Chapter 9
Memories of a Roaring Spirit
Faith paced back and forth in front of Izuku and Henry as they sat on the couch of Henry's house. It was silent as they could only hear her pacing back and forth, contemplating on Izuku's request. Izuku waited as he let Faith process what he asked for. Henry sighed as he looked at his granddaughter.
"Faith, he's not going to get an answer from you if you keep going back and forth like this," Henry finally spoke up, breaking the silence.
Faith aggressively turned her head towards her grandfather, "And you're not shocked that he asked this kind of question?"
"Well he did say he wanted to test out his powers to me, so hearing this question isn't shocking at all," he crossed his arms.
Faith sighed in frustration as she looked at Izuku, "And you! What on earth made you think that this was a good idea?"
"Well…" Izuku was about to talk but Faith put her hand up.
"Wait, was it Raiden Mei who gave you that idea?"
Izuku shook his head, "If anything she'll probably be against it, I just thought that I should learn how to deal with Honkai Beasts,"
Faith placed a hand in her hip, "Yes I understand that but-"
"Faith I've been attacked by them three times already, who knows when they will appear again, I have to learn,"
Faith froze as she thought about it, what he said was fact, over the past weeks, he had been getting attacked by Honkai Beasts for quite a while now and it all started by that small Invasion. Faith looked at her grandfather for some guidance as he sighed.
"Well, I am in between here," Henry said.
He looked at Izuku, "My main problem is that you'll have to use that dangerous power of yours and you have no control over it which will lead to injuries," he explained.
Faith smiled, glad that her grandfather was also concerned, "But…he is right Faith, if these attacks do keep coming after him then it is only best to train him to fend for himself,"
Faith then widened her eyes as she looked at Henry, "Grandpa, please,"
Henry sighed, "How bout this Izuku, you go to school tomorrow right?"
Izuku nodded, "Yeah, my break should be over by the end of today,"
Henry nodded, "After school, come by here. I have a place to show you, Faith can come along too,"
Izuku tilted his head in confusion as he nodded, "Okay? But what does this have-"
Henry hushed the boy as he stood up and walked to the kitchen, "You'll see soon enough young man, now I think it's time to eat, after that you all can head home,"
Izuku looked at the old man as he was curious as to where he would bring him tomorrow. He got up as they all went to the dining table and ate. Faith was still skeptical about all of this as she just didn't like the idea of Izuku risking his life to fight Honkai Beasts and Honkai infected zombies.
She looked at her grandfather in confusion, she wanted to know what he was thinking and where he was going to take Izuku to.
The boy was also confused as well, he knew Fauth was worried but he couldn't just stand by and take these attacks without knowing how to defend himself.
Henry looked at the two as he sighed, he knew that this was going to cause a lot of trouble but he couldn't keep Izuku away from danger when danger kept finding its way to the boy. So he had a solution to it. He didn't say anything to the two as he wanted it to be kept a secret and also a test for Izuku.
If Izuku was so determined to fight the Honkai then he would like to see his resolve and determination. Then he would agree with him and convince Faith to teach him but for now, he kept quiet.
Izuku on the other hand wanted to know why Faith refused to let him defend himself against Honkai Beasts. Sure he knew that she wanted him to be safe and run away from the danger but he couldn't help but feel like there was some other reason as well. Izuku never bothered to ask about her past and how she became a Valkyrie.
Izuku looked at her as she had a frustrated look on her face as he sweatdropped, 'Maybe another time,' he thought to himself.
With Kiana
She sat on her bed as she thought about what happened today. Her conversation with Izuku, she was told to watch him but she couldn't help but feel bad for him. He was struggling every time his memories appeared or that was what it looked like when he talked about it.
Kiana wondered, what was his past like, what did he do and how did he get those powers. Izuku was an enigma, she wanted to know more. But she didn't want to push it too deep, she was afraid that it would spiral down if he remembered too much.
She thought about what Theresa said, that they formed a connection with him already, so she just needs to strengthen that connection and find out more about him. But she also couldn't help but wonder, why was the Herrscher inside of her so afraid and interested in Izuku. One moment she was interested and then at dinner, she was completely wary of him.
