Episode 12: Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village
(Insert "Pokémon, I Choose You" from Pokémon)
Our young Pokémon Trainer, Ash leads his partners and friends deep into the forest. Since he doesn't have a compass, Ash must rely purely on his instincts. And that means trouble.
(End Music)
Right now, Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock, Mary Melody, Fifi La Fume, Buster Bunny, Shirley the Loon, Hamton Pig, Dizzy Devil, Bookworm and Fowlmouth were traveling through some tall grass. Pikachu rested on top of Ash's backpack as he was walking. "Don't worry. I'm positive this way will take us back to the path," said Buster.
"Pika," said Pikachu.
"Positive, huh?" asked Brock, doubtfully.
"That's what you said an hour ago. I'm tired. I told you to see to the main road, but you had to take a short cut," complained Misty.
"I took a short cut?! It was you who told us to go this way!" yelled Buster.
"Ha! If I was leading, we wouldn't have gotten lost like this!" yelled Misty.
"Who says we're lost?!" asked Buster angrily.
"Listen, genius! If you don't where you are or where you're going, that means you're lost!" yelled Misty.
"I told you to see to the main road, but you had to take a short cut," said Buster.
"Chill, chill!" said Brock.
"Alright. But remind to yell at some more when we get to Vermillion City," said Misty.
"Not if I glue your mouth shut first," said Buster. Ash was silent and was in deep thought.
"Time for a break," said Ash as he and the others sat down on some rocks. Mary decided to let Bulbasaur out of her Poké Ball so she could get some fresh air. She turned to Ash.
"Ash, you've been quiet lately. You didn't even step in to stop the argument between Buster and Misty. Is something wrong?" asked Mary.
"I guess I'm still troubled by how the way that Perfecto Prep abused the Pokémon Tech students and the Pokémon from the events of yesterday," said Ash. The atmosphere grew somber hearing what Ash said.
"It just sickens that there are people out there who abuse Pokémon like that and only care about winning and not treating battles as fun," said Ash.
"There will people like that out there, Ash. And it probably won't be the last time," said Brock. Bookworm nodded in agreement. Just then, Ash saw a Pokémon taking a drink at a nearby pond. It resembled a plant bulb with round feet. Its body was blue in coloration, and it had beady red eyes. It had five green leaves sprouting from its head with the top of the center leaf bent backwards.
"Oh wow. A Pokémon!" said Ash. He took out his Pokédex to get data on it.
"Oddish. This Pokémon is typically found roaming the forest, scattering pollen as it walks around," said the Pokédex.
"I'll catch it!" said Ash, ready to take out a Pokéball, so he can send a Pokémon to battle it.
"Hold it," said Misty.
"What for?" asked Ash.
"Because I'm gonna catch that Pokémon," said Misty.
"Aw, no way, Misty! I saw it first!" said Ash.
"But we found it around the water. Water is my specialty," said Misty.
"It's not actually a Water-type Pokémon, its supposed to be a Grass & Poison Type Pokémon. It says so in one of my books. Isn't those leaves sticking out of its head proof enough?" asked Shirley.
"What if those leaves are actually a type of seawe . . . ," said Misty. But she stopped when she heard the Oddish leaving the area.
(Insert "A Huge Free-for-All" from Pokémon)
"Go, Starmie!" said Misty. She called upon her Starmie. Its red gem has been replaced ever since it was shattered during its battle against Giselle's Graveller. It went in front of Oddish, blocking it.
"Oddish?" cried Oddish. It began to run the other way.
"Water Gun, now!" cried Misty. Starmie squirted water at Oddish. "Now that's the way to spray! Tackle it, Starmie!" said Misty. Starmie spun around tackled Oddish.
"Oddish!" cried Oddish as it got tackled. It fell to the ground, with swirls in its eyes.
"That weakened it! Gonna catch it now! Pokéball, go!" said Misty. She threw the ball to catch it. Before the Poké Ball could hit Oddish, somebody deflected the Poké Ball right back at Misty. It clonked Misty, hitting her on the head. A goose egg formed on her head too.
"Who dares interfere with my attempt to catching Oddish?!" asked Misty.
"Me," said a voice. It was Elmyra Duff.
"Oh no," groaned Buster.
"Isn't zere a cell zat can keep you shut een?!" asked Fifi.
"I'm a toon. No cell can hold me with my strength," said Elmyra.
"What do you think you're doing?! That's my Pokémon I want to catch!" said Misty.
"But that Pokémon looks cute. I want all the Pokémon I consider cute!" said Elmyra. Starmie tried to attack Elmyra, but the human toon grabbed the purple starfish. She began to slam Starmie on the ground like she usually does with the other animals she abused. Misty gasped, seeing her Starmie getting abused.
"Stop it! Leave Starmie alone!" said Misty. Elmyra then threw Starmie at Misty and it hit her, causing the two to topple over. "Oh, Starmie. Are you okay?" asked Misty. All ten of Starmie's limbs drooped down. Elmyra began to advance toward Oddish. Oddish trembled and whimpered due to see how she rough handled Starmie.
