CLASS 1-B
U.A. High School Hallway- Afternoon
Ren was currently in the hallway with Aizawa after calling him out to decide something.
"Is there a reason you call me out like this, Mr. Aizawa?" Ren asked his homeroom.
"Yes, I need you to head to class 1-B," Aizawa said confusing the boy.
"Why?" Ren asked with a raised brow.
"Vlad asked for you to come to his class after they got done with the orientation ceremony." Aizawa said.
"I see, but that doesn't still answer my question." Ren said trying to see his point.
"I was getting to that. He'll also be holding his own quirk assessment test with his class to assist their abilities, and he wants you to join them in the test as well." Aizawa said to him.
Ren was about to say something until Holo-Tommy spoke.
"Oh, I see what he's doing," Holo-Tommy said to him. "Vlad King wants Ren to show off his abilities to class 1-B, so it can motivate them to do better." He said seeing Aizawa and Vlad reason.
"Exactly." He nodded in agreement. "Having a quirkless boy outperform the other students will make them push themselves even harder to be better heroes. Not only is it effective but rational too." Aizawa said.
"I noticed that you like to use the word rational a lot." Ren pointed out.
"Get used to it problem child, cause all be using it to motivate all of you into better heroes," Aizawa said with a devilish smile.
"I see, if that's the case then I'll do it." Ren said with a nod.
He doesn't like to show off, but if it's to help create better heroes then he can make an acceptance this once.
"Good, then I'll see you tomorrow," Aizawa said before turning the other way to leave. "Be prepared, your real training starts tomorrow." He said while walking away.
"You should have to Kodai's class," Holo-Tommy said to his student.
"Got it." Ren said making his way to class 1-B.
U.A. High School Classroom 1-B- Afternoon
"Alright everyone in your seats and be quiet, I have an announcement." Vlad King said in front of his class, standing behind a podium.
The Class 1-B students were now in their seats, waiting for what their teacher was going to say.
"Okay, now that the orientation ceremony is over, we'll be heading outside to do a qui-" He didn't finish his sentence when someone knocked on the door.
The whole class turned their attention to the door to see what was going on.
"Oh, right. It must be Amamiya." Vlad said heading to the door, opening it to reveal Ren standing there.
"Amamiya, it's good to see you here." Vlad King said to the Rangers.
"You too Mr. Vlad," Ren said to him. "Mr. Aizawa informed me on why I'm here."
"And I'm happy that you're here." Vlad King said to him. "Having you here will motivate my class to do better. So be sure not to hold anything back, okay?" He whispered the last part so no one could hear him.
Ren nodded to him in agreement, understanding his plan.
"Great, now come in." The blood hero moving aside.
Ren walked into the classroom, He saw the sight of 20 students from the other Hero Course class. They were like his classmates but with different personalities and quirks.
Ren can feel the stares of the other students on him as he looks back at them and sees two familiar faces in the classroom.
Yui and that Kendo girl from the entrance exam.
Yui nodded happily to see him and Kendo just gave him a quick wave with a smile on her.
Ren nodded back to them in acknowledgment and checked out the rest of the class 1-B students.
The first student was Yosetsu Awase.
He is a boy with has long black hair, spiked upwards and backward to his left, and rounded gray eyes, tilted inwards. He wears a wide, zig-zag patterned headband around his forehead, pulled down quite low, to keep his hair out of his eyes.
The second student was Sen Kaibara.
He is a young man of medium height with dark, shaggy hair, and dark eyes, which are rather thin and lazy-looking. He seems to have a modest athletic build, the same as most of his classmates, and a slight tan.
The third student was Togaru Kamakiri.
He is a tall, slender young man with pale yellow-green skin and a bright, fluffy green mohawk. His dark green eyes are pointed downwards to the center of his face, and two hooked blades jut out from either of his cheeks. He has no visible nose, and the shape of his head resembles that of an insect with mandibles.
The fourth student was Shihai Kuroiro.
He is a tall young man with fluffy white hair and black eyes, which are long and thin in shape. His most prominent feature is his pitch black skin, its unusual color most likely due to the Quirk he possesses, and his face usually holds an unsure or irritated expression.
The fifth student was Kinoko Komori.
She is a short girl of a rather thin build, with honey brown hair, curved inwards in a mushroom-shaped bob that reaches just below her narrow shoulders. She has a long fringe that completely covers her eyes, hiding most of her face, and her mouth is notably large. Unobscured, her eyes are wide and rather cat-like; tilted inwards with rather long lower eyelashes, and her irises are a warm brown color. Kinoko's pupils are little black crosses, both together highly resembling the caps of cross-sliced shiitake mushrooms.
The sixth student was Ibara Shiozaki.
She is a girl of medium height with green, thorn-covered vines for hair, one set wrapped around her forehead a couple of times in the shape of a cross. Because of her Quirk, she can grow them at will but she likes to keep her vines at a reasonably manageable length: just above her waist. Her eyes are squinted and dark green with long lower eyelashes.
The seventh student was Jurota Shishida.
He is a tall young man with a very beastly appearance. He has shaggy, brown, hair, covering most of his body. He has sharp teeth and his large jaw sticks out a fair amount, with two of his lower canines poking upwards from between his lips. He also wears small, rectangular glasses with thick lenses.
The eighth student was Nirengeki Shoda.
He is a chubby young man of average height, with short, ice-blue hair and a round face. He has large, wide eyes with small pupils, and is usually seen looking a little sheepish and apologetic; his eyebrows are almost always pointed upwards.
The ninth student was Pony Tsunotori.
She is a short girl with a round face and a short equine muzzle, her face framed by thick, wavy blonde hair which reaches halfway down her back, some shorter bangs hanging down her forehead. Her eyes are large and round, Prussian blue in color, and she has a pair of tall, lyre-shaped pale tan horns on her head. Her calves are notably rounded, shaped similarly to those of a horse, and she has brown hooves for feet, and a short horse tail poking out from the end of her tailbone.
The tenth student was Kosei Tsuburaba.
He is a young man with short brown hair, spiked up at odd angles on his head. His eyes are oval-shaped, along with his large pupils.
The eleventh student was Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.
He is a young man with quite long, chin length, messy gray hair which is rather peculiar in that it never seems to change shape, and black eyes which are tilted dramatically inwards, each lined with a very thick, jagged, tan-colored substance, which are presumably his eyelashes. He doesn't appear to have any notable eyebrows, and he has rows of sharp, pointed teeth.
The twelfth student was Setsuna Tokage.
She is a young girl of average height who has surprisingly large, upturned dusky green eyes with long lower eyelashes, and notably long and pointed teeth. Her hair is a dark moss green, collectively reaching just below her shoulders aside from a short clump that hangs in the centre of her forehead, and it grows wavier and thinner the lower down it gets.
The thirteenth student was Manga Fukidashi.
He is a very short young man with fair skin and a blank, pale-white speech bubble as a head and neck which can change shape and display his thoughts in written form.
The fourteenth student was Juzo Honenuki.
He is a pale-skinned young man with angular eyes, mid-length spiked hair of beige color, a flat nose and small eyebrows. His most unusual feature is his teeth, which sit on the outside of his skin. He has no discernible lips, giving him a skull-like appearance, though this is not related to his Quirk in any readily apparent way.
The fifthteenth student was Kojiro Bondo.
He is a tall young man who is large and muscular in stature, possessing very wide shoulders in comparison to his slender waist and unusually sizeable hands. His skin is a yellow straw-like color, and his head is shaped somewhat like a glue-dispenser with a lappet on top, along with seven "eye-holes" on his face from which he can release his Quirk.
The sixteenth student was Neito Monoma.
He is a young man of average height with slick blond hair, which gets shorter the further down his head it goes, styled so that it's parted to the right, his bangs left hanging over his right eye. His irises are a periwinkle purple, his pupils white and his eyes are shaped so that they're slanting downwards towards the far sides of his face, usually left half-closed, this, along with his signature smirk and head tilt, giving him a rather contemptuous look.
The seventeenth student was Reiko Yanagi.
She is a young girl that has a chin-length, pale gray hair, parted to the left, hanging down over her eye and obscuring the majority of the left side of her face. She has dark bags under her blue eyes, and a small mouth with full lips. Her hands are usually held up as high as her elbows, with her hands draped down, this gesture being somewhat connotative of a ghost.
