Good to see that the reviews are coming in good. DiamondPickle994, I'll tell you about how I came up with the pairing of Pikachu and Fifi La Fume if you enable your private messaging. Bates, Daffy will realize that he can't put claiming reward money over finding his missing protégé. Tundra, believe me, Elmyra will definitely be in for it in "Primeape Goes Bananas". Razor, I'll gladly have Suzy and Vulpix give Sweetie what for. As for Ghost of the Maiden Peak, I probably will have her reunite with lover. It's just a matter of how to pull it off. But anyway, onto the next episode.

Episode 6: Challenge of the Samurai

(Insert "Pokémon, I Choose You")

As their adventures began, Ash, our hero from Pallet and Mary Melody from Acme Acres, chose Pikachu and Bulbasaur. But Pikachu wasn't too thrilled with its Trainer. And he wasn't too thrilled about being the object of affection of Fifi La Fume either. Besides reuniting with Fifi, Mary reunited with Buster Bunny. Ash would catch a Rattata and Mary, a Sentret. After that, a flock of angry Spearows nearly finished them off, but the injured Pikachu saved the day with its Thunder Shock power. Mary caught one of the Spearows too. Pikachu regained its health at the Pokémon Center in Viridian City, which soon found itself under attack. The attacks were Jessie and James of the notorious Team Rocket, who, with Meowth, attacked the center, hoping to steal some rare Pokémon. But their sinister plans were thwarted by Ash and Pikachu, who next journeyed into the Viridian Forest, where Ash caught a Caterpie. Next, he caught Seedot, Shroomish and Pidgeotto. Mary also caught a Budew and a Hoothoot. And even more surprises were to come. The toons reunite with Bookworm and Sweetie Bird, but Sweetie Bird declined to travel with them. And last, but not least, Caterpie evolved into Metapod.

(End Music)

Ash and his friends had been traveling in the Viridian Forest for a week. During that week, Ash and Mary were training their Pokémon, learning new techniques. One day, Misty screamed when she spotted something. "What's wrong now?" asked Buster, looking annoyed.

"I think I see another bug! Gross!" said Misty, who was grabbing onto a tree branch.

"Maybe it's a Cowterpie!" joked Ash. He let out a chuckle. Buster, Fifi and Bookworm burst into hysterical laugher.

"Zat's a good one, Ash!" said Fifi.

"Yeah!" said Buster. Pikachu fell to the ground in annoyance. The tree branch broke and Misty fell out of the tree.

"That's not funny! You know I hate bugs and I saw one right there!" said Misty, pointing behind her. It was a small, brown, serpentine larva Pokémon with a segmented body. The bug had dark, circular eyes, many little pink feet and a pink, round nose. It also had a poisonous stinger on both its tail and head. Its bright coloration was intended to warn off its enemies. Misty hid behind Ash and the toons.

"A Weedle," said Ash.

(Insert "Pokédex Theme, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)

Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on the Pokemon. "Weedle. The stinger on this Pokémon's head guarantees that any attacker will get the point right where it hurts," said the Pokédex.

(End Music)

"A stinger, huh? Now, there's a challenge," said Ash.

"Why are you so excited about a bug with a stinger? Make it go away!" said Misty.

"You got to be kidding. You can't possibly expect a great Pokémon Trainer like me to let a Weedle escape. I'm gonna catch it. Let's go, Pikachu," said Ash. But Ash saw that Pikachu was sleeping in a sleeping bag. "Ah, taking a nap, huh?" asked Ash, looking annoyed.

"He's just faking it," said Mary.

"I'll handle zis," said Fifi.

"What are you going to do?" asked Ash.

"You'll see," said Fifi, winking.

(Insert "Alouette")

Fifi walked up to Pikachu and cracked her knuckles. She then puckered her pink lips and began to give Pikachu a big kiss on his lips. "Oh, I get it. She's gonna try to wake him up the fairytale way," said Buster.

"She deserves to have her head examined. It's supposed to the boy who wakes the girl with a kiss, not the other around," said Misty.

"That's a gender stereotype," said Mary. Fifi realized that Pikachu was resisting her kiss and wasn't moving. She broke the kiss. All she did was just stain Pikachu's lips with her lipstick.

"So, you wanna play hardball, ehh?" asked Fifi. Fifi then resumed kissing Pikachu, but a bit harder and more forceful. As she kissed him, Pikachu's eyes widened when he realized that kiss that Fifi was giving him wasn't a normal kiss. He jumped out of his sleeping bag, shrieking like a girl. Fifi, Bookworm and Buster laughed at Pikachu's reaction. Even Ash and Mary couldn't help laughing. Pikachu then began to brush his tongue for some reason.

