Sadistic Girl Suddenly Get Scared?
Cruz is seen putting away the last bag of their stuff into the amphibious car with all the girls already on board and ready to go.
"Alright, we're set, and we can leave now." Cruz informed as he hops in.
"Time for a road trip!" Setsuna excited, throwing her arm around in the air.
"So, which why should we go if we wanna get to Saya's house alive?" Ranko asked.
"Well, we can't go back to that wired wall because that place has lots of zombies there and we might've attracted a lot more than intended back then too." Saeko mentioned.
"Let's try thinking about the car, it was made to travel on both land and water, meaning we'll be able to cross the river to make our way to the other side and get to Saya's house." Cruz pointed out.
"An excellent idea, babe! I'm starting to love that big brain of yours more and more!" Ranko smiled, pulling Cruz in for a hug for some kisses on his forehead making him blush.
Saeko looks on how Ranko has suddenly shown loving affection toward the short green hair boy when she used to keep her distance because of how she only loves Cruz, but it looks like the Emerald Savior has managed to win her heart just like how he did with Yukana along with Rei and Eve.
But this also makes Saeko feel jealous of Cruz bonding with the girls, yet he hasn't come to her yet.
"I'm worried about running into the zombies." Kuchinashi said in her sketchbook.
"It's not like the zombies can even swim. We should be fine once we get to the water." Saeko believed.
"She's right, I don't think the zombies should be able to handle getting down a slope either." Cruz added making Kuchinashi feel safer now.
"Okay, are you guys ready for this crazy ride because we're gonna go at full speed once we get to the water." Ranko smirked as she turns on the engine.
"Man, if we're going to the river then maybe we should put on some swimsuits in case we get wet." Setsuna pointed out.
"I don't think we have time to worry about swimsuits at a time like this." Saeko said.
"Alright, here we go!" Ranko started driving the car away from those and onto the road.
"(Hang on, everyone. We're coming.)" Cruz thought determined to keep his promise to the Emerald group.
There are some zombies on the road though they don't waste their time as their focus is for the river, and as expected the zombies are being drawn to the sound of the engine noise from the amphibious not that they were expecting any difference.
"Hang tight, we're about to go down the slope!" Ranko smirked.
"Just when I thought we were going to go down easy." Setsuna gulped.
Ranko drove the car up from the edge and they fall onto the ground at the bottom of the slope, the zombies follow them, and they start falling and rolling down the slope uncontrollably.
"Wow, they can't go down the slope just like Cruz said!" Setsuna surprised.
"It would appear so, but their recovery is flawless." Saeko said, seeing the zombies are already getting back up.
"You can make them jump off a ten-story building, and those fuckers would still get back up unless their heads are splatter on the street." Ranko stated.
"It won't matter now anyway, we're in an amphibious car which means the zombies shouldn't be able to come to the water." Cruz said.
"Well said, now time for a boat trip!" Ranko pushed down the gas petal and drove the car onto the river.
The impact of the car splashing onto the water causes a big splash around them and the car is driving on the water just like a boat.
"Fuck yeah, we made it!" Ranko cheered.
"Yes, we should beEEEEEE?!" Cruz gasped with his face turning red.
The reason for Cruz's reason is because Saeko and Setsuna have gotten wet when the water splashed onto them, but for some reason Kuchinashi is not wet like the two of them. The wetness on the girls have also made their clothes see-through as he can see their bras and barely their skin under their clothes.
"Hey, you didn't tell us that we were gonna have to get wet!" Setsuna complained.
"Oops, sorry about that." Ranko giggled.
"Hey Cruz, you're staring." Ranko pointed out with a teasing grin.
"Oh, sorry about that! L-Let just go over to that little island!" Cruz pointed at the little island in the middle of the river.
Ranko drives the amphibious car to the little island while the others are keeping their eyes out for the zombies as they are close to the river, but none of them are stepping into the water.
"I was right, it would seem the zombies able to come into the water." Cruz said, looking over at the zombies that are leaving the area.
"I never thought we would be able to come here." Saeko chuckled.
"Yeah, I was always told by my parents to never come here because of how the river is too deep and the currents are too strong to swim through." Setsuna remembered those days.
"I remember too, but I also remember a story about a boy and a girl who were in first-year high school students crossing a river like this one and made it all the way to the end." Kuchinashi mentioned a story she heard from some other students at another school.
"Really? I don't think I heard that." Setsuna surprised before letting out a sneeze.
"Oh shit, I'm feeling cold all of a sudden!" Setsuna shivered.
"Yeah, being wet is making us feel the cold right now and my ass is cold." Saeko said as she let out a sneeze as well.
