The first rays of dawn peeked through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room. Tony stirred, slowly waking to the sensation of warmth beside him. He opened his eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep, and found himself gazing at Kerry, who lay nestled against him. Her face, relaxed in slumber, held an ethereal beauty that made his heart swell.

For a moment, he simply watched her, mesmerized by the way the light played on her skin, highlighting the soft curves of her cheeks and the delicate flutter of her eyelashes. He marveled at the peace that emanated from her, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of their lives.

Tony gently brushed a strand of hair from Kerry's face, careful not to wake her. His touch was tender, filled with a profound sense of gratitude and love. How did he get so lucky? he wondered, tracing the outline of her jaw with his eyes. The thought of their time together, both on and off set, filled him with a deep sense of contentment.

As if sensing his thoughts, Kerry stirred, her eyelids fluttering open. She blinked a few times, her eyes adjusting to the morning light, and then a soft smile spread across her face when she saw him. "Good morning," she murmured, her voice still husky from sleep.

"Good morning," Tony replied, his voice equally soft. He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Did you sleep well?"

Kerry nodded, stretching luxuriously beside him. "Better than ever," she said, a playful glint in her eyes. "Must be the company."

Tony chuckled, the sound low and warm. "Well, I'm glad to be of service." He reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers. The simple act felt intimate, grounding him in the moment.

They lay there for a while, wrapped in the tranquility of the early morning. Outside, birds began to chirp, their melodies blending with the distant hum of the city waking up. But inside their cozy cocoon, time seemed to stand still.

"Do you remember the first scene we shot together?" Tony asked suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence. His eyes sparkled with the memory.

Kerry laughed softly. "How could I forget? I was so nervous. But you... you were this calm, reassuring presence. You made everything easier."

Tony squeezed her hand gently. "You give me too much credit. You were brilliant, even then. I knew from the start that we had something special."

Kerry's smile softened. "And now, here we are," she said, her voice filled with wonder. "Who would have thought?" Tony leaned in, their foreheads touching. "I did," he whispered, his breath mingling with hers. "Every moment with you feels like a gift."

"What's on the agenda today?" Kerry asked, her voice a soft murmur. "Breakfast! I'll make it for you!" Tony exclaimed playfully. "What'll be?"

Kerry smiled, "just something simple..eggs and toast..and don't forget the jam!"

Tony grinned, "Of course! Only Vermonts finest!!" Getting up he gently kissed her on the lips and went to the kitchen to get started. As he prepared breakfast he couldn't help but think of the events of the past year. His mind started to drift off…

-Summer of 2023-

Tony sat in his living room reading, softly mouthing the words, when the phone rang snapping him out of his book. He glanced at the caller ID. It was Kerry! Between their busy lives they hadn't gotten the chance to see each other much at all lately and he really missed her.

"Hi", he answered. "Hi", the voice on the other end of the phone was like sweet music to his ears. "I have a proposition for you Tony", Kerry's voice sounded excited. "You know that book I wrote, about my life? I'm going on a book tour and I would absolutely love it if you could be my guest on my DC stop this fall. Let's stir up some excitement and have it be a mini reunion between us."

"I'm in!" Tony exclaimed. "Anything for you Kerry!"

"Great!" Tony could hear Kerry's smile through the phone. "Let's tug on the heartstrings of Olitz fans and do a filmed reunion with our song and everything. Twitter will be on fire!" She laughed. "Yes indeed it will", Tony mused playfully.

-Fall 2023-

The day had finally arrived. Kerry's book tour stop in DC was about to begin, and a mixture of excitement and nerves fluttered in her stomach. She turned slightly, catching a glimpse of herself in the dressing room mirror, admiring her beautiful red lace blouse and pants. A knock sounded on the door and the camera man spoke, "Ms Washington, Tony Goldwyn says he's ready when you are to start filming!"

Kerry took a deep breath and opened the door, and started walking down the hallway in her famous Olivia Pope strut. She knocked on Tony's dressing room door and he opened. A rush suddenly came over her and it felt a bit like Deja vu. "Hi" she smiled up at him with her gorgeous smile. "Hi" He smiled back, leaning close into her face. Is he going to kiss me? Kerry wondered nervously. Did he forget the camera is going? At the last moment, Tony moved his face and they melted together in a hug.

The camera man stopped filming and left. Tony shut the door and took her hand, admiring her up and down. "My God Kerry, you look so amazing!! He marveled at her.

"How do you feel?" Tony asked, his eyes meeting hers again.

Kerry took a deep breath, a smile playing on her lips. "Excited. Nervous. All of the above," she admitted, turning to face him fully. "It's a lot, you know? Putting myself out there like this."

Tony took her other hand in his. "You've poured your heart into this book, Kerry. People are going to love it. Just like I do." His voice was steady, a comforting anchor in the sea of her emotions. She squeezed his hands, grateful for his unwavering support. "Thank you," she said softly. "I don't think I could do this without you."

Tony smiled, a reassuring warmth in his eyes. "You'd do just fine, but I'm glad I get to be here with you."

They stood together in a moment of shared silence, the enormity of the day settling between them. Kerry's thoughts drifted to the countless hours she'd spent writing, the late nights and early mornings, the doubts and the breakthroughs. And now, it was time to share her story with the world.

"Are you ready?" Tony asked, breaking the silence. He released one of her hands gently.

Kerry nodded, her resolve firming. "I am." She glanced at the clock on the wall. "We should probably get going. It's almost time."

Tony checked his watch and nodded. "Let's do it." He grabbed the keys and her book from the table, holding it up with a grin. "Lead the way, superstar."

Kerry laughed, feeling a bit lighter. They left the suite, heading toward the auditorium where it would all take place. As they stepped into the backstage they could hear Fans and auditorium staff alike turning their heads, murmuring excitedly. Kerry felt a surge of gratitude for the people who had supported her journey. Tony squeezed her hand, offering a silent reminder that he was right there with her.

They walked out onstage to the roaring applause of the audience and began the session. Tony stared intently at Kerry, eyes full of pride, love and devotion. He couldn't tear his eyes away, chills going down his spine. She's just..perfect..He mused.

Before he knew it, the night was over, Kerry was hugging him onstage, running her fingers quickly through his curls on the back of his head. They walked backstage.