"YOU PUT YOUR TONGUE IN MY MOUTH!" yelled Pikachu.

"Zat ees what ees known as French keesseeng. The people keesseeng touch lips and put zeir tongues in each other's mouths. Eet ees a romantic sensation. Le sigh," said Fifi.

(End Music)

"More like disgusting if you ask me! Why did you have to interrupt my nap?!" asked Pikachu.

"Because you were acting like a lazy bum when I asked you to battle that Weedle. That's why Fifi did it. So go, fight that Weedle so I can catch it," said Ash. Pikachu growled a frustrated growl.

"Fine. Considering the fact that Fifi ruined my nap," said Pikachu.

"That wasn't napping. That was just a lazy, fat slob," said Buster.

"At least I don't forget to put on my pants!" said Pikachu. Buster groaned in annoyance since people seem to make jokes about him wearing pants.

"And Fifi . . . DON'T EVER PUT YOUR TONGUE IN MY MOUTH AGAIN!" yelled Pikachu.

"Alright, alright. Just go battle already," said Fifi. But then, Misty noticed the Weedle was nudging against her leg. Misty screamed and ran off.

"Don't just stand there, catch it!" cried Misty as she ran. Buster, Bookworm and Fifi just laughed at Misty.

"Chicken! Chicken!" said Buster.

"Le cluck, cluck, cluck!" teased Fifi.

"Guys, be nice," said Mary.

"It's not our problem if she's afraid of bugs," said Buster.

"Careful, Ash. Weedle has Poison Point, so I recommend that Pikachu doesn't do any physical attacks," said Mary.

"Okay," said Ash.

(Insert "Kanto Wild Pokémon Battle" from Pokémon)

"Pikachu, let's go!" said Ash.

"Pika!" said Pikachu, turning to face Weedle. Weedle fired a Silk String attack at Pikachu.

"Pikachu, dodge it!" said Ash. Pikachu jumped out of the way and silk hit the ground instead. "Pikachu, Thunder Shock attack!" said Ash. Pikachu's cheeks began to spark.

"Pikachuuuuuuuuu!" said Pikachu as he let off the attack. The electricity was a direct hit, shocking Weedle.

"Weedle!" cried Weedle.

"That's the way to do it!" said Ash.

"Go get 'em, Ash!" said Buster.

"You can do eet, Pikachu!" said Fifi.

(End Music)

"This whole forest is crawling with slimy, disgusting Bug Pokémon. I just wish they all bug off," said Misty. Little did she know that she was being watched by someone. Whoever it was, he was armed with a sword. Misty turned around when she heard her stalker do a battle cry. She saw that it was a young boy dressed like a samurai. He had both a sword and a bug catching net. The sword stopped near her face.

"Greetings, oh shrieking maiden. Are you by chance a Pokémon trainer who comes from Pallet?" asked the Samurai.

"Uh, no. That's not me," said Misty.

"Alas, my search continues," said Samurai, putting his sword in his holster. "I advice you refrain from further shrieking in this forest. Unless your goal is attract a horde of Beedrills," said Samurai. Samurai began to leave.

"What a weird kid. I wonder why he'd be looking for a Pokémon Trainer from . . . ," said Misty. She gasped. "That's Ash!" said Misty.

(End Music)

(Insert "Kanto Wild Pokémon Battle" from Pokémon)

Elsewhere, Ash's Pikachu continued to dominate Weedle on the battlefield. Weedle charged, with his stinger pointing forward. "Pikachu, watch out for it's poison sting!" said Ash. Pidgeotto managed to evade the poisonous larva just in time. "Ha! Nice work!" said Ash. Pikachu zapped Weedle, knocking him to the ground once again. "Okay! Here we go!" said Ash, taking out an empty Pokéball. "Weedle, I got you now!" said Ash. Weedle was on the ground, with swirls in his eyes.

(End Music)

Just then, Samurai approached. "Greetings, am I approaching a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet?" asked Samurai.

"I'm a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet along with Mary Melody, but she's not from Pallet. And I'm a little busy!" said Ash.

"Well, two trainers. Now that's better!" said Samurai, taking out his sword.

"Ash!" said Misty, who was running into the area.

"Huh?" asked Ash.

"Watch out for his sword!" cried Misty.

"Hhhhhyyyyyaaaaahhhhh!" said Samurai. But Buster blocked Samurai's sword with his own.

