As the young man was sweating profusely from fear of being discovered by the people in the room, he instinctively hid the photos in his back pocket as well as the box of 'Okamoto' that came with Rikka's present.
There was a knock once again, and the knob twisted as the door opened. He was then met with Isanari, who had a flushed face - clearly a sign that he was intoxicated from the drink with Maruo. Yet, his calm and quite normal movements suggested otherwise.
"Fuutarou, are you free? Let's take a father and son walk outside," he asked with a soft tone. If he didn't know any better, he would have mistaken Isanari for being sober.
"Sure," Fuutarou replied as he checked his back pocket, making sure that the pictures were not visible to others, before nervously following his dad outside.
The two walked out of the inn, at a mountain park just near the inn as they felt the cold night air.
Isanari took a deep breath and began to speak, "Fuutarou, happy birthday... I know I haven't been the best dad in the past since I let you work to clear our debts and you gave up a lot of things... But I want you to know that I am truly sorry for that and I am going to do everything in my power to make it up to you. Starting today, I will be making sure that you have everything you need to live a happy and comfortable life, without having to sacrifice your own dreams and aspirations. I'm already learning the recipes your mom left behind so I can work in the bakery... I might teach Raiha too..."
Fuutarou listened intently, feeling a mix of emotions. Part of him was still hurt by the past or any talk about his late mother, but another part of him was touched by his father's sincerity. He replied, "It's nothing, dad. You worked alone to support two children. That's more than enough," He reassured him that he did his best for providing for him and his sister.
Isanari grinned, "Thank you, my boy. And speaking of family, I hope you're planning on giving me at least ten grandchildren. One from each of your lovely partners, of course," he said with a chuckle and a hint of amusement in his voice. Fuutarou became flustered by the mention of that, as he remembered the gifts from the two eldest quintuplets. 'T-they aren't sending any signals, right?' He thought nervously.
Fuutarou tried to shake off the feeling of nervousness and laughed, "Dad, I think that's a bit of a stretch. I haven't even thought about starting a family yet."
Isanari chuckled, "I know, I know. I'm just joking with you, son. But I want you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what you decide to do in the future. I just want you to be happy."
Fuutarou felt a warmth in his heart, knowing that his father was always there for him. "Thanks, Dad. I appreciate it," he said, smiling.
The two of them walked in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying each other's company. As they turned to walk back home, Isanari put his arm around Fuutarou's shoulder and said, "I'm proud of the young man you've become."
Fuutarou felt a lump form in his throat, he didn't know his father felt that way. "Thanks, Dad," he replied, feeling grateful for the talk they just had.
"Also, you mentioned 'yet' earlier... That means you are definitely going to have a big family!" Isanari said as his words started to slur, the amount of alcohol he consumed seemed to have started to take effect on him. Not long after, Isanari passed out.
Fuutarou sighed before smiling softly and started to carry his dad back to the inn as the clock strikes midnight.
As Fuutarou was carrying his father, who was already unconscious due to the alcohol, he saw a familiar silvered haired girl with violet eyes sitting on a bench.
"Oh? Oh!? It's you! The guy who helped me get to the train station in the past!" the girl shouted as she pointed at him and stood up.
"Hm? Oh! Miss Foreigner?" He asked as he finally remembered who the familiar girl was.
"I have a name and it's Lana, you bescheuert!" Lana said as she pouted and crossed her arms while saying the last word.
"Bes- what? What was that?" Fuutarou asked in confusion as he placed his unconscious and drunk father on another bench near them.
"Hmph, you don't need to know. Call. Me. By. My. Name." As she said that, with each word, she took a step closer to him, and they were now just centimeters apart.
"Fine, fine, Lana," Fuutarou said as he pushed her away. But when he pushed her, the pictures that were hidden fell from his back pocket, which he immediately noticed and tried to grab, but Lana got to them first.
"Hm? Is this Your girlfriend, relatives or sisters?" She asked as she examined the picture as Fuutarou was now very nervous while Lana took a closer look, "They look pretty gifted to be honest... I think they have D-cups... Are you helping them choose their underwear?" She asked in curiosity.
"O-oh uh yes! I'm just helping them!" He exclaimed as he laughed nervously while Lana squinted her eyes.
"Is that so? Tell them that the black one with stockings would look better," Lana replied as she handed the photos back to Fuutarou. "I help my sisters and friends pick underwear back home so you could say I'm an expert in these kinds of stuff," she smiled.
"I see..." He softly said as he placed the pictures back into his pocket.
"But you haven't answered my question yet... Is one of them your girlfriend or are they both relatives or close friends of yours?" Lana asked suspiciously as she took another step closer...
