"Fuah~~… sleepy…"
It is now morning, after having a light meal at Geidontei yesterday, (although she has memory of herself eating there, but not who was serving her, and checking back to her pouch, her money is the same as yesterday), Reimu head back home and quickly dived into her bed. Her head rings from (what she assumed) the alcohol that she had taken. Even today, she woke up a bit later than usual, and didn't have the time to prepare a normal breakfast. Thankfully, the rice from yesterday is still fine, so she sprinkled some salt on it, added a bit of seaweed and eat it as is (she wanted to make rice balls, but she couldn't form it well due to the rice not being freshly cooked), but hey, beggars can't be chooser. Although unpleasant, at least there is something that could ease her hunger pangs.
As Reimu is casually eating her meal, thinking on ways that she could laze around (while making money on the side) today, a familiar voice calls out her name. An all-to-familiar voice. She turns her head to where the voice originates from and there she is, standing in glory on her entryway.
"Yo, Reimu~," a person, who is wearing an all-black-and-white witches' outfit, with blonde hair and braided on one side, claiming that she is a magician, who also claims to be the rival of Hakurei Reimu (in incident solving), comes down to earth after disengaging from her iconic broom,
Kirisame Marisa.
"Reimu~ you there, I wanted to mooch off yo- I mean, wanted to share breakfast with you! Mostly you providing fo…r m…e" Marisa speaks, but slowly trails off when meeting with Reimu. Noticing this, Reimu asks her what's wrong, which Marisa awkwardly said, "H-huh? Oh, n-nothing wrong," she looks away, "An-anyway, I'm here to join in for breakfast…".
"Look, Marisa," Reimu sighs, "How many times do I have to tell you that you can't just mooch off of me like this."
"I knew you said that, so, I brought you a gift," saying that Marisa produces a basket (with a handle) of mushrooms, to be given to Reimu.
"Well, why didn't you say that in the first place~~," Reimu's eyes lit up, looking at the bounty in the basket. She reaches for the basket but stop midway, and asks, "This is… normal… right?" skepticism arose from Reimu, "There isn't any weird mushroom in this… right?"
"Oh, come on, Reimu!" Marisa object, "Have I've ever brought you anything weird before? Besides, I'm eating today too".
"Well… you're right, but better safe than sorry, right?" Reimu comes closer to the basket and grab the basket away from Marisa (touching her hand in the crossfire), "Also, you eating mushrooms isn't something that I could trust on. I mean, didn't you like, eat any mushroom that you found?"
"What?! No, I don't! That's mean, Reimu, why would you say that?" Marisa pouts, "Whatever, I'm coming in," in haste, Marisa quickly comes inside. After coming in, Marisa looks at the (sad) state of breakfast, "Um… Reimu… what's this?" she points to the table.
"Hm? Breakfast," Reimu flatly stated.
"No, what? No, you can't say that THIS is your breakfast…"
"That? Breakfast."
Marisa stands silent for a few seconds, before throwing a tantrum, "NO NO NO I don't want this!"
"? What's wrong?"
"I don't want this as my breakfast! I want a normal one! Where I could eat normally! And one where you could feed me…" Marisa mumbles the last one.
"Hm? What was that?" Reimu couldn't hear what she said.
"An-anyway, redo! Redo! Make a normal breakfast please!" Marisa pleads. Honestly, that sounds more trouble than it's worth. However, she doesn't want to hear Marisa grumbles all day long. Not to mention, with the addition of the mushroom that Marisa had brought over, she could probably whip something up with the remaining leftover rice from yesterday. Mushroom fried rice sounds pleasant right about now. Also, her (sad) breakfast isn't really fulfilling either. So, she asks Marisa to sit back while she went over and cook the mushroom fried rice. Also, she cooked a new batch of rice, so that she could make a mushroom rice ball (to give to Marisa for her gift).
A few minutes later, Reimu came back with two piping hot, freshly made mushroom fried rice. Reimu also brought out two sets of tea and with that, the two pay tributes and dine in. However, during the meal, Marisa has been quiet. Too quiet. Usually, she would be talking about anything and everything. But today, she eats in silence. Occasionally, she could see that Marisa is sneaking glances to her. But Reimu thinks that it's too much of a bother to ask Marisa about it. If she has something that she needs to say, she will let her start.
Anyway, the meal is finished. How fulfilling~. A proper meal really does go a long way. Marisa is still being silent. Reimu picked up the plates of both hers and Marisa and went back to the kitchen. Coincidentally, the rice has finished cooking. Washing her hands, she started making the riceballs (some with salt, some with the left-over dried mushroom and some with plain rice) and after finishing, Reimu brought out the rice balls outside (with some have been packed to be-on-the-go), she placed the plate of rice balls on the table, elicit a thank you from Marisa. Marisa picks one of the rice balls and Reimu does the same. However, after Reimu took a bite out of it, Marisa, instead, look at the rie balls and back to Reimu, again and again. Remember when Reimu said that she lets Marisa speaks first if she's having any trouble? Scratch that. This is bothering Reimu even now. And Reimu does not like to be bothered.