"He said he was busy!" said Buster.

"There's no way you're stealing my Pokémon! I already have problems with three operatives of Team Rocket that are stalking me," said Ash.

"I am neither a Pokémon thief nor a member of Team Rocket!" said Samurai.

"Who are you then?" asked Mary.

"I am Samurai. I am also shrewd, fearless and completely invincible in combat. I've been searching the forest for a trainer from Pallet Town, but I found two," said Samurai, putting his sword into his holster.

"What do you want from me?" asked Ash.

"A Pokémon match! Let us see who triumphs!" said Samurai, taking out a Pokéball. Then, Ash realized Samurai was distracting him.

"Oh no! I forgot about Weedle!" said Ash. He saw it trying to crawl away. "I'll get it! Pokéball, go!" said Ash. He threw the Pokéball, but it missed the Pokémon. Ash angrily turned to Samurai. "That Weedle only got away because you mixed me up," said Ash.

"Don't blame your failure on me. Your Pokémon handling is dim-witted and clumsy," said Samurai.

"You should've waited til Ash finished up catching the Weedle!" scolded Mary.

"Well it's a good thing that Weedle got away," said Misty smugly.

"What?!" asked Ash and the toons.

"As I said, I hate Bug Pokémon and neither of you are going to catch any more Bug Pokémon as long as I'm traveling with you!" said Misty.

"That's not fair!" said Mary.

"Just because you hate Bug Pokémon doesn't mean that you can prevent anybody else from catching them!" said Ash.

"What do you think you are, their mother?!" asked Samurai, looking annoyed.

"You're forgetting one thing Misty. I'm technically older than you. So you can't boss me around like that, And I won't let you boss around Ash either," said Mary.

"It doesn't matter! I don't want to see any more bugs!" said Misty.

"Well that's too bad, cause I happen to be a Bug Pokémon Trainer myself," said Samurai.

"WHAT?!" asked Misty.

"Enough! Samurai wanted a fight, Mary and I will give him one!" said Ash.

"Very well. But you're going to regret it," said Samurai.

"We'll see about that," said Mary.

"Pikachu," said Pikachu.

"Go, Pinsir!" said Samurai. He threw a Pokéball and his Pokemon came out. Pinsir was a bipedal Pokémon that had a brown body with a large pair of white horns or pincers that were dotted with small spikes. Pinsir had short legs with three toes each and skinny, three-clawed arms. Its mouth had long, flat teeth that were arranged horizontally rather than vertically. Pinsir was cold-blooded.

"That's a mean looking stag beetle," said Buster.

(Insert "Pokédex Theme, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)

Ash took out his Pokédex. "Pinsir. This fearsome Pokémon uses its powerful claws to put the squeeze on its opponents," said Ash's Pokédex.

"I'll take on your Pinsir," said Ash. I need to give Pikachu a rest. I'll use Metapod and use that new training I've been giving him to good use, thought Ash.

(End Music)

"Metapod, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw Metapod's Pokéball and it came out.

"Watch and weep as Pinsir crushes your Metapod in half!" said Samurai. Pinsir clanged his pincers threateningly.

"No," said Ash. Ash imagined what would happen if it do so. I gotta handle this smartly and carefully, thought Ash.

"This match is already won!" said Samurai. Samurai's Pinsir charged at Metapod, with it's pincers at the front.

(Insert "Who is Stronger? Epic Battle" from Pokémon)

"Metapod, dodge using Silk String!" said Ash. Before Pinsir could seize Metapod, Metapod fired a Silk String attack at a nearby tree branch above the two. It then zipped up out of the way, causing Pinsir to miss. "Now, Swinging Tackle!" said Ash. Metapod then swung at Pinsir. BAM! Metapod rammed Pinsir, knocking him down. "You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!" said Ash.

"Ooh la la. And I zought spiders were ze master of swinging by a thread, non?" asked Fifi.

"Pinsir, use Bug Bite!" said Samurai. Pinsir charged and bit at Metapod.

"Metapod!" cried Metapod. Pinsir then threw Metapod to the ground. "Now, use Vice Grip!" said Samurai. It charged at Metapod once again.

"Metapod, Harden now!" said Ash. Ash's Metapod began to glow green. Pinsir seized Metapod in it's pincers. It tried to crush Metapod in them, but Metapod's shell was too hard. So hard that the spikes on it's pincers broke.

"Pikachu," said Pikachu.

"Le ouch," said Fifi.