And the final student was Hiryu Rin.
He is a young man that has lightly tanned skin and black hair, reaching roughly down to his shoulders, which he wears in a low braid. His eyes are shaped like those of a reptile, and his irises are notably small.
After gazing up the all the class 1-B, Ren took his place right next to Vlad King as the blood hero made his way back to his podium, and began to speak again.
"Now like I was saying, we'll be heading outside to do a Quirk Assessment Test." Vlad King said as some of the students groaned in annoyance that they had to take a test on their first day of school. "Don't complain! This is U.A.'s Hero Course for a reason! We will be throwing the lot of you a number of tests over the next three years! And if it's too hard for you to handle, then you can just leave right now! I want to waste my time training slackers!" He said to his class.
That seemed to have made the entire class quiet.
"This guy is just like Aizawa, but not as bad." Holo-Tommy thought.
"Um, excuse me, sir. I have a question." Awase asked with his hand slightly raised.
"What is it, Awase?" Vlad asked.
"Who is that guy over there?" Awase said pointing at Ren. "He's just been standing there without saying a word."
He wasn't the only one. Everyone except Kendo and Yui was wondering the exact same thing.
"Right, why don't you introduce yourself, Amamiya." Vlad King said to the Rangers.
Ren nodded to him in response before speaking. "My name is Ren Amamiya. I'm from class 1-A."
This made most of the students gasp in surprise at the reveal as they recognized his name.
"Ren Amamiya?! As in the dude who got first in the entrance exam?!" Tetsutetsu shouted out loud.
"Wow! So that's what he looks like?!" Sen said with widened eyes.
"Please, he doesn't look so tough," Monoma said in a non-impressed tone.
"I bet he thinks he's hot shit, just because he placed first on the exam." Kamakiri said in an arrogant tone.
Some of the class were impressed by Ren, while some didn't look that impressed.
Ren just sighed to himself from the negative comments that some of them were making. He just wanted to go home and play his games already.
"Enough!" Vlad King said quieting his class. "Yes, Amamiya was the one who scored the most points on the exam. And the reason why I asked him here is so he can take part in our quirk assessment test too."
This confused the students. They didn't understand why a student from another class was doing a test with them.
"Anyway, the people that you see around you will be your classmates for the next three years! You better get along with each other! No petty grudges or squabbles will be tolerated here! Do you understand?!" Vlad said in a superior tone.
"Yes, sir!" The entire class said.
"And I thought Mr. Aizawa was a hardass." Ren thought to himself.
"Good that you all understand." Vlad King chuckled to himself. "Now then, it's best we all introduced ourselves for a start. We'll go by your seat numbers from 1 to 20, as you introduce yourself. State your full name, and what your quirk does, alongside one fact about yourself. It can be about anything."
"Introduce is the best way to get to know the people you'll be working with for the next few years." Holo-Tommy agreed with the blood hero.
Vlad King then took a deep breath. "I'll start first. My name is the Blood Hero: Vlad King, but my real name is Sekijiro Kan! My quirk is Blood Control, which allows me to manipulate my own blood and use it any way I see fit. My hero costume also allows me to reabsorb my blood so I don't lose any when I use it." He said to his students.
The class stared in awe at the powerful description of their teacher's quirk.
"Not a half bad power if you ask me." Holo-Tommy thought.
Vlad King put his hand on his chin for a moment. "... I also own a dog. Amamiya, your next!"
"Me?" Ren asked in confusion. "But I already introduced myself."
"You didn't tell them everything. Now go on already." Vlad ordered him.
Ren just sighed to himself and reintroduced himself again.
"My name is Ren Amamiya, and I'm quirkless." He said making everyone in the room gasp in surprise except Yui, Kendo, and Vlad King.
"Hold up a minute! Your quirkless?!" Setsuna asked.
"Yes," Ren said in a nod.
Then out of nowhere, Monoma started to burst out laughing which got everyone's attention. "Hahaha! Your kidding me, right?! You're telling me that the great class 1-A has a quirkless flunky in their ranges!"
Ren immediately narrows his eyes at the blonde boy and can already tell the type of person he is.
Even Holo-Tommy was disappointed by this boy's attitude.
"I can already tell, I'm not going to like this guy." Ren thought in annoyance.
"Wow, Monoma! Not cool man." Rin said to him.
"Monoma! That was completely uncalled for!" Kendo scolded the boy.
"Yeah, just lay off of him," Kuroiro added in.
Yui was pretty heated about Monoma's comment as well.
"What's there to lay off of? The guy's quirkless. If he managed to get in with no powers, I bet the rest of class 1-A are just as weak as him." Monoma continued his insults.
"Monoma! What did I just say abo-" Vlad was about to say to the smug blonde until Ren raised his arm out to stop the teacher.
"Monoma was it? You know, you should never judge a book by its cover?" Ren said in a calm tone.
"What's there to judge? You've got no damn quirk! And you somehow managed to pass and place first in the exam. I'm pretty sure you probably cheated your way in like the weakly you are." Monoma said with a smug expression on his face.
Ren just about had enough of this guy's mouth. He reminded him of Bakugo but not as badly.
"This just goes to show that class 1-B is superior to cl-" Monoma was about to say something until he interrupted with a blaster pointed at his head.
It was Ren who used his super speed to get close to Monoma without anyone realizing it and summoned the Thundermax Blaster as it was pointed at the blonde's forehead.
The entire class except for Yui and Vlad King was caught off guard by the quirkless boy's actions, as they didn't even notice him move or pull out a blaster.
Monoma was now frozen with a nervous expression as Ren was giving him a cold gaze.
"I'm only going to say this once. So shut up and listen. Got it?" Ren told him in a cold tone.
Monoma just nodded slowly in response as he was sweating nervously, not wanting to provoke the quirkless boy.
"Being a hero is not a fucking game, and it shouldn't be a competition either." Ren said in a cold tone to get his point across. "And if you still believe something like that then I suggest you leave the Hero Course right now. Because I'm pretty sure that there's someone in General Studies, who would be more suitable in the Hero Course than a childish idiot like you with an inferiority complex."
The other class 1-B gasped at the serious and cold tone in the Ranger's voice.
"Would it be true I don't have anything powers like everyone else in U.A. But still managed to get into this school with hard work and maximize effort." Ren said removing the blaster from Monoma's head. "And if you don't believe me, you can ask Mr. Vlad to confirm the truth."
When he said that the whole class turned to their homeroom teacher for an answer.
"The staff at U.A. has already confirmed that Amamiya didn't cheat on the exam. He took the same test as all of you and passed it with flying colors." Vlad said to his students.
"It's true." Kendo said getting the class's attention. "I was in the same battle center as Ren. I saw him fight, and believe me when I say that he is the last person you want to mass with."
"Kendo, you can't be serious, right?" Monoma said in disbelief.
"I am serious you idiot," Kendo said grinning at him intently. "From out of everyone here, I believe that Ren is the closest to us to being a hero. More than myself and you, Monoma." She said in a serious tone, which surprised the class and stunned Monoma.
Ren couldn't help but be impressed by the girl's honesty, even if he never thought like that.
Then out of nowhere, the Master Morpher glowed bright yellow for a moment before fading away. Ren noticed this as his eyes slightly widened in disbelief.
"Kendo?! No way?!" Ren thought in surprise.
"She's been chosen." Holo-Tommy thought the same as he was smiling.
"Excuse me, Amamiya?" Shishida said getting Ren out of his thoughts. "But can I ask you a question?"
"Sure. What is it?" Ren response.
"How did you even manage to get into U.A. without powers?" Shishida asked the Ranger. "It's not that I don't doubt you or anything. But you tell us will make things much more clear for us to understand."
"Yeah, give us the low down man," Kosei said.
"I'm also curious to know myself." Shiozaki said out loud.
Then the whole class joined in asking Ren about how he passed the exam without a quirk, except Yui and Kendo.
Ren just looked at the class 1-B teacher wanting to get an answer from him. Vlad King noticed his look and could tell what he meant. Then Vlad King nodded in response for Ren to show off his Ranger abilities.
"It would be easier to show you than rather explain." Ren said moving back to the front of the class, facing them.
"What do you mean to show us?" Shoda asked in confusion.
"You'll see." Ren said raising his left arm and the Master Morpher switched to the Rescue Morpher, which surprised the class. "Some of you may not remember this, but let me refresh your memories."
