River Crossing for some Pink Comfort
Cruz is walking in the hallway of the house heading for the door of one of the rooms though stop himself for a bit to the doorknob, but he cleared his mind and open the door going inside the room to where both Alice and Mio are sleeping together on the same bed, even the dog is with them.
"(It's a good thing those two are still alive, it was the right decision to bring them in.)" Cruz thought smiled.
Cruz looks at the window seeing the sky becoming sky-blue as the sun has come up from the horizon several minutes ago.
"Hey Cruz, how are those two doing?" Nene asked walking up to her boyfriend.
"From what I'm looking right now, they appear to have a great sleep through the night." Cruz answered with a smile.
"I'm glad everything was able to work out last night, aside from Saya yelling at you for allowing more people to come in." Nene recalled that yelling moment from last night.
"I know, it felt like being yelled at by a teacher which is ironic since we have a teacher with us right now." Cruz chuckled as he took her hand into his.
"Is everyone up?" Cruz asked.
"They're just about to and Saeko is already cooking up breakfast with Ranko." Nene answered.
"Cool, we'll wake up those two once its done." Cruz nodded before closing the door and walking away.
Cruz and Nene walk downstairs to see Saeko, still wearing the white apron and almost wearing nothing underneath, and Ranko is doing some cooking on her part.
"Morning." Cruz and Nene greeted, getting their attention.
"Hey guys, you'll have to wait a bit longer with breakfast because I may have dropped a few eggs on the floor." Ranko chuckled a little nervously.
"Wow, goof up on your first-time cooking. What a surprise." Nene said sarcastically.
"Shut up! I never done any cooking before, it was always my mom and stuff!" Ranko yelled with her cheeks turning a little red.
"But still, it is nice to do a little cooking every once and a while. Maybe when I really get good with this, I can feed Yukana and she will love me for how amazing of a cook I am!" Ranko giggled perverted and imagined herself feeding Yukana
"Glad to see you're doing this for your best friend." Cruz smiled.
Ranko suddenly flinches from the sight of Cruz smiling right at her causes her heart to just skip a beat as she clutches onto her chest, she couldn't believe that this little emerald hair kid was making her fall for him again and it feels really embarrassing yet good for feel for him at the same time.
"(Damn it, I only have eyes for Yukana, but this kid is… he's making me fall for him!)" Ranko thought groaned.
"Way to sweet talk her, Cruz." Nene teased causing Cruz to blush.
"Anyway, how are the two girls you brought in last night?" Saeko asked, changing the subject to save Cruz from the embarrassment, for now.
"Sleeping peaceful, I'm planning on waking them up once breakfast is ready." Cruz answered.
"And right after we eat breakfast, we'll be leaving this place for good. Am I right?" Ranko asked raising an eyebrow.
"I know this place is ideal and we could live here longer, but… I don't feel like living here as long as those people from across the streets are there." Cruz glared at the windoe.
"The bitches who killed Alice's dad, can't believe they would resort to killing just like that." Nene said, feeling upset over this.
"Is as I told Cruz last night, with the world being a living Hell, nobody will always help everyone and would even commit killing to keep what peaceful life they can muster to themselves." Saeko stated.
"I know, and I'm afraid those people who brought themselves no save from me." Cruz clutched his fists.
"Sounds like you made up your mind about saving those people. To be honest, I was kind of worry that you want to bring them along too." Ranko commented.
"I almost was, but I had to remind myself of what those people would do like how they killed that innocent dad. I just hope he is resting in peace." Cruz said, looking sad.
"Hey, no need for the sad face." Ranko said with a soft flick on the forehead.
"Ranko, you part is about to overcook." Saeko alerted.
"Oh shit!" Ranko hurried over to the frying pans and flip the food off and put them on the plate.
"As I was saying, I'm sure the old man is smiling in Heaven because he entrusted his daughter to that Mio girl to stay by her side at all times. So, sounds to me like he said his peace." Ranko believed.
This made Cruz smile, thinking back last night when Alice's dad died probably believing that he was telling Mio to keep Alice safe and to stick together no matter what, at least that what he hopes those were his final words before dying.
Minutes later, everyone woke up and gathered together downstairs to have some breakfast with the best food they have ever eaten so far since the zombie uprising.
"I gotta say, you two really did well with cooking this stuff, it's amazing!" Yukana complimented.
"Thank you, it just something I learned when I need to cook for myself and my parents aren't around." Saeko explained.
