The cheers and admiration from the crowd were still going strong as Roll slowly got to her feet. At the same time, Athena was coming to as she shook off the attack she had received. The Crystal Prep girl looked at her foe as both panted heavily. The two stared at one another as they approached the other; the pair stuck their hands out and gave a firm handshake while still locking eyes and clutching their sides.

"That… was an epic duel," said Athena.

"Yeah… but our next one… will be even more," responded Roll.

"I look forward to it," said the Crystal Prep teen.

The two girls could see the fire in each other's eyes, and they felt this wouldn't be the last time they would face each other. The pair then released their grip, turning simultaneously and slowly walking to their side. Flurry stood up to see her friend approaching them.

"What I'd tell you?" smiled the girl.

"You…"

Before Athena could respond, she began to fall forward until JD caught her. The others circled their friend as Athena leaned against the boy for support.

"Your cousin is one tough duelist," said Athena, finally saying what she wanted.

"I told you," smiled Flurry as she instructed JD to help take her to sit down on the bench.

Roll approached her side, seeing and hearing some of the praise she was getting from her friends. However, the girl's body couldn't handle it anymore and fell to her knees before her team. Sunny rushed out to help, putting Roll's arm over her shoulder and guiding her to their bench. Once they made it back, Roll took off her duel disk and held her left arm.

"Are you okay?" asked Sunny.

"Yeah… I'll be fine. I got the dub, though," responded the girl.

"You did good, hermana," said Mario as he bent down to look at his little sister and put his hand on her shoulder.

"The next duel will now begin!"

Cadance's announcement got the attention of the two teams, who turned to look at the screen. The portraits of Roll and Athena were removed, leaving only 12. The screen then began to run through the remaining duelists as it cycled through the portraits. There was a small sense of quiet as everyone waited to see who would face next. Soon, the answer was given, as the next two portraits were shown.

"The next duel will be Ms. Pipp Petals against Crystal Prep's Sitri, Roxanne!" said Luna.

Upon hearing their names called, Pipp and Roxy looked at each other as their previous duels came flooding in. After embarrassing herself last time, the Crystal Prep girl looked forward to making Pipp pay. The pop star diva clenched her fists, wanting nothing more than to silence the person who mocked her skills.

"Are you ready, Pipp?" asked Zipp, putting her hand on her sister's shoulder, knowing their prior history with each other.

"I got this," said Pipp, taking her sister's hand off her shoulder and responding in a serious tone Zipp had never heard before.

The girl adjusted her blazer as she turned to give a nod to her sister before approaching Mario. The boy was checking on his sister when he turned to see her standing over her. The teen stood up to look at the stylish as he saw her serious face. Neither said anything as they just stared until Mario spoke up.

"You got this, chica," said Mario, giving the girl one last piece of advice as he looked forward to seeing her put all their training to use for this exact moment.

"Right," said Pipp as she bawled her fist and turned to the field.

With a deep breath and a cheer from Izzy, the songstress began to get on the field. Roxanne was already waiting for Pipp, and she gritted her teeth upon seeing the stylish. Neither girl said anything as the wind around them began to pick up, blowing their hair and skirts in their direction. The tense rivalry that had formed between the two was on full display, and right here and now, they were looking to settle it once and for all.

"Time to clip your wings, little songbird," growled Roxanne.

"That's not gonna happen," responded Pipp defiantly.

"Duelists… begin!" said Luna, signaling to start.

Both girls pulled out their duel disk and strapped it on before slotting in their decks. Their devices came online, and Roxy's duel disk projected a citrine-colored card tray while Pipp's projected an aquamarine card tray.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel."

"Let's duel!" shouted both girls as they drew their opening hands.

Pipp's Life Points: 8000-
Roxy's Life Points: 8000-

Their portraits were shown as this time, it was Pipp who was selected to go first.