"Now you're all mine, little walking weed. I'm gonna hold you, squeeze you and love you to pieces," said Elmyra.
"We gotta stop her!" cried Brock. Suddenly, a vine extended and whipped Elmyra in the back.
"Ow!" cried Elmyra.
"Nice job with the Vine Whip, Bulbasaur!" said Mary.
"Uh, that wasn't me," said Bulbasaur.
"Huh?" asked everybody. Then, without warning, something tackled Elmyra, knocking her down.
"Hey!" cried Elmyra. The attacker was another Bulbasaur. This one was a wild male.
"Wow! Another Bulbasaur!" said Ash excitedly. He got out his Pokédex to get data on it.
"Bulbasaur. It bears the seed of a plant on its back from birth. The seed slowly develops. Researchers are unsure whether to classify Bulbasaur as a plant or animal. Bulbasaur are extremely tough and very difficult to capture in the wild," said Ash's Pokédex.
"Oh no! Not you again!" said Elmyra. Apparently, the Bulbasaur and Elmyra knew each other. The wild Bulbasaur growled angrily at the animal abusing girl, not happy to see her. "How long are you gonna keep getting in my way of getting new pet?!" asked Elmyra.
"As long as you keep abusing the Pokémon you try to catch, I'll always be there to protect them. I guess I'm gonna have to teach you another lesson," said the wild Bulbasaur. The wild Bulbasaur hurled some razor leaves at Elmyra. The leaves cut at Elmyra's skin and tore parts of her clothing & wig.
"Ow! Ow!" cried Elmyra. Bulbasaur then began to spank Elmyra with his Vine Whip. Elmyra yelped as she got whipped in the butt. As Bulbasaur attacked Elmyra, Fifi noticed that the burn on Elmyra's arm inflicted by the Arcanine parents was still there.
"Mary, look at Elmyra's arm," said Fifi. Mary saw the burn.
"That burn from when the Arcanine parents used that flaming meteor combo attack, it didn't really heal," said Mary.
"Oui. I would've thought eet would've healed since she's a toon," said Fifi.
"There are probably some things about the physics of the Pokémon world we still don't know about," said Mary. The wild Bulbasaur then wrapped its vines around Elmyra. He slammed her on the ground, face first several times. After that, he began to spin her around.
"I'm getting dizzy!" cried Elmyra. The Grass & Poison Pokémon then let go and sent Elmyra flying and screaming into the distance.
"There's more where that came from if you ever dare show your face again!" said the wild Bulbasaur. Some of the toons were laughing at what happened to Elmyra. Mary was one of the few people who wasn't laughing since she believed she could reach out to Elmyra somehow. Mary's Bulbasaur was impressed by how well the wild one fought. She was even blushing.
"What a man," said Mary's Bulbasaur.
"Now it's my turn to try! Bulbasaur is mine!" said Ash, getting a Pokéball ready.
"Butterfree, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the Pokéball and Butterfree came out. Butterfree chirped as it was called to battle. "Butterfree, Sleep Powder!" said Ash. Butterfree sprinkled its Sleep Powder toward Bulbasaur. But the Grass Pokémon was ready for it. He took a deep breath and he exhaled a strong breath of wind, blowing the Sleep Powder back toward Butterfree. Butterfree began to feel sleepy. Butterfree fell out of the sky and onto the ground. "Augh! Come on, hang in there, Butterfree!" said Ash. Butterfree struggled to get back up, but it was too drowsy. Bulbasaur tackled Butterfree, defeating it. "Oh no!" said Ash.
(End Music)
Oddish ran into the bushes along with Bulbasaur. "Butterfree, return!" said Ash. He returned Butterfree to its Pokéball. "We can't let that Bulbasaur escape. I may have lost my chance to get Bulbasaur when I started my journey, but I can't let this one slip through my fingers," said Ash.
"I would love to get to know him. I love a strong man," said Mary's Bulbasaur.
"Ooh la la. Looks like somebody's gaining a crush," said Fifi.
"I admit it. I'm getting a crush on him," said Mary's Bulbasaur. Ash and co. then began to go in the direction that wild Bulbasaur went. Mary returned her Bulbasaur to its Poké Ball.
Very soon, Ash and his friends began to cross a wooden bridge that crossed a river. "Let's cross this bridge. I'll bet there are Bulbasaur all over this place," said Ash.
"But where is this place?" asked Misty.
"I can't find this bridge on my map," said Brock. Most of the toons crossed first and made it to the other side. Then, it was Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock and Buster's turns to cross the bridge. Unfortunately, there was a strong wind that rocked the bridge. Everybody yelped as the bridge shook. Worse still, the ropes of part of the bridge broke. The bridge titled sideways and everybody screamed. Ash grabbed onto one of the rope railings. Pikachu clung onto Ash's backpack. Buster clung onto Ash's leg, while Misty clung onto Buster's. Brock clung onto the wooden part of the bridge. The toons gasped.
"Pikachu!" cried Fifi.
"Buster!" cried Mary. But disaster struck and Brock fell off the bridge.
"Brock's falling!" said Ash. Brock fell into the river below with a splash!
"We have to get back up! It's our only chance!" cried Misty.