"That's because you don't know what he is,"
Kiana looked up as she saw her, the Herrscher of the Void floating above her. Sitting in mid-air as she crossed her arms and stared down at Kiana. She widened her eyes in shock because the Herrscher hadn't spoken in awhile, ever since Arc City.
"That boy… is someone that should've stayed dead,"
Kiana locked eyes with her as she slowly disappeared as she saw the Herrscher of the Void scowl as she seemed to remember something in that past.
She completely vanished as Kiana was left alone in her room, pondering on what she said about Izuku.
"She knows him?"
The question still remained unanswered but more questions appeared by the night, "Who is Izuku Forthbright,"
The Next Day
Kiana couldn't stop thinking about what she said, if she knew him then who he was. She had so many questions, a mysterious boy who appeared out of nowhere and now here she is watching him go to school. She sat on the roof as watched him greet his friend that she saved.
"Idioka, don't sleep on the job, make sure Subject Izuku doesn't get himself into trouble,"
Kiana yawned, "Yeah, yeah I know,"
"Do you?" She heard Bronya mock her as Kiana was getting irritated.
She looked at Izuku as he was sitting in class, writing down notes. Kiana looked at the school as it reminded her of the days where they were in St. Freya. Kiana missed those days as she frowned. Even though she was only a B-rank Valkyrie at the time, she was still happy with Himeko, Bronya, and Mei.
The days where she wasn't constantly fighting the monster inside her, always on the edge so she wouldn't lose control of herself.
Kiana then looked back to Izuku's class as she noticed that Izuku was looking at her. She jumped a bit as Izuku blinked at her as he gave her a subtle wave. Kiana was embarrassed that she was spotted so fast.
She then ducked down where he couldn't see her which confused Izuku.
Izuku however, was thinking about what Henry talked about, what did he want to show him? That's why Izuku looked out the window but he noticed someone standing on a building outside of his school. He looked at the top and spotted Kiana, he was shocked to find her here. He didn't know why so he just gave her a subtle wave.
This was also a chance to thank her for helping him with his sudden panic attack. But for now he focused on class.
After Class
"Izuku!" Dan sprung on him as Izuku sweatdropped at his antics.
Dan was tearing up as he looked at the boy, "Thank you soo much, I don't know what I'd do without you!"
"No problem Dan, that's what friends are for but could you do me a favor?"
"Anything old pal!" He cried out.
"Could you get off of me, you're kinda embarrassing the both of us," Izuku said as everyone was giving them the look. But Dan didn't let go, he kept his arms around Izuku.
"Don't worry, from now on, I will be by your side to the end of dawn!" He put his fist on his chest almost as if he was saluting.
Izuku sighed as he heard footsteps approaching them as he turned to see a couple of people in front of him as they all looked at him with curiosity.
"Can I help you guys?"
Dan looked at them as well as the two boys were confused.
"Is it true you faced a Honkai Beast head on?" one girl asked.
Izuku widened his eyes, "Huh? Um no I don't think so?"
"But Dan said you fought one and you saved his life,"
Izuku turned to Dan as the latter looked away from him as he whistled. Izuku was then bombarded with questions by the whole class as he was shocked to see that many people were curious about the attack.
I'm the corner of his eyes he saw Dan slowly creeping away as Izuku cursed under his breath as many people started to surround him to ask him questions.
After School
Izuku groaned as he was exhausted from the amount of questions he had to answer. Dan was laughing his ass off. Izuku just looked at him with a deadpan face.
"You're enjoying this way too much you know that,"
"Ah Come on, you're like a star in the school now think about how many girls are curious about you now," Dan said as he grinned at him.
"I think I'll pass," Izuku fastened his pace as Dan smirked.
"Is it because of that purple haired girl,"
Izuku froze as he turned to Dan who was chuckling. "You are way to obvious Izuku,"
Izuku just looked away, embarrassed as he continued to walk. "Don't you have work,"
Dan then froze as he looked at the time on his phone, "Crap! Gabriel is gonna kill me!" He then sprinted away as Izuku watched him frantically running to the cafe. Izuku chuckled a bit as he went on his way to Henry's house. He was still curious as to what Henry had in store for him.