"What's wrong, Marisa?" a concerned Reimu asks. Hearing that, Marisa head sprung up.
"Hu-huh? Nothing… nothing, what's wrong?" Marisa awkwardly says, while looking back to her rice ball.
"You've been sneaking glances all throughout our meal. Even now, you keep doing it. Is there something that you want to say to me?" Reimu place her left hand on her cheek, her elbow stabs the table while taking another bite with her right.
"No-no, nothing's wrong. Hahaha…" Marisa scratches the back of her head.
"Marisa," Reimu look straight at her, prompting Marisa to look away. Reimu sighs, "Look, whatever that you're going to say, I won't get mad. So, can you please tell me what it is?"
"… you won't get mad?" Marisa meekish-ly asks.
"That depends."
"So you will get mad!"
"Alright, I won't. But not if it's something stupid, okay?" Marisa stays silent for a few before starting,
"Well, you know how you made this rice ball, right?"
"I already washed my hands," Reimu cuts in.
"That's not it! Anyway, you know how you generally use your hands to make this, right?"
"I heard that the Kappa had made an invention so that you could easily mold the rice into rice balls. I was trying to get one for myself, but they said that it's still in development. Oh, but I know. Those Kappa are lying to me. They just want to keep it to themselves. Well, whatever. I could easily make one myself. So, what's this about rice balls?" Reimu took another bite, finishing the rice ball that she had on hand.
"Um, I was thinking… Do we, really need to use our hands to make them?" Reimu stays silent, raising her eyebrow, to signal Marisa to continue, "I mean, we need to wash our hands and everything to make them."
"I think anytime you're cooking, you should wash your hands," another interruption.
"I know, but it's a hassle sometimes, right?
"… no?"
"… aaaahhhh it's hard to skirt around this. I'm just going to say it outright! Reimu!" Marisa looks straight to Reimu's eyes, the first time she'd done today. Seeing this, prompted Reimu to look at her in seriousness. Marisa takes a deep breath, and out her mouth she says,
"Reimu! Please remake this rice balls using your armpit instead!" Marisa lowers her head.
"Ah, you like to be hit, I see~" Reimu crack her knuckles. Hearing that, Marisa quickly raises her head and explains to Reimu,
"Wa-wait, Reimu! I could explain!"
"You could tell me all about it after I stop hitting you~~" she blows hot air on her fist.
"Pl-please, let me explain!" Marisa pleaded. Reimu waits a few seconds before sighing, and lets Marisa continue, "S-so, I went to the Scarlet Devil Mansion, right? And I saw that Sakuya was at the grapevine. So, curios that I was, I went there, and, you know what she did? She stepped on the grapes that they used! So, I ask her what she was doing and Sakuya said that she was just making the next batch of wine for her mistr-, uh, Remilia. She said that they can control the wine that they want to make."
"Eh~ is that so?" Reimu looks interested at first, but then, "So, how does this relate to my ar-armpit(?) again?" she stoically asks.
"So, that gets me thinking, 'What if different body parts give different results on the taste of food?' and that's why, I… ask… hahaha" Marisa scratch her head.
"I see~" Reimu gives a big smile, "Well, get ready to grit your teeth~"
"W-wait Reimu! We can settle this peacefully," Marisa readies to shield herself from the beating that she will eventually receive, but it never came. Confounded, Marisa take a peek in between her hands to see that Reimu is holding her head right now, "R-Reimu? What's wrong?"
"Sorry, Marisa. I don't have time for this right now. My head still hurts from, something. Can you please just head home for now?"
"O-okay, sorry, Reimu," Marisa slowly gets up. She worries for Reimu but she's afraid that she incurs Reimu wrath more. Just as she was about to leave,
"Marisa. Wait," Reimu calls out to her. She turns around to see Reimu pointing her finger to a bag, "You forgot that" she points to a bag filled with rice balls.
"Is that for me?" Reimu nods, "Can I really have them?" Another nod, "Even after I ask you something stupid today?"
"I don't know what your deals is today. You act like you have no filters on you, or today is a prank or whatever. I don't have the energy to argue with you. Besides, that," she re-points back to the bag, "Is a thank you gift, for the mushroom. You can take them, or don't."
"N-no! I will! Thank you!" Marisa quickly grabs the bag before, scared that Reimu would take them away from her, "And I'm really, really, really sorry for today. You should get some rest if you can. Do you need anything?"
"I preferred if you just, let me rest today, thank you."