"Pika Pi!" said Pikachu.
"I gotta try!" said Ash.
"Pull as hard as you can!" said Misty.
"You're too heavy, Misty!" cried Buster.
"I'm not fat!" cried Misty.
"Stop arguing and let's climb up!" said Ash.
Very soon, Ash and Co. (minus Brock) managed to climb to safety. "Whew! I'm totally wiped out," said Ash. Fifi hugged Pikachu.
"Oh Pikachu. Zank heavens you're safe. I thought you were gonna fall," said Fifi.
"Okay, okay. I'm fine. Just let go of me," said Pikachu.
"We can't rest now, we gotta find Brock," said Misty.
"Right," said Ash. They began to run down the river. "Hurry up!" said Ash.
"Pika!" said Pikachu. Suddenly, they heard Misty yelp. Ash and the others turned around and saw that Misty fell into a hole.
"Whoa! How'd you get down there?" asked Ash.
"I fell in! How else? What's a trap doing here?" asked Misty.
"It seems pretty strange," said Buster.
"Must be Team Rocket's doing or something," said Hamton.
"But I don't sense those losers anywhere near us," said Shirley.
"Just help me out! Quick!" said Misty.
"This is just not our day," said Ash.
"You can say that again, Ash," said Mary.
"Pikachu," said Pikachu. After helping Misty out of the hole, Ash and the group were on the move again. "Brock! Hey, Brock!" said Ash.
"Do you think they washed this far down this stream?" asked Misty.
"I don't know, Misty," said Fifi. But then, Misty's foot got caught in a branch and she along with others were caught in a tree snare net. Everybody yelped. "Le hey!" cried Fifi.
"How'd we get up in a tree?!" cried Ash.
"It's another trap!" cried Buster.
"Do something!" said Misty.
"What can we do?" asked Hamton.
"Try wiggling! Maybe the net will open," said Misty. Ash began to wiggle the net.
"This is dumb!" said Ash.
"You got any better ideas, let's hear them," said Shirley.
"Pi Pika Pi," said Pikachu.
"Maybe I could melt ze net weeth my steenk!" said Fifi.
"Are you nuts?! You'll get us all stinky in the process!" said Mary.
"This net rope too thick for Dizzy to bite!" cried Dizzy. Just then, everybody heard the wild Bulbasaur's voice. Ash and Co. looked down and saw it.
"It's that same Bulbasaur!" said Ash. Bulbasaur began to walk away. "Hold it there, Bulbasaur! You better get us out of here!" said Ash.
"Now you're wiggling too much! Ouch! You kicked me!" cried Misty.
"Bulbasaur!" said Ash as he struggled to get out. Pikachu's face was getting pushed into Fifi's bosom. Fifi felt rather embarrassed as indicated by her face turning red.
"I know I like to have you close to moi, but not in conditions like zis," said Fifi. Fowlmouth was cursing up a storm due to being squished in between some of his friends.
Miles away from where Ash and the toons were at, the Team Rocket trio were planning another Pokémon theft. They had some bandages from when they were attacked by the Perfecto Prep students. They all had a pair of binoculars. "The village that we're looking for should be on the other side of that bridge," said Jessie.
"Let's just hope the rumors are true," said James.
"Hee, hee, hee! Just wait and see what Team Rocket's planned for you, you delicious little village," said Meowth.
"And with all the Pokémon, nobody can stop us. Not even those jerks from Perfecto Prep," said James. But however, Team Rocket's conversation was being overheard by Elmyra who had recovered from her skirmish with Bulbasaur.
"An entire village of fuzzy wuzzy Pokémon. I got to get there first. But first, I better make talking kitty my pet," said Elmyra.
"Gee, I wonder what happened to Brock?" asked Ash.
"I wonder too," said Misty.
"The rest of us are wondering as well," said Buster.
"Maybe the river carried him far away. All the way to the ocean. Then some pirates spotted him and brought him aboard their ship and one of the pirates has a wooden leg," said Ash.
"And maybe those pirates were cursed by Aztec gold and turn into undead skeletons in the light of a full moon. And they made Brock touch some of the gold," said Buster.
"Or worse, he could've been fished out by an old hag near ze river," said Fifi.
"You guys have a crazy imagination," said Misty.
"Chu," said Pikachu.
"If pirates did find him, then came a storm," said Ash.
"Ahoy!" called a voice. It was Brock.
"Hey, Brock!" said Ash.
"Why are you hanging around up in that tree?" asked Brock. Brock used a knife to cut the rope that suspended the net. The net fell with a loud thud, with everybody in the net yelping as they landed. Pikachu landed on Fifi's breasts, again.
"Le eek!" cried Fifi. She slapped Pikachu away from her, leaving a red hand mark.
"Pika!" cried Pikachu. Fifi covered her bosom with her hands.
"Don't put your face een my breasts unless I want vous to!" cried Fifi.
"Thanks, but maybe next time, you could let us down a little more gently," said Hamton.
"Yeah, sure. Sorry," said Brock.
"We've been looking all over for you," said Misty.
"We saw you fall into the river," sad Buster.
"Like, then what happened?" asked Shirley.
