(NCIS)

Tony DiNozzo can say a lot about his career, but seeing a guy who wore about as much black as Abby sitting at McGee's desk who looked both dead asleep and on high alert like Ziva normally did.

"Who is that?" Ziva said coming in seeing Tony standing around.

"I have no idea, looks familiar though." Tony said to her just as Tim came in "This should be fun." he said to her.

Tim saw Tony and Ziva standing around and became curious as to why, he looked at his desk and saw someone sleeping there "Tony please tell me that's not a male stripper." he said as Tony pulled a lot of pranks like that over the years.

"Not my handy work probie." Tony said raising his hands in peace.

Ziva walked over to the man and just as she was about to 'kindly' wake him up by pushing his feet off the desk, but the moment she made contact, the man quick awoke grabbed her hand, did a spin and sent her flying into Tony and Tim making all three of the pile up.

At that moment Gibbs got off the elevator and saw what had happened to his team, before turning to see a familiar face "Naruto?" he asked in surprise "Hey bud c'mere." he said walking over to him and giving him a hug.

The team looked at the scene in shock as Gibbs rarely hugged anyone that wasn't Abby.

"Everyone this is Naruto Namikaze, a former lieutenant colonel in the Navy and my former protegee, he was on the team before you guys, he's been on a deep cover mission." Gibbs said introducing his former team member.

"Sorry, but I don't like anyone messing with my sleep." Naruto said to Ziva as they got up.

"My apologies." Ziva said as it was rare that she was taken down.

"DiNozzo you still work here?" Naruto asked with a smirk.

"Am I gonna need to be carried me out in another bodybag?" Tony asked with a smirk of his own. "Kinda like how you did to me on my first week of working here." he said as they shared a laugh.

"Hey, it was a right of passage don't blame me Probie." Naruto said with a shrug

"Wait he did what to you with a bodybag?" Ziva asked curiously as that sounded interesting.

"Okay it's my first week here Gibbs sticks me with this guy to show me the ropes things seem fine then one day I'm in my apartment sleeping like a baby then next day I wake up feeling my self being carried around can't see a thing screaming my lungs out for hours only to find out psycho fox here had stuck me in a bodybag and shipped me off to the morgue!" Tony said glaring at Naruto while McGee and Ziva struggled to hold back their laughter.

"Ducky sure had a field day with that." Naruto said with a chuckle.

"Wow, someone hazes you harder than you do me, I'm not sure if I should be laughing or terrified." Tim said to him.

"Don't worry probie, since you're now the baby of the group, he'll focus on you." Tony said with a smirk "This means I can go on vacation." he said with a sigh of relief someone would be here to mess with Tim.

"How have we never heard of him?" Tim asked Gibbs, trying to change the subject.

"Deep cover means deep cover McGee, he was investigating a group of radical terrorists so he had to go dark, if there were moles here or people that could cohere into talking, he'd be in trouble on his own, he took down about a third or half the group on his own if I heard right along with the high ring leaders." Gibbs said to him.

They all had to admit that it was rather impressive.

"Ok, but why was he sitting at my desk?" Tim asked him.

"It was his before you, it was just emptied out for various reasons." Gibbs said as he guessed Naruto didn't think he'd get many team members

(morgue)

"My boy it's good to see you." Ducky said as he gave Naruto a hug "This is my new assistant Mr Palmer." he said to him introducing them.

"Pleasure, Ducky only works with the best and most talented." Naruto said to him.

"Oh, thank you." Jimmy said to him as Naruto then left "You've never mentioned him." he said to Ducky.

"Not many people know him to bring him up." Ducky said to him "I may be the eldest member here at NCIS Mr Palmer, but that young man was Gibbs first recruit, he and Abby were the best of friends and dated, but they had to end things when he had to go on this deep cover mission." he said to him.

"He dated Abby?" Jimmy asked as that was surprising as Abby didn't seem like a work place dater.

"Oh yes, Naruto works with different charities, animals, clean-ups to the environment, he and Abby did many things together." Ducky said to him.

Jimmy was curious as to how Abby would react to a person she hadn't seen in such a long time.

(with Abby)

"Naruto!" Abby said hugging him tightly "You were gone so long!" she said as she whined "I missed you so much." she said squeezing him tightly.

"Missed you to Abby, how you been, has Gibbs been watching after you?" Naruto asked jokingly as he asked Gibbs prior to leaving to keep an eye on Abby.

"Yeah recently had a stalker following me, but I took care of him and oh the guy that tried to murder me." Abby said calmly not seeing Naruto look ready to go murder someone.

"Still have that tazer I gave you right?" Naruto asked her curiously as he gave it to Abby for self-defense and it was a bit illegal given the voltage amount, but he didn't tell Abby that for deniability and he'd take all the blame, she'd strictly use it for self-defense so there was no real issue for concern.

"Yep." Abby said with a smile.

"Still have my apartment keys?" Naruto asked as he left Abby with his keys before leaving.

Abby tossed him a set of keys "And don't worry Kurama was well taken care of." she said happily.

"Little bastard." Naruto said with a chuckle as his pet fox was a bit of a handful.

(next day)

"Are any of us being replaced?" Tim asked the others.

"Gibbs doesn't replace people." Tony said to him "Why ask?" he asked curiously.

"Well Director Vance just approved him on being on Gibbs' team and I thought four agents was the maximum number." Tim said to him.