"Would you rather try driving through the road and onto a closed bridge?" Ranko asked sarcastically.
"Here, you should wear these tank-top shirts we got from that store. At least until the other clothes dry off." Cruz hand them tank-top shirts.
"Thank you, but, huh, would you mind not staring at us so much?" Saeko asked, blushing of embarrassment as she looks away.
"I'm sorry! I'm not trying to do anything to you by force, I swear!" Cruz promised as he looks away.
Cruz, Ranko, and Kuchinashi got out of the car to give Saeko and Setsuna some privacy to put on the tank-tops while looking up at the other side of the river.
"We're done." Saeko announced.
The three turn around seeing Saeko in a black tank-top and even tied her hair into a ponytail style while Setsuna is wearing a red tank-top.
"Huh, the color isn't really my style, but I can tolerate it." Setsuna commented.
"What's wrong, Cruz? Don't you think what we wear?" Saeko asked teasing.
"Yeah, you were the one who gave them those tops." Ranko joined in on the teasing.
"No, no, they do look pretty on you both!" Cruz tried to stay calm but is having a little hard time.
"God, you're such a sucker. Can't you tell when we're just fucking with you." Saeko giggled.
"(I really hope you mean joking.)" Cruz thought exclaimed.
"You know, I've actually been curious about something for a while now, but I never thought of it until now." Ranko said.
"What's that, Ranko?" Kuchinhasi asked.
"Well, I wanted to know if Saeko ever had a boyfriend before." Ranko revealed her curious question.
"Excuse me?" Saeko surprised a bit.
"Ranko, I don't think it's polite to talk about other's affair." Cruz scolded a bit.
"I just want to know if she ever loved someone in her life." Ranko shrugged.
Saeko went silent for a moment as she looks up at the sky.
"Of course, I have… I almost thought it was love." Saeko answered with a sad expression.
Cruz can see that Saeko must've really loved someone in the past and wanted to be with this person, but her eyes says that she couldn't move her move on this person for some reason.
Kuchinashi sniffs the air and taps on Ranko's arm to get her attention.
"This area is free of zombies from what my nose can tell me, we should take this chance to get a move on while the way is clear." Kuchinashi informed through her sketchbook.
"Hold on, did you actually try smelling the zombies?" Ranko asked, weirded out of this girl.
"You'd be surprised of how strong Kuchinashi's nose is. She can sniff things from really far away, like 2 whole miles away!" Setsuna bragged, making Kuchinashi blush.
"Wow, you have a great sense of smell. That'll definitely come in handy if there are more zombies ahead." Cruz amazed.
"Thank you, but there are still more zombies ahead, so we should be careful." Kuchinashi advised.
"Right, let's get going." Cruz nodded.
Everyone jumps into the car and drove onto land again on the other side and as Kuchinashi warned, there are more zombies around with some being close.
"Now I see more, looks like we're getting more popular by the minute." Saeko said.
"I prefer the normal fans that woo over Yukana and I scare them off with my glare." Ranko said.
"Don't worry, we'll lose them after turning the next corner. Go right, here!" Cruz assured and pointed the way.
Ranko turn to the right while smacked a few zombies away during the turn, and the place they are going to has a large water fountain.
"A park?" The girls confused of why Cruz has made them go to a park.
"Trust me, it'll make sense once Ranko drives the car into the water fountain." Cruz promised.
"Wait, I'm gonna what now?" Ranko gasped.
But it was too late to complain or back down from this as Ranko just kept going until the amphibious car is now in the water fountain, and the water splashing on some of the girls again, such as Saeko and Setsuna.
"Fucking devil! Do you actually enjoy getting us wet?" Saeko asked complaining.
"Just wait for a moment, this will keep the zombies busy." Cruz pulled out a yellow tape from the backpack.
The girls were confused as Cruz pulls out the tape and put it onto the steer and on the petal part that makes the car go, and now the boat-car is running around in the water fountain on its own and luring the zombies to the water fountain.
"Impressive, Cruz." Saeko complimented on this plan.
"Yeah, use the noise of the car to draw in the zombies." Ranko nodded.
"We just need to take the east exit and we'll be right behind Saya's house, no problem." Cruz pointed the way.
"To be honest though, I rather not use guns because the noise might overlap the engine." Cruz said as he looks at his rifle gun.
"That means we're gonna have to fight them hand-to-hand." Ranko figured.
"But wouldn't that be dangerous? We're not immune like Cruz." Setsuna pointed out.
"Don't worry." Saeko smiled as she ready herself with her wooden bokken.
"They'll be dead before that could even happen!" Saeko jumped high and beat down two zombies as she lands.