"Lightspeed Rescue!" Ren shouted while activating his Morpher as in a flash of light, he changed into the Red Lightspeed Ranger.
Upon seeing the outfit, all the class 1-B students except Yui and Kendo's jaws dropped in disbelief as it was starting to come back to them. Ren Amamiya was the same quirkless boy who defeated the sludge villain.
"Holy hell! It's him!" Juzo said in surprise.
"H-H-He's the one w-who beat the s-s-sludge villain!" Kinoko shouted with her bangs showing her widened eyes.
"No way," Reiko muttered in awe.
"No wonder he got first place!" Manga said with the writing on his bubble head.
"Dude..." Bondo said in awe.
"That's so cool! How did he make that costume appear?!" Pony asked in excitement.
Togaru scoffed under his breath as he clearly underestimated the quirkless Ranger.
Ren then took off his helmet and held it under his right arm as he was going to speak to the class again. "Like I was saying before I was interrupted by a certain dumbass." He referred to Monoma, who in return glares at the Ranger in jealousy and anger. "My name is Ren Amamiya, and I'm quirkless. I'm a gamer, that loves to play video games. I'm also a Power Ranger and the leader of the Power Rangers Hero Force." He said powering down with his Rangers outfit was disappointing. "I come to U.A. to become the first ever quirkless hero."
Every one of the class 1-B students was amazed by Ren's determination in his goal to be a quirkless hero. Soon all the dough everyone had about him suddenly vanished as they saw Ren in a new light, except Monoma and Kamakiri.
"What's a Power Ranger?" Kosei asked him.
"You can say they are a special type of heroes." Ren said not wanting to reveal too much information.
"Please, like you can be a hero without a quirk." Monoma said in a mocking tone until he was knocked out by a giant hand.
"Show some respect, Monoma!" Kendo angrily said.
"Scary!" The whole class thought.
"That's pretty much it. I look forward to working with all of you in the future." Ren said doing a quick short bow.
"Thank you, Amamiya." Vlad King said before looking at Awase. "Awase, your next. And remember to go in order by your seat numbers."
With that said, the headband boy then stood up from his seat.
"Sup? I'm Awase Yosetsu. My quirk is Weld. It allows me to fuse objects together at the atomic level. I'll just give you a generic answer and say I like training." Awase said with a smile before sitting down.
"Interesting power this kid has." Holo-Tommy thought.
"My name is Sen Kaibara. My quirk, Gyrate, allows me to vibrate any part of my body like a drill." To demonstrate, he lifted his finger and it started to violently swirl in place. "I also like film theory and photography." He said before sitting.
"His quirk remains me of Conner, Shelby, and my Dino Zords." Holo-Tommy thought remembering their Zords drill attacks.
"Names, Togaru Kamakiri." His eyes were slits, surveying over everyone. He seemed to look at Ren the longest, making him raise an eyebrow. "My quirk is Razor Sharp. It lets me produce blades from any part of my body." He demonstrated this by producing a pocket knife blade from his palm. "As for my fact, I will do anything for battle. Battle in heroism is a matter of life and death, for both civilians and heroes, and I have prepared for that. Knowing this, I believe... no I know-" Kamakiri gritted his teeth and glared at all of them. "-that you all don't have what it takes to be here!"
"What was that?!" Most of the class said in an uproar.
Ren just facepalm at what Kamakiri said. "Why did he just say that?"
"This kid has a good power, but needs to work on his arrogance." Holo-Tommy thought in disappointment as he was showing the same signs as Bakugo's attitude.
Kamakiri didn't mind the backlash of his comment as he sat back down in his seat and was glaring at Ren.
"Quiet down!" Vlad King barked as the class quieted down and he signed in resignation. "And just when I told you I don't tolerate any petty squabbles..." He said glaring at Kamakiri before waving it off. "Next person."
Kuroiro then stood up next. "I'm Shihai Kuroiro. My quirk, Black, allows me to merge into anything that is the color black." He said giving the class a chilling grin. "I also enjoy finding out anything anything that is forbidden or secret. So watch out~"
The class shuddered at the creepy conclusion as Kuroiro sat back in his chair.
"Kuroiro's quirk is really impressive. And he reminds me of Tokoyami a bit." Holo-Tommy thought in interest.
"Hi everyone! My name is Kendo Itsuka! My quirk is Big Fist, which allows me to enlarge the muscles in my hands for more power. I also like martial arts, if that wasn't obvious from my quirk." Kendo said with a polite tone.
"A martial artist, interesting. No wonder she was chosen by the Master Morpher." Holo-Tommy thought that Kendo would make a good Power Ranger, as Yui was next to speak.
"I am Yui Kodai. My quirk is Size, which lets me change the size of any abiotic object. I don't really have much to say about myself." Yui said pretty quickly as if she wanted to just get this over with.
"That's Kodai for you." Holo-Tommy thought about his student.
"I am also a Power Ranger like Ren and a member of the Hero Force Rangers." Yui said making her classmates surprised.
"Wow, Yui! You're one of those Ranger guys?!" Tetsutetsu asked in surprise.
"Mm." Yui nodded.
"It's true." Ren said getting the class's attention. "Yui is one of us."
"Whoa, already on a first-name basis ~" Setsuna said with a toothy grin.
"Me and her went to the same middle school, so yeah," Ren said ignoring the girl's teasing. "Yui show them." He said to her.
Yui nodded to him in response and bought out her Overdrive Tracker.
"Overdrive, Accelerate!" Yui shouted, activating the Morpher by spinning the tracker wheel on her body. Then in a flash of light, Yui was the Red Overdrive Ranger.
This shocked the students in the room, except Ren and Kendo.
"Holy crap! She can do that too?!" Rin said.
"Yeah, but the costume is different than the one Amamiya had on." Shoda pointed out.
"Lookin good in spandex, Kodai." Setsuna said to her.
"Are there more of you Power Rangers?" Shiozaki asked him.
"Yeah, there's a lot of us. But the only Hero Force Ranger members we have right now are me, Yui, and two others in my class." Ren said to her.
"Hold on. You're saying you have two more members on your team and they are in 1-A?" Juzo asked to get a nod from Ren.
Everyone in the class was now interested in seeing the other two Hero Force Members that Ren was talking to.
"So she's one of them." Monoma thought with his hand on his chin. Then gives an evil smile as he is thinking of having Yui get some useful information on class 1-A, so he and the rest of his class can use it against them. "If I play my card right, we can upstage class 1-A for good. And Kodai will be our ace in the hole."
Yui then powered down from her Ranger form and sat back in her chair, happy that it was finally over.
"Hey, Kodai." Reiko said to the quiet girl as Yui looked her way. "That outfit of you're looked really cool on you." She said to her with a tiny smile.
"Thanks, Yanagi." Yui said back to her before looking forward.
Kinoko was the next one to stand. "My name is Kinoko Komori. My quirk..." She seemed reluctant to say anything about her power. "is M-Mushroom. I-It allows me to grow mushrooms, which is good since I h-happen to also like m-mushrooms." Kinoko shyly said with a bow before returning back to her chair.
"The shy type just like Midoriya. But a very unique power." Holo-Tommy thought about Kinoko's mushroom power.
"I am Ibara Shiozaki. My quirk is Vines, allowing me to grow vines on the top of my head to attack. I am also a proud Christian." Shiozaki said with her hands together, right before sitting down.
"Her quirk reminds me of Xander Earth magic." Holo-Tommy thought remembering the Green Mystic Ranger.
"Looks like it's my turn." The beast like a student said while standing up. "My name is Jurota Shishida. My quirk, Beast, permits me to alter myself into a beast version of myself. I find perusing the dictionary relaxing, and I endeavor to elevator my relationship with you all." Shishida said pushing back his glasses before sitting.
"He just like Billy in some ways." Holo-Tommy thought.
"I am Nirengeki Shoda. My quirk, Twin Impact, allows me to remotely land A second hit several times greater than the first at any time. I also like boxing." He said before taking a seat.
"A quirk that lets a second attack do even more damage? That's one hell of an ability Shoda got." Holo-Tommy thought in surprise.
"H-Hi. My name is Pony Tsunotori! Birthday April 1st! I'm a transfer student from America, with my home state being Texas!" Pony spoke with an obvious accent. She then pointed to the horns on her head. "My quirk is Horn Cannon! Horns launch from my head!" Her smile turned more bashful. "I love reading manga and watching anime! My Japanese isn't that good since I'm from America. Please help me learn better!" She ended her introduction with a bow and returned to her seat.