"…okay, but if you need anything, I'm here for you." And with that (another looks from Marisa to Reimu), Marisa finally left. Reimu is left bewildered by her friend request.
An armpit-made rice ball? What is wrong with her today? Reimu thinks. Marisa has always been one to challenge many things, and act upon many things, but this is something that she never realized she would say. She had known Marisa for years, and this is a first Marisa would ask that of her.
… guess there is some things that I don't understand about that girl… Ah well, finishing her thought, Reimu (did the bare minimum) cleaning up, her head still hurts from yesterday. After that, she moved aside the table, and lay her body on the tatami floor, her head rest on her arm as she crooks her body. Slowly, her eyes closed, ready to go to sleep.
Inside the Forest of Magic, a magician is whizzing around the sea of trees, just to get back to her house. In her hands, she clutches the food that her friend had made for her. Slowly, she could see the contour of her home, the destination that she wishes to reach. Upon arriving, Marisa gets off from her broom that she uses as means of transport and enters her home.
Entering her home, she is greeted with her usual oddities: random objects are strewn about, making it hard for anyone to walk through. Luckily for her, she already knows the way for her to walk, so it's a non-issue for her. This mess could rival even the shop, Kourindo, run by an-eccentric of a shop owner. Despite that, after closing her door, Marisa didn't move from the spot. Instead, her body slouches backwards, her back touches the closed door.
"… why did I say all that?" Marisa mutters. She remembers back to this morning, the whole ordeal with her friend, Hakurei Reimu.
It was another day for the magician. After staying up all night with her experiments, her stomach rumbles. It craves sustenance. Looking around the place, there's isn't any readily available food that she could eat. The only thing that she had was a butt-load of mushroom that she wanted to use as catalyst for her experiment. Luckily, the mushroom isn't harmful to the human body, but she doesn't want to eat it like it is. She wanted a proper meal. Well, no choice then. She just has to find someone that could provide her that. And who else would indulge her of her request other than her rival at the Hakurei Shrine, Hakurei Reimu. But she wouldn't just go empty handed, as they would lessen her chance to procure a meal, so, she brought with her the remaining mushroom to act as a bargaining chip. And with that, she is off: to the Hakurei Shrine.
Arriving at the Hakurei Shrine, Marisa called out to Reimu, and then, she heard her voice replying back. Descending from her broom, she called out to Reimu, asking her if she could join in her breakfast meal but then, she sat there, the same girl that she have always seen before.
The red white miko, with black-brown hair and red bow tying her hair, a miko of the Hakurei, the one she has a rivalry on (incident solving), the same, but different,
Hakurei Reimu.
But today, Reimu is different. Marisa trails off from her words. Has she always had that captivating eye, the small kissable lips, her small figure leaves for desire and not to mention her armpit! How could she leave it in the open like that? Also, why is there flower coming off from besides Reimu? Those roses fit her to a T. Someone who is beautiful, yet hard to grasp on, as the thorn would prick you if you're not careful.
"Hm? What's wrong, Marisa?" the cute Reimu speaks. Ah, even her voice is wonderful. It brings shiver to Marisa, and she wishes that she would call her name more. Wait wait wait, snap out of it! Reimu is calling you!
Marisa assured Reimu that she is fine and said that she wanted to have breakfast with her. Of course, Reimu would disagree at first, and that's where the gift would come in. She showed Reimu about the basket of mushroom that she brought. And of course, Reimu eyes lit up, showing how innocent she is in her desires. Slowly, Reimu was about to take it but reel back, she asks Marisa if there's anything mix up in the mushroom. Oh Reimu, how silly of you. Of course there isn't. After all, this is a gift for you. Marisa wouldn't dare to mix anything dangerous. If she did, she would not forgive herself. Thankfully, Reimu took her gift and quickly Marisa went inside. Before entering, a thought crept up Marisa's mind,
'This makes it feels like we're husband and wife… just kidding… hahaha' but then, something terrible happens. She stumbles upon her wife horrible meal! Marisa asked Reimu what happened here, and apparently, this is the breakfast for today.
… no, no no no this can't be it! She doesn't want to eat whatever Reimu just showed her! She wants something with more sustenance! Something filling. If it's like this, she couldn't ask Reimu to do the 'Ahh~' thing that she read on many fiction books from Suzunaan. So of course, logically, Marisa protests. Thankfully, Reimu is kind and understanding, and she decided to make something better for her. Alright! With this, breakfast is safe. Now she only needs to ask her to feed her. How hard could that be?