He then stopped in front of a building as he looked up to see if Kiana was still there but no sign of her.
"Did she leave?"
He wondered, he also wondered why Kiana was at the school. He had so many questions but for now he should focus on getting to Henry's house.
In an alleyway someone was watching him as she kept a close eye on him. She had to swap with Kiana since the girl had watched him throughout the entire school period.
Fu Hua had questions as well, the last time she saw him was when…
She had a solemn look as she reminisced about the past, what happened on that day. She failed him and he was left to die, she looked at the green haired boy. The boy she remembered, she wondered if he was still there. The boy who wanted strength to save the ones he cared for. This time, she would watch him, watch her student.
10 minutes later
Izuku arrived at Henry's house as he saw Henry in a van. He blinked as the old man rolled down the window, "Hop in the passenger seat,"
"Where are we going? Izuku asked.
Henry smiled, "To the beach!" He said.
Izuku blinked in confusion as he looked at Henry dead in the eye. Waiting to see if he was joking or not.
He was not, Henry laughed at the boy, "What's that look on your face, trust me, it isn't what you think it is,"
Izuku walked around the van as he got into the passenger seat, "Are you sure, seems like you want to go on vacation,"
"I've been on retirement for 10 years kid, trust me this is far from a vacation," Henry started the van as he drove down on the street.
"Why the beach though, why does it involve me fighting Honkai Beasts?" Izuku questioned.
"You sure do ask a lot of questions, just like I have questions for you, but I'll ask them once we get there," Henry dodged the boy's questioning as Izuku looked out the window. Watching all the buildings passby.
After a while they drove out of the city as they started to see a beach but Izuku noticed something. The signs around the beach were old, way too old. They were growing moss on them and the streets leading to the beach were cracked. Izuku saw one sign, it was rusty and most of the words were scraped off but some letters were visible.
'Dago-'
Henry pulled into a parking lot as he got out, "Alright we're here,"
Izuku got out as he walked towards the beach and saw piles of concrete and garbage on the beach. His vision started to glitch a bit as he saw the same golden wisp from before.
Izuku held his head as he peered down at the sand, it was barely visible because of the amount of garbage and rubble that were on the beach.
"Why are we here, this place looks like a trash dump,"
Henry walked onto the beach, "There was a story in the old days when I was born, my father told me about a boy who cleaned up this entire beach all by himself,"
Izuku widened his eyes as he scanned the area, "This whole area…"
Henry then pointed at Izuku, "This is a test of your determination and resolve Izuku, if you really want to learn how to fight Honkai then starting today you will clean this beach, leaving nothing but the sand and the water,"
Izuku was shocked to hear this as he saw Henry walking up the steps and past him.
"Hold on, that almost impossible, there is no way I can-"
"You want to fight Honkai Beast, who do things that we human aren't capable off unless we harness Honkai energy, this is your first step Izuku, if you don't clean this beach in 10 months then you cannot learn how to fight against those monsters," Henry informed him.
Izuku gulped as he looked at the beach, he couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu. He then smacked his hands together against his face.
"Alright…"
Henry stopped as he turned to Izuku, he widened his eyes as he looked at his eyes.
"I'll clean this whole beach, just you wait and then you and Faith will teach me," Izuku declared with determination.
Henry smiled, "Alright then, I expect it to be clean in 10 months,"
With Raiden Mei
She didn't know why she was here but this ruined city was a mystery. How come she had never heard of it before, she had so many questions and the first clue she had to investigate was that apartment complex.
She walked into that same apartment from before as she looked around. She scanned the area but it was a total mess, the whole apartment was trashed and graffiti was etched on the walls. She then stepped on a picture frame.
She picked it up as she looked at it, it was a woman, but what confused her was her hair color. It was the same as Izuku's, she was a bit overweight but she had a gentle smile. Mei then noticed the picture was cut in half as it appeared someone was standing next to her as well.