"A foreign student? Let's hope she fits in with the other students." Holo-Tommy thought about the horse-like girl.
"From what I heard, your doing just fine. But a little help wouldn't hurt either." Ren said speaking in English surprising Pony along with the rest of the class.
"You can speak English too?!" Pony asked in surprise, switching back to her native language.
"Yeah, my dad thought me with him being American himself." Ren said with a smile.
"You half American?! That's so cool!" Pony said with a bright smile. "Do you wanna be friends with me?!"
"Sure, I don't see why not my new friend," Ren said making the horn girl smile with a blush on her face since she could talk to someone in her native language.
"Does anyone have any idea what they're saying?" Tetsutetsu asked his classmate.
"No." Most of them said they were unable to understand their conversation.
"If you two are done..." Vlad King said in a stern voice, which got both Pony and Ren looking his way. "I would like to continue introducing now."
"Right, sorry about that sir." Ren said rubbing his neck.
"I'm sorry too!" Pony said speaking in Japanese again.
"Whatever... anyway who's next?" Vlad asked his students.
"That would be me, teach," Kosei said with his hand up before standing. "Hey, all! My name's Kosei Tsuburaba! My quirk is Solid Air, which allows me to solidify the air that comes from my lungs! I like old-school superhero movies and games." He then smiled mischievously. "I also happen to be better at Street Fighter than Tetsutetsu."
"You wanna go, asshole?!" Tetsutetsu yelled out as he stood up from his chair. "I'll shove a Shoryuken so far up your ass it'll come out through your mouth!"
Ren just slightly chuckles at this, as it was familiar with him playing against other gamers too.
"Teenagers." Holo-Tommy thought with a sigh as he remembered his teenage days.
"Enough!" Vlad King apparently had enough of the argument. "Just sit back in your seat, Tsuburaba! Tetsutetsu, your next!"
Kosei stuck his tongue out to Tetsutetsu as he sent an angry glare his way.
"Hey everyone, I'm Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu! I know my name repeats so shut up and don't ask. My quirk is Steel and it does what it says!" Tetsutetsu raised his arm up and it immediately became shiny metal. His smile became fiercer. "And I'm better than Tsuburaba at Super Smash Bros!"
"Fuck you!" Kosei emphasized his sophisticated statement by flipping him the bird, to which Tetsutetsu responded likewise. Vlad King glared at them so they didn't do anything else afterward.
"Hahaha...!" Ren laughed at the exchange, as he was having a flashback of the times he was at the arcade with people lost at fighting games.
"Again, Teenagers." Holo-Tommy thought laughter.
"Sup, everyone? My name is Tokage Setsuna. My quirk, Lizard Tail Splitter, allows me to split my body into various different parts and make them float around." She said splitting her arms apart in pieces before putting them back together. "I'm a recommended student, so I hope you all can get along with me," Setsuna said with a grin on her face before taking a seat.
"Wow, what an interesting power she's got. It reminds me of that Nighlok, Splitface." Holo-Tommy thought.
Manga then stood up to introduce himself next. "Hello, everyone. My name is Manga Fukidashi, and my quirk is Comic, which allows me to materialize words in midair by speaking them and manifest the effects of the phenomenon that the sound suggests." He said writing it in his head bubble. "I like manga, anime, and playing with children." He then sat back down.
"Weird quirk, but pretty cool," Holo-Tommy thought.
"My name is Juzo Honenuki. My quirk, Softening, allows me to soften any non-living surface." Juzo smiled at everyone before saying. "I'm also a recommended student and hoping to get along with everyone here."
"Another recommended student with a good power." Holo-Tommy thought in amaze.
"My name is Bondo Kojiro. My quirk, Cemedine, allows me to spray a glue-like substance from the holes in my head. I also like building and collecting small-scale models." He said bowing to the others and sitting back in his chair.
"His quirk seems pretty good for capturing villains." Holo-Tommy thought.
Monoma stood up next with a cocky grin on his face. "The name's Neito Monoma. My quirk is Copy, which allows me to use other people's quirks through physical contact. I also like French food." He said sitting down.
"A copy quirk? That's a useful power to have." Holo-Tommy thought it amazing, even if Monoma can be annoying at times.
"My name... is Reiko Yanagi. My quirk Poltergeist... allows me to telepathically move objects close to me. I happen to like anything supernatural." Reiko said all of this in a lethargic tone as if she was ready to fall asleep on the spot.
"She's a real ghost girl already." Holo-Tommy thought with a chuckle.
The last one to introduce themselves was Rin. "My name is Rin Hiryu. My quirk, Scales, allows me to grow scales alongside my body for defense and launch them as projectiles for offense. Though I moved here from China in elementary school, there is still a lot I would like to learn about Japanese culture." He bowed before sitting.
"He can grow scales from his body, and use it for both offense and defense. He would make an excellent pro someday." Holo-Tommy thought in interest.
With that, all the students had introduced themselves in some form or another. Vlad King cleared his throat.
"Now that we got that out of the way, put these on!" He rummaged through the pack on his back and pulled out a bunch of U.A. gym uniforms. "We're going to do the quirk assessment test to see what you greenies are made of! Your trials in the Hero Course started now!"
Then Vlad King left the classroom to head to the P.E. Grounds. The students except Ren, grabbed the gym uniforms one by one and went to the locker rooms to change.
U.A. High School P.E. Grounds- Morning
10 minutes later, the 20 class 1-B students along with Ren who was standing next to Yui, Pony, and Kendo, found themselves outside in the spring air, in a field with their gym uniform on.
Vlad King was waiting for them on the eastern side of the racetrack, standing next to a large water cooler and holding a thick metal storage clipboard in his hands. Even though a few of his students had scowl on their faces, and how they would rise to the challenges before them.
"Good afternoon, class 1-B!" Vlad King shouted out loud. "Today, you will be doing a quirk assessment test from now until the end of school, or until we finish, whichever comes first. Now, who here can tell me the purpose of these tests?" He was met with silence, which to be fair, he expected. This was their first day of school after all.
But... a gentle prod in the right direction wouldn't hurt them any.
Several students raised their hands in response to his antagonism. Four hands in been raised, but only one of them looked confident enough to be awesome. Vlad turned his attention to Kendo who was one of the students with her hand up.
"Yes, Kendo? What's your guess?" Vlad King asked the girl.
Kendo replied with her teal eyes full the relaxed kind confidence. "To see how well we can utilize our quirks within certain parameters, and to test our creativity under those situations." She said to her teacher.
"Smart girl. Couldn't have said it any better myself." Ren thought in amazed at the girl. "But you left one thing out..."
Vlad King nodded in approval. "I like the way you think, Kendo. Excellent answer. However," He turned his attention back to the class. "There is one more equally important variable we are testing here today: your limitations. Without knowing them, you can never improve yourselves from where you are right now." Vlad then turned his body sideways to gesture to the area around them, to all that the field had to offer. "To test our limitations, our utilization, and our creativity, we use the nationwide no-quirk-allowed fitness tests as a baseline. You guys are familiar with them, right?" He looked at his students to see most of them nodded in confirmation. "Excellent. Because to perform the assessments, you will be given free rein of use to use your quirk as you see fit during all the events of the fitness test." He explained.
"Just like, Mr. Aizawa's test." Ren said to himself.
"What do you mean by that?" Pony asked in curiosity.
"My class already took a quirk assessment test," Ren said getting the other's attention.
"You did? Is that why we didn't see 1-A at the orientation?" Tsuburaba asked.
"Yeah, are homeroom is pretty unique when it comes to teaching." Ren weirdly said while rubbing the back of his neck.
Then the class started to whisper among themselves, at what Ren said. Wondering what their homeroom teacher is like
"Yeah, that sounds like something EraserHead would do." Vlad King thought in annoyance, as Aizawa does those every year. "Amamiya and Kodai!"
The class quieted down again, turning their attention once more to their teacher.
"Yes." Ren said answering for the both of them.
"From out of everyone here, you both scored over 200 points on the practical portion of the exam." He said getting a nod from the Rangers. "Would it be alright if I use you two for the assessment demonstration?" Vlad asked them.