Turn 1: Pipp (Hand 5)

"I'll kick this duel off with a performance unlike no other. I draw!" said the girl as she picked up her card. "I'll begin by playing the spell card, Cards from the Sky. So, I can draw two cards by banishing Fairy Archer from my hand. However, I can't special summon for the rest of my turn. Next, I play the field spell… The Sanctuary in the Sky!"

The field began to change as clouds appeared by the girl's feet. Rising behind Pipp was a sanctuary with stairs leading up to it, and the majestic place was a sight to behold.

"I then summon my Opera the Melodious Diva(2300/1000)!" Out came a tiny girl in a musical-style dress as she opened her mouth to sing a note.

"I end my turn."

Turn 2: Roxanne (Hand 5)

"It's time to send you on a farewell tour!" Roxanne said as she drew her card. "I'll summon my Gem-Armadillo(1700/500)!" An armadillo appeared covered in gems as it burrowed from the ground. "When I normal summon my Gem-Armadillo, I can add a 'Gem-Knight' monster to my hand from my deck. So I'll take my Gem-Knight Garnet. Then I'll play this!" said Roxanne, holding a card.

"Gem-Knight Fusion!?" said Pipp.

"That's right. I use Gem-Knight Fusion to combine my Gem-Knight Garnet and Gem-Knight Obsidian!" The shadowed forms of two armored warriors appeared in the air above Roxanne, then lit up in orange and black auras and were drawn into the vortex. It flashed and sent a pillar of red light into the air. "I Fusion Summon, Gem-Knight Ruby(2500/1300)!" The light faded, revealing a massive soldier in deep red armor with a blue cape. It swung a massive spear through the air, resting it on its shoulder.

"I'm not done. The effect of Gem-Knight Obsidian activates now. Since I sent him from my hand to the graveyard, I can use his effect to revive Gem-Knight Garnet(1900/0). Then I banish Gem-Knight Obsidian from the graveyard to activate the effect of Gem-Knight Fusion, returning it to my hand." Roxanne's two cards slipped out of the graveyard, and he lifted them up, placing Garnet on her duel disk. A smaller warrior than Ruby, clad in orange armor, rose next to it.

She summoned that monster using three cards and got two back immediately. Roxy really wants to win… well, so do I.

"Next, I activate Gem-Knight Ruby's ability. By sacrificing Gem-Knight Garnet to it, Garnet's attack power is added onto Ruby's for the duration of my turn." Garnet turned into energy and flowed into Ruby's spear. The spear lit up in an orange aura and grew larger. Roxanne pointed across the field. "Gem-Knight Ruby, attack Opera the Melodious Diva! Ruby Spear Strike!" Ruby twirled its spear in the air and hefted it back, the aura glowing brighter. Ruby bellowed and hurled its spear. The weapon impaled Pipp's monster and emerged in a shower of fairy dust.

"Thanks to my field spell, I don't take any battle damage involving a Fairy-type monster!" said Pipp, as despite her monster's destruction, her Life Points remained intact.

Ruby's spear vanished and reappeared strapped to its wielder's back. Roxanne picked up one more card from her hand. "You can't hide forever behind your field spell, Ms. Popstar… Gem-Armadillo, attack her directly!" The small animal curled into a ball and began to roll toward the stylish. Pipp saw the tiny animal coming at her as it picked up speed and leaped into the air; the girl put her arms up to protect herself as the animal bounced off them and rolled back to Roxy's side of the field.
Pipp's Life Points: 6300-

"I set one card face-down and end my turn."

Turn 3: Pipp (Hand 4)

"It's my turn!" said the songstress as she drew her card. "I activate the spell card, 1st Movement Solo. Since I control no monsters, I can use this sweet-sounding spell to summon a Level 4 or below 'Melodious' monster from my hand or deck. So, I present to you... Aria the Melodious Diva(1600/1200). And with a Melodious monster on stage, this talented little songstress can call on one of her friends to make this performance a duet! Introducing… Sonata the Melodious Diva(1200/1000)!" Pipp now had two monsters on her field as both divas began to sing harmoniously.