"It worked. So now who's the novice?" taunted Ash. Samurai growled in frustration. "Metapod, Tackle!" said Ash. Metapod charged and rammed Pinsir. Pinsir fell to the ground, with swirls for eyes.

"Pinsir, return," said Samurai. He returned Pinsir to its Pokéball.

(End Music)

"My turn," said Mary, stepping forward.

"That was quite clever what your friend did. Now meet my Metapod," said Samurai. He threw the Pokéball and his Metapod came out. Ash picked up his Metapod.

"I think I know the perfect Pokémon to do the job," said Mary, taking out a Pokéball.

(Insert "Kanto Trainer Battle" from Pokémon)

"Hoothoot, I choose you!" said Mary. She threw the ball and Hoothoot was summoned.

"Hoothoot!" said Hoothoot.

"A Hoothoot? I thought they only lived in Johto," said Samurai.

"That's what I thought too. Hoothoot, use Peck!" said Mary. Hoothoot charged and pecked at Metapod, knocking it back. "Now, use Tackle!" said Mary. The owl Pokémon charged at Metapod.

"Metapod, Harden!" said Samurai. Samurai's Metapod glowed green like Ash's. Hoothoot hit Metapod, but he bounced off the cocoon Pokémon.

"Hoothoot, use Echoed Voice!" said Mary. Hoothoot let out a loud hoot that blew Metapod across the battlefield.

(Pause Music)

Meanwhile, the Weedle that fled from Ash was crawling in the forest when it was attacked again. But this time, it was Sweetie. "Now dat's a king-sized worm! You look more delicious than Bookworm!" said Sweetie. She grabbed her fork and knife and tried to stab the Weedle. But the Weedle just used its horns to break her utensils. "Hey! No fair!" said Sweetie. Just then, she heard some buzzing. "What the?" asked Sweetie. She turned around and shrieked at whatever was coming her.

(Insert "Team Rocket's Secret Strategy" from Pokémon)

Miles away from the battlefield, Team Rocket were up to no good. Right now, Jessie and James were walking some sort of blue tank made of paper over their heads. Meowth laid down on top of it. "I'm tired," complained James.

"James, stop whining," said Jessie.

"But Jessie, what's the point of dragging this tank around?" asked James.

"To protect us from Beedrills. Ever been stung by one? It hurts," said Jessie.

"Hey, down there. Quit chattering. Get a move on," said Meowth.

"What are you doing up there?" asked Jessie.

"Why don't you come help us?" asked James.

"Wish I could. But I'm a lookout," said Meowth.

"Well look out for this!" said Jessie. She pushed part of the tank up, causing Meowth to fall off screaming. Meowth began to run after them.

"Hey wait a second! Come back! I need protection! Meowth!" said Meowth.

(End Music)

(Resume "Kanto Trainer Battle" from Pokémon)

Back at the sight of the battle, Hoothoot and Metapod continued to duke it out against each other. And Hoothoot was winning. Metapod was covered in peck marks and scratches from Hoothoot's attacks. "Finish it with Tackle!" said Mary.

"Hooooooot!" said Hoothoot as it charged. BAM! Hoothoot tackled Samurai's Metapod, defeating it. It has swirls for eyes to show it was defeated. Samurai gasped.

(End Music)

"You did it, Hoothoot!" said Mary as she hugged her Hoothoot.

"Hoothoot," said Hoothoot. Just then, everybody heard some screaming.

"Huh?" asked everybody. Flying into the area was Sweetie Bird. But she was covered in a lot of bumps, which were a sickly purple.

"Sweetie Bird?" asked Fifi.

"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! BIG ASS BEES!" screamed Sweetie. Not long after that, everybody heard more buzzing.

"What's that noise?" asked Misty.

(Insert "Raid" from Pokémon)

"A Beedrill swarm approaches! Metapod, return!" said Samurai. He returned his defeated Metapod to his Pokéball. Samurai was right about one thing. There was a Beedrill swarm coming. Beedrill was a bipedal wasp; however, it only has four legs instead of six and lacks pigment pits. Beedrill's head was round with a slightly pointed mouth, with large, shiny red eyes and antennae in the shape of the number 7. Its legs were connected to its body by its thorax, and the first two were tipped with long, conical stingers. It stands on its other two legs, which are long, segmented and insect-like in shape. Beedrill had two pairs of rounded, veined wings, and another stinger on its striped abdomen.

"Beedrill swarm!" said Ash. Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on Beedrill.