Ren and Yui figured that he would call them out first since they scored the best scores on the entrance exam.
"Not at all, sir." Ren said with a nod. "We'll be happy to help you out in any way."
"Mm," Yui said in agreement.
Vlad King was pleased to get the Rangers' full support. Now his plan was going underway. He gestured for them and the class to follow him to where the stationary robot remained.
As they walked, the hero talked to his demonstrator. "In middle school, do you two remember what your times were for the 50-meter dash?" Vlad asked them.
The Rangers took a moment to remember the scores they had.
"Yeah. It was 7.79 seconds." Ren said to him.
"Mine was 8.43 seconds," Yui said quietly but was loud enough to be heard.
"Good. That's pretty close to the national average for students your ages, if I remember correctly." They had finally gotten to the starting line of the sprint when Vlad turned to them fully, looking the Rangers in the eyes. "However, think you both can do better." He then gestured to where the other robot was standing, making sure to speak loudly and clearly so that there would be no confusion whatsoever. "I want you to cross these 50 meters as fast as you can. And I want you to use your quirks in any way you can think of to help you out, just make sure you get across that finish line as quickly as possible." Vlad King's order.
"Those who do have a quirk." Kamakiri said bluntly in a noncaring tone, as he was glaring at Ren.
"Dude! Kamakiri!" Tetsutetsu shouted at him.
"What? We're all thinking it?" Kamakiri said back. "The guy's weak."
"That doesn't mean, you should say it out loud," Kendo said in a big sister tone. "And he's not weak by the way."
"Yeah, he did place first on the entrance exam and fought against a real villain." Pony said in Ren's defense.
"That alone has to count for something." Shiozaki agrees with Pony.
"He's right you know." Monoma said with a shit-eating grin. "I mean Amamiya is only strong when he's wearing that outfit. Without it, he's no different than any quirkless person."
"Exactly. He's weak without that stupid suit of his own." Kamakiri agreed with Monoma's statement.
"Challenge accepted, jackass's." Ren thought in anger with his hand balled in a fist.
Then he felt something touch his other hand and it was Yui who had a little concerned look on her face.
"You good?" Yui quietly asked as she heard what Monoma and Kamakiri said about him.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Ren said before sighing. "Just being back some unpleasant memories." He then held her hand back which was comforting for him.
Yui can tell that despite all the hard work Ren put in to get accepted into U.A., people are still judging him for his quirklessness.
"Why can't they understand that he discovers to be here more than anyone." Yui thought in worry.
"Yui." Ren getting her attention. "Let's go all out. No holding back." He said with a determined look to prove himself as he held onto her hand tighter.
This caused the quiet girl to slightly blush from and say. "MM!" With a happy expression on her face.
Then the two of them got into running stances as they were waiting for Vlad King's next instructions.
"Are you both ready?" Vlad King asked them, with the Rangers giving him a nod in response. "Alright. Start running when the robot gives you the sign."
"Runners on your marks! Ready..." The robot said as the Rangers raised their bodies, prepared to run. Then they heard the 'pop,' sound going off from its gun.
KERWHOOSH!
In an intense, both Ren and Yui took off at a burst of speed, kicking up dust behind them and creating wind pressure as they ran.
Ren disappeared in a blur as he reached the finish line first and faster than the other students could see. "0.05 seconds!" The robot announced out loud.
Meanwhile, Yui wasn't as fast as Ren but was still able to keep up and get a good score finishing second. "2.01 seconds!" The robot announced her score.
"Holy-" Setsuna said in awe, stepping back. Then sudden gust of wind ruffled her hair around.
"fucking-" Juzo's mouth opened with widened eyes of disbelief.
"-shit." Awase finished, his jaw dropped along with the rest of the class.
Everyone looked amazed, terrified, and stunned as Ren and Yui finished the 50-meter dash in a record-breaking time. But they were even more impressed by Ren since he was quirkless.
When they were done, Ren and Yui did a quick light fist pound as they complimented their own scores to each other.
"Excellent job you two!" Vlad King said with a shadow of a smile. At the same time, the class 1-B students conventions erupted into excitement after hearing their results.
"Dude, they scored even more than professional athletes," Sen said in surprise.
"That was fast! I barely saw them move!" Reiko said.
"Amamiya! That was manly as hell!" Tetsutetsu commented.
"W-Wow! And t-they didn't even n-need to use their quirks!" Kinoko said with widened eyes.
"I was not expecting that at all. We really can do anything we want, eh?" Shishida said rubbing his fur.
"Now this is a quality education." Shiozaki said.
"Wow, she's kinda cute?" Kosei said looking at Yui.
"That Amamiya, sure does know how to make things interesting." Setsuna said with a grin.
Monoma looked positively flabbergasted, and even Kamakiri's eyes widened in pure shock. They expected him to be weak since he was able to do all of his amazing feats in his Ranger outfit. But now the both of them see that they were deadly wrong about assuming Ren was weak without him being a Power Ranger.
Kendo noticed the looks on both of their faces and said with a smug look. "I told you."
"So you were saying something about him being weak?" Pony joined Kendo as she was smiling wildly at them.
Ren then faced the class with a serious expression that got their attention.
"All of you still don't get it, do you?" Ren asked them.
"Get what?" Kamakiri asked with narrowed eyes.
"Just because someone doesn't have a quirk, that doesn't make them completely useless." Ren said in a slightly pissed tone. "Monoma and Kamakiri, I don't know what your problem is with me and to be honest I don't really care." He said making them angry for calling them out. "But underestimating and looking down on your opponents is the most stupidest thing you could do. And it will get you killed in the future if you aren't careful."
Those words were like a punch to the gut to both of them.
"Amamiya is right." Vlad King said getting the class's attention. "I have seen many rookie heroes getting themselves hurt or killed by a villain because they took them likely." He then looked at the class with a stoic expression. "Let this be a lesson to all of you to never underestimate your opponent no matter who they are. And that goes double for the both of you, Monoma and Kamakiri."
"Yes, sir." The whole class said together.
"Yes," Kamakiri said quietly.
"Yes, Mr. Vlad." Monoma said with an uneasy grin.
"Now, Amamiya and Kodai, if you'd be so kind, can you both stand back with your classmates." Vlad said to them as both Ren and Yui walked back to the others as the students congratulated them on a job well done. "We'll be doing 8 different tests to see what your limits are around your quirk. So give it your best and go beyond your limits and go Plus Ultra!" He exclaimed as if he was like a coach. But Vlad King did look like those coaches from movies being well built large, wide pretty intimidating, and hard to talk to.
"Plus Ultra!" The whole class shouts in sync.
"It's showtime." Ren said cracking his knocks with a cocky grin.
"Mm." Yui agreed with her grin.
First up was the 50 Meter Dash.
Most of them didn't have suitable quirks for this test and just did it the usual normal way of course the more athletic people had faster times, but some people had quirks that were perfect for this. Since Ren and Yui already did this test, they didn't have to redo it again.
Shishida transformed into a beast and just ran fast to the finish line, getting a score of 3.43 seconds.
Pony ran to the finish line in a horse-like manner having a pretty good time, better than most of her classmates, scoring 3.11 seconds.
Shoda, how everyone thought that he would be last, but he used his quirk to make his steps stronger and faster as he repeated those purses over and over again. He quickly made it to the finish line with a surprising time of 2.89 seconds, which wasn't supposed to be compatible with what he looked at.
After seeing Ren a quirkless student getting a time of 0.05 seconds and what Vlad King says about underestimating your opponents. All of the students relearned a very important lesson: Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover.
Manga turned around from the way of the finish line and then made what looked like a giant long word and it pushed him straight to the finish line, getting a time of 4.33 seconds.
Setsuna then just stood in place as her head detached from her body and floated its way to the finish line, scoring a time of 3.92 seconds.
Test 2: Grip Strenggrip
The second test is grip strength.
Kendo did well thanks to her Big Fist quirk and thankfully the school had different-sized equipment in preparation for the different kinds of quirks they were going to accommodate. Her score was 445 kilograms.
Monoma copied Kendo's quirk without her knowing and got a score of 312 kilograms.
Shishida also did well as he beast quirk and had amazing strength, getting a score of 515 kilograms.
Tetsutetsu turned his hands into steel and it gave him incredibly more grip strength, which got him a score of 158 kilograms.
