BGM: Field - Day (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Weiss sat down at the edge of Death Mountain, getting a good look at the Woodland Tower in front of her. She pulled out her Sheikah Slate to get a better look at what she was going to put up with.

"That's the Military Training Camp…" She mumbled, seeing a bunch of monsters either dancing, punching each other for fun, skipping along in the air in the Wizzrobe's case, or just taking naps.

She flashbacked a century ago, where she watched the Hyrulian Army train in the camp, rain pouring down on them as they continued to train despite the weather conditions. She seemed a bit concerned for them, including Ruby, but they also in awe over how dedicated they were to serving the king.

She shook her head once she snapped back to reality. "I understand wanting to serve the King and be absolutely dedicated… but in the rain and mud? I'd rather train with my magic."

She looked at her dragon tattoo, feeling more mentally better than she did earlier. Of course, eating at the East Akkala Stable also helped.

She activated the power, where red hot glowing draconic fire conjured in her hand. She didn't know why, but she had this feeling her eyes looked different. She conjured up some ice to make an ice mirror just to see if it was true.

"Whoa… dragon eyes?!" She said in surprise before chuckling. "Why am I surprisingly chill with this?" She wondered before deactivating the power, her eyes turning back to normal.

She dismissed the ice. "Okay… so I don't feel my magic draining when I simply activate it, but when I use it, I feel mentally exhausted. I wonder if I try to hold back, it'll cost less of my magic power? …Would be fun to try out one of these days."

She got up, proceeding to slide down the rock wall until she hopped off, landing on a rock as she snuck into the fortress. A Bokoblin archer yelped in surprise, thinking he saw the Mage Knight, but she hid behind a metal box. The archer scratched his head before shrugging it off.

Weiss peeked her head out and pulled out her crossbow, aiming and firing an arrow at the archer's head, causing it to keel over and fall off its post. Weiss then turned to the Moblin that paid no attention to the Bokoblin.

"Hmm…" Weiss rubbed her chin as she remembered what she did to that Gleeok. She pulled out her Gold Gauntlets. "I can't believe these things allow me to lift heavy things… I'm not even that strong physically." …Then again, with the amount of climbing and sword swinging I do…

Weiss picked up the metal box once she equipped them and then threw it at the Moblin, smacking it down and making it fall off the bridge and into the swamp below.

"Booyah!" Weiss fist pumped as she walked over, picking up some Rupees, an apple and a bass that was in the now shattered metal box as she picked up another one and placed it in the swamp as she hopped down and hopped over to the tower.

As for the Moblin, he tried to get out of the swamp as he waved over to the Ice Wizzrobe for assistance. The Wizzrobe skipped over and lowered his staff to help him out… however, the Moblin touched the staff and immediately turned into ice.

The Wizzrobe let out a mischievous giggle and skipped away while the frozen Moblin sank into the swamp.

As Weiss climbed the tower, thunder started to boom across the land. "Uh oh…" She mumbled as she continued to climb until she got to the top… and saw what remained of a Bokoblin skull hut at the top. "Oh!"

She shrugged as it was the perfect spot to lay low for the thunderstorm that was rolling in. She activated the tower and then looked around as it started to rain heavily. "Maybe it's not so bad… I could make my way over to the stable over there and-"

Massive lightning bolts struck the area around her, eliminating all the monsters that were not bothering to protect themselves in the rain.

"...I'll just stay here." Weiss said as she sat down comfortably. "...Wait, I have the Rubber Armor." She said to herself, but then thought about it, picturing herself getting hit by lightning as only her head and limbs would be totally fried minus her protected torso.

Weiss grimaced. "Not worth melting my brain over." She said as she pulled out Whitley's notes. She had meant to look into them at Death Mountain, but due to the hot air, she didn't want to risk accidentally burning up her brother's research notes.

"To those who are reading this, I have either published my research notes to the public, or you probably found this long after I perished and didn't have time to publish it. I hope it's the former. Anyway, the Sheikah Technology is quite advanced if I say so myself. From what I was able to uncover, this technology was used ten thousand years ago.

But not only that, but it would seem as if the Sheikah aren't the only ones who made this technology. Upon further research, the Sheikah were allies to a race known as the now extinct Zonai, who were once a powerful race with their own lost magic. I was only able to uncover three names: King Rauru and Queen Sonia, two powerful Zonai but were also beloved. There was also a wise mage: Mineru.

With the power of the Zonai and the Sheikah, they were able to create the Guardians… although the Sheikah are the only ones taking credit for this in the modern day. I'm not sure if there was a falling out or the Zonai were just lost to time. Regardless, this is an interesting breakthrough."

As Weiss was reading, a Yiga Clan member appeared on the top of the tower, specifically the destroyed skull. "Hahaha… look at her reading. She won't even know what'll hit her!" He smirked, readying his sickle…

…Aaaand got struck by lightning.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

"Hmmm?" Weiss looked around before shrugging, going back to reading while the now limp Yiga fell into the swamp below.