… it's no use. After bringing out her meal, Marisa and Reimu only eat in silence. Marisa have been trying to muster up her strength for this, but no matter what, she couldn't say it. Her face cringe in embarrassment thinking about what she wanted to ask,
'Hey Reimu, can you feed me?~ You know, just like how lovers do. What? You're embarrassed? Hahaha, don't worry, let me start first. Now, aah~''
Gaaaaaaahhhh get out get out get out! That's not Marisa! Don't listen to her Reimu! Also, this is something that has been on her mind lately. But Reimu's outfit. Why are her clothes revealed her armpit that much? Has this always been a tradition for the Hakurei Shrine? A hand-me down from her predecessor? Is that how they attract people to come in? By enticing them with the promise of Nirvana? I wish that she would entice me with those armpits as well… Those warm, sweaty and delightful nectar. If it was her, she would like to just jump in and dive right in there. Smell it. Lick it. Suckle on it. If she could, she would forever live in it. … Maybe she could ask the Inchling Princess to shrink her or something.
Then, Reimu comes closer and picked up the plate that Marisa and Reimu was eating. What? It's over already! And she didn't get the chance to ask Reimu to feed her! This is a disaster… and Reimu already went back to the kitchen…
Not too long after, Reimu comes back with a bag and a plate. She placed the plate down and on top of them, revealed to be rice balls. Marisa thanked Reimu for the gift.
'She even made rice balls for me… How kind of her!' Marisa silently thought. She took one of the rice balls and before eating, she noticed how warm it is. Speaking of warm, armpits are generally warm… right? I mean, the place where the armpit resides is the place where the most blood flows. That means, a lot of energy passes through it. You could even say, it is the warmest place next to the heart. Also, speaking of heart, armpit is really close to where the heart is. You could even say that the armpit = heart. Now, the biggest question of them all: how would it taste if Reimu made this rice ball with her armpit instead of her hand? I mean, sure there's probably health reason to worry about but this is Reimu. Every part of her body is clean and pure so there's nothing to worry about and-
"What's wrong, Marisa?" she could Reimu calls out her name. That surprised her! So, she could only awkwardly reply back. It seems that Reimu noticed that Marisa has been stealing glances at her. Oh no, this is bad. Did she know that she was looking at her armpit all this long, and how she wanted to know what it would taste like? Or maybe how she would preserve it for future generations to experienced? But Reimu is showing concerned to her. So, maybe it's fine if she asked this of her. Of course, Reimu is someone kind. She would indulge in whatever she asked for, right?
…
… huh? Wa-wait Reimu! Stop! Wait!
How comes? She only asked her to re-make this rice ball using her armpit to shape it, why does she have to be mad. And now she have to say something, explain to her, to appease her anger. Think Marisa, think!
…
Ah, right! She remembers at the Scarlet Devil Mansion! With Sakuya, she could use that! Thanks, Sakuya!
…
Aaaaahhhhhh! It doesn't work! Screw you Sakuya! Your story is awful!
Marisa then decides the best course of action is to shield her face from Reimu's hit. After all, Reimu hits hard. But the hit never came. Marisa looks back at Reimu and see that she looks to be a bit tired. Feeling worried, Marisa takes a look at Reimu's condition and apparently, she had a bit of headache. She asked her if there's anything that she could help with, but Reimu just wanted to be left alone. Hearing that hurts, but if that is what could make her feel better, she will respect her wishes. So, Marisa decides to leave but then, Reimu called out to her again. This time, the bag (that was filled with rice balls) was for her. At first, she thought it was strange for her to receive after pestering Reimu and making her mad, but it seems like this is a gift! From Reimu! Marisa graciously accepts the gift and with a final look, she flies off.
And we're back to the present again. Marisa finished recalling her morning. Thinking back, she couldn't believe it either. The things she said, and the thing she did. It makes no sense. She never had these feelings before with her friend. But now, she acts like Reimu is the only thing that matters to her. Like she gave her a sense of meaning. She doesn't understand. But being with Reimu is fun. She would love to be closer to her. But now she wants to become number one. To become number one for her. Her first friend. Her first lover. Her first husband.
If that is all there is to it, it would be fine, but there is something more. Something far sinister in her head. Marisa closes her face, and she thinks of more things that she would like to be first of Reimu.
Her first kiss. Her first jealousy. Her first abused. Her first fight. Her first apology after the abuse. Her first night together. Her first regret. Her first confinement. Her first her first her first
Anything that you could think off, Marisa wants to be the first to do it with Reimu. To do it to Reimu. Just the thought would make Marisa salivate. Even now, her breathing is ragged, thinking the pain that she could cause to Reimu. She hated this. She doesn't like seeing Reimu in pain. But another part of her would like to see every part of Reimu. Her smile, her crying, her pain, her hurt. Everything has to be for her. But most importantly, she has to be first. She would not let anyone take that away from her.
With the hand that Reimu had touched her, Marisa places her lips there, sucking on it. More and more saliva are now on her fingers. And from all that, she calls out to one name,
Reimu.
