Celestia was in her office as the woman was reviewing some paperwork. The principal and her sister were preparing for Friends and Family Day as they already had a ton of festivities lined up. However, the idea that they had to have an exhibition duel still needed to be completed. The dueling instructors were rounding up the evaluations as they had compiled a list of students who they selected.

However, Celestia didn't see a certain name when she looked over the list. In fact, Sweetie Belle told the principal that she'd been trying to persuade the student to partake, but he kept refusing. The professor promised Celestia that she would attempt to talk to the student about partaking, but if he refused still, she would submit another student.

"Why won't you?" said Celestia.

"Now then, who can tell me how to solve this?" said Sweetie Belle to her class as she presented a problem on the board for the students to see.

"Alright, begin!" said Sweetie Belle.

The professor was giving her class a dueling puzzle to solve. She gave them a fixed scenario, and their goal was to solve the puzzle, but the main objective was to dwindle their opponent's life points all in one turn and could only use the cards they had remaining in their deck, hand, and on the field.

The students had expressions that ranged from confusion to dumbfounded to thinking. Among those was Pipp, as the girl hadn't the slightest idea of starting the problem. Mostly because her knowledge of Duel Monster cards needed to be better. She might have to spend time reviewing or on her phone in the library. Either way, the girl was struggling.

Soon a small folded piece of paper slid in front of her. She blinked when she saw it before turning to her right as there sat Mario. The boy had a bored expression with his hand under his chin while looking forward. The social media teen was confused until she grabbed the small paper and unfolded it. Pipp's eyes widened as the answer to the problem that Sweetie Belle had given them was written out.

The girl read it over and then raised her hand.

"Ms. Pipp?" said Sweetie Belle as she called on the girl.

"Uh, okay, so to solve the problem. The first step would be to summon the two other Blue-Eyes White Dragons. Then play Polymerization to fuse all three dragons to bring out Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Next, uhm, tribute Ultimate Dragon to summon Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. Then, use its effect to boost attack points and also negate Magic Cylinder with its effect. Lastly, you would attack to win?" stated Pipp as she finished telling the rest of their play.

"That is...correct!" said Sweetie Belle, impressed by the girl and how she gave the right steps and answers. "Well done, Ms. Pipp. I'm impressed."

The social media teen had a slight smile appear on her face. Soon the bell rang, and it caught the attention of the class.

"Alright, that's all for today. Remember, study up on your sheets. There will be a test tomorrow." stated Sweetie Belle as her students began to pack up and leave.

Mario grabbed his backpack and slung it over one of his shoulders as he looked to leave.

"Hold on!" said Pipp as she called out to the boy.

He turned and saw the girl as she put her backpack on and approached him.

"Thanks... for helping me with the answers. But why?" asked Pipp, as she could tell that Mario had given her the solution to the problem as she identified his handwriting.

"I don't know... I guess... I just felt like it. Plus, I could solve these in my sleep," stated Mario, as he was used to solving these problems.

"Well, thanks. I appreciate it," smiled Pipp.

"Don't mention it," responded the boy casually.

"So... listen, I heard a new place opened up on the socs, and I..."

"Not interested," stated Mario, knowing the girl was attempting. He then began to walk as Pipp quickly went after him.

"Okay, I get it. But can you at least help me with something? I mean, actual something." Pipp said as she stood before the teen and put her hands out to stop him.

"What?" said the teen.

"Okay, so you know I'm not the most well-known in Duel Monsters, and that puzzle we tried to solve shows it. So... can you help me at least up my knowledge?"

"Why don't you look them up on your phone?" asked Mario, seeing as the girl was almost on it 24/7.

"You'd think that. But being a social media star and trendsetter requires my phone to always be ready. I don't have time to look it up without getting a DM from one of my followers. And then getting another message from another Pippsqueaks and having to do a livestream. And then coming up with a song."

Mario now regretted asking his question as the girl went on a tangent. Pipp talked about her influence on social media as nearly everyone in CHS followed her, including the professors and principals. Though he was stunned to hear that she sang and wrote songs.

"Alright, shut up!" said Mario, putting his hand on Pipp's face to shut the girl from her rambling.

Pipp mumbled as she asked.

"Yes," answered the boy as he removed his hand from her face allowing Pipp to breathe. "Meet me in the library in ten minutes."

"Great. It's a date!" responded Pipp in a sing-like voice as she waved bye to the boy she was crushing on.