She saw a part of an arm but she couldn't make out what it was. She placed the picture frame on the counter as she ventured into that same room again. The one filled with rusted posters and old figurines.
She looked at the class photo and the figurine she placed on the desk before. She examined the posters as they had the word, 'All Might'
She saw a computer that was old and dusty as she then jolted it up a bit as it started, it played a video.
"Is the world ending?! Giant meteors floating above Mustafu and the hero Deku is trying to go against this threat"
"Deku?"
The video was buzzing out as she saw a city engulfed in flames and the sky's blackened and giant meteors fell down towards the city but they were destroyed in an instant.
"These monsters known as Honkai appeared 3 years later after the fated battle against the world's greatest villain in history, and now the world's is trying to fend off against these invaders!"
Mei watched as the camera man panned over to everyone running as the sky blackened even more. Everyone stopped as they looked up in the sky in horror as they saw a meteor, the size of the moon falling on them.
"Is…this it…"
"Is this…divine punishment…?"
Then Mei saw that camera panned over to where the battle seemed to happen. A green stream of light shot up in the sky, a loud boom could be heard as it started to make the camera glitch.
Then in an instant the green stream slammed into the giant moon sized meteor and shattered it completely. The blackened sky vanished, spreading throughout Japan in an instant as the shockwave spreaded throughout the area.
Mei saw a portal appear as someone walked in and disappeared.
She heard everyone cheer as they realized they were saved, "The Greatest Hero has done it again! Saving us from crisis once again! Iz-"
The video stopped as the computer overloaded and shut downed. She placed a hand over mouth as she was thinking about what she saw in the video.
There was a whole mystery about this place, and she intended to find out and the only one who had an answer was Faith's grandfather, Henry.
The Next Day
Izuku placed a price of concrete near a pile he made as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead. He only had a small pile as he looked at the heap of trash, he sighed as he realized this was going to be a lot of work.
He woke up at 6:00 in the morning and asked Faith if he could go to the beach. Faith even mentions that they should teach Izuku how to drive since he was determined to clean the beach.
Izuku didn't pay too much mind, he was solely focused on cleaning the beach. He sat down on the pile he made as he scanned the area.
"Am I really going to do this? How did the other person do it?" Izuku drank water to refresh himself.
"Alright time to do this!" He then started to get to work.
Faith and Henry watch the boy go at it, "He's very determined," Faith pointed out.
Henry smiled, "Indeed, I can't help but feel it's not just about defending himself against the Honkai Beasts,"
Faith looked at her grandfather, "What do you mean?"
"I don't know, something tells me there is more to his request than we know," he said.
Faith looked at Izuku as he lifted a chunk of concrete off the ground and placed it on a pile.
"What could the other reason be,"
2 hours Later
Izuku laid on his desk as he was exhausted, "Woah, you alright Izuku? You look dead," Dan remarked.
Izuku looked up at him, "Yeah just, doing something for Henry,"
"Is he making you do house chores again?"
Izuku thought about it as he was kinda doing a chore but it was more than that.
"You…can say that…"
Dan raised his eyebrow as he was about to ask but was cut off when the teacher came into the room.
Izuku thought about the plan to clean the entire beach. A regiment that would help him effectively clean it.
Izuku brought a notebook and started to write it down.
'Alright, I need to finish the beach in 10 months so here is the plan:'
"6:00 am head to the beach to start cleaning until school starts.
Then after school I head to work and try to ask for less hours, that means I'll have to cut some purchases off and try to eat something that gives me more energy."
Izuku quickly jotted this all down in his notebook. He quickly came up with a regiment so that he could clean the beach quickly and effectively.
"Then after work I head to the beach again and clean some more but there are some heavy stuff, so I should workout, starting with the basic push-ups, situps, cardio, then ask if Henry has any dumbells to work out the biceps for more lifting strength or should I get a gym membership, I'll have to decide on that later,"
"Um, Mr. Forthbright?"