"I just started to learn how to cook, but I think I did pretty well on my first try." Ranko smiled proudly of herself.
"If I was a cooking teacher, I would say you earned a passing grade." Kyoko commented while eating her rice.
"Okay everyone, I know last night was sudden with the new arrivals as some of you heard, but I would like to go over introducing them as they will be part of our group from now on." Cruz gestured over to the two pink-haired girls.
"I think that should be fine. We are now responsible of taking care of them." Rei agreed.
"Sure, as long as they know when to stay clear of the zombies then we should be good." Saya shrugged.
"Thank you." Cruz nodded before turning his head to the girls.
"Okay, you two can go ahead and introduce yourselves." Cruz said.
"I'll go first, my name is Mio Kyojin and I am happy to meet all of you! I would also like to thank you for taking us in when we couldn't find any other place to go, you guys are awesome in my book!" Mio said with a cute smile and a thumbs up.
"Not that Cruz even talked to us about this, but what's done is done." Rei shrugged making Cruz chuckle nervously.
"So, my favorite color is pink, and my hobbies are playing with my teddy bears that I used to have, and I also do some weightlifting with my family too." Mio mentioned her favorite things.
"So, that crazy strength of you breaking down the door, slams the guy's head to the concrete, and jumped over to us was how strong you are?" Kohta asked curiously.
"That's right, my parents told me I was a strong baby when I was born and despite my small appearance even though I'm actually older than I look, I can run three miles while pulling three family vans." Mio explained a bit more about herself.
"Okay, now I'm really feeling like I've seen you somewhere before." Eve narrowed her eyes at the small, muscle girl.
"Well, maybe you knew me as the younger weightlifting champ going by the Pink Titan!" Mio revealed that part.
"Hold on, Pink Titan! I heard of you, you're the girl who can pull off the heaviest lifts that some men would have trouble!" Yui just remembered this girl.
"Oh yeah, weren't you also on the poster for the Super Gel Dero Doro Drinks!" Eve smiled.
"You got it, and I'm surprised how you like that energy drink. I had exhaust myself in order to burn away all of that kilocalorie." Mio rubbed her belly then turns to Alice.
"H-Hello, my name is Alice Maresato and it's very nice to meet you all. My favorite color is also pink, I love to have fun like riding bikes, going out walking with my daddy…" Alice started to look sad again as everyone saw this.
"We're really sorry for the loss of your father. We could try setting up a nice burial for him." Shizuka offered.
"Too soon, you idiot." Yui muttered pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Thank you. Oh, I just last night, I got a dog." Alice picked up the dog as he greets them with a dog.
"Aw, he's so cute!" Yukana complimented.
"Does the dog have a name?" Shizuka asked.
"Well, we know he's male, but we haven't thought of a name yet." Mio said.
"How about Zero, it's a brave mean and the number 0 can also mean unlimited possibilities." Kohta suggested "Zero" as the name.
"Huh, Zero? Do you like being called Zero?" Alice asked.
Zero barks happily and starts licking Alice's face telling her that he likes the name Zero and wishes to be called that from now on.
"Okay, then you are Zero from now on!" Alice giggled.
"Kohta, is a reason who you wanted to call him Zero?" Yui asked.
"I'll tell you about it later." Kohta said.
"Come on, everyone. We need to get going soon while there aren't that many zombies in the way." Cruz said.
"Still can't believe we're leaving so soon. I hope Rika doesn't mind if we leave the place as it is." Shizuka said, looking sad.
"I'm sure she'll understand the situation if we get the chance to meet her." Yukana hoped that the nurse's friend would come meet them and to be reunited with Shizuka again.
"How about we make a promise to come back here again someday, it could serve as an emergency safe haven for us in case we're in the area again." Yukana suggested.
"Sounds like a great idea, Yukana. This house is still in top shape, and who knows maybe this place will still be in one piece when we come back." Ranko agreed to the idea.
"Only if this place isn't full of zombies or idiots trying to keep the place for themselves or some crazy murdering idiots or all three at the same time." Saya stated with a firm look, then eat her eggs.
"Don't be so down in the dump, Saya. We just gotta keep our hopes up." Rei said.
"(It would be nice to come back to this place. To relax and be happy for a time, even if it's a short time with all these zombies around.)" Cruz thought smiled looking around this place.
Even though he knew deep down it would take a really long time for the Emerald Survivor group to return to this place, but he might be in for a surprise to come back sooner than expected.
(After Breakfast)
Ranko, Nene, and Eve packed the last of their stuff into the car with most of the girls have gone through a change of their clothing.