"It's not a date!" responded Mario as he rubbed his forehead.

"Mario, do you mind if I talk to you briefly?" asked Sweetie Belle.

The boy sighed heavily as it seemed his luck was still going. He approached the desk of his Fusion professor as Sweetie Belle sat properly with her legs crossed and adjusted her miniskirt.

"Yes, teach?" asked the boy.

"Friends and Family Day will be here sooner than expected. And I've been tasked with selecting three individuals who should be allowed to perform for the crowd that will gather. I already have my list of potential candidates. One of them is Ms. Pipp. She's still a beginner, but she has potential. Especially if you're gonna help her. However, there's another person who I think should participate."

"Look, teach. I get what you're trying to do. But I'm just not interested." said Mario.

"But why? You refuse to duel, apart from that one discussed before the school year began. You have yet to have an official duel. Your record is still clean. Not to mention, you still need to register a deck. Your duel disk still remains inactive. Why?" asked Sweetie Belle, wanting to help her student.

"With all due respect, teach. I have my reasons. The only thing I ask is that you respect it." stated Mario.

"But, Mario... I want to help."

"I know, and I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful when I say this, but I don't need your help."

"Very well. If you don't want to participate, I can't force you to. I'll remove your name and inform the others when I submit my selections. Now run along. I'm sure Ms. Pipp is waiting for you." said Sweetie Belle as Mario left the classroom. Sweetie Belle slumped forward in her chair as she had her elbows on her desk and was thinking. "Why? Your father would've jumped at this opportunity."

Mario made it to the library as Pipp was currently streaming on her phone and informing her fans of her latest idea for a trend. However, it seemed the librarian Ms. Cheerilee, gave her a glare and told her to remain quiet. She took the girl's phone as Pipp almost had a meltdown; just the thought of not having her phone made the girl experience mental heartbreak. She fainted as Mario rolled his eyes.

"Alright, wake up, princess," said Mario as he gently slapped Pipp's cheek to get her to stir.

"Is it really you? The prince I've been waiting for," said Pipp.

"No!" said Mario as he let go of the girl, and she fell on the ground with a thud.

"Ow! Reality sucks!" said Pipp.

"Shhh!" said Ms. Cheerliee, glaring at the teen for the loud noise. She put her fingers to her eyes and then flicked them at Pipp to signal she was watching the teen.

Once she got up and eased her back pain, the two teens went to the library's upper level for privacy. From there, Mario began to work Pipp up a sweat. Dropping book after book, catalog after catalog on Duel Monsters cards, effects, and all. This was the most work the social media star had ever done, including performing in front of a live crowd for her middle school's talent show when she was younger.

After an hour or two, Pipp had her face planted on the table. The girl was exhausted from the overwhelming knowledge she was forced to take in. What she was learning in Ms. Sweetie Belle's class was child's play compared to what Mario was trying to get her to know and remember.

"Alright, now..."

"Please, no more," pleaded the girl, almost begging Mario to stop this torture.

"I was gonna say you only have one thing left. Something to see if all that retention is there," Mario stated. "Solve this."

The boy pulled out some cards and placed them before the girl. Pipp was confused until she saw a field of cards across from her. On the opposite side were Red Gadget and Yellow Gadget in defense mode. Meanwhile, Green Gadget and Ancient Gear Soldier were in attack position, as well as the trap Stronghold the Moving Fortress. In the spell and trap zone, there were 2 cards, one being The Dark Door, which is activated, and the other facedown. In addition, the opponent had 2300 life points. Now on their side, they had a monster called Tragoedia which had an ability that gained 600 attack points for every card in the player's hand. Pipp was holding 6 cards which meant her monster had 3600 attack points. The cards she was holding were Remove Trap, Axe of Despair, Cost Down, Shooting Star Bow-Ceal, a level 6 Bird King Alector, and the last card was Tribute to the Doomed. Furthermore, their life points were at 1000.

"What's this?" asked the girl.

"A test. Now, solve it," said Mario, sitting next to the girl.

"What? You're asking the impossible," said Pipp.

"No, asking you to not go ten seconds without being on your phone is impossible. No, that's being generous. Five seconds."

"God, you're annoying," mumbled the girl as Mario smiled, hearing that.

Pipp then looked at what was before her and took a deep breath. The girl got her mind to work as she began to analyze and scan everything.