Shiozaki used the vines on her hair to cleverly add strength to the grip machine and gave her a pretty good result. Which was 273 kilograms.
Awase used his quirk to hold down the grip machine, getting him a score of 100 kilograms.
Rin made his arm made of scales and boosted his strength by a bit but every bit mattered, earning him a score of 179 kilograms.
Bondo did the test normally and got a good score of 136 kilograms.
Ren and Yui used the Super-Strength Genetic powers of Mack Hartford, the Red Overdrive Ranger. Which granted him the ability to lift objects up to several tons, but his strength limit is currently unknown. He can also deliver strikes much more powerful than the average human.
They gripped the machine with enough force to break it apart into pieces which surprised the entire class, with their brute strength.
Vlad King watched in amazement as the Rangers displayed their level of strength to the other students, which was accruing to his plan to motivate his class to do better.
Test 3: Standing Long Jump
The third test is the standing long jump.
Kendo boosted her jump by slapping her giant fist on the ground and the force propelled her to have a bigger jump.
Kinoko made some jumpy mushrooms on the starting point and she jumped on it as if it was like a trampoline, This action of hers gave her a better result than she normally would have.
Shishida just transformed into his beast form yet again and jumped, he created an amazing result.
Shiozaki manipulated her hair to create momentum and increase the strength of her jump, clearing the sandpit.
Kosei jumped over the sandpit but then blew solid air out of his lungs to create a foothold in the air underneath himself and used it to jump again creating another foothold. He kept that pursuit up until he cleared the sandpit.
Reiko used her Poltergeist quirk to telepathically move her body over the sandpit, until she can't hold herself up anymore, getting a pretty good score.
Shoda jumped over the sand pit used his quirk to call a burst of energy, and kinda did a jump mid-air. He basically doubled jumped but his second jump was far stronger and it let him clear the sandpit.
Setsuna cleared the whole pit as she could literally float using her quirk. The downside was she had to reattach them together every now and then but a small price to pay for good mobility.
Pony used her quirk to fire the horns off her head and remotely control them to move around her body. As they flow right towards her and attach themselves right on both sides of her shirt, using the momentum to push herself across the entire sandpit, cleaning it completely.
Manga created words from his bubble and it flinged him a fair bit and he landed in a weird manner but with no injuries just minor scratches.
Yui jumped across the sandpit, clearing it with her body slowly landed back on the ground. That surprised the whole class except for Ren, Kendo, and Vlad King.
Ren did the exact same thing he did in Aizawa's quirk assessment test and jumped over the entire field at an incredible height and distance much longer and bigger than any of the other class 1-B students, which made the whole class except Yui's jaws drop in utter shock.
Vlad King just slightly chuckles at his student's reactions.
Kamakiri just looked at Ren but not with an angry look, but one of curiosity.
Monoma just gritted his teeth in frustration at how a class 1-A student was outdoing everyone in his class.
Test 4: Repeated Side Steps
The fourth test was the repeated side step.
Everybody did this test pretty normally except Ren, Yui, and Kinoko.
Kinoko created two soft trampoline-ish mushrooms as she bounced from one to another, just like how Mineta did his side steps.
Ren and Yui managed to keep up with her with their enhanced Ranger abilities.
Test 5: Ball Throw
The fifth test was the ball throw.
One by one his classmates were throwing the ball to the best of their abilities. Mostly all of them were average, but a few of them were able to make it into the hundreds.
Kamakiri made a blade from the palm of his right hand, he then threw the softball upward with his left, he quickly placed his left hand on the base of the blade to help stabilize it and then waited for the ball to be in range and hit the ball on its side, like a baseball pitcher. Earning a score of 128.97 meters.
Sen used the quirk on his arm to increase the speed and momentum as it moved. Then he released the softball, getting him a score of 194.29 meters.
Setsuna detached her hand that held the ball and it started to descend to a diagonal position when she couldn't go any further she threw the soft ball and returned her hand. This gave her a very surprisingly good distance of 363.76 meters.
Shoda threw the softball and in mid-air it looked like it had a sudden burst of energy and looked like it was hit twice but with stronger force, getting him a score of 391.70 meters.
Kendo enlarged one of her hands and she started spinning around gaining momentum before releasing the softball, earning a score of 267.42 meters.
Jurota transformed and simply threw the softball as hard as he could, getting 280.01 meters.
Shiozaki used her vines to grab the softball and she started to spin her hair around as it gained momentum when she was satisfied she let go of the ball and it flew a fair bit, getting a score of 131.40 meters.
Tetsutetsu turned his arm into steel and threw the softball. If this helped or not he didn't know but he did it anyway since he thought it was manly. His score was 87.90 meters.
Pony threw the softball normally but the ball had a rocket booster behind it which was one of her horns, getting 400.09 meters.
Reiko manipulated the softball with her telekinetic and flew it for a bit, before it fell to the ground, getting her son a score of 173.45 meters.
Rin turned his arm into scales and threw the softball. He then propelled his scales at the ball letting it fly further, getting him a score of 113.82 meters.
Yui used her quirk to shrink the softball to the size of a golf ball and then throw it with enough focus to create a large gust of wind pressure, which surprised the whole class in amazement. She used her Super-Strength Genetic powers to enhance the power behind the throw, getting a score of 1793.89 meters.
Ren was the last one to go at the test as he put everything he had into his throw, making an explosion of wind as the softball propelled towards the sky, causing amazement in the rest of the students as they were slightly pushed back by the wind pressure. When the ball landed, Ren got a score of 1920.65 meters.
The score and the power behind it made the class erupt in careers of praise as everyone was impressed by Ren's power without a quirk except Monoma who just looked upset.
Test 6: Distance Run
The sixth test was the long-distance run.
One by one the students who had the least among stamina and were less athletic started to go out.
Only Ren, Yui, Shishida, Pony, Kendo, and Kuroiro were left in the long-distance run, with Kuroiro being in Ren's shadow would he was running.
He asked Ren before the test if he could use his quirk on his shadow, which Ren had no problems with, and gave him his permission. After a while, he eventually gave up as Kuroiro did want to waste all of his energy on one test and repeated himself from Ren's shadow.
When the test was over Kuroiro thanked him, with Ren gave him a handshake in return.
Test 7: Seated Toe-Touch
The seventh test is the seated toe-touch.
It was a simple one but some of the students had a hard, except for Ren, Yui, Kendo, Setsuna, and Kamakiri. Who had flexible bodies or used their quirks to give them the edge.
Test 8: Sit Ups
The last test was the sit-ups.
Everyone was on the floor doing sit-ups. Some were struggling with their sit-ups and stopped around their 10th or 20th sit-up.
The students relied on physical abilities alone on this test except Ren, Yui, Kinoko, Kendo, and Shiozaki.
Kinoko made a mushroom trampoline-ish mat and it helped her a bit in the sit-ups as when she landed her back on the mushroom, it would bounce her right back up and she could repeat the cycle virtually for a long time. She stopped at 37 sit-ups when her body started to hurt from the repeated movement and actions.
Ibara Shiozaki used her vines as she attached them to the wall and it helped pull her her upper body up. She stopped at 115 sit-ups.
Kendo didn't have that much trouble with her sit-ups, since she was used to with her martial arts training. She stopped at 85 sit-ups.
Ren and Yui were going on without much problem as it lasted for a good few minutes until Vlad King stopped them.
Everyone was surprised at how much they were about to do with getting tired.
And with that, the quirk assessment test was finally over.
The students are now done with the quirk assessment test and gather up to see the results.
"Everyone good job out there!" The Blood hero said to his students proudly. "Some of you might have noticed that you weren't even able to use your quirk in most of the tests and some were very compatible like Shoda, Shiozaki, Shishida, Komori, Tsunotori, and Kendo."
This made the said student blush slightly from their teacher's praise.
"Would some like Amamiya & Kodai rely on their physical abilities rather than your quirks." Vlad said as his sight was on the two Rangers.
Ren and Yui just quickly looked at one another and nodded in agreement before looking back at Vlad.
"Sometimes you have to accept that your quirk might not be suitable for some situations. The same goes for heroes as we can't just go barging in. We have to consider our suitability in the situation. That's what this test teaches you. And just because you placed low here doesn't mean you'll be a bad hero in the future. That's why we teachers are here to help you grow and get better. Use this as motivation to get stronger and better. You all did your best and that's what matters." Vlad King said as a robot projected the standings on how well the students did on the test.