"I'll have to watch what I eat too, that has to be the main factor, cut how many calories I eat and buy some chicken or fish, yeah that would work,"
"Mr. Forthbright,"
"I probably have to buy some weights so that I can stay consistent and make sure I don't slack off-"
Izuku then felt a chop in his head as he snapped out of it as he quickly sprang up, he saw his teacher with a ruler.
"Finally, are you alright Mr. Forthbright? I hope the honkai beast didn't damage your brain too much," the teacher was concerned.
"Oh no I'm fine sorry for interrupting your class sir,"
"That's quite alright, please leave you thoughts in your head,"
Izuku sat back down as the teacher went to the front as he started to teach.
Some of the students were giggling at him as he was embarrassed. He curled his head down as he was trying to hide himself. But he continued to write down a plan as class went on.
After class, Izuku and Dan went to the cafe as Dan kept pestering him about what happened in homeroom period but Izuku didn't tell him anything as he was just kept in the dark.
As they walked in, Izuku was met with a bunch of customers greeting and saying welcome back. He looked at Gabriel as he shrugged. Izuku completely forgot about the gifts that they left him as he then spotted a familiar girl who was sitting by the counter.
Mei looked at him as she smiled and waved at him. He smiled and waved at her as well.
"Alright everyone, Izuku has to work, go enjoy your drinks," Gabriel dispersed the people.
"Hey Gabriel, can I ask you something," Izuku asked.
Gabriel looked at him, "Sure, what is it?"
"Can you cut my hours?" Izuku asked.
Gabriel froze as he widened his eyes, "That's weird, is something wrong? Are those attacks getting to you?"
"No it's not like that, it's just, Henry is making me do something so, I need some time to do what he's asking me," Izuku explained.
Gabriel looked at the boy as he sighed, "Alright, if that's what you want, then you can leave at 7:00 is that alright for you,"
Izuku nodded, "That's perfectly fine sir, thank you,"
Gabriel sighed as he watched Izuku walk past him and get dressed while also greeting Mei.
As Izuku got out, Mei wanted to talk to him. Gabriel noticed that the two would talk for a while now.
"So you leave at 7 now?" She asked.
Izuku nodded, "Yeah, Henry is asking me do some chores back at his place,"
Mei leaned her head on one hand, "So what would happen to our late night talks,"
Izuku froze as he didn't think this through, he would have to have a day off somewhere just to fit in that time.
"I… didn't think this through," Izuku was thinking which day should be their late night talks.
"How about every Saturday, you have no school and you can do the chores in the morning and leave the rest of the day open,"
Izuku nodded, "Yeah that can work,"
Mei smiled, "Saturday it is then,"
They continued to talk as the day went by. Izuku's shift ended as he went straight home and got dressed.
"Alright, time to do this,"
As time passed, Izuku followed his regiment, woke up at 6 and cleaned the beach. Then went to school then work then the beach again. While also working out at the beach, he found abandoned benchpress and dumbbells so he cleaned them and used them at Henry's house since he had more space.
Kiana and her team watched Izuku go in and out of the city every time as they wondered where he would go. Mei was also curious as she heard from Raven that Izuku was spotted on a beach, cleaning it. Which confused her even more.
The Hyperion
"So, Izuku has been disappearing somewhere?" Theresa questioned.
Kiana nodded, "Whenever he comes back to his apartment he's always drenched in sweat or exhausted,"
Theresa thought about this as she then turned to Fu Hua, "Do you know why he's doing this?"
"It could be because he just got attacked by Honkai Beasts recently and he's preparing himself to fend them off," Fu Hua deduced.
"That could be the case, Tesla, do you have a read on where he is right now?" Theresa asked her as Tesla finished typing on the computer.
"He doesn't really have any Honkai energy in him so it's kind of hard to track him but the energy he releases can be, that is if he activates the power," Tesla explained.
Theresa rubbed her chin, she then looked at Kiana, "You said he remembered something right Kiana?"
The girl nodded, "I think it was more of his doubts but he did hear a voice saying…why,"
"That doesn't give us any clues about who he is," Bronya said.
Theresa looked at Tesla as the woman only stared at the screen.
"Alright, we'll talk about this another time, please keep an eye out on him," They all nodded as they exited the room.