"Okay... well, I could play this. The Shooting Star Bow-Ceal equip spell is in my hand. By equipping the enemy's Green Gadget with Shooting Star Bow-Ceal, I can take away 1000 attack points. Then I attack and win." said Pipp.

"Wrong!" said Mario.

"How?" said Pipp, totally confused.

The boy reached over and flipped the facedown on the opposite side.

"Mirror Force. Reflects your attack right back at you and destroys your monster. And not only that. Because of The Dark Door spell, each duelist can only attack once, and you only had the one monster out." stated Mario.

"Then this really is impossible," expressed Pipp.

"Ha! Pipp Petals, social influence, and trendsetter, but can't master two sheets of paper," stated Mario with a sly smile.

"I hate you," said Pipp with a bit of volume in her voice.

"Shh!" said Cheerilee.

"Oh, shut up!" shouted Pipp, clearly not in the mood.

"The point of this is to teach you how to see things from different angles and take those angles into consideration. Just concentrate."

Pipp looked back at the field and the cards she was holding. Her brain was trying to wrap around this problem and the solution.

"The problem isn't that I can't attack, but that if I attack, I lose. And it's because of Mirror Force."

"Good. So, you need to bypass that? And how do you do it?" asked Mario.

"Well, I have nothing in my hand."

"True, but maybe you're looking in the wrong place," stated the boy as he pointed to the Ancient Gear monster on the opponent's side.

"What? Use my opponent's monster against them? How?" said Pipp.

"Here's a hint, look at your monster."

Pipp took in what Mario said as she looked at her monster. Tragoedia stood on the field as it was her only card. The girl read her card's effect as she wasn't worried about how it gained attack points but that its additional effect meant it could take control of a monster of the same level as the monster you sent to the grave.

"I only have a six-level monster, so how do I get it to level 4? I need to have it drop two levels... to... wait..."

"Now you're cooking," said Mario as he saw the wheels turning in Pipp's head.

"I think I have something. Let's see," stated the girl as she began to make her move. I would first use the Cost Down spell. By discarding Remove Trap, I can decrease the level of the Alector in my hand from 6 to 4. Then, thanks to Tragoedia's special ability, by sending Alector to the graveyard, I can gain control of Ancient Gear Soldier!"

"Keep going," stated Mario.

"Alright, next I send Shooting Star Bow-Ceal from my hand to the graveyard so I can activate the Tribute to the Doomed spell card! And with that, I can destroy Green Gadget! With Green Gadget gone, Stronghold loses all its attack points because it needs all three. Now I'll equip the Axe of Despair! Ancient Gear Soldier's attack points increase to 2300! And with that- Ancient Gear Soldier attack Stronghold!"

A small slow clap was heard as Pipp looked at Mario. The boy finished clapping as he stared at her.

"Not bad," was all he said.

"I... passed?" asked Pipp as the boy nodded. "I passed. Yippee!"

"Shh!" said Cheerilee.

Pipp didn't care at being told to be quiet, as she was ecstatic that all the extra studying she spent with Mario had paid off. The girl felt like jumping out of her seat and hugging the boy but restrained herself.

"Alright, go ahead," said the teen, knowing she wanted to hug him.

Pipp wasted no time doing it as she wrapped her arms around the boy. Mario felt the girl hugging him tightly as he brought a hand up and patted her back.

"Alright, let me go now," said Mario as he felt ten seconds was enough affection.

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it. Remember this, 'cause you might need it if you get picked to perform," said Mario as he grabbed his backpack. "Oh, before I forget, here!"

The boy turned while walking as he threw something. Pipp caught it as she looked to see it was her phone. She was shocked to see that Mario had it as he had asked Ms. Cheerilee to be given it so he could return it to the girl once she finished her lesson. But the more shocking thing was that the boy's number was saved in her contacts. Roll may have told her brother she gave Pipp his number, but that was just to troll her big brother. This was the real thing. She looked to say something, but the teen was long gone. A smile came on Pipp's face as she finally had her crush's number.

It was a peaceful, cozy night in Canterlot City. The stars twinkled as the light of the moon illuminated the empty streets. The majority of the houses were dark, with only a few remaining lights here and there.

Mario was sound asleep in his bed. However, his peaceful slumber was abruptly disturbed when the boy found herself awoken by the sound of a text message notification.

*DING!*

"Are you kidding m- who's texting me at this hour?!" Mario grumbled to himself as he tossed and turned in his sheets. He really didn't want to get up and check.