"Well, I was being washed away in the rapids. The girl who saved my life was incredibly beautiful," said Brock.
"A beautiful girl, huh?" asked Ash.
"Zat's even better zan ze pirates," said Fifi.
"Unless, of course, she was really a pirate in disguise," joked Buster.
"Maybe it's time to get a reality check," said Mary. Some of the toons laughed.
Very soon, Ash and his friends arrived to where the girl lived. She had blue hair & eyes and wore an orange headband, a pink shirt, red overalls, a green bow on the back off her hair and orange shoes. She lived in a small cabin next to a small lake. The girl turned around and saw Ash and Co. "Oh," said the girl.
"Melanie, this is Ash, Misty, Buster, Fifi, Shirley, Dizzy, Hamton, Bookworm, Fowlmouth and Mary," said Brock.
"Hello," said Ash.
"So you're Brock's friends. He told me all about you," said Melanie.
"Great," said Fowlmouth.
"Wow. Look at that," said Misty. Everybody saw there were some Pokémon feeding on some of Brock's Pokémon food. There was a Caterpie along with the Oddish Ash and his friends encountered. There was also two Rattatas, a Weepinbell, a Paras, a Staryu and a Magikarp. Paras was the same type of Pokémon that Ash and his friends once encountered at Mt. Moon. It was an insectoid creature resembling the nymph stage of a cicada, with the unique feature of having mushrooms known as tochukaso growing from its back. It grew from spores that are doused on this Pokémon's back at birth by the mushroom on its parent's back. The tochukaso can be removed at any time, although researchers suggest that Paras only do so under extreme measures. It had six legs with the front pair being the largest. Paras had six dotted specks on their forehead and two teeth on either side of their mouth. The mouth appeared to be vertical, similar to Pinsir's.
"Do all those Pokémon belong to you?" asked Hamton.
"Oh no," said Melanie.
"This is place where Pokémon are able to rest and relax," said Brock.
"Like summer camp?" asked Ash.
"Well, sort of, but all year long. You see, when Pokémon get abandoned or injured, they can come here. Melanie takes care of them until they feel better, then they leave," said Brock.
"So zis a Pokémon Center ees Melanie ees a Pokémon doctor," said Fifi.
"Oh no. I'm not qualified to be a Pokémon doctor," said Melanie.
"This is more like a Pokémon health spa," said Brock.
"Here the Pokémon don't battle with one another. They try to relax and enjoy themselves until they recover," said Melanie.
"Cool," said Buster.
"Melanie collects plants to use for medicine. She knows of which plants can help a Pokémon feel better or grow stronger when its too weak," said Brock.
"So you and Melanie both love to take care of Pokémon," said Ash.
"We do," said Brock. He watched as Melanie picked up the Paras.
"Well, it looks like to me there's something else Brock might love," said Misty. Brock's entire head began to blush red in embarrassment. Suddenly, Brock ran to Misty and covered her mouth.
"Be quiet! She might hear you!" said Brock.
"I wonder who put up that net in the tree?" asked Ash.
"Probably the same person who dug the hole I fell into," said Misty.
"I'm sorry. I was the one who set those traps. I wanted to catch Pokémon Trainers before they reach the village. Since you got caught, I guess they really work," said Melanie. She chuckled.
"But why?" asked Fifi.
"There are so many injured Pokémon here. I have to protect them," said Melanie.
"So the bridge was a trap too," said Buster.
"Yes," said Melanie.
"But some of us almost fell to a watery grave that way too," said Buster.
"I'm sorry about that too," said Melanie.
And speaking of which, Team Rocket were now attempting to cross it. They walked slowing along it, put their feet in between the rope railing while holding onto it. "Across this bridge lies a lifetime supply of Pokémon," said Jessie.
"How are we ever gonna carry them all?" asked James.
"Don't worry. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," said Meowth. Suddenly, Meowth felt something yank at his tail causing him to yelp. He turned around and saw that it was Elmyra. Meowth screamed.
"Hi, kitty," said Elmyra.
"Oh great. It's that animal obsessive girl again," groaned Jessie. "
That's our Meowth. Go get your own," said James.
"Don't you realize we're on a bridge that could collapse at any time?!" asked Meowth. Then, one of the ropes of the bridge snapped, causing the bridge to split in two. Team Rocket and Elmyra screamed as they part of the bridge they were holding onto swung toward the cliffside. When the bridge impacted with it, Elmyra and the three dumb Pokémon thieves fell off the bridge. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" screamed Meowth to Elmyra. They all fell into the water with a splash.
"I promised Melanie that we wouldn't capture any Pokémon here," said Brock.
"And did you seal the promise with a kiss?" asked Misty. Suddenly, Brock bonked Misty on the head. "Ow!" cried Misty, feeling part of her head. Brock's face was red once again. "So that must mean you really do love her," said Misty. Brock responded with another punch in the head. "Ow!" cried Misty.
"Well I'll have to keep her promise," said Ash.
"Only bad guys try to capture sick Pokémon," said Mary.
"But are zose traps tough enough to keep robbers from zis place?" asked Fifi.