"Beedrill. This Pokémon is an evolved form of Weedle, following its Kakuna stage. Its sting is highly poisonous," said Ash's Pokédex.

"Now I see why Sweetie's flying scared," said Mary.

"The Weedle that got away warned the rest of its kind! Good day!" said Samurai. He began to run for it.

"In other words, the Weedle turned stool Pidgey!" said Buster.

"I better return my Metapod," said Ash. But before he could, one of the Beedrills headbutted Ash in the back, knocking him down. Ash yelped as he fell. In the process, he dropped Metapod. Suddenly, one of the Beedrills swooped in and grabbed his Metapod. "Metapod, return now!" said Ash. The Pokéball fired the red returning beam, but Beedrill dodged them.

"Eet's getting away!" cried Fifi.

"Oh no it's not! Pidgeotto, after that Beedrill!" said Ash.

"You too Hoothoot! Spearow, help them out!" said Mary. Ash and Mary threw the Poké Balls and their two bird Pokémon were summoned to assist Hoothoot. All three birds pursued the Bedrill that stole Metapod. Another wild Beedrill charged toward Ash and his friends. Pikachu jumped into the air and zapped the Beedrill. Beedrill was barbecued by the electric shock and it flew back toward where it's brethren was at.

"Let's move it!" said Misty. Ash, Pikachu, Fifi, Mary, Buster, Bookworm and Misty began to run away from the angry Beedrill swarm.

"But Metapod . . . ," said Ash.

"We'll meet up with our bird Pokémon if it finds your Metapod!" said Mary. Ash and his friends managed to catch with Samurai and Sweetie.

"They're gaining on us!" said Misty. Everybody hid behind some bushes and the Beedrill went by them. Everybody sighed.

(End Music)

Just then, everybody heard some low hooting. It was Mary's Hoothoot. "Hoothoot, did you, Spearow and Pidgeotto find something?" whispered Mary.

(Insert "A Creeping Threat" from Pokémon)

The three birds pointed to a tree where a bunch of yellow cocoon Pokémon were hanging from. Some were clinging to the tree itself. They had yellow, serpentine cocoon bodies. They also had dome-shaped heads and black, triangular eyes. They had two scythe-like arms in the middle of their bodies. Whenever they come close to evolving, their bodies give off heat that make them warm to the touch. "A whole hive of Kakunas," said Samurai. Misty gasped, but Fifi covered her mouth.

"Ssshhh," said Fifi. Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on them.

"Kakuna, a transitional stage between Weedle and Beedrill. Kakunas remain inactive until they evolve into deadly Beedrills and hatch," said the Pokédex. Then, Ash spotted Metapod.

"It's Metapod," whispered Ash.

"We can get him back if we sneak quietly," said Buster.

"But we must keep low," said Samurai. Ash and his friends began to crawl toward the tree. But then, Sweetie let out a yell of pain. For the stings she received still hurt her body. Buster covered Sweetie's mouth.

"Keep your voice down," said Buster. But it was too late. One of the Kakuna heard the yelling. Then, some of the Kakunas' backs began to crack open. Bright lights began to shine from the cracks. Everybody gasped. And emerging from the Kakunas' shells, were more Beedrills.

"Beedrills, they've evolved!" said Misty.

(End Music)

(Insert "A Huge Free for All" from Pokémon)

The Beedrills began to charge at Ash and his friends. Everybody screamed as they were coming at them. "Pidgeotto, fend them off!" said Ash.

"Hoothoot, Spearow, cover us!" said Mary. The three bird Pokémon charged and began to attack the Beedrills, knocking some of them off. With the Beedrills distracted, Ash began to try to reach Metapod. But unfortunately, one of the Beedrills knew he would that. It tried to sting Ash, but Ash dodged it.

"Ash, we need to regroup!" said Mary.

"But Metapod . . . ," said Ash.

"There's too many of them!" said Buster. Ash growled frustrated, realizing he couldn't save Metapod at the moment.

"Don't worry, Metapod! We will return!" said Ash. Ash and the others ran as fast as they could. Then, they saw a wooden cabin dead ahead of them.

"My cabin! I think we can make it!" said Samurai. They went into the cabin and closed the door just in time. Some of the Beedrills' stingers stuck to the door, but it wasn't enough to break it down. They began to fly away from the cabin.

"Whew," said Ash.

"Zat was a close one," said Fifi.

(End Music)

As Samurai was taking his armor off, the toons got a good look at Sweetie. "How deed you end up getting stung? What deed you do to make zose Beedrill mad?" asked Fifi.