"I swear if I made a mistake giving Pipp my number," the boy groaned as he felt like it was her. Rubbing his eyes, Mario groggily reached over to his nightstand and grabbed the phone. He looked down to see the name over the received text message and had to do a double take on the highlighted name.

"Zipp? What could she possibly want?" He asked. Not really knowing what to expect, he opened up the message and began to read it…

Zipp: Sup Mario! This is quick because we're coming to this school to host an airsoft thing. Wanna come?

Mario: Wait, what? School, airsoft… What kind of weird sports are you doing?

Zipp: This school's abandoned, and we go there late at night and do these airsoft matches in the school.

Mario was now even more confused. Going to an abandoned school just to host an airsoft match seemed a little out there and possibly dangerous.

Mario: Not trying to bring the mood down, but isn't that risky?

Zipp: Well, duh! Of course, it's not. But if you want to go, you can!

Mario: When is it?

Zipp: Late at night. When no one's there.

Mario: Any security?

Zipp: Only the janitor comes in the evening and leaves at, like, nine. No one's gonna be there; we'll be there really late, like three in the morning. We'll play a quick game, maybe even two, and then we'll be out of there.

Mario: Okay, how are we going in?

Zipp: It's on one of the second-story windows, so we'll have to climb up the fire escape to get in.

Mario: Fine. When do I meet you?

Zipp: Be at the front gate in about twenty minutes. Be ready by then, or we won't hesitate to leave you behind.

The boy rolled out and quickly put on his clothes. He approached his room door and opened it as standing there was Roll.

"So, you also going?" said the girl.

The duo was at the front gate as they waited. Soon a car pulled up next to her, and the window rolled down, revealing Zipp in the driver's seat and Thunder in the passenger's seat.

"Get in! We don't have all night!" shouted Zipp.

Thunder opened the backdoor as both siblings entered.

"So, is this going to be just us? Um, not to sound rude or anything, but how is this meant to be an event? I would've thought there'd be more people?" Roll asked.

"Oh, don't worry, we've got many other people coming!" Zipp replied with a mischievous grin on her face.

Mario raised an eyebrow. "Okay… exactly how many are we talking about here because if we have over a hundred students in a school that's abandoned, I'm pretty sure that's just going to be a one-way ticket to getting arrested."

Thunder chuckled. "Relax, man. We'll be fine. Just trust us."

Roll was relieved that there weren't hundreds of people when they arrived. However, she counted around twenty people, which was still a lot in her book.

She stepped out of the car with her brother and followed their friends and the twenty people to the fire escape, which looked like it hadn't been used in years. They began to climb up and through an open window.

When Roll landed and got to her feet, she realized something was off: almost all the hallway lights were on. "Hey, guys, d-do people come in here? Why are the lights on?" she asked, feeling uneasy.

"Well, of course, there are janitors, and they leave them on after they leave," Zipp replied nonchalantly.

"Okay, but what if this building isn't even abandoned? What if they just come in here daily to clean it, and they're going to sell it?" asked Mario.

"Well, yeah, eventually they probably will." Thunder said with a shrug. "But for now, it's abandoned!"

"Alright, If you say so… Um, so… lead the way, I guess?" Roll said.

As they made their way down the stairs, the siblings could hear muffled music coming from somewhere in the school and another sound which was… roller blades?

"Wait, are there skaters in the building?" Mario asked, surprised.

Zipp nodded. "Yeah, some skaters have started using the empty gym to skate. But don't worry about them. They usually mind their own business."

Roll's heart began to race as she feared that this school wasn't abandoned and the potentially dangerous people that could be hosting or participating in these events. But her thoughts were interrupted as she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her arm. She looked down to see small BB pellets bouncing off her skin and let out a scream of terror.

"You okay, sis?" asked Mario to his little sibling's scream.

As she ducked to the ground, she stopped when she realized the people in the building were already engaged in an airsoft battle. Most had brought duffle bags with their equipment, and some wore masks and vests.

"Watch and learn!" Zipp boasted to the pair as she strapped on her vest.

As her friends ran off to join the airsoft battle, the siblings decided to take this opportunity to explore on their own.

As they explored the hallways, they recognized quite a few players from Canterlot High as well. The pair soon came across an empty room with tables flipped over that the janitor didn't even fix, which pretty much confirmed to her that there were people in here every night just messing around playing airsoft or whatever they wanted because, on closer inspection, she noticed marks on the floor from skaters who decided to leave the gym.