"During this Zonai period and their advanced technology, they were also friends with four sages of Hyrule. Ozpin, the wise owl of the Rito tribe. Leonardo, the Goron knight from Goron Village. Theodore, the brave Zora from Zora's Fountain. And Glynda Goodwitch, the skillful Gerudo Queen of Gerudo Desert. These four sages also helped protect Hyrule if need be, and it seems as if they were put to the test during this Imprisoning War. With the help of the Guardians, Ganondorf was defeated and sealed up… but his malice lived on as Calamity Ganon.

There was a mention that Ganondorf had an apprentice, but I could not find such information on who this was. Perhaps Ganon thought this apprentice was useless and destroyed them? Knowing what we know… he probably did so without a second thought.

Regardless, I feel like we're making steady progress learning about the Guardians and what they can do. So far, we've seen they can fire lasers… but I wonder if we could uncover more features from them? Only time may tell."

Weiss smiled. "Fascinating…" She said as she looked up, seeing that it stopped raining. "Ah, cool."

She bookmarked where she stopped and put the notes back into the bag, then she turned around, wondering if there was something on top of the skull. She proceeded to climb around and climbed up, finding a Royal Broadsword embedded into it.

"Ooooh! Looks nice." She said, pulling it out and putting it away. She then turned toward the Lost Woods, rubbing her chin in thought.

"...Nah. Later." She turned around and hopped off, gliding her way down and seeing some sizzled remains of monsters, including a Yiga. "Ooof… hate to be that guy." She said as she landed gently on the ground and made her way to the Stable, and her Sheikah Slate went off, letting her know there was a shrine nearby.

BGM: Stable (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Weiss walked toward the stable, where she saw Yang walk out and breathing out a sigh. "Smell that rainy air!" She said with a smile. She sensed somebody near as she glanced over and saw Weiss. "Hey!"

"Hey." Weiss greeted.

"You need something?"

"Nah, just passing through. Though I'm a bit curious about something."

"What is it?"

"What exactly is the Branwen Tribe?"

Yang frowned. "You never heard of it?"

"Well… I guess you could say I was… living under a rock?" For a century, give or take…

"Well… if you really want to know… the Branwen Tribe were a group of bandits. They were the most feared tribe in all of Hyrule… not even the Yiga clan wanted to mess with them. The chieftain of the tribe was Raven Branwen, the strongest swordswoman of all of the land. And… she was my mother."

"Mother?! Wait, did you disown your mother's ways or-"

"No. I was raised in that tribe. My mother found a guy by the name of Taiyang Xiao Long and they both fell in love. To her surprise, he didn't think less of her when she revealed she was the head honcho of the Branwen Tribe. In fact, he thought it was pretty cool and wormed his way into the tribe."

Weiss snickered. "I imagine no one got along with him?"

"Surprisingly, everyone was chill with him… except for her brother Qrow. He thought Tai was too naive to be with mom, so they often got into fights… usually mom broke them up. Though, at some point, they buried the hatchet and became good friends. I believe it was when he realized dad treated mom right and thought he wasn't so bad… or at least, that's what Vernal told me." She chuckled.

"And then you were born soon after?"

"Yeah. The tribe was my family. I had my parents, my uncle Qrow… I even saw Vernal as a big sister even though she wasn't related at all… it was pretty great to be there."

"So… you were in the feared Branwen Tribe. What was it like?"

"Honestly… we were only feared because we had no other choice. After the Great Calamity a hundred years ago, tribes had to… get a little rough just to get by, Branwen especially. Raven was no exception and slaughtered anyone in her way just for survival. Because of the Great Calamity, Hyrule went from a prosperous land to… well… the "strong live and the weak die". Mom hated that mindset, but there was no other way. She had to threaten and steal just to get by… the whole tribe did, that included me too."

Yang closed her eyes. "I didn't mean to threaten and slaughter folk… it's just that Hyrule is just a massive jungle now. Survival of the fittest and all…"

"Just know that I don't think of you any less after hearing this. I would probably be in the same boat if I was in a bandit tribe." Weiss said. "I don't blame you… Hyrule's not what it used to be."

"What I wouldn't give to live in the more prosperous era… oh well, nothing we can do about that now. Just gotta deal with the cards that we're given."

"Yeah." Weiss agreed. "So… what happened? Beedle was being a bit vague about some monster. All he said was the Platinum Lynel destroying everything."

She saw Yang shaking. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't-"

"N-no… you're… you're good." Yang slowed her breathing. "It was about a year ago… we had just got back from a small odd job and we were just about to have dinner when we heard a roar. Next thing we know, that damned Silver Lion came out of nowhere and attacked the tribe. He slaughtered everyone… not even the young ones could survive. The ones who were able to put up a decent fight were me, dad, mom, Qrow and Vernal."

