Arrival of Teacher and Emerald Sister

"Well, that could've gone better." Cruz sighed.

He, Kohta, Saya, and Eve just got back from speaking with some survivors staying at the mansion who are refusing to accept the current situation, even denying the freaking fact that zombies are real, but those people refuse to believe them thinking those people are just lost to insanity.

Saya tried talking to the people when the woman of that small group doesn't believe her father is a good leader.

"I think it went well, Saya was great with keeping her cool." Kohta said.

"Except that woman is a Nazi. I talked to her only because she was talking bad about my father, but it was pointless!" Saya said angrily.

"How could they not see the real danger right before their eyes, the zombies and all the destruction that has happened here?" Cruz confused, wondering if they're blocking reality from their minds.

"That crowd doesn't see anything." Saya mocked those idiots.

"I don't know, I can kind of understand how they feel." Kohta said.

"Are you trying to pick a fight with me, ya fat ass?" Saya yelled angrily, but Eve and Cruz held her back.

"Easy Saya, I'm sure Kohta is just saying he understands why those people are refusing to accept the zombies and such!" Eve pointed out, hoping she's right which is a rare thing that happens in her life.

"Yeah, exactly as she said." Kohta nodded rapidly, scared of Saya's anger for a second there.

"You know, people have a tendency to ignore what they don't want to see. No one wants to be denied. That's why most of the people wouldn't do anything even though they know something is happening, it's just human nature." Kohta explained.

"You can't deny the fact that there's still shift happening in this defacto survivor colony." Saya said about the here and now.

"Well, yeah, but I… I think that in that kind of situation, most people… their first reaction is to deny it. Ignore it. They don't face reality because it's too much for them to handle." Kohta stated.

"Wow, that's pretty deep. So, you're saying those people don't want to admit everything they once knew is changing?" Eve asked.

"That's right, if they don't admit to the change, then they don't have to admit their mistakes or idiocy." Saya pointed out.

"That's true, if we ignore those things like they never happen then we'll never truly grow as a person and drive to be better so that we don't repeat them. That's how it's always been." Cruz said looking up at the cloudy sky.

"Learning mistakes and humiliations, like how we get through high school!" Eve guessed.

"Wow, how "Breakfast Club" of you guys." Saya commented.

"Even so, it's only up to them to accept the change. We can try help guide them, but the rest is all on them." Cruz said.

"Wow, that sounded even deeper than Kohta! Don't you guys think?" Eve asked smiling.

"Yeah, there's no doubt about it." Saya nodded.

"He definitely has the qualities of a great leader for the Emerald Group!" Kohta smiled.

"Come on, guys. No need to say it out loud." Cruz chuckled nervously.

"Excuse me, do you mind a moment of your time?" A girl walked over to the four getting their attention.

"Aren't you with those colony assholes, that woman better not be sending a message to piss me off because I am already." Saya glared at the girl.

"No, no, it's nothing like that. I pretty much don't care about those people; I have my own reason of surviving and only join those who seems to have the better chance to last longer." The girl stated.

"Sounds like you're devious." Eve commented.

"That just how I sound on the outside, I'm also a fortune-teller by trade. My name is Kaoru Enma, by the way." Kaoru revealed her name.

Kaoru is a 16-year-old girl with long purple hair that reaches down a little over the middle of her back and pinkish violet eyes. She wears a high school uniform consisting of a white with a black handkerchief, black skirt, long brown leggings, and black high heel shoes. Breasts sizes: H-cup.

"A fortune-teller? Never met one of those before!" Eve surprised.

"Are you here to read our fortunes?" Kohta asked.

"I actually did a fortune upon you guys and the rest of your group when you came into that tent and tried talking to those idiots." Kaoru mentioned.

"Really, you did one for each of us?" Cruz asked.

"Oh no, I did everyone in one fortune-telling, and it looks like you guys are about to have two encounters that involves your pasts, and they're both coming here today." Kaoru revealed as she held the cards that show her the future.

"Two encounters from our past, coming here today?" Kohta gulped, feeling a bit nervous.

Cruz doesn't know why, but he is getting a strange feeling those encounters might be people he knew from the past and that strangely makes him think one of them could be his big sister.

"(Aruka, could we really be meeting here today?)" Cruz thought wondered.

(With Saeko and Souichiro)

Souichiro asked Saeko, now wearing a blue kimono, to come with him into an old Japanese style home where he wants to show her something, they sat down together, and he handed her a sword while the rain is pouring down from outside.

"What do you think it is?" Souichiro asked.

