Refueling and Encountering an Energetic Survivor
Cruz, Nene, Rei, Yukana, and Ranko are seen on the high road looking down at a city street with the zombies walking down aimlessly going somewhere random.
"I wonder if anyone will come to rescue us?" Rei asked hoping.
"I'm afraid that may not happen." Cruz said.
"Why not?" Rei confused.
"Remember those helicopters we saw back at school? I fear the military and whatever special forces are already having their hands full dealing with more zombies in the way and will probably only help important people." Cruz pointed out.
"In other words, we're fucked up on our own." Ranko rolled her eyes.
"What? So, no help is coming to all at us?" Yukana shocked.
"It just means we have to survivor together, hopefully regroup with the others and find somewhere to be safe from all this even if it just for a few days." Cruz stated.
"We should also think about getting more weapons, I only halfway through none of my arrows." Nene mentioned.
"Then we better get moving if we want to live to see the others by morning." Rei said starting the motorcycle again and they ride through the road.
(With Saeko and Others)
The group within the bus are caught in a tight traffic jam with the vehicles moving slower almost like a turtle at the pace their going while some policemen are telling everyone to not leave their cars no matter what, as if they didn't need to know that much.
"We move any slower, we'd be going in reverse." Saeko said.
"At this rate, I'm not sure if we can cross the bridge before dawn." Saya stated.
Then they hear a grumbling noise coming from Kohta who is starting to feel hungry as he hasn't eaten anything since lunch back at school.
"Will you stop that!" Saya complained.
"Hey, give him a break. We're all gonna be hungry at some point, until then…" Yui pulled out a meat jerky handing it to Kohta.
"Oh, thanks Yu, you're the best." Kohta smiled as he eats it.
"How many more do you have?" Saeko asked.
Before Yui could answer that question, they heard some gunshot noise coming from outside as there was a zombie walking to three armed policemen as they are shooting one and another down.
Two girls on the bus got scared, but Shido came comforting them.
"It's okay, you're safe here. You have nothing to worry about, my darlings." Shido assured while hiding an evil smile.
Saya, Saeko, Yui and Kotha are the only ones who can see that Shido is being cunning to manipulate those girls and some of the others to follow him which they didn't like.
"(Cruz, I hope you and the others are doing okay.)" Saeko thought looked at the night sky.
"Are we there?" Shizuka asked yawning.
"No, Miss Marikawa, we're barely moving as it is." Kyoko exclaimed.
"(I'm not sure if I can handle being on this bus any longer with Shido here, and it would seem I'm not the only one who feels that way.)" Yui thought glared at Shido.
(With Cruz's Group)
Cruz and the girls are riding through a road of a broken part of the city looking around seeing everything is now empty with broken glass and other destroyed things of the streets with only some lights are on shining through the darkness. They felt remorse that this once busy and fun looking place has now become what feels like a ghost own, barely any life moving besides a couple of stray cats they spotted along the way.
"Everything here is empty…" Nene said sadden.
"Do you think everyone here got away?" Yukana asked.
"Maybe not all of them, some probably got killed and turned into zombies." Ranko stated.
"That's most likely, the survivors have also gone to find others and try to get to a shelter place." Cruz guessed.
"Hopefully, they're okay." Rei said as she looks ahead and her eyes widen with a smile.
"Guys, look over there!" Rei alerted the others as she points at a police car with the headlights on.
"Oh, maybe a police officer can help us." Nene said feeling a little relief.
"Hold on, there could be a chance that it's not a police officer in that car and probably stolen." Cruz pointed out.
"Maybe so, but it wouldn't hurt to see if the person is friendly and take him or her with us." Yukana stated as Ranko move to the police car.
However, their hope was soon shattered into pieces when they saw that there is a policeman inside only to find him dead and it was slammed to the wall by a garbage truck.
"Well, that's fucking great." Nene sighed.
"You girls stay here." Cruz said as he jumped out of the sidecar and move to the police car.
"What are you doing, Cruz?" Rei asked.
"I'm going to see if there is anything useful, we can use like weapons and other tools." Cruz answered.
"Wow, that just what I was thinking. I'm coming too." Rei said as she steps off her motorcycle.
"Be careful, I see leaking gas." Ranko warned.
Cruz and Rei look inside the police car seeing the dead body of the policeman as they look around trying to see if they can find anything for them to use to help, Rei spotted a gun with a barrel that pops open revealing that it can use five bullets. Cruz noticed something on the floor of the passenger seat, he slowly picks it up while being cautious and saw that the object is what appears to be a combat knife and also found a teaser too.
"Huh, I wonder what kind of knife this is?" Cruz asked as the knife appears to be a little bigger than a normal one.
"Come on, I don't think we can find anything else, we better head back to the others." Rei said as Cruz agrees and walked back to the small group.
"These were all we can find." Cruz reported.
"Well, better than nothing, I guess." Ranko shrugged.