Everyone was surprised to see Ren getting first on the exam. They were impressed that the quirkless student outdid all of them in every one of the tests.
"Check it out! Amamiya placed first!" Tetsutetsu said in excitement.
"No surprise with everything he was doing on the test," Kendo said not being the less bit surprised by the results.
"Yeah, the guy destroyed us in all the tests." Awase said in an impressed tone.
"And with no quirk too," Manga added on.
"He just got lucky. That's all." Monoma said with a frown.
"Lucky had nothing to do with it, Monoma." Rin said with a grin. "Ranger boy over there has skills."
"Yes, Amamiya performed wonderfully out there." Shiozaki agreed with a nod.
All of the class agreed that Ren was skilled and strong for someone who doesn't have a quirk, except for Monoma. Even Kamakiri was starting to come to terms with the fact that Amamiya was as weak as he thought.
"Damnmit! I admit he's not completely hopeless!" Kamakiri thought in frustration.
"You were amazing as well, Kodai." Reiko said to the quiet girl with a tiny smile.
"Yeah, you showed everyone some girl power." Pony happily said.
"Thanks," Yui said with a neutral tone.
"Everyone listen up!" Vlad King yelled out getting the class's attention. "Before you leave, there's one more thing left to do." He then turned his gaze at Ren. "Amamiya, you and me are going to have a one-on-one sparring match right now."
"WHAAAT?!" The whole class was bewildered by the request.
Ren just sighed at the sudden request and said. "You and Aizawa planned this, didn't you?"
"Yes, we did kid," Vlad said with a small chuckle. "NOW MORPH INTO A POWER RANGER AND COME AT ME WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT!" He ordered the Ranger.
"Umm, sir. Don't you think this is a little unnecessary?" Kendo said with an uneasy voice.
"Yeah, you're a Pro, and Amamiya is just a beginner," Kuroiro said.
"The guy might be crazy strong and all. But he can't beat you in a straight-up fight." Setsuna said being a little worried as well.
"Oh, really now." Vlad King said with a grin. "So why don't we test that theory. Amamiya? Would you be so kindly to prove your classmates wrong."
Ren nodded to the man before walking straight up to the field, only a few feet away from the Pro hero. He then changes the Master Morpher to the Wind Morpher.
"It's Morphin Time!" Ren shouted.
"Here it comes," Yui said quietly.
"Ninja Storm! Ranger Form! Ha!" Ren shouted placing his right arm up in the air while making a hand sign with him turning his arm. He then brought his arm back down while moving his left arm to his right side, crossing both arms together. Then quickly moved his arms to his left side before thrusting them forward.
~Morphing Sequnce: Ninja Storm~
Ren moves his right arm back as his hand spins the Power Disc, which creates a hurricane that surrounds him. He then crosses both arms on his chest, right before spreading them wide open, which forms a yellow Ranger outfit from his neck to feet with the lion symbol on his chest. Ren then moved his head up to the sky as his helmet suddenly appeared on his head with no visor. Then both visor from his eyes and mouth appears, completing his transformation. The hurricane then dies down around him, as he stomps his left foot on the ground while moving his left arm forward and holding the sword that is attached to his back. Ren then started to get into a new pose with the lion symbol appearing behind him, as he was standing in the middle of a wasteland with a volcano erupting in the background.
For the others who saw Ren change into his Ranger form.
They saw him spin some kind of disc on the device that was attached to his wrist, then the spinning disc created a hurricane that surrounded him. When the hurricane died down, they saw him in a yellow spandex ninja costume, as he started to strike poses.
~Morphing Sequnce End~
"Power of Earth! Yellow Wind Ranger!" Ren shouted in a pose. He wore a yellow outfit with a chest symbol of a white lion surrounded by a circle. The sleeves consisted of chainmail with yellow gauntlets and white gloves. The helmet had a thin visor with a ninja headpiece surrounding it. Two small peaks that represent a lion's fang were protruding on the visor. A short sword was sheathed behind the him.
The students were yet again amazed by the new transformation. Most of them realized the costume Ren was wearing resembled that of a ninja.
"Wow, a new outfit!" Awase said in awe.
"He looks so badass right now." Sen said.
"He looks like a ninja!" Pony said in amazement, switching to English by accident.
"Uh, Pony. Your taking in English against." Kendo pointed out to her classmate.
"Sorry, I got excited that I accidentally spoke in English." Pony said in slight embarrassment.
"I can't blame you since this is cool to see." Kendo agreed with the American girl.
"A freakin ninja? Just how many costumes does this guy have?" Bondo asked in surprise.
"Don't no, but it appeared on him suddenly like the other one." Setsuna said in confusion.
"It's that device on his wrist." Shoda said making the whole class look at him. "Before he transformed I noticed he used a device on his wrist to summon his costumes." He pointed out to his classmates.
"Yes, I also noticed that as well," Shiozaki said in agreement. "Since Amamiya doesn't have any powers like the rest of us, he uses that device to make up for it."
"But isn't that kind of cheating," Monoma said in an unpleasant tone. "I mean, he's just using a dumb toy to make himself stronger, we'll we have to work our butts off to get to this point. If anything it's unfair to the rest of us."
"That's not true, Monoma," Shishida said correcting the blond. "There are some students that need special or personal Support Items in order to use their quirks. So Amamiya using that device is no different." He said in Ren's defense.
"True, Don't be jealous just because he looks cool," Reiko said with her arms up in a ghost position.
"I am not jealous!" Monoma argued back.
"That's what a jealous person would say," Kuroiro said making most of the class laugh and Monoma angry.
Back to the action, Ren and Vlad King were staring at each other before getting into fighting stances with Ren taking out his Ninja Sword.
"I'm ready when you are, Amamiya!" Vlad King said to him.
"I'm ready, Mr. Vlad." Ren nodded back.
"Good, 'cause I'm not holding back." Vlad King said before taking off at Ren in a burst of speed.
At the same time, Vlad released a long portion of blood from his right arm, hardening it to attack the Ranger, but Ren dodged the attack with his ninja speed and disappeared from sight, leaving Vlad and the rest of the class confused.
"What the?" Vlad said looking around in every direction to find Ren. "Where did he go?"
"Above up!" Vlad looked up to see Ren repairing in mid-air from a whirlwind of dust, with him taking the sheathe of his back and placing it on the Ninja Sword, switching it to blaster mode. "Heads up!" He said firing multiple lasers blast at him.
Vlad manipulated his blood to create a blood shield to protect himself but the blasts were too strong they broke apart his shield and pushed his back, but was able to defend himself. Ren wasn't done yet as he switched back to his Ninja Sword to rush at Vlad King. The blood hero in response used his quirk to make made stiff blood gauntlets on both hands to counter Ren's sword strike.
"Not bad Amamiya." Vlad said throwing a punch at Ren.
"Thanks." Ren said back blocking the attack with his sword before swinging back at him with multiple strikes but Vlad was finning them off.
"But you'll have to do better than that!" Vlad King yelled while softening his blood for a split second before hardening it again to catch Ren's Ninja Sword in his blood, which surprised the Yellow Ranger.
Vlad took advantage of this to punch Ren hard in the chest with sparks coming off his suit, sending him flying back in pain as he rolled on the ground a few times before standing on one knee, holding his chest in pain.
"Damn, I did not expect that." Ren said in slight pain.
"Incredible! Amamiya holding his own against Mr. Vlad!" Kosei said in amazement.
"Y-Yeah, but h-h-he lost his w-weapon. How is he g-going to f-f-fight back?" Kinoko pointed out.
"It's not like he had a chance to begin with." Monoma said with a smug look. "He's fighting a Pro hero, not some random street villain."
"He'll win," Yui said loud enough for the class to here. "I know he will."
"Yeah. I believe in Amamiya as well." Kendo said with a smile.
"Me too!" Pony joined in.
Kamakiri didn't pay attention to the conversation as he was more focused on the fight. He was just wondering what was Ren's next move now that he didn't have a weapon anymore.
"Your disarmed Amamiya! What will you do now?!" Vlad King asked his student.
Ren just smirks in response behind his visor as he gets back on his feet and pulls out a hammer. "Lion Hammer! Ready to roar!"
This made Vlad and the rest of the class's jaws drop in surprise except for Yui.
"Where did that hammer come from?!" Everyone thought in slight confusion.