"I was trying to have this Weedle for a meal. But those Beedrills attacked me and stung me," said Sweetie.

"That was really stupid of you to do that Sweetie. Even if you succeeded in eating Weedle, you would've died because it's a poisonous bug," said Buster.

"Judging by the way those bumps are purple, looks like you got poisoned by the stings," said Misty.

"Samurai, do you have an antidote to treat Sweetie?" asked Mary.

"Here," said Samurai, tossing the bottle to Mary, which she caught. Samurai turned to Ash. "I hope you've learned your lesson, novice! Your letting that Weedle escape almost cost our lives!" said Samurai. Ash got up angrily.

"Take back that novice crack!" said Ash.

"Yeah! You better!" said Fifi.

"I do take that crack back, 'cause a novice wouldn't abandon his Pokémon as you did!" said Samurai.

"I tried to save Metapod," said Ash.

"But let's not forget, this whole mess is your fault 'cause you caused it in the first place!" said Mary.

"Well, did you ever fight Gary and some other Trainer?" asked Ash. "

There were two spectacular matches. Each one more challenging than the last. Those trainers really knew how to raise Pokémon. Even though I was defeated twice, I was inspired to redouble my own training. I have been waiting for the day I would finally beat that trainer," said Samurai.

"So that's why you were waiting for Ash and Mary to show up," said Misty.

"Yes. But you, Ash, are nothing but a joke," said Samurai. Ash growled. Suddenly, Buster punched Samurai in the gut. He wheezed as he clutched his gut.

"Will you stop badmouthing him like that? It's your fault that Ash lost his Metapod! If you had been patient and let Ash catch the Weedle uninterrupted, this never would've happened!" scolded Mary.

"But he . . . ," said Samurai.

"I don't want to hear you putting the blame on Ash when it's your fault!" said Buster.

"Buster is right. You should've been more patient in that situation. Just like Misty needs to be patient about getting her bike fixed," said Mary.

"With zat attitude of yours, you just showed zat you're a samurai with no honor," said Fifi coldly. Samurai growled angrily.

Very soon, night came once again and everybody was asleep. Everybody except Samurai. All he could think about was the harsh truth that Ash and the toons said to him. Samurai sighed sadly. "Ash is right. They're all right. It is my fault. I have to make this right tomorrow," said Samurai.

It was now morning. Samurai changed into his armor and quietly went out of the cabin. He had a protection net over himself to protect himself from the Beedrill's stingers. However, Bookworm saw Samurai sneaking out and followed him. "Don't worry, Metapod. I promise you I'll bring you back to Ash safely," whispered Samurai as he snuck quietly toward the Kakuna and Beedrill nest. Just then, Meowth jumped into his path.

"Where do you think you're going?" asked Meowth. Samurai kicked Meowth.

"Ssshhh! Quiet! You wanna wake up the Beedrills?!" said Samurai. Meowth tried to scratch him, but Samurai blocked him with his sword. Meowth broke his claws.

"Argh! My claws!" cried Meowth.

"Shut up already," said Samurai.

(Insert "Team Rocket Motto, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)

But then, Samurai saw Jessie and James on a cliff above them. "Who are you?!" asked Samurai. Team Rocket began to say their motto.

"To protect the world from devastation," said Jessie.

"To unite all people within our nation," said James.

(End Music)

But then, Samurai slashed at Jessie and James. This caused half of Jessie's hair to fall off and James' pants to fall down. "My hair!" cried Jessie. James blushed red in embarrassment, seeing that his pants were off.

"What did you do that for?!" asked James.

"How dare you cut my hair! Do you know how long it took for me to have it grow that long?!" asked Jessie.

"You idiots! Don't you realize that we're near a Kakuna nest?! And there are Beedrills there too!" said Samurai.

(Insert "Raid" from Pokémon)

But the Beedrills were now awake and they were angry. Samurai gasped. He turned to Team Rocket. "You fatheads, you awakened those Beedrills! And they're coming for us, including you!" said Samurai.

"Samurai boy, why don't you tell us where the twerps are so we can steal the head twerps' Pikachu and they're other rare Pokémon. There's no use in resisting us. Now be smart and tell us where they are," said Jessie.

"I'll never tell them where they are! Never!" said Samurai defiantly. Samurai began to run toward the Kakuna tree.

"Come back here!" said Jessie & James, jumping off the cliff and onto the ground. Samurai just ignored Team Rocket and ran for the tree.

