Deadly Rescue with Small Giant Strength!
Alice's dad knocks on the dead twice and waited for a respond, but no one answered. He knocks on the door again.
"Hey Kohta, you better look at this." Cruz said, getting the sniper to look at the three people outside.
"Oh shit, a dad and two little girls with one of them being his daughter and the other being a friend." Kohta gasped softly.
"How can you tell that one of them is the man's daughter?" Cruz asked, a little surprise that Kohta just said it like that.
"I have my moments." Kohta shrugged.
"Hello! Please open it, please let us in! I got two children with me, and we didn't make it out with the other evacuated people." Alice's pleaded for help, but no respond again.
"Please! Just for one night, just one night and we'll be out of your hair!" Alice's dad promised.
"Get away from the door! Go somewhere else!" One man of the house shouted in fear.
Alice's dad can tell these people are really scared of the zombies being everywhere and fear that he might have gotten infected even though he's fine, but all he can think about is getting Alice and Mio safe.
"Please! I don't care about what happens to me, but at least let the two little girls in! They need shelter, and safe calm to get away from all the bad things!" Alice's father pleaded to take them in.
"Those people aren't going to let them in." Cruz said, seeing how no one is even slightly opening the door.
"It's Saeko said earlier, not everyone is capable of saving other people and they'll push anyone away just to save their own sorry ass." Kohta pointed out.
"Oh, it looks like the dad is gonna try burst down the door." Kohta saw the dad holding up a wrench over his head.
But then a light is turned back on to the front door which surprises Alice's dad believing they're going to let the children in, or so he thought.
Then Alice's dad got stabbed right in the chest, the man was shocked of the people would resort to just killing anyone because they wouldn't allow those outside to come into their home.
"Why…?" Alice's dad asked, shocked and feeling his life, leaving his body faster than he could react.
"I'm sorry… I'm sorry…" The man who stabbed the dad apologized with his body all shaken up.
Alice is shocked of seeing someone would hurt her daddy who has been nothing bad in his life, as far as she knows, and he has been nice to others yet seeing the blood dropping down from the makeshift spear and the flesh of his body.
The man of the house pulled away his spear allowing Alice's dad to stumble backward and fell on the front yard.
"I'm so sorry…" The man of the house apologized again as he closes the door.
However, Mio would not have it, not one bit.
Mio grab the front door before it close and pulled it away from the man's hand, and not just that but she also literally rips the door away from the frame with surprisingly super strength beyond that of a little girl.
"Sorry? Sorry? Are you really sorry?" Mio angered and threw the door away that crashed right into the house across the street from her behind right.
The loud crashing sounds of the empty house and conveniently turned on a radio box playing a heavy rock music that got the attentions of the zombies within the street area of the neighborhood with the volume set to the highest noise it can make.
"What the fuck just happened?!" Cruz and Kohta shocked of the little girl's crazy strength.
"How dare you!" Mio grabbed the spear to pull the man in closer to her and slams his head down to the concrete making little cracks.
"That man you just killed was a kind man, you just killed! I had only known him for one day, but I can already tell how much of a kind man he was and a good father to Alice, he always worked hard to raise a child with a wife he lost to these zombies, he even went out of his way to take me in when I was all alone and lost my whole family to the zombies!" Mio clutched her hand onto the crying man's head as the pressure is slowly crushing him.
"Do you have any idea of how hurt and torn you have caused Alice now! She has no parents or anyone to care for, making her a damn orphan!" Mio pointed out angry with tears coming out.
"I bet you do this to all the people who come here seeking shelter and all you can do is give them death just to save your own pathetic skin!" Mio glared down and snapped the knife off from the pole.
"P-Please, I… I didn't, I have my family and"
"And does that give you the right to just kill off anyone who seeks help from others? To get through the fucking reality of the zombies that is now?" Mio asked pressing her hand on the head harder.
"M-Mio… Stop…" Alice's dad begged, still having a bit of strength left to speak some more.
"Daddy!" Alice hurried over to her dad.
"Mio, just let him go." Alice dad begged.
"Are you serious? The man just stabbed you and now you're on your deathbed! How can you just suddenly forgive him?" Mio asked shock.