Ren then slams the Lion Hammer on the ground which creates a tremor that sends Vlad upwards into the air before hitting the ground in pain. Ren kept this up six more times before rushing at Vlad King again.
"I did not expect that one, either." Vlad King regains his footing to see Ren coming at him. "I don't think so Amamiya!" He shouted ready to capture Amamiya in his blood.
But before he could, Ren used his Earth powers and went through the ground, catching the Pro off guard.
"He went in the ground!" Tetsutetsu shouted in surprise.
"Smart thinking," Rin said with a grin.
Ren then re-emerges from the ground right next to Vlad King's left side, as he turns to see Ren ready to attack again and puts both of his arms up in defense with them covered in more of his hardened blood. When Ren's attack connects, he creates a yellow shockwave that sends Vlad King flying across the field while breaking apart his hardened blood. That also frees Ren's Ninja Sword, as he catches the blade in mid-air with his right hand. When Vlad landed on the ground, Ren used his ninja speed to get close to him, then placed the Ninja Sword in the ground and manipulated the ground to sink Vlad King into it.
"W-W-What?!" Vlad King yelled in surprise as he was unable to fight back with his body being swallowed into the ground.
Ren stopped with Vlad King's head almost to the ground trapping the Pro hero. Ren then pointed his sword straight at Vlad's face with him looking up to the Ranger.
Ren's visor and mouthpiece moved, revealing his face with his saying. "I win."
The rest of the class looked at the scene with their jaws dropped in complete shock except for Yui, as they witnessed their schoolmate defeat a Pro hero in a fight.
"I-I'm a seeing thing right now?" Manga said in his speech bubble.
"No, you aren't. Amamiya beat are homeroom teacher in a fight." Kendo said in awe, as she knew Ren was strong but was not strong enough to defeat a real Pro hero.
"He did it!" Pony celebrated.
"He's so cool," Kinoko said in amazement.
"Damn, I didn't think he was this good," Setsuna said with her hand over her head.
"That was so manly!" Tetsutetsu said in disbelief.
"He sinks him in the ground, just like how I use my power," Juzo commented.
"T-That's not possible. H-He can't do that." Monoma said with his eyes widened in a broken tone as he was unable to possess what he had just seen.
"He had a good strategy when his sword was taken away from him," Shishida said pushing up his glasses.
"Daaammn, Amamiya is the man." Awase said in awe.
"I knew he could win." Yui said with a tiny smile.
Kamakiri just looked at Ren intensely before sighing to himself. "Ok, I was wrong about him." He thought seeing Ren in a new light.
Ren then used his Earth manipulation to pull Vlad King out of the ground before de-morphing back to his gym uniform.
"Good fight, Amamiya. I didn't expect you to beat me so easily." Vlad King compliment the Ranger while chuckling to himself at his loss.
"I wouldn't say it was easy, but I learned a lot from our spar," Ren said with a smile.
"Happy to hear that son," Vlad said to him before facing his students. "As you all have witnessed, Amamiya here is on a completely different level than all of you right now and he's quirkless. If you want to catch up to him then you'll have to work ten times harder so you don't get left behind. Do you all understand?" He said to his students in a serious tone.
"Yes, sir!" The whole class said to find a new motivation to get stronger.
"Good, now that's it for today." Vlad King said with a nod. "Everyone head back to change, then grab a syllabus from the classroom, and then you can go home." He said walking before giving a thumbs up at Ren for doing a good job.
Ren nodded back in response as Vlad left the field with the other students approaching him, asking him all sorts of questions about his Ranger abilities.
"Ok, you guys. Give him some room." Kendo said calming the class down. "He can't answer you if you keep firing questions at him."
"Thanks, Kendo." Ren said to the big sister of the class.
"No problem, Amamiya." Kendo smiled at him. "That was really impressive. I didn't think you would beat real pro heroes in a fight."
"Really, it's not like it's a big deal," Ren said.
"What do you mean it's not a big deal?! You beat one of the best heroes in the country! This not something a hero in training can do!" Awase said with a grin.
"Yeah, you were so manly out there with your ninja moves!" Tetsutetsu complimented him.
"Like I said, it's not a big deal. Anyone could have done what I did." Ren trying to brush it off.
"So modest. That's the sign of a true Pro hero." Shiozaki said impressed by Ren's kindness.
"You were amazing out there, Ren." Yui said with happiness in her voice.
"Thanks, Yui," Ren said smiling to her. "Anyway, it was nice to meet you guys. Hope I'll be seeing more of you guys in the future." He said to them.
"Right." Kendo nodded to him. "We should have back in guys, then had home."
"Right." The class said making their way back to the locker rooms to change.
Musutafu Streets- Evening
Ren was walking down the street heading home. It was an exhausting first day and his hero training hadn't even started yet. He had to do two quirk assessment tests and fight against two of the teachers to prove that he was U.A. material.
"Man, I'm beaten." Ren sighs in exhaustion being mentally drained. "Morphing multiple times in one day is tiresome," Ren said to himself.
"But still, you showed everyone today not to take you seriously just because you're quirkless." Holo-Tommy said to him.
"I don't think everyone got the message," Ren said remembering Bakugo and Monoma.
"Your talking about the annoying blond duo." Holo-Tommy said knowing who Ren was talking about. "Bakugo superiority complex and Monoma inferiority complex are going to cause major problems in the future if they don't fix it."
Bakugo superiority complex makes him impossible to like because of how he thread other around him like they don't matter, else quirkless people.
Monoma inferiority complex will keep him from working with him and his classmates because to him, he thinks his class is second best to class 1-A, which is not true.
It's like they don't understand the meaning of working together.
"I know. They think that being a hero is some kind of pissing competent, but there will come a time were they going to need some help from the people they don't like. And if they don't accept their help..." Ren said to the A.I. before he finished his sentence.
"Then their actions will not only cost them their lives but also the lives of those around them, all because they couldn't swallow their own pride," Holo-Tommy said in a grim tone.
"Yeah, makes me think of the type of heroes they'll be in the future." Ren said out loud before changing the subject. "Anyway, I still can't believe Kendo was chosen my the Master Morpher."
"The Master Morpher most of saw something inside of Kendo that made her a candidate for being a Ranger," Holo-Tommy said. "You should try talking to her tomorrow to recruit her on the team." He advised.
"Yeah, would of did it today if I wasn't so tired." Ren said yawning a little.
Ren was so tired, that he didn't notice someone running into him from an alleyway.
"Eh?" Ren said feeling something hitting him, as he lost his footing a little. He looked down to see the person responsible for this.
It was a little girl.
She was a small girl who looked around 5-7 with bluish, off-white hair, messy and unkempt, which was parted in the middle of her forehead, almost reaching down to her waist. She has very wide, innocent-looking eyes, which are bright red in color. Poking out from the right side of her forehead is a small, brown horn. And she is wearing a plain, short-sleeved dress, which is a dirty, pale tan color. Bandages are wrapped around both her arms and legs, stopping at her wrists and ankles. She also wasn't wearing any shoes.
Her name is Eri.
Ren looked at the girl's poor attire and what struck out the most was the terrified look on her face. "Well, that's not a good sign." Ren thought in concern.
"Hey kid, you alright?" Ren asked stepping up to the horn girl to help her up, only for the girl to flinch looking visibly scared as she backed away from Ren. Ren stops in his tracks when he sees her face. "What happened to this girl to make her so scared?" Ren though.
"You should be more careful..." A male voice said causing the little girl to flinch at the sound coming from the alleyway she had come out from.
Out of the darkness was a man.
He is a pale man of narrow build with short, shaggy auburn hair, parted to the right. His eyes are thin, their irises small and gold, with rather long lower eyelashes and small eyebrows. He wears a black dress shirt with matching dress pants, a pale gray tie around his neck and a belt with a long, thin buckle around his waist, with three beaded lobe piercings in his left ear. Over this, he wears a dark olive-green bomber jacket, its collar lined with thick purple fur and white lace-up sneakers, their soles tan-colored, with no socks on his feet. His most noticeable features are the white surgical gloves he wears on his hands and the magenta plague mask he wears over his mouth, which is tipped and embroidered with gold.
His name was Kai Chisaki, also known as the Villain: Overhaul.
"We don't want to cause trouble for anyone now, do we." The bird-masked man said in a calm but irritated tone.