Saeko goes in beating two zombies away.
"Hold it." Saeko held her bokken at the neck of a zombie and pause for a moment before she speaks.
"God, you reek. I know you're dead, but is a little hygiene too much to ask?" Saeko insulted the zombie before smacking it in the air and falls into the water fountain which got run over by the boat-car.
Cruz, Ranko, Setsuna, and Kuchinashi witness all of that and are utterly shocked of how forceful and savage Saeko is being right now.
"Now then… time to stop holding back." Saeko smirked and goes in fast and smacked the zombies brutally hard with a sadistic smile.
"Uh, has she always been like this?" Setsuna asked, feeling a bit scared while Kuchinashi hides behind her.
"It's like she let out her inner monster." Kuchinashi commented.
"I've only seen her fight from a distance, but now seeing her this close is something else." Cruz gulped.
"Yeah, that girl is like a one-woman army maniac!" Ranko smirked with a little sweat on her face.
Saeko continues putting the zombies down with her kendo might while enjoying the urge of dominating the battlefield.
However, Saeko suddenly stop when she spotted two other zombies that are children and just looking at them causes her to gasp with her face turning into something that shows she's scared of something.
"Take this!" Ranko smacked down one zombie with a pole and seven knives tapped at the top.
"Boom!" Setuna kicked one zombie away.
"Hey, you said those shoes are heavy, right?" Ranko asked.
"Yeah, they each weight about 20 pounds." Setsuna answered.
"Hey! Something wrong with Saeko!" Cruz alerted as Kuchinashi smacked down one zombie with a frying pan.
"Saeko! What's wrong? Why did you stop?" Cruz called out.
But Saeko didn't answer as she continues staring at the zombie children in horror, whatever is going on through her mind is preventing her from continue on with the slaughtering on the zombies.
"Damn it, bitch! You're going to get killed if you don't fight now!" Ranko yelled.
"Setsuna, stab them with this!" Cruz tossed his teaser-knife toward the frozen Saeko.
"Got it!" Setsuna ran at her top speed, grab the knife along the way, then stab one zombie kid in the way zapping it with strong electricity and kicked the other zombie kid away.
"Saeko, what the fuck just happened? You were beating them down like it was nothing!" Setsuna asked, but Saeko didn't answer as she is still horrified for some reason.
"Come on, we have to run now!" Cruz grabbed Saeko's hand dragging her away from the park with the others.
They ran for a long while until Ranko suggested they hide out at the shrine to rest up for a while, and to get some answer.
"Okay, you crazy sword swinging bitch!" Ranko angered grabbing Saeko by the shirt.
"Do you wanna tell me what the fuck was all that about back there? You were smacking down zombies left and right until you suddenly stop at a bunch of kid size zombies! Don't tell me you gone soft on us!" Ranko demanded to know.
Saeko didn't answer as she is in her little world of feeling the fear in her mind and thinking of certain things.
"Ranko, that's enough. Just put her down." Cruz said.
"But she"
"Please, I think Saeko just needs some time to get herself together." Cruz pleaded with his fifth girlfriend as he grabs onto Ranko's hand.
"Fine, but we are not going anywhere until he tells us what happened." Ranko released Saeko from her grip.
Cruz and Kuchinashi set up an indoor fire, Ranko and Saeko are sitting across from each other about ten feet with the former glaring at the purple hair girl who has gone silent for a while.
"Whoa, this is a real sword! But why would it be in a shrine?" Setsuna wondered as she looks at the sword.
"Here, your clothes have dried off." Cruz handed Saeko clothes then same Setsuna hers.
"Let me know when you're done." Cruz said as he moves behind the curtains they set up.
Saeko gathered her thoughts again as she looks down at her clothes and felt her hands that were touched by Cruz's hands even though it was only for a short time and starts changing into her normal clothes.
Cruz can tell that something is up with Saeko. The way she froze back there when those two zombie kids and she couldn't bring herself to strike them down, that would mean something happened in her past that causes her to pause like she's being haunted by the ghosts of her past.
"(Could it be that sadistic side we saw earlier?)" Cruz thought recalled that moment.
"We're done." Saeko called out.
Cruz comes back to the group and sits down next to Ranko with Setuna and Kuchinashi next to them while they all look at Saeko.
"Alright, now start talking and I better like what I hear." Ranko demanded with a fierce look in her eyes.
Saeko look down for a bit and look back up at the group deciding on telling them the truth.

Cruz and the four girls were on their way to reunite with their group and introduce them to Setsuna and Kuchinashi, but something strange happened when Saeko suddenly froze up and now she's about to tell them the truth about herself and why she froze up like that.