"I mean, you have to be pretty stupid to fall in one of those holes," said Ash.
"Hey!" said Misty.
Miles away from the hidden village, there was a loud crash and a scream! Team Rocket fell into a hole like the one Misty fell into. "This is the third hole we've fallen into! How come nobody falls in our traps?! We always fall into theirs!" complained Jessie.
"Well, this one was cleverly hidden. Well made . . . ," said James.
"I'm glad you're enjoy it so much!" interrupted Jessie.
"Meowth!" said Meowth. The three thieves began to hear Elmyra's giggling from above them.
"Looks I'll find village cuddly wuddly animals first. I'll come back for you later, kitty," said Elmyra. She then began to leave.
"She just doesn't give up, does she?" groaned Meowth. Without warning, the ground collapsed underneath Elmyra, causing her to scream. For she too fell into a pitfall trap too. "Ha ha! Instant karma!" laughed Meowth.
Later, after Jessie, James and Meowth climbed out of the hole and resumed their search for the hidden village. At this point, a paranoid Meowth was looking left and right. "Meowth, what's your problem?" asked James.
"Don't you know, that Elmyra girl has been stalking us ever since we started our search for the village. And she's after me too. She could pop out anytime," said Meowth.
"Gotcha!" said Elmyra as she leapt at Meowth. Meowth screamed.
"Not this time!" said Jessie. Jessie and James yelled as they were gonna tackle Elmyra. But as luck would have it, something bad happened to all four of them again. This time, they got caught in a tree snare net. Team Rocket and Elmyra yelped as they struggled to break free.
"Get us out of here!" said James.
"Ouch! My tail! Let go! Stop pulling my tail!" cried Meowth. Jessie glared at Elmyra.
"You're making a big mistake, messing with Team Rocket, you little brat! If we got out of here, we're gonna ensure you don't get in our way!" yelled Jessie.
Later, Ash and his friends began to help take care of some of the Pokémon. Ash and Brock were re-hydrating Staryu. Brock used a small pot with a handle to pour water over the water Pokémon. "Do you feel any better yet, Staryu?" asked Ash.
(Insert "Tears After the Cloudy Weather" from Pokémon)
Misty was talking to Oddish. "Sorry about what happened in the forest," said Misty.
"Oddish," said Oddish.
"I shouldn't have surprised you like that. You must've been scared," said Misty.
"Oddish," said Oddish.
"Melanie told me your old trainer got rid of you. Was it really because you were too weak?" asked Misty. Oddish nodded. "You know, some trainers can be insensitive. But not all of us are mean like that," said Misty. She giggled and began to pet Oddish. "You just needs to find a trainer who understands you. Anyway, I'm sorry for what I did and hope we can become friends," said Misty. Tears began to fill in her eyes. "Oddish," said Oddish. Misty began to cry. Oddish used one of its leaves to dry Misty's tears.
"Oddish oddish," said Oddish. "You're sweet, Oddish. I am sorry," said Misty. She continued to cry.
"All I think about lately is winning. I hope I'm not becoming heartless," said Misty.
(End Music)
"You were always heartless," teased Ash.
"Ooh! Le burn!" said Fifi, snickering.
"Mind your own business!" said Misty. Suddenly, something tackled Misty from behind, knocking her down. She turned around and saw it was Bulbasaur. "Hey! It's rude to tackle people!" said Misty.
"She's right!" said Ash. Bulbasaur growled at Ash, Misty and Fifi.
"Why are you growling at us?" asked Fifi.
"I know! You're just mad because I was gonna beat you! But you chickened out and ran off!" said Ash.
"That must be it!" said Misty.
"Then let's see how tough you really are!" said Ash.
"I'm not afraid ov you!" said Fifi. She cocked her tail like a gun and pointed it at Bulbasaur. "One wrong move, and I'll turn you eento mulch weeth my stink!" said Fifi. But then, Melanie stood in between Ash, Fifi and Bulbasaur.
"Please wait. Please. Bulbasaur was only trying to protect Oddish. Bulbasaur volunteered to guard our home village," said Melanie.
"Huh?" asked Ash, Fifi and Misty.
"It protects all the injured Pokémon whenever enemies try to attack them," said Melanie. Ash, Fifi and Misty looked at each other. "Bulbasaur is the bravest and most loyal Pokémon I know," said Melanie.
"So that's why Bulbasaur attacked me. It must've thought I was taking Oddish from the village," said Misty. Just then, Ash heard Bulbasaur's voice again. He looked down and saw Bulbasaur pushing at his leg.
"Now what?" asked Ash.
"Bulbasaur doesn't like Pokémon Trainers. It wants you to leave the village now," said Melanie.
"But we're not here to capture Pokémon. We wanna help you," said Misty.
"It's true Bulbasaur. These are our friends," said Melanie.
"We're not like Elmyra, whom you kicked the butt of earlier," said Buster.
"You know her?" asked Melanie.
"We wish we didn't. She was a former classmate of ours. But due to her antics of always trying to make us our pets, she had to be expelled and moved to another school. Especially after she tried to captured Principal Bugs' girlfriend, Lola," said Buster.