Yang shuddered. "Things were going well, but it pulled a fast one on us, starting to turn the tide and began picking us off one by one before we could blink."

BGM: Growing Sorrow (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)

"The last thing I remember was mom telling me to run while I still could. I… ran as fast as I could until I passed out from the wounds it gave me. When I came to, Beedle was nursing me back to health. He found me and took me into a stable to take care of me."

She closed her eyes. "Sometimes… sometimes I go back to the site… and… pay my respects… dammit… I wish I was stronger so I could have fought by her side… then maybe she could've…"

She sunk, a few tears swelling her eyes.

"Your mother's sword… what was it?"

"It was red… a red katana, if you will. It was called Omen-"

Weiss nodded, reaching into her bag. "I believe I may have something of interest." She said, pulling out Omen.

Yang's eyes widened. "Wh-where did you get that?"

"Roman gave it to me. He does have high prices to the point where it feels like I'm getting ripped off, but… I hadn't used it. I wanted to make sure to give this to you the next time I saw you."

"...How much did you owe him?"

"Five hundred Rupees."

"It's more than that… more to me…" Yang said softly, holding Omen close before putting it away.

"Do you… need anything? Like… I dunno, a hug?"

"I… just want to be left alone." Yang mumbled as she walked off.

"Oh… okay." Weiss frowned.

"You can't really blame her." A voice said as Weiss turned to see Beedle approaching. "Girl's had it rough for a while."

"Yeah… I just wish there was something I could do."

"Just being there for her is all she'll need. Loving and support." Beedle said.

"Where… exactly did this take place?"

"It was near Lake Floria in the Faron region. Ever since that day, she swore off fighting… though there were days I caught her punching a tree or two with her gauntlets, as if her fighting spirit hadn't been completely snuffed out yet."

"If only there was something I could do…"

Beedle patted her on the shoulder. "Just being her friend is all you can do for her." He smiled and walked off. "I'm not sure if it's even possible to kill that thing…"

Weiss frowned. "Just how strong is this Lynel…?" She wondered as she walked toward the Shrine.

BGM: Shrine (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Mirro Shaz. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this trial."

Tempered Power

Weiss hopped down an elevator and walked out of it, seeing what was before her. "Huh…?" She wondered, tilting her head and scratching her head as she looked at the orb on a pedestal. She then looked toward the platform across from her, surrounded by water.

She opened up the chest to pull out an Iron Sledgehammer.

"What the heck…?" She wondered as the gears turned into her head. "...Oooooh."

She used Stasis on the orb and swung the Sledgehammer a few times, and once Stasis finished, the ball went flying… and rolled straight off the platform and into the water.

"Ooops." She chuckled sheepishly as she tried again after hitting the switch, and this time, it rolled right into the hole. "Nailed it!"

At that moment, a screen lowered down and showed her the score.

"Birdie!"

"Heck yeah! I got a Birdie!" Weiss fist pumped. "...Wait… what's a Birdie? Am I getting a bird as a trophy or…?"

With a shrug, she walked off with a hum, noticing a block on a railing that looked like it should be shot straight into the wall up ahead, so with the power of Stasis, she swung into it and sent the block flying up, tilting the wall that was actually a ramp as Weiss walked up and saw the shrine in front of her.

…But she also saw there was more stuff to do as she walked around and saw another golfing course in front of her, but pillars were in the way.

"Hmmm…" Weiss aimed her shot. "No… there's a pillar in the way…" She mused as she climbed over the railing, looking over to see what she could do. "Hmmm…"

She snapped her fingers as she used some glyphs for some stairs as she then dipped her hand into the water, freezing the entire water solid.

She turned around and used Stasis, swinging the Sledgehammer as the orb went flying and hit the pillar, causing it to fall into the ice… but Weiss vaulted over and ice skated toward the orb, swinging the sledgehammer like a hockey stick and struck the ball, sending it toward the ramp and she hit it again to give it a boost, where it landed right in the hole almost immediately.

"Heh… now that's how you do it." She said as she turned around and went off to collect her prize that opened up… with was a Giant Ancient Core. "...All of that for this? Okay, whatever." She shrugged and went to collect her Spirit Orb.

Resume Field - Day BGM

Weiss decided to walk back to the Training Grounds, but once she got close, she decided to cut to the left, heading for the Rauru Hillside, deciding to take the scenic route to Hebra. She glanced over to the sight of Hyrule Castle from behind and frowned at the sight of it.

"It's all tattered…"

She turned her head. "Don't worry, Ruby… I'll get you out of there as soon as I can." She said as she continued to walk through, coming across a few Bokoblins. She remembered her blue fire.

"Oh right, I was gonna test that on more organic lifeforms." She said as she threw orange flames at a Blue Bokoblin, causing it to yelp out in pain while she threw blue fire at another Blue Bokoblin.