"I've heard the rumor that Master Busujima believes his daughter is the sword user and that the daughter is every bit as skilled as Sanako Chiba. Pure and graceful, that daughter must be you." Souichiro explained what he heard before.

"Go ahead, touch it. You will not stain its power." Souichiro granted Saeko the honor of holding the sword unsheathe.

Saeko nods knowing this man must see potential in her to touch an important sword, she pulls the blade from the sheath and is shocked of seeing the blade with her own eyes.

"What is this?" Saeko asked.

She fully pulls out the sword feeling the full look and can tell from her studies of swordsmanship from her father that this sword is no ordinary katana.

"This is an extremely rare sword…" Saeko said.

"Do you see it?" Souichiro asked.

"It's only slightly curved… This is a double-edged Kissaki-Moroha." Saeko figured out what this sword is, and she sheaths it back in.

"Shoju Kanemasa… I think this is the Murata Sword." Saeko realized.

"Impressive, I was right." Souichiro impressed that Saeko knew what that sword is from just one glance.

"It was the Meji Era, Major General Murata, known for the Murata rifle, had it forged at Tokyo Artillery Factory. Supposedly, he slashed a pig's skill in two, but it didn't leave a single scratch on the blade." Souichiro explained the history of the sword and its former wielder.

"It was the width of the blade." Saeko said as she places the sword gently on the floor.

"Now it is yours." Souichiro declared. This caught Saeko off guard but remain in her composure.

"Sir, I must say with all due respect, I can't accept it without a legitimate reason." Saeko stated. Wondering why this man wants to pass on this sword to her.

"I've once received training from Master Busujima. Will you accept it as the token of my gratitude for that?" Souichiro smiled.

"Then I think it'd be best for you to give it to my father yourself." Saeko refused to take the sword again.

Suddenly the Takagi man burst out laughing after hearing that Saeko won't accept the sword which is something she did not expect to see from such a serious man like him. Does Saya even know that her father can laugh like that?

"I would expect nothing less from the Master's daughter. You're strikingly honest." Souichiro smiled.

"Please forgive me, I meant no disrespect to you, Master." Saeko felt a little embarrassed.

"I'm sure you know this, but my daughter still has much to learn." Souichiro said.

"Maybe so, sir. And it is true that I did save her life at one point, but she was my salvation in some ways almost like how Cruz is to me." Saeko smiled.

"If you really want to ensure that your daughter's protected at all costs, why would you simply keep her by your side? The daughter of the Takagi family has the highest respect for her parents and loves them very deeply." Saeko explained.

"They say that parents and children are alike…" Souichiro commented.

"Or instead of me, perhaps you could give it to Cruz. He's quite deserving." Saeko nominated Cruz to be Saya's protector given that she is also part of his harem.

"When I first met Cruz, he was but a nervous little boy who was scared of my eyes and his body was shaken. Yet I can sense an inner bravery to never walk away from something that is considered important to him." Souichiro remembered the first time he met Cruz.

"He has grown so much since then, becoming a fine man to care for my daughter." Souichiro smiled proudly.

"Bet it was difficult of you to accept Saya in a harem relationship with Cruz." Saeko chuckled.

"As long as he doesn't hurt my daughter, then I won't send his soul to Hell." Souichiro stated, Saeko giggles from this.

"But… there is also much to be concern about the truth of his existence." Souichiro said.

"You mean how he was able to heal from the zombie bite?" Saeko asked, remembering that.

(Flashback)

"Yes, this morning was something I will never forget no matter how many times I try." Souichiro said.

Cruz told everyone about how got bitten by a zombie when saving Ranko back at that street and the wound heals on its own, everyone was shocked, and he would even show them proof.

The scene changes to two of Souichiro's men bringing in one zombie holding it back as Cruz stood in front of it, Cruz have Souichiro a nod and he does the same to his men letting the zombie go and let it bite on his shoulder, and Cruz killed it with the teaser-knife to push it off and shocked it.

Everyone would think Cruz would be crazy if both Saeko and Ranko hadn't confirm this truth to them when they were with him at the time. And moments later, they see his shoulder healing good as new with a new scar and Cruz did not turn into a zombie.

(Flashback End)

"I was scared shit when he let that zombie bite him, but now we know he has the power to resist the undead. A living miracle." Saeko said.

"Which means that he has a bigger purpose for the world than any of us could ever imagine, he is meant to help this world in its darkest times such as this. A destiny he was born with." Souichiro believed strongly.

"Then we will do what we can to protect him, same as he would do his best to protect us." Saeko determined.