"Her obsession of getting pets got so bad zat all ze animals who aren't students of Acme Looniversity or aren't toons like us all fled Acme Acres just to get away from her," said Fifi.
"And it's her bleep fault along with that bleep Montana Max that we're stuck in this world!" shouted Fowlmouth.
"What do you mean, this world?" asked Melanie.
"Truth is, we toons are from another dimension. So we're trying to find our way home and some of our pals are still lost somewhere," said Shirley.
"I though the whole concept of other dimensions was pure fiction," said Melanie.
"Well, we're proof it isn't," said Dizzy.
"Bulbasaur was worried about the other Pokémon. So it decided to be the village bodyguard. Now that's what I call bravery. It would be great to have a Pokémon like that," said Ash.
Up in the sky, Team Rocket were approaching the village. They weren't traveling in their Meowth Balloon this time. They flying on what appeared to be a giant flying stadium. It was painted black and had balloons attached to it as well. Not only that, they had Elmyra held hostage and she was tied up and gagged. Team Rocket began to recite their motto once again.
(Insert "Team Rocket Motto, Kanto-Johto Version" from Pokémon)
"To protect the world from devastation," said Jessie.
"To unite all people within our nation!" said James.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love," said Jessie.
"To extend our reach to the stars above," said James.
"Jessie," said Jessie.
"James," said James.
"Team Rocket, blasting off at the speed of light!" said Jessie.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" said James.
"That's right!" said Meowth.
"We've set our line! Time to attack the village!" said Jessie.
"Those village idiots thought their measly traps would stop us. They thought they had the home team advantage," said James.
"No such luck since we're the home team now," said Jessie.
"I congratulate myself for this brilliant scheme," said James.
"Don't forget. I suggested tying balloons on the stadium roof," said Meowth.

Down below, everybody heard the Flying Stadium approaching. They turned around and saw it coming. Everybody gasped at the size of the Flying Stadium. "Here we go again!" said Ash.
"Today only at the Jessie Stadium, it's the Team Rocket Pokémon challenge!" said Jessie.
"The Flying Stadium was my idea," said James angrily. Jessie chuckled in embarrassment. Just then, Mary spotted Elmyra all tied up next to Team Rocket. Elmyra tried to say something, but her mouth was taped shut and all that came out were muffled shouts.
"Elmyra?!" asked Mary.
"That's right. This pest kept getting in our way because she wanted to get to the village before us and make me her pet. So, we tied up her up so that she won't interfere with what we're about to do next," said Meowth. Then, a large vacuum hose appeared out of the Flying Stadium.

The vacuum then activated, ready to suck up the Pokémon. "All Pokémon are invited into the stadium," said Jessie.
"Step right up," said James.
"Yeah. We're not hosing ya. Well, maybe we are," said Meowth. Staryu was getting dragged by the vacuum's suction. Ash grabbed Staryu.
"They never run out of ideas, do they?" asked Ash. Brock opened the door to the cabin.
"Hurry! Everybody get into the cabin!" said Brock. Melanie along with the other Pokémon ran toward the cabin.
"Wait!" cried Misty. She was carrying Oddish when she tripped. Oddish was getting dragged by the vacuum. "No! Oddish!" cried Misty. Oddish screamed as it was getting closer to the hose. But then, Bulbasaur used Vine Whip to grab Oddish.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur," said Misty. Buster gave the Staryu to Misty.
"Take Staryu," said Buster. He went up to Bulbasaur & Oddish and began pushing them toward the cabin. "Keep going, Bulbasaur!" said Buster. But then, Mary felt herself getting pulled by the vacuum. She screamed as she was getting dragged.
"Mary!" cried Ash. He grabbed Mary's arms with both hands. Mary's Bulbasaur used one vine to keep Ash from getting sucked himself. She used the other vine to get Mary's feet back onto the ground. After everybody went into the cabin, Misty closed the door.

"The rotten little pet, he is always ruining our flawless plans!" fumed Jessie.
"Not this time. He's gathered them all in one place for us," said James confidently.
"Our super vacuum will suck 'em up!" said Meowth. Team Rocket then aimed the vacuum toward the cabin. As the vacuum was sucking, Team Rocket began to do a ridiculous chant while waving fans with the Team Rocket symbol on them.
"Let's go team! To steal them is our dream! Let's go rocket! With Pokémon in our pocket!" chanted Team Rocket.

Mary's Bulbasaur and the male one finally decided that enough was enough. They climbed up onto the roof of the cabin. "Bulbasaur!" said both Bulbasaurs. They both executed their Vine Whip attacks and whipped the vacuum hose, knocking it away from the cabin.
"Pidgeotto, I choose you!" said Ash. He threw the ball and his bird Pokémon was summoned. Pidgeotto let out a squawk as it flew into the air. "Pidgeotto, Gust attack!" said Ash. Pidgeotto squawked loudly as it flapped its wings, creating strong gust of winds that was forming into a large tornado.
"And the tornado's winding up," said James.
"But will it strike us out?" asked Jessie nervously.