Speaking of the skaters, the rollerblades skating against the floor were now even louder, drawing Roll's attention. She slowly followed the sound leading to the gym's two-door opening. Unsure of what to expect, she cautiously opened the doors and stepped inside with her brother following her before stopping in their tracks. As they expected, they found people… skating. Really hardcore skating. They saw skaters colliding and tackling one another, as well as others viciously trying to pass one another.

And that's when Roll realized. These abandoned buildings were used for normal skating and the much more competitive "underground roller derbies," except that with no referee or coach on hand to oversee the game, to put it lightly, none of the rules were being followed.

But then, her eyes were drawn to a certain girl in the crowd of skaters.

"No… That can't be her." Roll said. She didn't want to believe what she was seeing, but as she rubbed her eyes and looked again… Yep, It was definitely her. She signaled her brother as he had to do a double take.

What they saw was one of their friends, Izzy, but she looked almost unrecognizable in this context. Izzy was skating fiercely, shoving other skaters out of her way and even dragging one behind her by the arm. The pair couldn't believe what they were seeing. Izzy was always so bubbly and hyper; seeing her being as aggressive and fierce as Zipp was so strange.

At that moment, the girl saw the pair and froze in her tracks, and their eyes met. For a moment, the friends locked eyes, wide-eyed and unable to speak.

"R-Roll? Mario? Whoa!" Izzy began asking before suddenly being shoved by another skater.

The pair winced at this but quickly ran to help her. Barely avoiding the other skaters, quickly picked Izzy up and dragged her to the side.

"What are you two doing?!" Izzy asked in a sudden burst of anger. She had been enjoying herself.

"What are we doing?! What the hell are you doing competing in this roller derby… thing?!" Roll asked furiously. "Don't you have any idea how dangerous this is?!"

"I know what I'm doing, guys!" Izzy retorted. "I've been doing this for weeks now, and I'm good at it! Plus, Sunny gave me lessons."

"Good at it? You could seriously get hurt!" Roll exclaimed, feeling her temper rise. "And what's worse, you didn't even tell us! We're your friends! We could've helped you or at least ensured you were safe!"

"I didn't tell you guys because I knew you'd freak out like this!" Izzy shouted back, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"I'm freaking out because you're risking your life, Izzy! And for what? Some underground roller derby? It's not worth it!"

"So?! I'll do what I want, Roll! Don't tell me how to live my life!" Izzy screamed back angrily.

Before the argument could escalate further, one of the skaters suddenly rammed hard into Roll, knocking her down to the floor. For a few minutes, Roll was out cold. Mario gasped when he saw his little sister get hurt. He didn't waste any time as he grabbed the person who rammed into his sister and knocked his ass out clean with one punch. The others all looked as the boy gave them a look that even death could be scared of. They all quickly skated away, knowing not to mess with the boy less they also wanted to sleep on the floor.

Roll began to wake up, and her vision slowly returned. It was blurry initially, but she soon saw her brother kneeling over her as he kept watch over her. Next to him, crouching beside her, was Izzy looking over.

"W-Wha-? Izzy? What are you still doing here?" Roll asked with a sigh. She had fully expected the girl to be gone or, at the very least, still be angry at her, but instead… she had a look of both regret and concern for her friend.

"I'm so sorry, Roll. I didn't mean for you to get hurt. I shouldn't have been so reckless, and I definitely shouldn't have yelled at you like that," Izzy said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"No, no. It's okay, Izzy." Roll said, slowly sitting up. "It's my fault. I shouldn't have just started yelling at you like that. It wasn't the right way to go about this… It's just… Why? Why do you enjoy… that so much?" the girl asked apprehensively, pointing back to the skaters.

Izzy sighed before she began to explain. "The adrenaline kicks in when I'm on that track, and I never feel so alive! And so when I heard about these roller derby being held here, I couldn't resist showing off my skills, and it was the coolest thing ever!" the teen smiled. "Look, I love doing this because not only is it exhilarating and really fun, but I can be myself out there and show a side of me that hasn't been seen before."

"I get it, Izzy. And I'm sorry for not understanding it. I promise I'll be more supportive from now on." Roll said, hugging her.

The two friends hugged for a few moments before Mario spoke up again.

"You realize you'll still have to tell the others about this, right?"

Izzy nodded, looking a little apprehensive. "I know. It's just… I'm just not sure how they'll react."