Both Bokoblins shrieked as they ran around in a panic while Weiss knelt down, studying the two creatures.

The orange fire on the Blue Bokoblin sizzled out but was covered in burns… but the blue fire stayed on much longer to the point where the Bokoblin succumbed to the flames.

"Okay, so blue definitely sticks around for a bit longer." She mused, firing a point blank arrow at the first Bokoblin to put it out of its misery.

She then used an orange flame at her finger tip and used it on her other arm, feeling a little burn. She pulled away and switched it to blue, feeling some intense heat coming from it. "Ow!" She winced as she pulled away. "Just as I thought, blue's hotter."

She used some ice to cool down her burn wounds. "I had a feeling but I just had to make sure."

She continued to walk over before she spotted a peculiar tree that caught her attention. She walked over to it as it was near Hyrule Castle. "This tree…" She whispered, narrowing her eyes… before she gasped, widening her eyes.

"There's one! Oh! And another!" Ruby said excitedly as she and Weiss were sitting in a field together. "The flowers we have in Hyrule aren't just beautiful… they're also quite useful as ingredients for a variety of things."

She was happily taking pictures with the Sheikah Slate with a happy smile on her face.

"Ya know… I always pictured you being happy with roses, but here you are admiring other wild flowers."

Ruby giggled. "Roses are my favorite, yes… but I can't help but admire the beauty of other flowers!"

"Fair enough."

Ruby then gasped, seeing a small blue flower. "This one…"

"What about it?"

"This flower is called the Silent Princess. It's a rare, endangered species. Despite our efforts, we can't get them to grow domestically yet. The princess can only thrive out here in the wild…"

Ruby gently caressed the Silent Princess solemnly. "All we can hope is that the species will be strong enough to prosper, on its own…"

"I'm sure that it will some day."

Ruby smiled. "I think so too." She nodded before something else caught her eye, causing her to gasp. "Is that what I think it is?!" She scurried over and knelt down, scooping it up with her hands. "Gotcha!"

"What'd you get?" Probably another bug…

"I don't believe it, but I actually caught one! This delicacy is known to have very, very potent effects under the proper circumstances." She opened her hands to reveal a frog. "Ta-dah~!"

"...A frog?" Weiss raised an eyebrow.

"Research from the castle shows ingesting one of these can actually augment certain abilities. We wouldn't be in a controlled environment, but with your level of magic…"

"Uuuuh… Princess? Where are you going with this…?"

"You'll be the perfect candidate for the study~!"

"HUH?!"

"Go on! Taste it~!"

"I'm not eating a live frog, you dolt!"

"But you ate a rock, which tells me you'll eat anything! So bottoms up!"

One frog eaten later…

"Uuuuungh…" Weiss groaned as she was lying in bed.

"Oh goodness, you're burning up…" Willow whispered.

"I don't feel so hot…"

"And you sound like you have a frog in your throat. Not to worry, I'll whip up something that will cure this ailment!"

Willow hurried off as Weiss glared at a sheepish Ruby while Impa was facepalming.

"You… did this to me…"

"In hindsight, I think it would've been better if we had… cooked the frog first."

"Ya think?!" Impa shook her head, causing Ruby to laugh nervously while rubbing her head.

Weiss chuckled fondly, shaking her head. "That dolt… what am I gonna do with her?"

At that moment, she heard the sound of hooves trotting near her as she turned her head to see a blue maned Lynel charging ahead, only to turn around and breathed fire, but it wasn't aimed for Weiss.

A twinge of fear pierced through Weiss, as she quickly hid behind the tree to watch what the Blue Maned was fighting. She climbed up the tree to further cover herself.

BGM: Mysterious (Hyrule Warriors)

At that moment, a different kind of Lynel approached the blue maned Lynel calmly. It was shaped like a normal Lynel, but the mane was sharper and had spikes around the mane, acting like a spiked collar. The eyes were blood colored and had razor sharp blades for horns. It had a scar going diagonally on his face.

He also had battle scars all over his body, proving to be battle weary but still in great enough shape. His arms had sharp claws coming off of his hands. At his forelegs, he wore a belt that was lined with skulls of different shapes. One of which was a Lynel head that was in the process of rotting.

His body color was a sleek silver, almost as if it was platinum colored while the mane was black.

Weiss stared at this Lynel, watching it calmly analyze the blue maned Lynel. The blue maned Lynel roared, but it wasn't a roar of pride or a roar of intimidation. It was a roar of fear.

The Blue Lynel roared again as it breathed fire at the Lynel, but to Weiss's surprise, the Lynel parried the Blue Lynel's fireball with just its swords. The Blue Lynel charged forward as the two of them clashed with their swords until the other Lynel parried him and knocked the sword off of it.

The Lynel jumped back, got on all fours and started charging as did the Blue Lynel, but the Lynel moved his head a few inches as the bladed horn impaled the Blue Lynel's face, stabbing through it and coming out of the back of the skull.

