Double Suspension.

Bobby grew more nervous with every step he and Laura took to the principal's office.

Principal Sanford sat at his desk. When he saw Bobby and Laura standing in the doorway, he gestured for them to come in, which they did, with Bobby closing the door afterwards.

"Have a seat, you two." Principal Sanford ordered.

Bobby and Laura walked up to the Principal's desk and sat down in the two chairs in front of it.

Principal Sanford just started at the two kids for a moment. "Andrey is on his way to the hospital, Laura. Do you have anything to say about that?"

Bobby's mind began to race. He could barely keep track of the thoughts that floated in and out.

"I-is he okay?" Laura asked.

"Well, he has a broken nose, a chipped tooth, and a black-eye! And that's what we know of as of now! So no, Laura, i'm gonna say he's not okay!" Principal Sanford scolded.

Bobby sat in his seat, stunned. He had never heard Mr. Sanford talk to anyone in this angry of a tone. To be honest, it scared him. And it left him not knowing what to say in Laura's defense.

"What in the world happened out there?!" Principal Sanford snapped.

"I-i-i don't know, Mr. Sandford, i just...lost control." Laura said, clearly shaken by Mr. Sanford's words.

"You lost control? There is a boy on his way to the hospital! This is serious, Laura, tell me what happened!" Principal Sanford yelled.

"Well..." Laura began. "i was just with Bobby, minding my own business. Andrey and Joshua approached us. They started picking on Bobby again and calling him names and started saying all of these horrible things to him. He tried to ignore it like he usually does. Then they tried to steal the school's charity money and Bobby tried to get it back from them. I guess all of my built up frustration finally came out. I really don't know, Mr. Sanford, i don't."

"(Sighs)!" Principal Sanford sighed loudly. "Listen, Laura, you're lucky Andrey's parents don't wanna press charges. And that's only because they said Andrey has been in your position before and they know these things happen. Not everyone is going to be so understanding. I really didn't expect this out of you. Not you, Laura. Look, if you have an issue Andrey, or anyone else for that matter, you need to walk away from them...not react with violence. At first i was planning on expelling you...but the only reason i'm not is because this is your second week here and you've never been in trouble before. I am, however, suspending you for seven days though, and you will make up for all that school work when you come back. Now get back to class. Your suspension begins tomorrow. I'll call your parents and let them know why you won't be coming to school for the next seven days."

Laura got up from her seat and left out of the principal's office, closing the door afterwards.

"As for you, Bobby, your two-day suspension begins right now. Go get your things and go home." Principal Sanford said.

"What?!" Bobby gasped. "Why?!" He asked, surprised. Why was he being suspended again. Laura he could understand getting suspended, given that she beat up Andrey, not that he didn't deserve it, but...what was he getting suspended for? He didn't do anything.

"For attempting to steal charity money from the school." Principal Sanford answered.

"That's not what happened! Andrey's the one who tried to steal the money from the school!" Bobby said.

"That isn't what he told me. He said you were stealing the money and he and Josh stepped in and tried to stop you." Principal Sanford said.

"Then Andrey is lying!" Bobby snapped, standing up.

"Enough!" Principal Sanford yelled. "Now, i'm not expelling you and you should feel thrilled about it. Anymore trouble from you--anything at all--and i will enforce that expulsion. You're on thin ice. Now go get your things and head home. I'll call your house and let your Dad know you're on your way and why."

Bobby was not pleased with what he had heard regarding him and Laura. If the school was fair...people would realize Andrey got what he deserved. His Dad was going to flip out on him, he knew. But he didn't want anymore trouble. And he knew that pleading his case to Principal Sanford wouldn't help anyway. "Thank you, Mr. Sanford." He said. "I promise i won't be anymore trouble." He then turned and walked out of the office, closing the door behind him.