"Because I… I know how he feels, he just wants to protect his family like me to you two." Alice dad stated.
"Alice is still young while you're the older one, you have to help her get through this harsh life that has been forced upon the world. Protect the precious smile I love." Alice's dad requested with one hand on Alice's cheek as she cries.
"And please, I know it's going to happen to her in the future, but please make sure Alice doesn't kill anyone and keep her hands clean from the bloodshed as long as you can." Alice's dad pleaded.
"But also help her learn to survive while caring for others, don't want her to become a ruthless and heartless woman of the apocalypse." Alice's dad said.
"Daddy, please don't talk like that! You're gonna be okay!" Alice begged her dad to stay strong.
"Alice, you and Mio must take care of each other. Love each other as sisters, being together is the only way to survive, and if you happen to meet good people then be with them too." Alice's dad advised as his life is fading more to the brink of death.
"I know you two… will be great together… just never… never… never lose… hope." Alice's dad said his final words and his hand drop on his chest.
The man is gone, no longer have any light of life in his eyes as Alice starts to cry with the loss of her father and Mio went silent of sadness of losing a man who saw her like another daughter.
"I hope you find peace." Mio said before looking down at the man and release her hand from his head.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you as that will set a bad example for Alice since she's still just a kid." Mio said before looking at the knife.
"But it looks like I still can't let go of my anger towards you just yet, so a proper punishment is in order." Mio held the man's fingers and cut them clean off with the knife and her strength.
The man screams in utter agonizing pain of having all ten of his fingers cut off, but the scream only lasted for literally five seconds as Mio punched him in the head and knocking him out cold.
"Now you will never kill another soul who seeks help and shelter ever again." Mio glared at the man.
Mio stands up turning over to Alice who is still crying that her daddy isn't opening her eyes, having witness her father's death isn't something a child should go through and yet that happen to her right now.
"Alice, come on. We have to go." Mio said.
"But… But what about daddy?" Alice sobbed.
"I'm afraid daddy won't be able to come with us anymore, but that doesn't mind he won't be with us in our hearts. As long as we don't forget about him, we keep his memories alive within us, then he'll always watch over us from afar." Mio stated calmly with a smile.
Mio pulls Alice into a hug letting her cry while the older pink hair girl looks over to the zombie horde still being occupied with the loud music, but now she needs to think of a way to get past them.
"Oh man, that was intense! That little girl just threw the door away like a muscle builder or even stronger!" Kohta gasped.
However, Cruz didn't say anything to respond to that comment as he keeps flickering the flashlight he found around the house and shine the light in the direction of the duel pink hair girls.
"Hey Cruz, what are you doing?" Kohta asked when he notice this.
"Telling them to come over here." Cruz answered without losing contact with the two girls.
"What?! Are you serious, do you even see the horde of zombies right in front of them?" Kohta asked gasp.
"I'm sorry for being quite this entire time, but I don't think we have to worry about them getting in that zombie mess with how crazy strong that girl is!" Yui said finally speaking up.
"Exactly, which is why I believe she and that other little girl will be able to get here through the zombies in one piece." Cruz nodded.
"(However, I don't feel like we should stay in this house for long.)" Cruz thought believed.
"Now, let just hope they can see my morse code." Cruz hoped.
"Yui, would you mind alerting the others about two new residents coming to us and bring out some extra blankets too." Cruz ordered.
"Sure, Saya is gonna have a field day with this." Yui entered the house from the balcony.
"You're really trying to live up that Emerald Savior title, are you?" Kohta asked.
"I may not be able to save everyone, but I can try to save those within my reach, and I'll gladly risk my own life to protect them in the end." Cruz stated strongly with a strong fire in his eyes.
Kohta smiles upon seeing his junior friend being so determined and strong for a kid younger than him, yet he seems to be a strong young man, he finds a newfound respect for the emerald hair boy as he keeps a lookout for the zombies with his rifle gun for extra measure.
"(Okay, think, Mio. You need to get yourself and Alice out of this mess.)" Mio thought tried to think of a plan.
But that's when she heard the barking sound of a dog as she looks in one direction seeing a little dog in the front yard barking at the zombies.