"Since I special summoned my Sonata, both divas will gain 500 extra attack and defense points. And that's music to my ears!" remarked Pipp as her two monsters strengthened. "Now… Aria, belt one out and attack Gem-Armadillo!" The girl's diva opened her mouth and fired a soundwave as musical notes came out and pelted the animal before it shattered.
Roxanne's Life Points: 7600-

"I place one card facedown and end my turn."

Turn 4: Roxanne (Hand 3)

"It's my move!" shouted the Crystal Prep girl as she drew her card. "Remember when I said you can't hide behind your field spell forever? Well, it's time to get rid of it. First, I summon Gem-Knight Alexandrite(1800/1200)!" Another knight, this one clad in silver armor with red gems studded on the joints and breastplate, jumped from a portal in front of Roxy and crossed its arms. "I then activate Alexandrite's ability and tribute it to summon any Gem-Knight normal monster in my deck. Come forth, Gem-Knight Tourmaline(1600/1800)!" Alexandrite vanished into a shining portal, and a new knight stepped out. It was clad in gleaming angular gold armor, bolts of electricity coursing along its surface. It held up its hands and sent a jolt of lightning into the air.

"Next, this card should seem familiar. I activate Gem-Knight Fusion." Roxanne lifted a card from her hand. "I fuse Tourmaline on the field with Gem-Knight Lazuli in my hand!" A vortex in front of the girl absorbed Tourmaline and the specter of a smaller monster in pale purple armor. The vortex flashed and shot a pillar of light into the air. "I Fusion Summon Gem-Knight Prismaura(2450/1400)!" The light pillar receded to reveal Roxy's new monster. Gold and silver armor covered its body, a long white and red cape streaming from the collar. Spires of white crystal emerged from its shoulders, holding a shield and sword. It raised the latter into the air and let out a cry of triumph.

"Two fusion monsters?!" said Pipp in a worried tone.

"First things first, when Gem-Knight Lazuli is sent to the graveyard, I can retrieve a normal monster sleeping there to my hand." Roxanne tapped her duel disk screen, and the card ejected from the graveyard slot. "I'll take back my original Gem-Knight Garnet. But he won't be here for long. I activate Prismaura's ability and send Garnet to the graveyard to destroy one card on the field." The Crystal Prep girl pointed. "I destroy your field spell!" Prismaura raised its shield, aglow in white light. A beam of light shot out from it, enveloping Pipp's field spell as her sanctuary crumbled.

"Without your field spell, you can't avoid damage now! And now for target number two… Gem-Knight Prismaura, attack and destroy Sonata!" Prismaura raised its sword now and charged across the field. Its sword slashed at the girl's diva.

"Due to my Aria's ability, my monster can't be destroyed in battle!" said Pipp.

"Maybe, but you still take damage!" said Roxanne as her monster knocked away Pipp's diva, leaving a mark on its dress.
Pipp's Life Points: 5550-

"Next, Gem-Knight Ruby attack her Aria!"

"I activate my facedown, Lumenize!" said Pipp as she touched her duel screen, and her card flipped up. "With the power of this trap, I can not only negate your attack, but my Aria now gains attack points equal to your monster's attack until the end of my next turn!"

"Lucky break," growled Roxanne as Ruby returned to her field. "I end my turn."

Turn 5: Pipp (Hand 2)

"My turn!" said the popstar as she drew her card. "I summon my Soprano the Melodious Songstress(1400/1400). Then, I activate Soprano's special ability. It lets me fusion summon without using Polymerization. Soprano, this is your moment! Activate your special ability and fuse with Sonata. Together, you'll sing a sensational duet to form an even more melodious monster. I Fusion Summon! Making her grand debut, give it up for the one and only Bacha the Melodious Maestra(2500/1800)!" Out came a woman wearing a red dress with bits of yellow and white, and she had a clear veil attached to the back of her dress. Her hair curved to a point, and she wore a Garbo hat that was tilted to one side as if to hide her right side just above her eye.