"True, but other teams get other people once something happens they either get a replacement or join another existing team till they can be refitted." Ziva said to him as she read the procedure on this.

"Plus if someone is gonna be replaced it'd be you two." Tony said confidently.

"Why us?" Tim asked him wondering what his logic was.

"I've known Gibbs longer than both of you and have learned all his rules, strategies, pretty much his whole handbook." Tony said to them "You two have barely been there at best." he said confidently.

Ziva and Tim had to give him that for as much as Tony ran his damn mouth, he did know Gibbs best and had worked with him longer than the both of them put together.

"Or nothing can be wrong." Naruto said to them surprising them.

"You can fight and sneak." Ziva said suspiciously as he had gotten past her training twice now.

"Skill." Naruto said simply "Also no one is being replaced, they're gonna make space for my desk, apparently taking down terrorists gets you a lot of respect." he said as Vance was treating him like an all star player as NCIS was getting some good PR.

The group felt relief at that as they went to their desks and stopped seeing Gibbs petting a large fox.

The fox looked at the group and approached them baring it's fangs at them.

"Heel Kurama." Gibbs said as the fox heeled.

"I thought that thing was dead." Tony said as it had been years since he had seen it.

Kurama huffed in his direction.

"I love this little guy." Gibbs said as this fox followed orders perfectly, and he was rarely seen, plus he recently had the fox mess with Vance by stealing his wallet and keys.

(next day)

"Stop giving me that look." Naruto said to Kurama seeing him eye the door sadly "We can see Abby later." he said to him seeing the fox whine more "If I give you a steak will you shut up?" he asked as Kurama barked and his tail swayed.

(with Abby)

Abby was lying in her living room coffin as she thought about Naruto, after house sitting for him for so many years, she got curious during her time there, once when she was spending time with Kurama, he brought her to Naruto's room, and pulled out a small black box, she opened it and was shocked as she saw an engagement ring with her name engraved inside it, there was a receipt near it and it was the day they were last together before he had to leave, she understood why Naruto had to leave, but he had been planning on proposing to her, if he told her she would've waited, instead he wanted to take a 'break' while he was 'away'.

"I make my own choices Mr." Abby said stubbornly as he didn't get to just chicken out on her and keep this to himself.

(later at NCIS Interrogation)

"Can I ask why the cuffs?" Naruto asked literally cuffed for no apparent reason and dragged to interrogation.

"BARK!" Kurama said as he wagged his tail.

"I-BARK-I'm sorry we will be asking the questions here." Ziva said to him.

Naruto was still confused but kept seated "Can I ask what the hell this is about?" he asked before the door slammed open revealing Abby who walked in a suspenseful dramatic way and sat across from Naruto.

"We're here because of you Mr Namikaze." Abby said giving him the look, which was somehow trade marked by all the women in NCIS.

(other side of the glass)

"What are you doing?" Gibbs asked seeing Tony turned the viewing room into a dinner room seeing many plates of snacks and drinks.

"Abby called us, and asked us to record this." Tim said to the boss.

"I still say sex tape." Tony said receiving his trademark slap courtesy of Gibbs.

"With Ziva and the fox in the room?" Tim asked him incrediously.

"That fox has seen too much." Tony said to him

"Ain't that the truth." Gibbs said swiping a beer and watched.

(with Naruto)

"Tell me why." Abby said to him.

"Tell you why about what?" Naruto asked her.

"You know what I want you to tell me why about." Abby said to him.

Kurama and Ziva now looked confused.

"Abby my English is not so good, but even I can tell you that is gibberish." Ziva said as Abby kept her gaze on Naruto.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU PROPOSED TO ME!" Abby shouted finally bursting.

(with Tony)

"C'mon!" Tony said as both Tim and even Gibbs did a spit take on him.

(Vance's office)

Vance did his own spit take as he was tied into the security to all interrogation rooms and heard Abby request one, so that got his attention, he did not expect this.

(with Naruto)

"You sold me out." Naruto said looking at Kurama who smiled cunningly.

"You don't get to be angry at him this is your fault, why didn't you propose!" Abby said to him.

"She's not carrying is she?" Naruto asked Ziva.

"I don't have to answer that." Ziva said far too amused.

"You don't have to wear cuffs either but there you are." Naruto said having stolen the key a while ago.

(with Tony)

"I have got to learn how he does that." Tony said thinking out loud.

Gibbs laughed surprising the other two men "I'm laughing cause Ziva's in cuffs." he said never thinking that'd happen.

(with Naruto)

"I didn't want you to worry and wait for me, Abby I didn't know if I was gonna die and I didn't want to hurt you, I was gonna ask you out and make up for being gone so long." Naruto said seeing her calm down "You're not gonna be able to pick the lock." he said as he saw Ziva using a hair pin.

"Ask me." Abby said to him "Ask me to marry you right now." she said to him seriously.

"Can't ask if you have the ring." Naruto said pointing to her ring finger.

(with Tim)

"What is he a magician?" Tim asked no one in particular.

"No…he's a god, a god I should start worshiping." Tony said very seriously as this man had Gibbs' respect, Ziva struggling to do her normal Masad tricks, a woman like Abby wanting to marry him, and someone Tim was worshiping.

"Someone get me out of these or I will hurt all of you!" Ziva said shouting loudly.

Gibbs laughed and rolled his eyes as he left, leaving his team to the basic insanity.