Weiss put her hands over her mouth in horror, but the rotting Lynel head also intrigued her. That Lynel head… is it a fresh kill? It's almost as if-

She gasped, flashing back to Ploymous Mountain.

The same one from Ploymous Mountain! She thought in horror. The Silver Lion…

The Platinum Lynel removed himself as the Blue Lynel collapsed. The Lynel shoved his horns into the Blue's body and then with his hands, he ripped the Blue Lynel's body in half, enough to make Weiss's stomach turn.

Nearby, a Guardian Skywatcher had witnessed the entire thing and aimed its reticle at the Platinum. The Platinum glanced over at the Guardian as he picked up the lower torso of the Blue Lynel, swung it around and launched it toward the Guardian, where the laser hit the body, causing an explosion of a red mist to cover the area.

The Platinum Lynel pulled out his bow and nocked an arrow as he fired into the sky… where it split up into thousands of arrows as it struck the Skywatcher, sending it crashing to the ground and exploding.

"Oh my Hylia… this is the beast that destroyed Kuroyuri and the Branwen Tribe…" Weiss whispered.

The Platinum's ear twitched as it turned around to face the tree that Weiss was hiding in.

Did it just hear me?! She thought in horror as the Platinum slowly approached her. She immediately looked into her Sheikah Slate and quickly warped to Toh Yahsa's shrine in the Thundra Plateau.

The Platinum Lynel approached the tree as it turned around… and gave it a good horse kick, knocking the tree down to the ground. It walked around toward the destroyed branches. He immediately saw something of interest that no one else would have seen. It reached down and pulled up a strand of white hair.

Weiss's hair.

The Platinum Lynel examined it before sniffing it. It let out a growl of surprise. The scent felt… familiar. Almost like it faced a Schnee a long time ago.

He formed a smirk. Perhaps a worthy opponent was in Hyrule after all.

It turned around, opposite of where Weiss teleported to and walked off, eager to find this opponent.

"Note to self… stay away from that Lynel until you're good and ready." She said to herself as she ran across the plateau, then making a right turn once she left the Thundara Plateau and kept running, looking behind her in case the Lynel was around and had spotted her.

She kept running until she saw a Stable up ahead. The moment she got really close, her legs gave out as she fell on her knees and panted heavily.

BGM: Stable

At that moment, a drink was offered to her as she looked up to see Neo giving her a friendly smile.

["Lon Lon Milk?"]

Weiss took it and tanked it down, handing her a few Rupees in payment as she felt more energized. "Thanks, Neo…"

["No prob~!"] Neo smiled sweetly. ["You looked like you were in a hurry."]

"I witnessed the Silver Lion in action… almost got killed so I had to book it."

Neo's eyes widened. ["You almost had a run in with the Silver Lion?! You're lucky."]

"I know…" Weiss nodded. "Where's Roman?"

["Taking a nap."]

"That figures."

["Where you headed this time?"]

"Rito Village."

["Rito Village? That's not far from here… but I'd be careful if I were you. Hebra tends to be rather cold."]

Weiss smiled. "I think I can handle it." She winked as her Sheikah Slate booped, alerting her of a shrine nearby. "Oh! Is there a shrine nearby?"

Neo pointed toward the Shrine.

"Thanks!" Weiss walked over to the Shrine.

Good luck trying to get in… Neo thought, and then her eyes widened when Weiss simply activated it and walked inside. She blinked, rubbing her eyes and blinked again to make sure she wasn't just seeing things.

BGM: Shrine

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Shae Loya. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this trial."

Aim For The Moment

Weiss looked at what was in front of her, seeing a launcher perpetually shooting an orb into the air, but never going down to roll into the switch. She had an idea and was about to use stasis on the orb, but then noticed a treasure chest nearby on a wooden platform.

She threw a fireball at it, burning the wooden platform as the metal treasure chest fell to the ground. She walked over and opened it up, pulling out a Falcon Bow. She decided to give her Crossbow a break as she walked back to the upper platform and used Stasis on the orb, quickly firing two arrows as the orb had slightly moved once stasis deactivated, as it gently rolled down into the switch.

"Alright!" Weiss turned to the door. "Now for that to open-"

The platform she was on launched her into the air.

"WAAAAAAH!" She yelped as she immediately recovered and used her paraglider to slow her descent. "Okay. Not what I had in mind." She said, then spotting a treasure chest in front of her as she glided her way over, getting around the launcher that was launching the ball in the air as she opened it up and pulled out a Topaz.

She went back to the starting launcher and scratched her head as she stepped into it again, launching high into the air… and saw a light embedded into the wall. "Oh!" She aimed her Falcon Bow and fired an arrow, activating the light and causing the door below to activate.

She gently landed on the ground and walked over to collect her Spirit Orb.