"Look at that monster," said Hitch as he saw Pipp's new addition to her deck.

"My Bacha's special ability now activates. When she's summoned, I can special summon a 'Melodious' monster from my deck. Give it up for the chart-topping melody maker, Canon the Melodious Diva(1400/2000)! And now… Aria, attack Gem-Knight Ruby!" commanded Pipp as her monster released another musical soundwave that shattered Roxanne's monster.
Roxanne's Life Points: 6000-

"Now, Bacha, it's your turn!" Pipp's maestra flicked her left hand as she made her conductor baton appear. She began to wave it about as the wind picked up around her. She then pointed the baton as it blew toward Roxanne's Gem-Knight Prismaura and it too shattered.
Roxanne's Life Points: 5550-

"Now we're even," said Pipp as Roxy growled. She didn't like that the girl managed to remove both of her monsters.

"I activate my facedown, Brilliant Spark! Since a 'Gem-Knight' monster was destroyed, you take damage equal to one of those monsters. And I choose my Gem-Knight Prismaura!" said Roxanne. The card's hologram flipped up, and the image of Gem-Knight Prismaura hovered before it. It soon turned red as an energy beam headed toward the girl, who couldn't cover up and fell to a knee.
Pipp's Life Points: 3100-

"What was that about us being even, little songbird?!" shouted Roxanne as she growled at the stylish. "I told you before, you will never be a duelist. Stick with your little livestreams; you clot chaser!"

Pipp winced in pain as she willed herself to stand up slowly but held her shoulder.

"I'll use Canon's ability to switch Aria into defense mode. Then I'll end my turn, and Aria's attack points will return to normal!" said Pipp as her diva bent down and put its arms in an X to defend itself.

Turn 6: Roxanne (Hand 1)

"It's my turn. And I summon my Gem-Elephant(400/1900) in defense mode!" said Roxanne as a trumpet sound was heard. A green elephant appeared with pink gems on its body and tusks. It made a sound as Pipp looked up at the giant animal, which stared down the small girl and looked forward to squashing her.

"I end my turn."

"Hmm."

Pipp was surprised to see that Roxanne had just played a simple monster in defense mode and ended her turn. She hadn't even played a card facedown as insurance.

What is she up to?

Pipp looked at Roxy as the Crystal Prep girl smirked. She was trying to see if she could get any clue into the girl's plan for what she did, but that mask of an expression she had was hard to read. In the end, Pipp couldn't figure it out.

Turn 7: Pipp (Hand 2)

"It's my turn," said Pipp as she drew her card and looked at Roxy's field again. She only had her Gem-Elephant.

I can't tell what she's planning. She just has a monster in defense mode. But there has to be more to it, but what?

Roxanne was enjoying herself at seeing Pipp trying to figure out her plan.

I wish I knew, but if I don't deal with that monster of hers, it might prove a problem later. The obvious choice is to bite, but I'll keep Aria in defense mode just to be safe.

"Bacha! Attack Roxy's Gem-Elephant!" instructed the pop star.

"I knew you would do that. Let me introduce you to my Gem-Elephant's special ability! Since it's being attacked, I can send one Normal monster from my hand so that it gains 1000 defense points! So, I'll discard my Gem-Knight Sapphire!" said Roxanne as the mirage of her monster before putting its arms out to transfer its power to the elephant. "So now that my Gem-Elephant has 2900 defense points, your Bacha won't be able to destroy it, and… you take the difference in their points as damage!" Pipp's monster backed off as the girl gritted her teeth at Roxy, outsmarting her.
Pipp's Life Points: 2700-

"I end my turn."

Turn 8: Roxanne (Hand 0)

"My turn. And I play the spell card, Card of Demise. Now I draw till I'm holding five cards in my hand, but I'll have to discard my entire hand in five turns." said the Crystal Prep girl as she drew to refill her hand. She smiled upon looking at the cards she got as she prepared to make her comeback. "By replenishing my hand, I've got options like this. I play the spell card Dragged Down into the Grave. With the power of this card, we both reveal our hands. Then, we each choose one card among them to send to the graveyard. So show me your hand, little songbird."

