes, he couldn't believe that he hadn't found a way to get away from her, Savannah Hayes, his ex girlfriend from long before he got with his baby girl, she was holding him here, he could tell that something was off, she was monitoring him from the cameras that were all over the room, of course they were too high up with them being in the corners for him to reach but one day he would, he would get away from her and get back to his life, to his wife and their unborn child.
The next 6 to 7 weeks passed by quickly and he was still locked up in that room, every day it was the same thing, he would eat three meals a day with her, she would spend as much time as possible with him but whenever he mentioned going back home to Penelope or talked about the baby that he was getting ready to have with Penelope she would rub her stomach and say, "what about our baby, what about this baby".
Derek knew that she was delusional because the baby she was carrying wasn't his, they had been broken up for over a year and a half so there was nooooo way that the baby growing inside her was his but he had learned to keep his mouth shut and the longer he was there the more fuzzy things were getting for him.
Back in Quantico Virginia Penelope Morgan sighed as she gently stroked her baby bump. she was now a little over 7 months pregnant with her and Derek's first child, now was the time they had dreamed of since they had gotten married almost 18 months ago. She smiled as she remembered how excited Derek was when she told him she was pregnant, how he couldn't wait to get started on the nursery but now, now he was gone and she was forced to live life alone, to raise their child alone.
She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a knock on the door, she slowly wobbled her way across the room and opened the door, standing there was an old friend, well not an old friend but an ex, there standing before her was Sam Benning her ex-boyfriend. She looked up at him and said, "Sam, what can I do for you?", he said, "the question is Penelope, what can I do for you?", she stepped back and said, "come in. come in" and as he walked into the house she couldn't wait to see what it was that he thought he could do for her.
Penelope made her way over and sat down on the couch, Sam sat down beside her and turned to face her as she said, "now what is it that you can do for me exactly Sam?", he reached out and put his hand on hers and said, "I'm here to help you with the baby". She pulled her hand out of his and said, "I don't need your help with my baby, me and my baby will be fine", he shook his head and said, "this baby needs a father", Penelope, knowing what the next words that would be coming out of his mouth quickly stood up and said, "no Sam".
Sam stood and said, "I love you Penelope, I know that I can be the father that your child needs", she said, "my child has a father, one of the best in the world and nobody, not you or anybody else could ever and I mean ever take his place". Sam said, "you need to face the facts Penelope, Derek is gone, he's dead and he's not coming back", before she could stop herself she slapped him hard across the face and with tears streaming down her cheeks she said, "don't you think I know that, don't you think I know that".
Sam stood there holding his cheek, he said, "Penelope I'm", she held up her hand and said, "I don't want to hear it Sam, I love Derek and I always will and I will never ever marry another man", he watched as she made her way to the door and opened it. Standing there was Fran Morgan Rossi how had her hand raised and ready to knock on the door, she said, "honey what's wrong?", Penelope threw her arms around Fran and said, "oh Frannnnnn" as she broke down in her mother-in-laws loving arms.
Fran looked up to see Sam making his way across the room, she said, "I think it's time that you leave", Sam said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt her", Fran said, "you're not wanted or needed her Sam, please leave". As he walked out the front door he said, "remember what I said Penelope", Fran said, "good bye Sam" and shut the door with one hand while she hugged her broken daughter-in-law with her free arm.
As they made their way from the front door Fran kept saying over and over it's alright honey, it's alright, I'm here now, I'm here now", all the time wondering just what Sam had said that had upset Penelope so much, she knew that right now wasn't the time to push for much information but soon, once she had calmed down she would try to find out just what it was that had hurt Penelope so and when she found out God himself had better have mercy on Sam because she wouldn't because nobody hurt Penelope, not now, not ever.