BGM: Field - Day

Weiss walked out and hopped down, then crossed the Tabantha Bridge. After she crossed it, her Sheikah Slate went off to alert her of a shrine. "Another one?" She wondered as she looked around while holding the Slate in her hands.

It started booping loudly when she aimed it at the top of the mountain. "Up there? Alright then." She nodded as she walked over and started climbing up, and when she got a bit too tired, she propelled herself up with water and got to the top, seeing the shrine in front of her.

"There we are." She said as she walked forward, but then spotted the lay out in front of her, tilting her head. "Wait a second… this is…" She mumbled to herself as her eyes widened, gasping as a memory resurfaced.

"Hmmm…" Ruby tried to put the Sheikah Slate into the pedestal, but nothing was working. "Just as I thought…" She mumbled to herself as she looked at the Shrine. "It appears that this structure was designed to be exclusively accessed by the sword's chosen one. But designs can always be worked around… at least, I hope."

Ruby folded her arms. "Mmmmph… how do I get inside? I need to activate it somehow. What do I do… dig a tunnel? Offer it a plate of cookies… make it fall in love with Zwei?"

At that moment, she heard the sound of a horse neighing as Ruby turned her head to see Weiss approaching her before hopping off of the horse. A small resentful growl escaped Ruby's lips.

"There you are." Weiss said. "Princess, I told you that you shouldn't leave-"

"I thought I made it clear that I am not in need of an escort!"

Weiss sighed. "This again…?"

"Ugh, it seems like I'm the only one with a mind of my own. I, the person in question, am fine, regardless of the king's orders! Return to the castle and tell that to my father please."

Ruby stormed off, brushing her shoulder against Weiss's.

Weiss frowned. "What's gotten into you lately?" She wondered as she walked after Ruby. "Princess, hang on a mome-"

"AND STOP FOLLOWING ME!" Ruby yelled.

"...Well, excuuuuuse me, princess!" Weiss huffed in annoyance.

"I think I may have an idea on why the princess is like this."

Weiss shifted her eyes to the Master Sword strapped to her back. "And that is?"

"Call it a hunch, but I believe there may be some resentment."

"I don't know, Jinn… she was all friendly with me before but it's like… something changed after I took the Master Sword."

"It is only a hunch, but perhaps you ought to talk it out with her one of these days."

Weiss sighed. "I hope it'll be on one of her good days…"

"Mmm…" Weiss shook her head. "Was she always like that…? No… she wasn't… but why…?"

She turned to the Shrine in question, activating it and walked inside, wondering what Ruby would have done if she had gone inside this particular one.

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Tena Ko'sah. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this combat trial."

A Major Test Of Strength

"Wait, combat trial? …Something tells me Ruby would've liked this one." She said as she walked into the arena as a Guardian Scout rose up from the platform, and pulled out a Guardian Shield, Sword and Axe. "...Aaaand would have gotten herself KILLED!"

BGM: Shrine Battle (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Weiss pulled out the Biggoron Sword as she and the Guardian charged at each other, both of them delivering powerful swings as the Guardian swung its axe, but Weiss backflipped at the right time, proceeding to Flurry Rush the Guardian in quick succession.

The Guardian jumped back and spun its weapons like a chainsaw, launching toward Weiss but she rolled out of the way. At that moment, her eyes turned draconic and her Dragon Tattoo glowed brightly as she converted the flames into the Biggoron Sword.

The Guardian rushed forward as did Weiss, the former swinging with the Guardian Sword but Weiss rolled out of the way and swung down, creating a powerful explosion that knocked the Guardian several yards away as Weiss then pulled out her Gold Gauntlets and picked up a pillar, then threw it at the Guardian as it responded by firing a laser, destroying the pillar before it could even hit it.

It then targeted Weiss and fired, but Weiss parried with the Hylian Shield, sending it back toward the Guardian and destroyed it.

End BGM

Weiss put her weapons away as she walked up ahead, collecting the Shield and the two weapons as she walked toward the chest and opened it up, pulling out another Knight's Halberd and then went off to collect her Spirit Orb.

Resume Field - Day BGM

Weiss walked out, feeling refreshed after feeling her magic rejuvenated from the Spirit Orb and walked toward the Tabantha Tower, walking around the Guardian Skywatchers patrolling the canyon and then continued on until she climbed up the rocks, shooting down Moblins as they patrolled the tower.

As she got closer, she immediately saw malice grabbing a hold of the tower. "More of this…" She mumbled as she walked around it until she found an eye, firing an arrow into it to destroy it, leaving an opening for her to climb up and activate the Tabantha Tower.

"There we go." She smiled, watching the Sheikah Slate's map open up even further. She put it away and looked toward Rito Village in the distance, seeing Vah Medoh slowly fly around it.

She turned around and was about to hop off, but notice a massive flower bud nearby. "Hmm?" She wondered, immediately flashing back to Kakariko where she saw the same thing. "Oh… a Great Fairy."

She hopped off and glided her way down.