Pipp's cards projected for all to see as Roxanne saw them. The Crystal Prep girl smiled upon seeing what she had.

"Interesting cards," smirked Roxanne as Pipp gritted her teeth in defiance. "I'll choose to get rid of your Pinpoint Guard trap card."

"Fine!" said Pipp as her cards ceased projecting. She grabbed the card Roxy had chosen and sent it away. Now it's your turn. Show me what you got!"

"If you insist," said the girl smugly as her cards projected for all to see.

Pipp saw Roxanne's cards individually as the last card in the row made her do a double take. The card that Pipp was focusing on was Roxanne's Gem-Knight Fusion. The songstress was taken aback as she wondered why the Crystal Prep teen didn't play that card since she had monsters in her hand that she drew to use it. Instead, she was basically giving Pipp a chance to send it away.

"What's the matter, songbird? Can't figure out which card you want to get rid of? Or… are you curious as to why I didn't play my Gem-Knight Fusion?" taunted Roxanne.

Pipp gritted her teeth as Roxanne masterfully toyed with her opponent. Seeing the streamer girl trying to wrap her brain around her decision amused her, as it showcased how the songstress was nothing but a fake duelist.

"So… what's your decision gonna be?" asked Roxanne.

I have no choice.

"I choose to get rid of your Gem-Knight Fusion!" said Pipp.

"I figured you'd make that choice," smirked Roxanne as she grabbed the card Pipp selected and sent it away. "Now the second effect of my Dragged Down into the Grave activates. We get to draw a card to replace the one we lost."

"Fine by me," said Pipp as she drew her card and looked at it before adding it to her hand.

"Now… let's see what I get!" said the Crystal Prep girl as she drew and looked at it. "Perfect. I play the spell card Scatter Fusion. Since you control a monster, this spell lets me Fusion summon one 'Non-Rock' Gem-Knight monster from my Extra Deck by using monsters in my deck. So I combine another Gem-Knight Garnet and Gem-Knight Lapis to bring forth a beast that will have you frightened to your core. I Fusion Summon, First of the Dragon(2700/2000)!" A purple dragon appeared with horns sticking out along its face and roared.

"Now… attack her Bacha!" commanded Roxanne as her dragon opened its mouth and fired its attack. Pipp's monster was pushed back by the creature's attack.
Pipp's Life Points: 2500-

"Your Aria's ability may save your monster from destruction, but it seems to be hurting you more than it helps," smirked Roxanne as Pipp looked worried. "I end my turn."

Turn 9: Pipp (Hand 3)

"It's my turn," said the songstress as she drew her card. The songstress looked at her current hand and her field, and the sight of Roxanne's dragon intimidated her.

As long as that monster is on the field, Roxanne's in control. I hate to say it, but she might be right. My monsters may be safe because of Aria, but given my current Life Points, it's not doing much for me. I think I might have to trade in for something else to help me.

"I play this, the spell card Melodious Concerto. I can conduct a fusion summon using monsters on my field. So I'll fuse my Aria, Canon, and Bacha!" said Pipp as her three divas appeared before a swirling vortex was sucked in as orange and purple lights shot out. "Say hello to a diva that is sure to blossom with her performance. I Fusion Summon! Flowering Etoile the Melodious Magnificat(2500/1800)!" A flower appeared as it began to unfold slowly. Within was a teen pink-haired girl her skit was composed of daisies. In her hair were musical hairclips that held her bangs; she had tights and some flowers near her ankles as she twirled.

"Check out that monster!" said Izzy as Pipp debuted another new Melodious monster she had in her new and improved deck.

