Bertrand floated close to Paulina, who still didn't notice the ghost.
"Do you mind? I was here..." Paulina started, turning around.
"...first?"
Bertrand roared, causing Paulina and the clerk to scream before running away. Danny phases himself and the girls into the building, seeing that Bertrand was about to attack Paulina. Danny set Charlie down before flying over and punched him away.
"I know you need your makeup, but you're just gonna have to wait your turn," Danny told him.
Bertrand just knocked Danny back, shooting an ectoblast at him. Danny dodges and the people start to notice the fight. Knowing that Danny could fight and keep people safe at the same time, Charlie and Emily quickly started to help everyone out.
"Everyone please remain calm and head towards the nearest exit," Charlie said, helping an old woman towards the exit.
"Phantom will keep the ghost busy long enough for everyone to leave," Emily added, reuniting a child with their parents.
Once they got everyone out, they turned to see that Danny was still dodging and had a worried look on his face.
"Danny..." Emily sighs.
"Damn it! This isn't like him." Charlie said, knowing something was off.
"You're not very good at this, are you?" Bertrand asked, after knocking Danny away.
"Yeah, well, maybe I don't need to be to beat you!" Danny said, trying to save face.
Bertrand changes into a green wolf, surprising Danny.
"Then again," He added, worried.
"Daniel! Stop doubting yourself! You nothing what Spectra said!" Emily shouted.
"Oh, look. The little loser ghost has a baby helper." Bertrand mocked.
"BABY?!" Emily shouted, angrily.
"Do...not..call..me...a LOSER!" Danny shouted.
Danny blasts Bertrand into a glass display case before flying up. He shoots a bigger blast that Bertrand dodges. He looked around and saw the mess that was made.
"Well, that's enough damage for one afternoon." He said, changing back to normal.
"Ta-ta!" He said, floating away.
Charlie and Emily growl at the ghost, now rethinking their choice about carrying a Fenton Thermos. They heard Danny groan and saw him upset.
"Great, he got away again. Another ringing endorsement for the town screw-up." Danny said, sighing.
"Danny, will you knock it off!?" Charlie shouted, tired of hearing this.
"You're not a screw-up or a loser! We have been friends for two years! You were never those things!" Charlie said, grabbing him.
"But he..." Danny started.
"We can't win them all! But that doesn't make you a screw-up." Charlie said before sighing.
"Stop thinking about Spectra's words! You said yourself, she's supposed to be helping you. You letting two years of hard work go down the drain." Charlie said, looking sad.
"We work so hard to help you. We don't want to see you as that person again." She said, hugging him.
Danny blinks before hugging her back. Emily soon joined them, hugging them as well. Little did they know, Jazz, Octiava, and Vaggie watched from the window, still lost about the whole thing.
Later that night,
'Charlie's right. I need to stop thinking about those things. She and Emily saved my life. I promised them that I would never become that person again. But I'm still lost on why Jazz told Spectra I was a loser?'
He then looked up and saw Jazz standing at the doorway. She had texted Vaggie and Octiava after they left to tell them to hold off on any questions for now.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing." She said, walking up to him.
Jazz looked over her brother, who looked away. He flinches when Jazz pitches his arm.
"Ow! What?" He asked, again.
"Nothing!" Jazz repeated, thinking over her words.
"Uh, so, uh, Danny, I know I've been kind of hard on you lately, but you know I think you're great, right?" She said as Danny rubbed his arm.
"Yeah, right. That's not what I hear." Danny said, groaning.
"Then you've heard wrong. Look, I know you think I'm pushy and I'm a know-it-all. I know you think I can be a jerk sometimes..." Jazz said before noticing that he was looking at her with a smile.
"You know, you can stop me at any time." Jazz said, annoyed.
"I know," Danny said, still smiling.
"All I'm saying is I'm your sister and I care about you. And even though you don't think I'll understand, you can talk to me about anything." Jazz said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
That made Danny remember the times that he and Jazz had fun together, long before Dash made him do those things. He understood Jazz was trying to be there for him when Charlie and Emily weren't. Maybe it wouldn't hurt?
Suddenly there was a loud crash, startling both Danny and Jazz. They run to the opening overlooking the living room to find the couch half destroyed and smoking. Jack was wielding the Fenton Peeler and Maddie looking on.
"I'm just saying, if we can find that ghost at Jazz's school, we're gonna peel that ghost like an onion!" Jack said, cheerfully.
"Well, we can't completely vaporize it. Don't you want to at least examine the remains?" Maddie asked.
Both Danny and Jazz looked alarmed at that before Danny noticed her hand was still on his shoulder. He gave it some more thought before deciding it wasn't worth it.
"Sorry, Jazz, but I don't feel like talking about it." He said, pulling it off.
Jazz sighs before smiling.
"Yeah, I'd imagine not." She said, walking over and kissing the top of his head.
Danny blinks in surprise when Jazz walks away. It has been a long time since Jazz did that and it made him happy that she still cared.
"Oh, gross!" Danny said, acting like a brother would when you find out you have been kissed by your sister.
Casper High,
Danny spent all night thinking about everything that he was told. Charlie, Emily, and Jazz were right. He was not a loser or a screw-up. Spectra's words have been playing in his head long enough. He soon spots Charlie and Emily and takes a breath.