BGM: Great Fairy's Fountain (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Weiss approached the fountain as she landed, noticing a bunch of Luminous Ore Deposits as she broke them apart to get more Luminous Stones, then she walked up the steps to the fountain and knocked on the bud.

"Knock knock."

"Who is it?"

"The champion of Hyrule, the Mage Knight."

"The Mage Knight?"

The flower "bloomed" as the Great Fairy, Kaysa, came out. "My my, I heard from Cotera that she walks amongst us again… and I have to say, you're quite the specimen, aren't you~?"

Weiss blinked. "Wait… now when you say "specimen"..."

Kaysa giggled. "Never mind that~ Something tells me you need a boost… allow me to help you out for that, you fine looking woman you~"

Weiss blushed. Aaaand I think I made a mistake… She thought as Kaysa kissed her finger and then planted it on Weiss's face.

"Done~! Your defensive capabilities have now been increased." She said before spotting the dragon tattoo on her arm. "My, that's a curious mark on your arm. It seems to me that you were chosen by one of the dragons… Dinraal, by the looks of it."

"Yeah, I got Din's Fire with me, but it's like… every time I use it, I'm magically drained real quick."

"Oh, that's because using magic based from the Goddess of Power takes a great deal of magic to use… even the most powerful mage would have her magic power drained if they're not careful."

Kaysa sighed happily. "It reminds me in the far distant era where a young woman walked up to a Fairy Fountain and was gifted Din's Fire, but used up a lot of magic too."

"What did this woman do?"

"She sought out ways to increase her magic so she would not be tuckered out so easily. Of course, back then, it was the goddess power. Nowadays, Din's Fire is draconic… same with Nayru's Love and Farore's Wind."

"Huh… okay… and I imagine the power of the dragon takes a lot of you."

"Indeed. And you know what? We Great Fairies actually have something that can counteract the power of the Dragon. It'll make you able to withstand its power and not have your magic feel drained as easily."

"What is it?"

Kaysa giggled mischievously. "Well… I don't normally invite folks into my home until they buy me dinner first, but I can make an exception~"

"...What are you doing?" Weiss whimpered, slowly backing away as Kaysa grabbed a hold of her. "Ack! Unhand me!"

"In we goooooooo~!"

"No! No no no no no! Not like this… NOT LIKE THIIIIIIS!" She screamed as they both went into the water.

"Ah, here we are!"

"Oh… okay, this isn't so bad."

"You want to know how it's sealed inside you~?"

"Do I even want to know…?"

"It's quite simple~"

"What are you doing… wait, why are you puckering up?! GET YOUR DAMN LIPS AWAY FROM ME!"

A bright light shot out of the fountain as Kaysa emerged a few seconds later, placing Weiss on the ground.

"There we go~! Don't forget to call me~! Ta taaaaaa~!" Kaysa disappeared into the fountain.

Resume Field - Day BGM

Weiss shuddered as she was dripping wet.

The Great Fairy's Blessing, capable of increasing her magic power exponentially to the point where her magic won't be drained quite as quickly, especially with the Dragon's Power.

…And she got it by a big ol' smooch.

"I wouldn't have minded it if she bothered to wear anything…" Weiss shuddered as she hopped down and walked toward Rito Village, praying to the goddess that the other fairies wouldn't act so violently flirty with her.

Perhaps a trip back to Kakariko to chat with Cotera might be the best scenario.

She sat down on a rock, her legs a bit wobbly after what Kaysa did to her. She closed her eyes and let the wind blow through her hair. After all that walking, it felt great to just sit down and enjoy the view.

…And then the ground rumbled underneath her.

"What the?!" Weiss wondered as she hopped off.

BGM: Battle - Talus (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

"Can't even have five minutes to myself…" Weiss mumbled as the Talus rose and "looked" down at Weiss, walking forward to her as Weiss switched to the Stone Smasher as the Talus swung its whole arm into her, but she rolled out of the way as she fired an arrow at the ore deposit to stun the Talus.

She immediately climbed up on the Talus and proceeded to wail away on the ore deposit but the Talus bumped her off as Weiss landed on her feet, ready for round two…

…And then several Bomb Arrows struck the Ore Deposit on the Talus, making it fall and crumble to pieces within seconds.

"What the…?" She wondered.

"Are you alright, miss?" A voice asked as Weiss turned to see a man approaching her, holding a bow in his hand.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a wandering traveler. Weiss Schnee, pleasure to meet you."

"Well met." He said. "I am Li Ren, a survivor from Kuroyuri. A great monster destroyed our village and what remained of us, we settled in Rito Village."

"I've heard about what happened." Weiss said. "I've seen the monster myself."

"Then you're lucky to be alive. Come." He turned around and walked off as Weiss followed him.

"I hate to pry, but… what was that monster like, exactly?"