Rei stops wearing the black, thigh-high socks she had on and replaces them with knee pads, in addition to elbow pads. She wears a different green skirt and removes the bow from her shirt. She also adds white fingerless gloves and combat webbing to hang her M1A1 rifle on.
Saya changes into an outfit similar to the school uniform, consisting of a white jacket with the zipper positioned below her breasts and underneath a black tank top, and a green miniskirt.
Saeko's clothing changes to female battle boots with heels, long lace purple stockings, purple gloves, her school uniform top, a skirt that shows the string of her thong and her entire right thigh, a purple lacy bra, and a special belt to hold her black wooden sword.
Shizuka has changed into a simple pair of checkered brown hot pants along with her white shirt, she is also wearing a gold cross necklace and still wears her jet-black high heel shoes.
Kyoko has changed her clothing a little with a pink lone sleeve shirt that shows a V-shape window for her breasts, white pants with a matching belt that has a heart shape buckle, and black sneakers.
Nene is wearing a green shirt with armbraces, a short skirt similar to her school uniform, kneepads, and carrying a quiver of arrows on her back and has the new modern bow.
Yukana is wearing a pink shirt with the left sleeve being short and the right sleeve being long, blue jeans and a little tight on the butt area, brown shoes, and a backpack with lots of things for her crafting along with a big bag full of other things too.
Ranko now wears a simple black hoodie with a pink star on the chest area and a smaller green color star inside the pink star along with a white shirt underneath, dark gray pants with a purple lightning bolt on the right butt cheek, and a pair of black-purple sneakers.
Yui has a long sleeve shirt that is similar to the one she wore under her school uniform, a red hoodie wrapped around her waist, a blue skirt, black legging socks, and brown shoes. She also carries the metal baseball bat on her back striped by a belt.
"Alright, we got everyone ready!" Nene announced.
"Wow, you guys sure aren't going to let the stuff in that house go to waste." Mio impressed.
"We got make sure the trip will last. By the way, how old are you exactly? You mentioned that you're older than you look." Saya asked the question that's been bothering her head for a while.
"I don't mind. Sometimes talking about things can help relieve stress." Mio smiled.
"(Like you and your muscles?)" Saya thought weirded out of this little girl.
"Okay, so my age would be 14. I'm going to be 15 three months from now." Mio revealed her age.
"14, just like Cruz." Saya surprised to meet someone younger than her to have a special talent that makes her strong like grown men.
"I'm sorry we had to leave so suddenly when you just arrived here." Cruz apologized to Alice.
"It's okay, I can tell you are good people, so I don't have to worry too much." Alice smiled as she doesn't mind.
"Glad to hear that. We're gonna be crossing the river in order to make our way to the other side to find our families and friends, save people as much as possible." Cruz explained what they're gonna be doing.
"Be sure to stay with us at all times." Cruz said and Alice nodded as Zero bark as well.
(Later)
The group were able to drive through the horde of zombies in the area ad made their way to the river, Cruz got an idea to use the car to drive through the river.
Turns out, driving the Hum-Vee through the river was a great idea as they are getting through the water without any trouble. Well, maybe the fact that Kohta sang a bloody and murdering version of the "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" song to Alice and Mio.
"Hey, you fat otaku! Don't teach those girls a strange filk song like that! Got it? Don't bastardize Mother Goose!" Saya yelled.
"I rather you don't yell at my gun-loving pig or else you're gonna get a royal ass kicking from yours truly!" Yui shouted angry with a glare.
"Oh, I love to see you try!" Saya glared back.
When Shizuka drives the Hum-Vee up from the water, the bump causes Saeko to fall backward and landed her head onto Cruz's leg making him blush and causes his four girlfriends to pout of Saeko like she was trying to make a move on him.
"That's weird. There's no one… living or dead." Saya found this strange as she looks around the area with Yui and Kohta.
"S-Sorry about that, must've lost my balance." Saeko apologized with her cheeks blushing a little.
"It's okay, just make sure to check in with us if you wanna have a lovely-dovey time with our man." Yukana smiled and kissed Cruz on the cheek.
"Hey guys, Saya said there aren't any living or dead people ahead up so far." Mio informed.
"Sounds good, but we should check it for ourselves." Cruz said.

The group have now gotten to know more about Mio and Alice during a good meal of breakfast then leave the house for everyone to start finding people they know, but they're also going to find something else that could be more deadly and crowded.