(With Cruz)

Cruz is sitting on the bed looking out the window having some deep thoughts about everything that has been going on, even this morning to show his healing ability to resist the zombie virus.

"Hey Cruz, heard you'd be in here." Rei entered the room.

"Just thinking about what's going on around me with being the leader and somehow being a living cure to the zombie virus. To be honest, it's a lot to take in." Cruz said, looking a little down.

"But even when things look tough, you always found a way to find the answers and help us to get out of the toughest situation along with the strong leadership you have within." Rei believed, leaning onto him.

"I don't know, I never once thought of myself as a leader. I just want to help you guys survive and make the most of it." Cruz pointed out.

"And yet you showed more than you're letting on." Saeko chuckled as she enters the room.

"Saeko, how was the talk with Mr. Takagi?" Cruz asked.

"Good, he gave me a great sword to help us fight against the zombies." Saeko showed her sword.

"Cool." Cruz impressed.

"You know we all rely on you, that strong head and strong hearts are what makes you fight against this undead world. Even showing you're capable of being a fighter." Saeko said.

"Really? I thought you, Rei, Kohta, and Ranko being the fighters. Saya is the smart one, like me, Shizuka is the nurse, Setsuna is our speedster scout, Kuchinashi is also our scout with her nose, Mio is our muscles, and Alice…" Cruz paused for a second.

"Alice is what?" Rei asked.

"Alice is Alice. For now, until she gets older." Cruz said.

"But still, it's gonna be very hard for me to do the leading." Cruz worried.

"We know you got this, and you know you can always count on us to help you if you ever feel down on some things." Rei promised.

"That's right, it's our job as your girlfriends to make sure you don't pity yourself." Saeko said and they kissed Cruz on the cheeks at the same time.

"Aw, you girls." Cruz smiled blushing.

(Down the Street)

Three men of the Takagi mansion are standing guard at the guard point of the street being on the lookout for any zombies, and then they spotted a bus coming their way.

"More survivors?" One man surprised.

"Please, please help us! We came from the school, but there's been no place we could go! You got to help us!" A girl named Yuuki begged.

The man got a little look at Yuuki's expose cleavage of top part of her breasts, feeling a little pervert of the pretty girl.

"You can't just turn us away!" Yuuki begged again.

"A-All right, f-fine. J-Just give me a minute. Let me move the barricade right now." The man said, getting right on that.

At the driver seat, Koichi Shido smiles evilly seeing that he and his followers are going to lead into a safe haven. A safe haven that is going to become the start of his own future empire.

"My brother, I'm gonna find him where we're going." The hooded girl said.

"What makes you say that?" A muscle-like tanned girl next to the hooded girl asked.

"Just a strong feeling. A hunch, you could say." The hooded girl answered showing her blue eyes, and a bang of her green hair.

(Tagaki Mansion)

"You're going to find the family members of your group?" Souichiro asked what Cruz just told them.

"Yes, sir. Most of us don't have families right now. Rei's father is a cop at the East Police Department, and hopefully her mother should be at her house too. Then there is my sister who is still out there." Cruz explained.

"And? What do you plan on after finding them?" Souichiro asked.

"The day after tomorrow, we're going to leave here early in the morning. It is far too dangerous for any of us to remain in the metro areas." Souichiro informed.

"I know, which is why I already thought of the next course of action." Cruz clutched onto his shoulder.

"You wish to know about your immunity." Souichiro guessed.

"That's right, I don't know why. But I get this strong feeling in my head that this ability isn't exactly natural, like I didn't always have this though I don't know why. The answers are out there somewhere." Cruz looked out the window behind Souichiro.

"I need to know why I have this ability and what its true purpose is, maybe my blood could be used for a cure or something else. I'll find the answers, and that will be what helps our world." Cruz believed with strong determined in his eyes.

Souichiro is impressed with this boy showing his strong spirit yet again to him.

"Very well, go find those answers and keep my daughter safe." Souichiro smiled.

Cruz is now seen at the front area of the mansion getting the stuff he has on himself ready for the travel with his group, and they all gather together with their gears and such.

"So, we're all ready?" Cruz asked.

"Yeah, just done packing and shit. But Kyoko said she's gonna stay behind, the crazy adventuring just isn't her thing." Yui informed.

"That's fine, it's her choice in the end and we should respect that." Cruz said.

However, when Rei turns to the front door, her eyes widen of shock then her expressions turn to anger as she suddenly ran with her bayonet gun.

"Rei! Where are you going?" Cruz asked, confused until he saw the front door to see who is coming to the mansion right now.

"Shido!" Cruz muttered the name.