"Wish you found some food, I'm getting hungry." Yukana rubbed her stomach.
"We'll see if we can find any stores are gas stations that could have some food for us to eat." Cruz suggested.
"Hopefully, they weren't stolen or anything." Nene said as the group rides off.
A few minutes later, they found a gas station with the lights still on meaning the place is probably still running consider gas stations are usually open for 24 hours a day.
"I heard that one gas station has enough gasoline for a thousand cars, so we should be able to get some from here." Yukana informed.
"You're right, but there is just one problem…" Cruz exclaimed.
"What's that?" Rei asked.
"The pump gas is self-service; we have to put money or a card in to get the gas pumping in the bikes." Cruz revealed.
"Oh dear, did anyone bring any money with them, I think I only have one or two thousand yen." Nene pulled out her wallet from between her breasts to check.
"Hey, no worries because this girl is prepared." Yukana smiled and pulled out a credit card from her sweat pocket.
"Oh, that's great!" Nene amazed.
"Yep, Yukana usually uses cash to pay for whatever small stuff she wants to buy and only use the card for emergencies which I believe this count as one." Ranko explained.
"Good, you get the gas in the bike while I'll grab us some snacks for the road." Cruz said walking to the store of the gas station.
"Hey wait, you're need something to defend yourself with." Yukana said.
"But I already got the bat." Cruz said showing the bat he used to kill Hisashi to save him.
"Hold on, I got an idea." Yukana grabbed the teaser and the knife Cruz brought and got to work on putting them together, taking the knife out of the handle and tapping it together to the teaser, then connecting the knife and the two metal spikes of the teaser with a paperclip.
"Ta-da! You're very own teaser-knife!" Yukana presented it to Cruz.
"Wow, that's amazing! How'd you learn to do that?" Cruz asked.
"Just a little something I learned through arts and crafts, now you have two ways of defending yourself." Yukana smiled.
"Thanks." Cruz thanked thinking this new knife will definitely help.
"Good, and Ranko can go with you." Yukana volunteered her best friend for her.
"Huh, but why? I should be staying here protecting you!" Ranko proclaimed.
"Because Cruz is going to need some help carrying the food from the store. Besides, I can handle myself in a fight." Yukana showed the pipe she found while Cruz and Rei were checking the police car earlier and tapped some knives onto it.
"Okay, just shout if any zombies or insane people come your way." Ranko said before she and Cruz went into the store.
They went inside trying to see if there's anybody but as expected, the place is empty and also there are some stuffs on the floor meaning the place was trash by some panicking people or something else.
"Looks like there are still some plastic bags here." Cruz founded the bags behind the register.
"That's good, now we should get as much food as we can carry and hurry back to Yukana." Ranko said.
"You really care for Yukana, don't you?" Cruz asked.
"Of course, I do! Yukana and I known each other since we were little kids, she's everything to me and if anything were to happen to her, I wouldn't be able to continue living!" Ranko stated strongly, then her hand was grabbed by Cruz's.
"Don't worry, I promise you and Yukana will be alive throughout this end of the world bullshit with my very life because I will find a way to solve what caused this in the first place and undo them all!" Cruz determined which struck Ranko in the heart.
"Kid…?" Ranko shocked to even feel this way to a little kid as her cheeks blushed.
"Come now, we should get some" Cruz's sentence was cut off when he heard a clanking sound of a soda can hitting the floor.
"Did you hear that?" Cruz asked.
"Yeah, just now… There's something else here." Ranko said tightening her grip on her bat.
Cruz slowly moves forward hoping to see whatever made that soda can fall on the floor is a human survivor and a reasonable one too, then he saw what appears to be a figure moving through the shadows and barely seen from some small lights in the store.
"Hello, is anyone there? I promise, we're not here to hurt you!" Cruz called out, but no respond.
"Hey! Whatever weirdo you are, better come out or else I'll trash the place to find you!" Rank threatened.
"Hold on, Ranko! If we make too much noise, we'll draw in the zombies." Cruz warned.
Cruz heard something close to his left and quickly grab the nearest object he could grab which is an apple.
"Over there!" Cruz threw the apple at the mysterious figure hitting the person on the head.
"Ow, that hurt!" A girl's voice whined.
"There really is someone here!" Cruz gasped.
"Let's hope it's not someone we can kill." Ranko said.
"Hey now, just because you got the jump on me doesn't mean you can take my sodas!" The girl glared.
"What? Take your sodas?" Cruz confused.
"Look, I promise we're not here to steal anything from you. We just want to gather some food from this store and be on our way." Cruz explained.
"Huh, wait a minute… Are you two real people?" The girl asked shock.
"Did you really not notice that until now?" Ranko deadpanned.
"Yes, we are and we're gathering other survivors so we can get through this crazy zombie apocalypse together. My name is Cruz Schild, by the way, and this here is Ranko Honjo." Cruz introduced himself.
"Sup." Ranko greeted.