"They'll definitely be worried, Izzy. But they'll also be there for you. That's what friends are for." Roll said reassuringly.

"Okay, I'll tell them!" Izzy said, happily giving her friends a thumbs up.

Suddenly, they heard a noise that was not a good one. It was the sound of a key turning the lock of one of the exit doors, and it started to creak open. All three teens looked at each other, silently communicating their thoughts. They knew they had two options: run upstairs, get to the fire escape, and hightail it out there or scream that someone was in the building and then try to escape.

They nodded at each other and chose the first option to avoid alerting whoever was in the building. They quickly made their way through the doors and ran through the halls, and as they approached the stairs, a little BB hit Roll in the thigh from Zipp.

"Ow! Hey!" the girl winced, trying to keep her voice down.

"Oh hey, guys! What's up?" Zipp said casually, unaware of the danger they were in.

"Yeah, thanks for shooting me. Anyway, get your stuff. We're leaving." Roll replied in a calm voice.

"Why? What's going on?" Zipp asked, still not aware of the situation.

"Look, there's someone in the building, and they're probably coming up right now; get your stuff." Izzy quickly explained.

Zipp slowly removed her helmet and looked down the hall.

"Cops…" She muttered as she ran to grab her backpack and immediately texted Thunder.

Zipp: Cops got called! Get to the car now!

Thunder: We're already heading out of the fire escape! It's you guys that need to get out now!

As the four made their way out of the fire escape, they heard someone yelling.

"EVERYBODY, RUN, RUN, RUN! COPS CALLED CALLED! COPS GOT CALLED!"

The four friends quickly descended the ladder, made their way to the sidewalk, and began fast walking to the car, with Roll getting ahead of her brother and their friends.

And as she turned around, she noticed lights in the front parking lot, and she knew what they were. They weren't some strange lights. They were most definitely cop car lights.

"Nope. We're getting out of here." Roll thought to herself as she began running.

Fortunately, the cops didn't see them because the fire escape was more towards the back of the school, and they had gone in through the little exit on the right side of the building, which was towards the front, so it was easy to access, and they didn't want to go right through the front because they'd be easily seen.

Soon, Roll, Mario, and Zipp found the car they had come in and quickly hopped in the backseat. Thunder and Zoom were already there with the car started.

"Where have you two been?!" Zoom asked.

"It doesn't matter. We need to get out of here, now!" Thunder shouted.

"Wait, don't leave! We're still missing someone!" Roll said as she climbed over Zipp and opened up the door.

"What do you think you're doing, Roll?!" Zoom asked angrily.

"Come on, Izzy!" Roll called out.

Izzy, who had fallen behind, was nearing the car and decided to boldly move. When she got close enough, she leaped into the backseat and landed comfortably on Zipp, Roll, and Mario's knees.

"Alright, let's go! Go, go, go!" Mario shouted. With everyone accounted for, Zipp hurriedly shut the door, and Thunder stepped on the gas, driving them away from the school.

As the six of them caught their breath, they just started laughing because of how crazy a night it was.

"O-ho, man! What a night!" Zoom exclaimed.

"Well, guys…" Zipp chuckled. "How's that for a night out?"

Mario couldn't help but laugh along with her friends; despite the chaos they had just so narrowly escaped from, he couldn't deny that tonight was certainly one he would remember for quite a while.

"I'm not going to lie… I don't think I've ever had a night out like this!" Roll said, still catching her breath.

"Same here!" Izzy agreed. "But hey, it's not every day you get to go to an abandoned school, get tackled by random skaters, and escape the cops, right?"

"You really are something," Zipp told Mario as they sat shoulder to shoulder.

"I can say the same thing about you," responded the boy as he and Zipp smiled at each other.

The group continued to laugh and joke as they drove away, and as the car turned a corner and disappeared into the night, Roll and Mario couldn't help but smile, grateful for their friends and the adventure they shared.

Author's Note: For those that don't know what airsoft is, it's essentially like paintball only it relies on an honor system where if you're hit you have to call yourself out to keep to that system and avoid any unfairness. Also it doesn't leave any stains on your clothes. Lots of discussion about Mario how, apart from that one duel he had, he's just remained quiet. He has his reasons as he says; in addition, being able to put aside the fact that Pipp has a crush on him to help her with something of use and giving her his actual number. Let's hope he doesn't regret giving her that. And then of the course the teen things you do late at night with Zipp and the others that almost resulted in them getting caught. But lucky, they didn't...