"There goes the whole ballgame," said Meowth. Elmyra's eyes widened seeing the tornado heading for the Flying Stadium. Jessie, James, Meowth and Elmyra were sucked into the tornado, screaming.
"The home team really got blown away!" said James.
"So what are we gonna do now?!" asked Meowth.
"Challenge them to wind surfing?!" asked Jessie. In the process of being sucked up in the tornado, the tape that taped Elmyra's mouth shut was peeled off, so she could finally speak.
"I'm gonna lose my lunch!" cried Elmyra.
"Sorry, Elmyra! Pidgeotto sometimes doesn't know its own strength!" called Ash. The tornado was strong enough to lift the Flying Stadium into the air. Everybody watched as the tornado started to carry Team Rocket, Elmyra and the Flying Stadium away from the village.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" cried Meowth. And they all disappeared.

"Is everyone feeling okay?" asked Melanie.
"I just had the wind knocked out of me," said Ash.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur.
"This village is well protected with Bulbasaur here," said Buster.
"Ash, don't you agree that Bulbasaur would make a great addition to your team?" said Melanie.
"Oh yeah! Would he ever!" said Ash.
"I think Bulbasaur should go with you," said Melanie.
"Huh?" asked Ash. Melanie picked up Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur stayed here to protect the weaker Pokémon, but this village is too small. The bulb on its back can't grow. It needs to go out into the world now. And I know you'll take good care of it. Please do me this favor. Take Bulbasaur with you on your journey. He'll be a good companion," said Melanie.
"But what will happen to the village without Bulbasaur?" asked Misty.
"Yeah. Who's gonna protect you?" asked Brock.
"It's true that Bulbasaur has done a great job. Maybe too great a job. You see, these Pokémon shouldn't remain in this village forever and ever. After they recover, the Pokémon are supposed to leave. But its too safe here that none of them want to go away. They don't want to return the outside world," said Melanie.
"Oddish," said Oddish.
"With Elmyra out zere, I can't how you say, blame zem," said Fifi.
"But I think it's important that all of them return to the wild. That's where Pokémon belong. And hopefully someday, they'll find good trainers like you. Of course, taking care of sick Pokémon will always be my mission. I know my job isn't finished until they return to where they came from. So it's the day the Pokémon leaves that is rewarding to me," said Melanie.
"Melanie. I . . . ," said Brock.
"So you see, it's time for Bulbasaur to leave here. Please take it with you. It won't be a burden. I promise. Bulbasaur still has a lot of growing to do. I want it to be in a place where I'm sure it can grow strong and be happy. I'm sure that place is with you, Ash," said Melanie. Ash nodded.
"Well, if you really wanted me to . . . ," said Ash.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur. Melanie giggled.
"What did it say?" asked Ash.
"Bulbasaur will join you on one condition. It wants to battle you in a Pokémon match, right Bulbasaur?" asked Melanie.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur.
"Ha! If you wanna match, you'll get it!" said Ash.
"Oh please let me battle with Bulbasaur. Please, pretty please?" asked Misty.
"No way!" said Ash.
"None of your Water Pokémon stand a chance against it," said Fowlmouth.
"Well, you do realize that once you capture it, it's gonna be transported back to Professor Oak's lab since you can only carry up to six Pokémon," said Mary.
"Don't worry. I have a PC, so you can deposit a Pokémon before your battle," said Mary.
"Thanks," said Ash. After Ash deposited his Rattata, he was ready to battle Bulbasaur. For the battle, he was gonna use Pikachu.
"Pika," said Pikachu.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur. Everybody watched as the battle was about to begin.

"Pikachu, go!" said Ash. Pikachu charged toward Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur unleashed some vines, but Pikachu dodged them one by one. Bulbasaur charged at Pikachu as well and tackled him.
"Cha!" said Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" said Ash. Pikachu struggled to its feet. "Look out, Pikachu!" said Ash. Bulbasaur tackled Pikachu again, but this time, Pikachu landed on its feet.
"Come on, Pikachu. You can beat heem! Type advantage doesn't matter!" said Fifi. Pikachu did a tackle of his own, knocking Bulbasaur onto the ground. This made Bulbasaur angry. He summoned forth his vines and tied Pikachu. The next thing the grass Pokémon did was that he began to slam Pikachu to the ground while he still had him tied up. Ash gritted his teeth.
"The vine whip is Bulbasaur's special move," said Misty.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" said Ash.
"Pikachuuuuuuu!" said Pikachu as he unleashed some electricity. The electricity traveled up Bulbasaur's vines like lightning rods until they reached Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur screamed as he was zapped by the vines. After he received the full force of the Thunderbolt, Bulbasaur let go of Pikachu and toppled onto its back, defeated and smoking. Ash took out an empty Pokéball.
"Alright! Pokéball, go!" said Ash. He threw the ball and when it hit Bulbasaur, it scooped it up. Once again, the Pokéball was shaking with the button glowing red. Then, the Pokéball stopped shaking and the glowing faded.
(End Music)
"We did it! We got Bulbasaur!" said Ash, doing a victory pose.
"Pi pikachu!" said Pikachu, doing the same pose.
"Bulbasaur, I'll miss you," said Melanie.