"Oh wow, I never thought I would meet real people after all the crazy shit that's been going on this morning!" The girl felt relieved.
"My name is Eve Neuschwanstein, nice to meet you." Eve introduced herself.
Eve is a young girl with long dark blue hair and blue eyes. She has a slim body. She wears a black school uniform with a red and orange skirt, long black socks, and brown shoes. Breasts sizes: E-cup.
"So, you guys robbing the store, huh? I guess that would be something a lone survivor would do, right Yamada?" Eve chuckled.
"Well, I may not like it, but there are things that I would do in order to protect the ones I love!" Cruz stated, then realize something.
"Wait, did you just call me Yamada?" Cruz asked causing Eve to gasp.
"Damn it, I forgot your name already! This always happens sometimes which is the reason why I don't have any friends!" Eve explained sobbing.
"Hey, don't worry, I'm sure you'll get it right, but right now we need to get going." Cruz said.
"Okay, just let me grab my Super Gel Dero Doro Drink." Eve said turning around to the soda aisle.
"Super Gel what?" Ranko confused.
"Super Gel Dero Doro Drink! They're the best soda cans you can have that taste like you have three or more in one drink, so you won't have to worry about feeling hungry again!" Eve explained showing the soda can.
"Oh yeah, my big sister drink some of those said they contained 5000 kilocalories per can." Cruz recalled.
"Seriously? What kind of soda has that many kilocalories?" Ranko surprised.
"I even packed them all into this cooler to keep the drinks nice and cold!" Eve lifted up a cooler to show them.
"Wow, that's a lot of them!" Cruz surprised.
"I'm not sure if I want to drink that…" Ranko concerned for her health and mentally thinking of keeping Yukana away from that stuff.
"Hopefully, we can carry them all." Cruz said
"I'm not leaving without them, they're the best drinks in the whole damn world!" Eve proclaimed as she shakes rapidly with one can.
"AAAAAHHH?!" Yukana screamed.
"That was Yukana!" Ranko worried and ran outside with Cruz and Eve.
They came outside soon seeing a black thug holding Yukana tightly with one arm and holding a knife close to her neck.
"My, my, I hit the jackpot with all these fucking ladies!" The black thug laughed.
"Sir, please calm down and let's be reasonable!" Cruz tried handle the situation.
"Shut it, kid! I don't give a fuck, you think I'd go for one of those stanky-ass zombies! No way in Hell!" The black thug smirked.
"You crazy bastard! Let her go!" Ranko demanded.
"Crazy, huh? Yeah, I certainly am… My whole family was turned into zombies right in front of my eyes. I had to… I had to smash all of their heads; how could I not be normal after that!" The black thug laughed.
"You dirty bastard!" Yukana angered.
"Fucking bitch! Keep quiet and maybe I won't be too rough with you!" The black thug pushed the knife a little onto her neck.
"Look, if you want something than we can give you some food we have and you can even keep one of the bikes, just let her go." Cruz offered a deal.
"Oh, that's a hard bargain you're making for a little brat. Why don't you start bring me the key one of them bikes and maybe I'll think about letting this cutie go." The black thug smirked.
"Rei, give me the key." Cruz asked.
"But Cruz…" Rei gasped.
"Just do it, please." Cruz begged.
Rei knew this was a idea to let this jerk go like that, but she also didn't want anything bad happening to Yukana as did Cruz leaving her no choice but to go along with this. She hands Cruz the key to her motorcycle, and he slowly make his way to the thug.
"You know, this girl here feel's pretty nice with the boobs and body. I think I might keep her." The black thug licked her lips.
"You fucking bastard, I swear if you do anything to Yukana, I will…" Ranko growled in rage.
"Don't worry, Ranko, I promise she'll be safe." Cruz slowly moving the key to the thug, and he threw them in the air.
"Just she doesn't mind getting wet." Cruz pulled out the Super Gel Dero Doro Drink and open it for the spraying to come out surprising the thug and Yukana got out of his grip.
"Why you fucker!" The black thug angered.
But before he could do anything, Cruz stab him in the stomach with the tease-knife shocking him in pain as the thug screams being shocked from both the outside and inside until Cruz pulls the knife out and the thug fell dead.
"Cruz, are you okay?" Nene asked worry.
"I'm fine… Just something that is bond to happen, now let's get going. Company's coming." Cruz said as some zombies are coming. Then Yukana hugs him and saying thank you for saving her.
"Wow, that was super awesome! I didn't think you would use my soda for something like that." Eve amazed.
"Well, it was the soda can you were shaking earlier." Cruz mentioned.
With the motorcycles all fueled up and food has been acquired, the group left the gas station in a hurry as the zombies are coming in.

Man, what a crazy night for Cruz and his small group as they encounter an insane guy who tried to take Yukana but Cruz was able to save her and killed his second person of the day, only this time he was a jerk and deserved to die. And now they have a new member named Eve as they go to reunite with the others.