"Flowering Etoile, why don't you serenade that dragon!" said Pipp as her monster cleared her throat. She opened her mouth and began to sing; colorful musical notes appeared as they headed toward the mighty beast before they all exploded and created a smokescreen.
Roxanne's Life Points: 5450-

The smoke was still present on the field as Pipp and everybody else looked on. It soon began to clear when a sound was heard; Pipp gasped as she saw a shadow within the smoke. Once it cleared out, she was shocked to see Roxanne's dragon still there, and it roared.

"How is that dragon still there? Pipp's monster should have taken it out!" said Hitch.

"Confused?" Roxy asked, seeing the baffled expression on the stylish's face. "It's because of my monster's ability. See, my dragon is special in the sense that he can only be defeated by a Normal monster."

"By a Normal monster?!" said Pipp, finding herself in deeper trouble.

"This is bad. Pipp's deck doesn't have a single Normal monster," said Zipp.

"So there's no way she can get around that dragon," said Sunny.

"I set one card facedown." said the popstar as she couldn't do anything else.

Turn 10: Roxanne (Hand 3)

"My move!" the Crystal Prep girl said as she drew with a smile on her face. "Here's a card you should remember from our last duel. I play Brilliant Fusion! With this spell, I can fuse monsters in my deck!"

"Oh, no!" said the stylish, as she didn't like what Roxy was planning.

"I'll take three Gem-Knights… Gem-Knight Crystal, Emerald, and Iolite… and fuse my trio together!" the girl stated as her duel disk ejected the three cards; she grabbed them and held them up to show her rival. "My three Gem-Knights will meld the red fire of truth, the gleaming knight of good fortune, and the wisdom of the purple knight, recombining their strengths to make way for an even more powerful monster!" All three monsters appeared above Roxanne as they stuck their hands out in a highfive and began combining their powers. "I Fusion Summon… the mighty Gem-Knight Master Diamond(2900/2500)!" A large warrior burst onto the scene. It towered over the field in silver and beige armor, a large sword on its back. It brought an arm back, gripped the handle, and swung it forward, seven colored gemstones on the blade's sides lighting up.

"That monster is trouble," said Roll, as they knew how much of a threat Roxy's Gem-Knight Master Diamond was.

"Are you nervous yet, Ms. Popstar?" taunted the Crystal Prep girl.

"You may have brought out your heavy hitter, but don't forget that because you used Brilliant Fusion to summon it, its attack and defense points drop to zero!" Pipp stated as Roxy's monster lost its power.

"How naive you are… did you also forget my spell's other effect? If I send a spell card to my graveyard, my monster's attack points return to normal until my next turn. And so I'll do just that!" said Roxanne as she took another card from her hand and slotted it into her duel disk graveyard. Her monster's gemstones lit up as it powered up. "And let's not forget Master Diamond's special ability. He gains 100 attack points for every 'Gem' monster in my graveyard… and I happen to have 13 'Gem' monsters. So, my Master Diamond gains 1300 extra attack points for a grand total of 4200!"

"I don't like the sound of that, guys!" said Zipp as she was worried for her little sister.

"Since my diamond's all polished up now, I think I'll use it. Master Diamond… shine bright and take out Pipp's Flowering Etoile!" commanded the Crystal Prep girl.

"If this attack connects, it's over!" said Hitch, as without a monster to protect her, Pipp would be wide open for Roxy's dragon to finish her off.

"Say goodbye, little songbird!" yelled Roxanne as her giant warrior reeled its sword back and looked to swing it.

"Pipp!" yelled Zipp.

"I activate my facedown, Prevent Reborn. Thanks to this trap, if a monster is destroyed by battle, I can reduce that damage by 1000!" said the songstress as Roxanne's giant warrior took down her monster; the blade slashed at her monster and exploded. The girl covered up as she managed to withstand the attack.
Pipp's Life Points: 2100-

"Next, the second effect of my Prevent Reborn activates. I can bring back that monster. So my Flowering Etoile is back!" said Pipp as her monster rose and was back for more.

"Lucky bitch!" growled Roxanne, gritting her teeth at Pipp's ability to survive.