"If I make it past the Beedrill, then they'll dive bomb Team Rocket. Team Rocket will have to get past their stingers to get to me!" said Samurai. Team Rocket continued to chase after Samurai. The Beedrills then swooped toward Samurai. "Now!" said Samurai. Samurai did a dodge roll to avoid the Beedrills' poisonous stingers. Jessie and James gasped when they saw the Beedrills coming at them.

"The tank will surely come in handy now!" said Jessie.

"It was worth the struggle dragging it here," said James. He picked up the tank. But when he did, he saw that a bunch of Weedle were eating it. Bookworm was also eating the tank too. Jessie gasped.

"Meowth! They're eating the tank!" cried Meowth.

"Well, we made it from paper to reduce the weight," said James.

"Who knew," said Jessie. Bookworm belched.

"Numbskulls!" said Meowth. Without the tank, they had no protection against the Beedrills. Team Rocket began to run from the Beedrills.

"Now that they're out of the way, I can continue my mission," said Samurai.

But as Samurai approached the Kakuna tree, he began to hear a voice. "Finally, a Pokémon that I can easily make a pet," said the voice. Samurai saw that it was Elmyra. And she had Metapod in her grasp.

"Metapod! Metapod!" said Metapod. Samurai gasped.

"I'm gonna hold you, squeeze you and love you forever!" said Elmyra.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?! That's Ash's Metapod!" said Samurai.

"It's mine now," said Elmyra.

"No way!" said Samurai. He began to charge at the two. Sorry for what I'm about to do, Metapod, thought Samurai. He then kicked Metapod out of Elmyra's grasp.

"Hey!" cried Elmyra. He then punched Elmyra, sending her rolling back toward the tree. Samurai managed to grab Metapod before he hit the ground. Elmyra crashed into the tree and some honey splattered onto her. Not long after that, some leaves fell. The crashed alerted the Beedrills that weren't chasing Team Rocket. They charged at Elmyra, pointing their stingers at Elmyra. She screamed as they began to sting her.

As Samurai carried Metapod, he heard Ash's voice. "Samurai," said Ash. He then saw Ash and his friends.

"Ash, I got Metapod," said Samurai.

"All by yourself?" asked Buster.

"Yes. You're right. Everything that happened yesterday was all my fault. And I'm sorry. So rescuing your Metapod is my way of restoring my honor," said Samurai. He then handed Metapod back to Ash.

"Metapod, thank goodness you're safe," said Ash. "Metapod," said Metapod.

But then, a lone Beedrill began to charge at Ash and Metapod. Everybody spotted it coming. "Ash!" said Misty.

"Watch out for the twin needle attack!" said Samurai.

"Pikachu!" said Pikachu. As the Beedrill was charging, Metapod suddenly jumped and blocked the giant bee's attack. The attack caused the Beedrill to break one of its own stingers. Metapod fell into Ash's arm. There was nasty cut along it's shell.

"Metapod!" said Ash. The Beedrill flew away. "Are you hurt? Are you okay, Metapod?" asked Ash. The others approached Ash and Metapod. But then, everybody saw a bright light coming from the crack in Metapod. Misty gasped.

"Pika pika," said Pikachu.

"Eet's evolving," said Fifi. Emerging from Metapod's shell, was the final evolution. It was a vaguely anthropomorphic butterfly. Unlike true insects, it only had four legs, which were a pale blue color. It had a nose-like structure, which is a similar color. The coloration of it's body was a darker purple-blue. It had large veined wings, which were white with black markings. These markings helped distinguish male and female individuals. It had large compound eyes that were a reddish color. Like members of the order Lepidoptera, it's two pairs of wings were covered in fine scales. Its legs were covered in fine hairs, which aid in the collection of honey. The butterfly Pokémon took to the sky and began to fly around. Ash took out his Pokédex to get data on his new Pokémon.

"Butterfree," said Ash.

"Oh, it's so beautiful," said Misty.

"Pika," said Pikachu.

"Ooh la la," said Fifi.

"Butterfree. One week after Caterpie evolves into Metapod, it again evolves into Butterfree," said the Pokédex. Then, everybody began to hear a moan. They all turned and saw what looked a large monster with purple warts, green hair, slimy yellow skin and torn clothes walking toward them. Everybody screamed at the sight of it.

"It's a monster!" cried Misty. The monster let out some unintelligent speech. But as the toons listened closely, it sounded like it was saying, "bunny wunny, kitty witty and birdie".

"That's no monster. That's Elmyra," said Sweetie.

"It looks like she got attacked by the Beedrills too," said Mary.