Theresa turned to Tesla, "You know who Izuku is don't you?"
Tesla stopped typing as she sighed and fixed her glasses.
"Maybe, I don't know," she said as she had a solemn expression.
"Tesla if you could tell us who he is we could help-"
"I can't, if I tell you and you help that boy then the happiness he's experiencing now will vanish!" Tesla interrupted.
Theresa looked at Tesla with shock as the scientist looked at Theresa, "It's best if that boy doesn't remember who he is,"
Tesla walked out of the room as Theresa could wonder what happened.
With Izuku
Izuku then sneezed as he rubbed his nose, "That's weird, do I have a cold?"
He then continued to lift a giant piece of rubble and tossed it on a giant pile. He dusted off his hands as he noticed that he got stronger a bit. His muscles were more defined and he felt lighter than usual.
He then looked at the rest of the trash and rubble, there were still mountains of trash and rubble as he smiled.
"Alright time to knock this out,"
Little did he know, he was being watched. A girl with white hair with piercing red eyes stared down at Izuku, the wind slightly blowing as horns could be seen on both sides.
A single tear ran down her cheek as she continued to see Izuku work.
Izuku felt someone stare at him as he looked up to find no one. He scratched his head as he continued to clean the beach. Izuku lifted up a box as something fell out of it. He stopped as he looked at it, it was a shirt, it had a face on it with yellow tufts on it. Izuku stretched the shirt out as it was dirty but he had a sense of nostalgia looking at the shirt.
"You had nothing to begin with!"
Izuku dropped the shirt as he held his head as it started to hurt again. Izuku breathed heavily as he looked at the shirt again. He frowned, wondering why a memory triggered.
He sighed as he put the shirt in the box and walked towards the steps.
With Raiden Mei
Mei sat in the cafe as she took a sip of her drink. She thought about what went on for the past week. Izuku changed his schedule and started to run off somewhere which piqued her interest but nonetheless she didn't want to pry into it unless it was serious.
She then was offered another cup as she looked up to see Gabriel hand her another cup, "You seem to be in a lot of thought,"
"Just thinking about something," she said as she continued to drink her tea.
"Are you wondering where Izuku runs off to?" Gabriel guessed.
Mei nodded, "Do you know?"
The man shrugged as he cleaned up cup, "The boy hardly tells me anything especially the day after he got discharged he had a panic attack out of nowhere,"
Mei looked at Gabriel in shock, "He did?"
The man nodded, "It was very strange, he then sprinted out of the cafe in a panic, I tried to change him but he was gone before I could do anything,"
Mei listened intently, trying to find out more, "I tried to look for him until I did spot him but he was with someone else,"
"Was it Faith?" She asked.
Gabriel shook his head, "No I couldn't see their face but they did have an orange hoodie on, and I think I saw some white hair to,"
Mei froze as she looked at him as she then looked at her cup, 'So they know too,'
It was expected as she did see them during that small Invasion.
"Thanks for the drink, Gabriel,"
The man smiled, "No problem, stay safe out there,"
She nodded as she headed out of the cafe, "So Kiana and the others are on to him as well,"
Mei was relieved, she didn't want the World Serpent to capture him. She did hope that the Hyperion would catch on even though they are wanted.
She walked away from the cafe as she kept thinking about the mission. She was slowly getting close to Izuku, and she slowly started to find more about him but he has yet to share any crucial memories that lead to who he is.
She looked at the time as it was 8:00pm the streets were still filled with people as she kept looking at her phone. She was about to call Raven to see if she had received anything on her end until. She felt something come at her.
She turned to an alleyway, it was dark so she couldn't see. Then in a swift moment she saw something yellow in the alley and it had strings pulling upright as if someone was controlling a puppet.
With Kiana
Kian ventured on the streets as she had her hoodie, making sure she wasn't spotted. She watched as people passed by, not paying any mind to her. She looked at each shop as she couldn't help but remember again, the time she spent with her friend before her capture.
They were all so happy, Kiana struggled to keep her composure. Everyday she wished that things would go back to normal but it just couldn't. Watching Izuku had sparked so many memories and she envied Izuku, enjoying things with his friends, not having to worry about losing control over yourself.