(Insert "Alouette")
Fifi ran up to Pikachu and scooped him into her arms once again. Her eyes were once again pink hearts. "Way to go, Pikachu mon amore! You helped Ash catch another new Pokémon! I'm so proud of vous, my Pika Provolone!" cried Fifi happily. The lovesick skunkette once again began planting lipstick kisses all over Pikachu's face. And her smell was going off too. Everybody stood there distance so they won't breathe in Fifi's stinky smell. After covering Pikachu's face with lipstick marks, Fifi then began to smother his face with her breasts. Fifi giggled as she pressed Pikachu into her bosom. Unfortunately, Pikachu's air was starting to get cut off from the breast smothering. And Fifi's natural scent was helping his situation either. The electric mouse fell out of Fifi's arms and landed on the ground with a thud, unconscious.

"Oh, he's no fun. He fainted," huffed Fifi.
"Fifi, you were suffocating him with your melons. You practically cut off his air supply that way," said Shirley.
"Lee oops," said Fifi as her cheeks turned red in embarrassment.
"Melons?" asked Ash.
"It's another term for a woman's breasts," said Brock.
After Pikachu regained consciousness, it was time for Ash and his friends to leave. Ash's new Bulbasaur was currently out of its Pokéball along with Mary Melody's. "Have a safe trip," said Melanie.
"I promise to take good care of Bulbasaur," said Ash. Melanie kneeled down and began to pat Bulbasaur on the head.
"Bulbasaur, thank you for watching over us," said Melanie.
"Bulba," said Bulbasaur.
"Uh, Melanie, I've been thinking . . . ," said Brock.
"Yes?" asked Melanie.
"Since Bulbasaur is leaving, I wouldn't mind staying and helping you out," said Brock.
"It's very kind of you. But we'll be okay. I wouldn't want to keep you from all of your wonderful adventure," said Melanie. "Oh yeah. I guess you're right," said Brock.
(Insert "To Be Continued" from Pokémon)
Very soon, everybody began to leave. "Goodbye, Melanie," said Ash.
"Goodbye. Good luck," said Melanie as she waved goodbye. Oddish waved goodbye by waving its leaves.
"Bulbasaur," said Bulbasaur.
"Don't worry, Bulbasaur. You'll see your friends again. As the Pokémon feel better, they'll leave the village too," said Ash.
"Bulba," said Bulbasaur.
"Take good care of each other! Bye bye," said Melanie. Brock took one last look at Melanie and turned toward the path ahead of him.
"So, what did Melanie said when you said you loved her? Did you kiss her goodbye?" asked Misty. Then, Brock, who was very embarrassed, covered her mouth.
"That's enough stupid questions! Will you please stop embarrassing already? Okay, she's cute. I'll understand that . . . ," said Brock.
"Did I miss something? What's going on?" asked Ash.
"Bulba," said Bulbasaur. Mary's Bulbasaur went up to Ash's Bulbasaur.
"You know, we made a good team the way that we whipped Team Rocket's vacuum away from the cabin. I was also impressed by the way you defended Oddish from that Elmyra creep," said Mary's Bulbasaur.
"Thanks," said Ash's Bulbasaur.
"You know, you're not just strong and brave, you're kind of cute," said Mary's Bulbasaur. She winked at Ash's Bulbasaur. The male Bulbasaur blushed, earning a giggle from the female Bulbasaur. As Ash and co. walked to their next destination, Mary began thinking about how Ash saved her earlier.
Ash, he was so brave coming to save me from being sucked by Team Rocket's vacuum. He really is a great person, thought Mary. She began to blush thinking about Ash. With Bulbasaur now on his side, it looks like Ash is expanding his dream team. Now its onto Vermillion City. Let's just hope our heroes don't take any more short cuts, or we may never get there.

Gag Credits: Melanie's traps seem to worked better than traps that involved ACME products.
Shirley: Like, see you next episode.
Sneak Peek
On the next episode of "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto", our heroes come across a Charmander that is waiting for its Trainer to return from an errand. But they learn that the Trainer is actually a creep named Damian who views Charmander as weak and tricked him into waiting when he actually abandoned it. Not helping is that it rains and Charmander has to be rushed to the Pokémon Center. Will Nurse Joy be able to save Charmander? And when Team Rocket try to steal the heroes' Pokémon, can the toons outwit them? Find out, in "Charmander the Stray Pokémon" on "Tiny Toon Adventures in Kanto"!
I hoped you enjoyed my latest episode. As you read, Team Rocket have a limit to how long they can put up with Elmyra's stupidity. In later episodes, the trio of Pokémon thieves will do nastier things to Elmyra, especially when Ekans and Weezing evolve later. And it looks like Mary is starting to gain a crush on Ash. The seeds of the Ash Ketchum X Mary Melody shipping for this story have been planted. It won't be long before it'll start to bloom. Plus, their Bulbasaurs will have a romance too. Before I work on Charmander the Stray Pokémon, my brother would like me to put more effort into the Tiny Toons and Kamen Rider crossover that I was writing for my other Pokémon and Tiny Toons verse. So please have patience for the next episode. See you next time.