"Awesome! She not only reduced the amount of damage she took, but she brought her monster," said Zipp, impressed by her sister's move.

"And there's more. See, Flowering Etoile has an effect when it leaves the field due to my opponent. I can summon a 'Melodious' monster from my Deck or Extra Deck. So I'm summoning my Tamtam the Melodious Diva(1000/2000) in defense mode!" said Pipp as she took the card, her duel disk ejected and grabbed it. She placed her card on her tray, and her monster appeared beside her other one. "And due to Tamtam's ability when she's special summoned, I can add a 'Polymerization' from my deck to my hand!"

"I end my turn."

Turn 11: Pipp (Hand 3)

"It's my move! I play the spell card, Fortissimo! Now, until my next Standby Phase, a 'Melodious' monster of mine gains 800 extra attack points. So I choose my Flowering Etoile!" stated Pipp as her monster powered up. "Flowering Etoile, attack her First of the Dragons!" The diva warmed up her voice once more as she belted out another round of musical notes that the creature tanked before roaring while Roxanne covered up.
Roxanne's Life Points: 4550-

"I now end my turn, and your Master Diamond loses its attack points due to Brillant Fusion." (Hand 2)

Turn 12: Roxanne (Hand 2)

"It's my move. And like before, I'll send a spell card to the grave to restore my Master Diamond's attack points. And don't forget about his ability. He gets an extra 1300 on top of that!" stated Roxy as her monster's sword lit up. "Next… I activate Master Diamond's other ability. By banishing Ruby from my graveyard, Master Diamond gains its effect. It can inflict piercing damage when it battles a monster in defense mode!"

"That's not good!" said Zipp.

"Why?" asked Izzy.

"Because Pipp only has 2100 Life Points. Tamtam has 2000 defense points, and Master Diamond currently has 4200 attack points. Therefore, Pipp is gonna lose 2200 points of damage." said Mario.

"But is that happens then…" said Hitch as he and the others all were now worried.

"Master Diamond, time to cancel this streamer's career. Slice and dice her Tamtam!" commanded Roxy as her monster reeled its sword back and looked to swing at the small diva.

"It's not over yet!" screamed Pipp as she quickly grabbed a card from her hand and slotted it to her graveyard. "By discarding my Score the Melodious Diva from my hand, the monster it battles has its attack and defense points drop to zero until the end of the turn!"

Pipp's monster appeared before she began to sing with Tamtam. The two divas merged their melodies as they formed a perfect harmony that weakened Master Diamond's power. The sword made contact with the sound barrier that protected both divas as it ricocheted back to Roxanne, who covered up.
Roxanne's Life Points: 2550-

"Nice thinking on Pipp's part!" said Sunny as she praised the girl for her quick thinking in surviving Roxanne's attack.

"I am really getting tired of you!" said the Crystal Prep girl.

Turn 13: Pipp (Hand 1)

"It's my turn!" said Pipp as she drew her card and looked at it. "It's time to close things out, Roxy. You know it."

"Then what are you waiting for?!" said the Crystal Prep girl.

Pipp took a deep breath as she knew what she had to do as a duelist. "I summon Crystal Rose(500/500)! And thanks to Crystal Rose's special ability, it can substitute for any monster I want… and I choose my Mozarta the Melodious Maestra!" said the stylish as the flower glowed and a mirage-like version of her monster appeared in the reflection. "Then… I activate Polymerization to fuse my Crystal Rose with my Tamtam!" Both monsters hovered in the air as they were sucked into a swirling vortex, emitting purple and orange lights. "I Fusion Summon! Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir(1000/2000)!" A flower bud appeared as it peeled back the pink petals and revealed the small songstress donned in white inside.