The battle inside her head, and who she really was, just another clone of the deceased 'Kiana'
She hated the way she was thinking right now but was all she could think of. She sighed as she looked up into the sky, but she saw sparks appear on top of a building. She squinted her eyes as she saw red lightning appear.
Kiana recognized that lightning anywhere as she then went into the alleyway and ran up the building.
As she got to the top she saw Mei standing right in front of her. But she was facing… a puppet?
Mei turned her head as soon as she heard someone climb up. The two stared at each other for quite some time until the puppet interrupted them.
"Aw what a precious moment between you two~ Raiden Mei and Kiana Kaslana,"
Mei focused on the puppet as she pointed her sword at the thing, "What are you and why are you here," she questioned.
The puppet laughed, "That's a dumb question, the same as both of you really,"
Kiana was wondering what was going on as she pulled out her pistols and got next to Mei to back her up.
"The same as both of us?" Kiana asked.
The puppet put her hand out, "Izuku, was that his name?"
The two widened their eyes as soon as the puppet spoke of his name, "Ah yes him, the anomaly that suddenly appeared out of the blue,"
"What do you want with him," Mei asked.
"Curious are we now Herrscher of Thunder, no matter, Izuku will die, the Honkai will make sure of that,"
The two then charged at the puppet as they were about to land their attacks. The puppet laughed, "You only delay the inevitable you two,"
They destroyed the puppet in an instant as they skidded. They looked at it as the string that was puppeteering was gone.
Mei sheathed her blade and was about to leave.
"Wait Mei-senpai!"
She froze as she turned to face Kiana. They looked at each other for a while as Kiana clenched her fists.
"Why won't you come back?"
Mei looked at her as she grabbed her arm and looked away, "I can't, and beside this isn't the time,"
Kiana widened her eyes as she gritted her teeth, "We haven't seen each other in awhile and you already want to leave again!"
Mei bit a part of her lip as she tried to ignore Kiana but it was hard for her.
"Answer me Mei-senpai!"
"Because I'm not strong enough yet!" She shouted at Kiana.
Kiana widened her eyes, "What…?"
"I'm not strong enough to protect you, I don't want to see you hurt again, I refuse to see that!" she looked at her hand as electricity surged out.
"Mei-senpai…"
Mei then turned as she was about to walk off the edge. She looked at Kiana one last time, "Right now…Kiana-chan… I'm not ready to come back yet…" she then jumped and vanished.
Kiana tried to reach out for her but she retracted her hand, "No…Mei-senpai, I wasn't strong enough," a single tear ran down her cheek.
Schicksal HQ
Otto appeared once more in front of Shigaraki, "So Tomura Shigaraki, have you thought about your answer,"
Shigaraki looked at the man with spite as he then instantly decaying the capsule he was in. The guards quickly went into a stance but Otto lifted his hand up, halting them.
Shigaraki walked up to Otto as the man had no fear. Shigaraki then stuck his hand out, "Fine, but if I sense any ill will against me, I'll turn everything around us into dust,"
Otto smiled but he didn't take his hand, "Wonderful, don't worry Tomura Shigaraki, we will release you full potential,"
Otto's grin was plastered on his face, his dream, his plan was now in motion.
4 months later
Henry drove out to check on the progress, it was a Sunday as he usually did his check ups. He noticed how Izuku progressed and how his muscles were more defined now.
Faith usually came with him but something came up so he went to go check on Izuku. As he arrived he yawned since it was 6:30 in the morning.
He locked the door to the van has he was heading to the beach he heard a roar of triumph.
"AAAAAAAAH!"
That woke Henry up as he ran up to the beach as he widened his eyes in shock. The entire beach, not a single speck of trash or rubble was left. He then saw Izuku standing on a pile of rubble and trash that he cleaned up. On top of the pile was a rusted truck. He stood on top of it as he roared in the air, shirtless. Drenched in sweat.
The sun rose as the beach glistened in all its glory. The ocean was clear to see now.
