Nightfall wrapped its arms around Alex's house. Alex was in his room. He was in his bed thinking that he was going to go to sleep peacefully...well not really. His eyes were opened wide by the sound of what's going on in the hallway.
In the hallway, he could hear that both Penelope and Lydia were arguing. It was all about what had happened at Thanksgiving dinner. Paige was saying that Penelope had made Paige feel uncomfortable. They were shouting so loud that Alex could hear it.
That was why that his eyes were wide open. He couldn't sleep over the noise that was going on in the hallway. He snuck out of his room to go and tiptoe over to his sister's room. She was already in bed fast asleep until Alex had came to her, which had caused her to wake up,
"Alex, what's going on?",asked Elena.
"Can I sleep in here tonight?", he asked.
Without a word, Elena offered Alex to sleep with her in her bed. The both of them then closed their eyes fell asleep.