"Due to Tamtam's ability, when it's used to fusion summon, I can target one 'Melodious' monster I control, and it loses 500 attack points, but in exchange, you lose 500 Life Points. So I choose my Bloom Diva!" said Pipp as her monster weakened.
Roxanne's Life Points: 2050-

"Bloom Diva, close out this duel! When it battles, your monster is destroyed instead of mine, and you take all the damage instead of me! Go… Vaporizing Vocal!" shouted Pipp. Her songstress opened her mouth as her voice began to echo for all to hear. It rang angelically as an energy beam shot out of her mouth.

Master Diamond put its blade out horizontally as it blocked the attack. The giant warrior held back the attack as Pipp's diva kept on singing. Despite it holding strong, the cracks in its armor began to show as it slowly appeared on its hands before traveling up to its arms. Crack by crack, the giant could feel its power being used against it as it tried to stand its ground. Pipp's songstress turned up the volume as she began to sing even louder; the warrior could feel his grip fading as his sword began to shake and his legs buckled. Pipp's monster put more into its singing attack as in the blink of an eye, the giant warrior felt the attack pierce and shatter its gem-studded blade and shoot right through it. Roxanne saw her massive monster fall as she covered up, but that did little to none as she was taken off her feet and landed on the ground.
Roxanne's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Pipp

"Students… the winner of the second duel is Ms. Pipp Petals!" said Luna through the mic.

The crowd of CHS students roared, ecstatic at Pipp's victory. The girl fell to her hands and knees as the duel took a lot out of her. Pipp lifted her head as she took in the celebration that her classmates were showing. She smiled as she brought a hand to wave at them before a strand of her hair fell in front of her face. She moved it out of the way before noticing how wet her hand got from gazing at her forehead.

"I'm going to need a hot shower after this," said Pipp, now realizing how beat up she looked and the stench she had from such an intense duel.

"That's two. There's hope yet!" said Celestia as she was more than pleased that Pipp got another win.

"Now… but you forget, Tia. Hope can so easily be crushed," smiled Sombra as he looked at the screen, which was already selecting the next pair of duelists to fight, as he had a good feeling about this one.

Down below, Pipp had returned to her feet and returned to the others as they all applauded her.

"Nicely done, sis!"

"Great job, Pipp!"

"Thanks, Sunny."

The stylist looked at Mario who simply locked eyes with the girl who approached him.

"Thanks," said the girl as she gave Mario some acknowledgment for all the training and sessions he gave her to help her win. The boy smiled as she kissed his cheek.

"Alright, guys. We've got two wins so far, so our odds are looking good right now!" said Sunny, as Roll and Pipp's individual wins put them in a less-than-worried state. "As long as we continue this momentum, we got a chance."

"Uh, Sunny…" said as she poked her friend in the shoulder to get her attention.

"What is it, Izzy?" asked the girl as she looked at her friend.

"Look," said the girl with a carefree smile.

Sunny looked at where the girl was pointing as she gasped. The moment she saw it, she was shocked. She couldn't believe what she was seeing, but that didn't change the fact that it was happening. Soon, everything came rushing towards her as she tried to understand the atmosphere surrounding her. Then, the microphone was heard as Luna spoke into it.

"The third duel of this event will feature Canterlot High's Team Captain, Sunny Starscout against… Crystal Prep's Princess… Flurry Heart!"

"Oh, shit," muttered Zipp as they all looked at Sunny.

Sunny was still processing what was announced as she looked at Flurry from afar. The Crystal Prep girl smiled before she stood up and gave an intense and intimidating look that made Sunny feel a bit scared. Sombra was smiling up a storm in the booth as he was proven right about his gut feeling. Celestia had gone from hopeful to worried in a heartbeat at hearing the announcement of Flurry's name. Flurry was looking at her opponent as she was so looking forward to making an example of Sunny in front of her friends, and they could do nothing but watch the slaughter that was about to happen.

"Final Boss… engaged!" said Flurry.

Author's Note: Congrats to Pipp for winning her duel and settling the score with Roxanne. Now she's managed to give CHS another win, so they're now two for two. However... it seems that might all change very quickly. And it looks like we don't have to wait long for what's to come. All Sunny can do is pray... and hope.