And speaking of which, the Beedrill swarm was coming back, intending on finishing Ash and his friends once and for all! "Here come the other Beedrills!" said Misty.

"Butterfree, knock them out with your Sleep Powder!" said Ash. Butterfree began to flap his graceful wings and blue powder was sprinkled toward the Beedrill swarm. Once the Beedrill sniffed the powder, they instantly fell asleep, one by one. Each Beedrill fell out of the sky and hit the ground as they fell asleep. The Weedle along with Team Rocket and Elmyra were sent into dreamland too.

"Yeah! You put them all to sleep! Butterfree, you're the best!" said Ash. Ash and Mary then realized that they had an opportunity to catch new Pokémon. "Mary, let's each catch a Beedrill," said Ash.

"Sure," said Mary. The two each got out of a Poké Ball.

"Poké Ball, go!" said Ash and Mary. The balls each hit one Beedrill, scooping them up. The Poké Balls wobbled until the ding was heard.

"Alright!" said Ash.

"We each got a Beedrill!" said Mary. But then, Ash's Poké Ball disappeared.

"Hey, where'd it go?" asked Ash.

"I read about this. Trainers can only carry six Pokémon at a time. Since Beedrill was your seventh Pokémon, it got transported to Professor Oak's laboratory. But you can change your Pokémon roster whenever we're at a Pokémon Center," said Mary.

"Oh. Okay," said Ash.

"I thought I told you that you can't catch any more Bug Pokémon as long as I'm around!" said Misty.

"And I said you're not the boss of us," said Mary.

Very soon, it was time for Ash and his friends to part ways with Samurai. Sweetie Bird had left earlier. They were on the outskirts of the forest. "This trail will lead you to Pewter City," said Samurai.

"That's great," said Ash.

"Compared with you my friends, I am the novice. But I will keep perfecting my technique and one day, we will meet and battle again," said Samurai.

"I sure it'll be a most spectacular match," said Mary.

"That is guaranteed. By the way, you might need this, Mary," said Samurai. He gave Mary what looked like a black and yellow stone.

"What is it?" asked Mary.

"I don't know. But it seems to resonate with Beedrill. You might need this," said Samurai.

"Thanks," said Mary.

"Until then, Samurai. And thank you for saving my Metapod," said Ash.

"See ya!" said Misty.

"Pikachu," said Pikachu.

"Au revoir," said Fifi, waving her tail.

"Farewell," said Samurai. With Team Rocket and Elmyra thwarted for now, Ash and his friends leave the Viridian Forest and set their sights on Pewter City. And so the journey of Ash and the Tiny Toons continue.

Back in the Viridian Forest, Team Rocket and Elmyra were in the Kakuna tree, in some Kakuna shaped bags. "Do you have any more bright ideas?" asked James.

"Well, unlike you, at least I have ideas," said Jessie.

"Yeah. And they're all bad," said Meowth.

"Who asked you?!" asked Jessie. Unfortunately for Team Rocket, the Kakuna heard them. The Beedrill were woken up by Team Rocket's bickering.

"Uh-oh!" cried James.

"Oh no!" cried Jessie.

"Not again," said Elmyra. Very soon, all the Beedrill began stinging Team Rocket and Elmyra. The whole forest echoed with the villains' cries of pain. For they were in a world of hurt. And that humiliation literally stung them!

Sneak Peek

On the next episode of "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto", Ash and co. finally arrive at Pewter City. Once there, Ash and Mary decided to challenge the Gym Leader, Brock in order to get their first badge to enter the Indigo League Tournament. Not only that, the toons reunite with Shirley the Loon, who has gained a vast knowledge about Pokémon during her time at the city. Will Ash and Mary beat Brock and get their first badges? And is there more to the mysterious rock seller, Flint? Find out, in "Pewter City Showdown" on "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto"!

Well Barnebus, you wanted Sweetie to get stung by Beedrills, I granted your wish as you read. And this time, Samurai is the one who attempts to rescue Metapod the day that it evolves into Butterfree. The stone that he gave Mary, you readers can probably guess what it is and why it works with Beedrill. So next time, both Ash and Mary will have their first Gym Battles. Ash will get the Boulder Badge the right way this time, finishing the battle to the very end. Same thing with Cerulean Gym when I get to the episode. Plus, they're going to challenge the gyms in the order of the games. So after Vermillion Gym, then will be Celadon, then Fuchsia and then Saffron. Not only that, Shirley the Loon is going to travel with them and she's going to be a big contribution in helping Ash grow stronger than canon.