"Hey, girls." He said, making them turn.
"Hey..." They said, looked sad.
'Wow, I must have done more than I thought.' Danny thought before hugging them both.
"I'm sorry."
Charlie and Emily looked shocked after Danny broke the hug.
"I was letting Spectra's words get to me. I knew they were wrong and yet I let them get to me. I'm not a loser or a screw-up. I'm better than that." He said, smiling.
"I'm Daniel James Fenton. I'm proud of who I am. No one has the right to say those things about me. Ms. Spectra doesn't know anything about me or my sister. Besides, it's Spirit Week. We should be filled with Spirit, not gloom and doom." He said.
"For once, I would like to see more spirit than my usual gloom and doom," Sam said, looking around.
"Uh, is it just me, or is this the worst Spirit Week in the history of Casper High Spirit Weeks?" She asked.
"Another day, another 24 hours closer to a career of pumping gas," Dash said, walking by.
"At least you'll have a job. Apparently, I'm gonna end up a hobo. I didn't even know they had hobos anymore!" Kwan said.
They then spotted Paulina and Valerie walking by looking as bad as Dash and Kwan.
"Did you know wrinkles can start emerging in your mid-twenties?" Paulina said, confusing the group more.
"This does seem weird," Octiava said, walking up.
Danny agreed seeing his sister walk done the hall with a smile. So far, the only person to have one.
"This is so weird. It was like everything went downhill the minute Spectra came here." Tucker said.
That causes Emily to think of something.
"Tucker give me your PDA!" She said, shocking him.
"Why?" He asked.
"Just give it!" She said, making him hand it over.
She quickly scrolled through it, seeing the pictures that Tucker had taken yesterday.
"Uh...I was gonna delete that." He said, looking scared under Charlie's and Octavia's glare.
"I'm glad you didn't," Emily said before moving Charlie and Danny closer to her.
"Guys, look." She said, whispering.
She quickly pointed out that in each picture, without Tucker noticing, a blue whisp kept appearing out of Danny's mouth. Danny quickly caught on to what Emily was saying.
"I kept thinking I was seeing my breath. That it was cold. But what if that's my ghost sense? What if Spectra is somehow making people more miserable? What if she's a ghost?" He whispers.
Charlie was ready to voice her thoughts before she noticed someone was missing from the group.
"Octavia, where's Vaggie?" She asked.
"Oh, she helping with setting up the gym for the speech. Through, we are very worried about the sparkles that were set up." She said.
"How so?" Emily asked.
"They look like death rays you see on TV," Octiava said.
"Oh no," Charlie said, looking very scared.
"Danny, Spectra wants to kill your sister! She was save her for last!" Emily shouted, not caring who heard her.
"Whoa, what do you mean Spectra wants to kill Jazz?" Tucker asked before Emily gave him back his PDA.
"Sorry, not time to explain! We got to go!" They said, running off.
"Augh, why can't they just tell us? They had to be the ones that turned Danny into a ghost." Sam said, making Octiava look at her.
'She knows?'
"Sam!" Tucker growls.
'They both know. Better tell Jazz and Vaggie, but first to make sure Sam doesn't try anything.' Octavia thought.
"Sam, if you do anything that tries to break them up, you will pay for it." She said, making her turn.
"And what will you do about it?" She asked.
Seeing that they were now alone, she decided to show them her true form, shocking them.
"While not as powerful as the king of hell, my family has a lot more power than you think. And if you think that telling everyone my true form or making up rumors about the three, I hope you're ready to have three of the most powerful beings glaring down on you and ensure that you will NEVER see the darkness you love in a good way ever again." She said, getting closer to Sam.
"And I know about them, too. However, I'm not going to force them to tell me anything! If you do anything to them, I bet that hell will be more than glad to have you." She added before turning back into her human look.
"If Danny is happy with the people he's with, then let him be happy. You have no right to take that away." She said before looking at Tucker.
"It's their secret. You have no right to tell anyone without their permission." She said.
"They did something to him! I knew I was right about..." Sam started.
"YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPEN TO THEM!" Octavia shouted before sighing.
"You know what? I don't care anymore. If you want to tell everyone, go ahead. See if anyone would believe you." She said, walking away.
"Fine, I will!" Sam said, pulling out her camera.
When they followed the three yesterday, Sam thought they were up to something and decided to record it. And she got the three turning into the Trinty.
'Let's see them stay together now' Sam thought smirking.
Tucker frowned as he saw Sam put her phone back in her pocket. He had a strong feeling about what she was planning and wasn't going to let her go through with this. He pulled out his PDA and quickly got to work.
Okay, not where I wanted to stop, but I was having a bit of trouble focusing when I got around to the part where Danny, Charlie, and Emily figured out that Spercta was a ghost.
Now, the one main difference in this one, it is just not Jazz who tried to talk to Danny, but Charlie did as well. Both she and Emily did not want Danny to turn into the person they first saw two years ago. They let the person he is now. And yeah, I did cover a few reactions of the characters that saw the three transformed, I'll try to add in more before we get to the fight with Spectra. One more part and then I can move on.