"Looks like it's not just humans who hate the zombies." Mio chuckled.
"Hey Mio, I think someone is wasting electricity over there." Alice pointed at the flickering light at one house over.
Mio takes a look seeing the weird flashing pattern but it was she then soon realizes something.
"I don't think those are some random flashes, that looks like it's coming from a flashlight. I think it was called… what was it again?" Mio asked.
"Oh, I know it was something about the military people use when they couldn't use cellphones and such." Mio tried to remember the words, but nothing came to mind.
"Whatever, I do know that it's something good for us to go to." Mio believed as she grabs onto Alice's shoulders.
"Okay Alice, it's time we get going to meet some hopefully good people who will take us in unlike this house." Mio glared at the house shaking in fear as they slowly get the now fingerless man in.
"But what about daddy?" Alice looked over at the dead body of her daddy.
"I'm afraid we're gonna have to leave the body here, but don't forget what I said about keeping him in your heart." Mio smiled with reassure.
"But we're not going anywhere without that little guy." Mio pointed at the barking dog.
Two of the zombies turn around upon hearing the barking sound, as mentioned that zombies only have their hearings working like normal and are drawn to any loud sound, and walked over to the dog only for one to be stabbed in the head by Mio and she punched the other one away.
"Come on, doggy. You're going to a new home, I hope." Mio picked up the dog and runs over to Alice.
"Alice, you hold onto the dog and hope on my back. We're going for a big piggyback ride." Mio handed the dog to Alice and turned her back toward the little girl.
"Okay." Alice nodded.
Alice climbs onto Mio's back while holding onto the dog with one arm with the other wrapping around her body tightly. Mio runs toward the wall and jumps high to get herself on top of the wall though had a little trouble with her balance for a few seconds.
"Now we're gonna be going toward the flashing light and we'll be safe for the night." Mio pointed at Cruz who is still flashing the flashlight.
"Whoa, looks like that girl can really pack a punch, but she's gonna have to be careful if she doesn't want any zombies to turn her into one." Kohta surprised.
"We'll figure out that part out, once we all have breakfast tomorrow and leave this place." Cruz said.
"Wait, what?! Leave this place, but why?!" Kohta asked.
"Well, the loud music from the other house is drawing the zombies away from us and the little girls, but there are still some more zombies around the area, and it'll only be a matter of time before more overcrowd this place. So, it's best that we leave this place in the morning." Cruz explained the reason.
"Oh, I can see that. But why in the morning when we could just leave right now?" Kohta asked.
"Because the music is starting to fade now which means in just a few minutes, the music will stop completely, and no more zombies will be walking over here. Better that than more zombies." Cruz pointed out.
"Come on, you two. Get here safe." Cruz pleaded whisperingly.
Mio looks up seeing the flickering still happening which means the person still wants them to come, she looks onward at the fence on the other side of the street knowing she has to make that jump even though it looked a little far away.
"Alright, I'm going to jump to that other fence and make our way to the flashlight person. You better hold onto me tight and the dog too." Mio alerted as she ready herself to jump.
"Okay." Mio nodded as the dog barked once.
Mio bends down and clutches her hands on the ledge of the fence getting herself ready to make that jump, she knows if she messes this up then the two, three if you include the dog, will be done in by the zombies. But she wasn't going to let that happen, she made a promise to Alice's dad to keep Alice safe and she is going to keep it.
Mio made the jump with every strength she can muster in her legs and Alice held onto her tightly as it looks like they were soaring into the air, and Mio realizes that she may have put too much strength into that jump because they ended up going over the fence and bounce off the front hood of the Hum-Vee and onto the ground.
"You two alright?" Mio asked.
"Super-duper…" Alice groaned as the dog groans as well.
"Alright, they made it." Cruz nodded as he goes downstairs to greet the new members of the group.
"Damn, you would think that girl came from a laboratory or something." Kohta commented before going inside to meet them as well.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Bet you weren't expecting to see Mio being stronger than the average girl, but it's not a superpower like Fragment from the Needless anime and she's not as strong as her anime counterpart either. But now she and Alice along with their new dog have joined Cruz's group which is the right choice.