"It was cruel… and it was cunning. Smart like all Lynels, yet this one was smarter than most. Kuroyuri was a settlement near Satori Mountain. A quaint village that actually survived the Great Calamity, all because it was protected by the Lord of the Mountain. When that monster came, the Lord of the Mountain fought it off… but the Lynel severely wounded it, forcing it to retreat back to the mountains… and that's when it attacked Kuroyuri."

"Oh my gosh…"

"We had tried to fight it off, but to our dismay, the Silver Lion ruthlessly slaughtered everyone. It shrugged off everything we threw it at. We were forced to flee from our homes… traveling across Hyrule and braving the elements. We made it to the Rito Village where they took us in."

"How long ago was this?"

"A year."

"Good to know." So about the same timeframe as Yang's…

"There is not a day that goes by that I want to avenge Kuroyuri, and I want to get stronger… but I fear that if I face the Silver Lion again-"

"You'll perish?"

"No. What I fear is that if I retreat back to Rito Village, it'll follow me and slaughter another village. I do not want that on my conscience."

"Yeah… that's understandable."

"My son and wife have been through so much. I'd rather not see them perish by the hands of that beast."

"So you guard Rito Village?"

"I hunt for food, and I just so happened to stumble upon you. I do not know why, but something about you intrigues me." He said. "What part of Hyrule are you from?"

"Lanayru Mountain."

"A Lanayran? I suspected they were all but extinct… fascinating." He said as they got closer to Rito Village, walking by the Rito Stable. "You are welcome to stay at Rito Village for as long as you'd like. They are very hospitable."

"Thank you."

"I do not know why, but something tells me you are more than just a wandering traveler."

"Well, you see-"

"CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!"

The loud cry made Weiss jump as she looked up to see Vah Medoh circling around Rito Village.

"It seems as if Medoh is acting up again." Li mused.

Weiss stared at Medoh before gasping, quickly running into Rito Village.

"Hmm? Where are you going?" He wondered.

Weiss quickly ran up the stairs, her Sheikah Slate alerting her of a shrine sitting within the village, but she ignored it.

"Oh!" A Rito said in surprise, moving out of the way from Weiss's warpath.

She immediately came to a stop the moment she arrived at Revali's Landing. She lightly panted as she stared at it. "Revali…"

A memory resurfaced.

BGM: Revali's Theme (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)

Weiss sat down on the edge of Revali's Landing, looking toward the Hebra Mountains. "Here." A voice said as Weiss turned to see Revali handing her a fried fish on a stick.

"Oh, thanks." She smiled as she took it. "I have to say, that was a heck of a view from up on Medoh."

"I told you it was a great view of the land. It's got nothing on the peak of Death Mountain, that's for sure."

"Yeah." Weiss chuckled. "So… how many is it now? Fifty/fifty?"

"I'd say it's more sixty/forty."

Weiss gave him a playful glare. "Keeping track, are we?"

Revali gave her a playful smirk. "Someone has to, and besides, I can assure you that I'm the better archer of the two."

"Yeah, keep dreaming, bird brain." Weiss said, causing both to chuckle.

"I'm still a bit miffed that you saw me screwing up my ability. No one was supposed to see that."

"I get that you're just trying to prove you're the best Rito of them all, but there's no need to constantly push yourself to the point where you're hurting yourself. Besides, I was impressed that you were able to pull it off so well."

Revali chuckled. "And here I thought someone would make fun of me for screwing up my style."

"I would never." Weiss smiled, pulling up her fist as they both fist/wingbumped each other.

"Tell you the truth, I feel like I can be my true self to you. You're like my confidant, if you will."

"Too prideful to show this side to everyone?" She teased.

"Hmph! I have to show my strength to everyone, ya know. After all, I've got no one… I'm practically a nobody."

"You're not a nobody."

"Oh yeah? Mipha's the princess of Zora's Domain. Urbosa's the chieftain of the Gerudo and I think she's a descendant of Nabooru. Daruk is… well… Daruk. Princess Ruby is the daughter of King Rhoam and the late Queen Summer and has a whole line behind her… you are the current generation of several Lanayrans before you… so where does that leave me? Why do you think I keep pushing myself?"

"You just want to be recognized… you want to prove that you're not just some Rito."

"Exactly. I want to prove that I'm the best Rito Warrior there is. Why do you think I requested the Flight Range to be built?"

Weiss put a hand on his shoulder. "You're too hard on yourself."

"Heh… maybe I am."

Revali smirked. "But I'm still the best champion there is compared to you."

"Oh really now?" Weiss smirked as she stood up after finishing her snack. "Then how about we see who can kill the most Bokoblins in an hour? Winner gets to have the loser do whatever they want."

Revali stood up. "You're on, Schnee. You may be good, but I'm better."

"We'll see about that!"

The two of them dove off Revali's Landing.

Tears streamed down Weiss's cheeks, clenching her fists. "Revali… my confidant… my best friend…"

She wiped her tears, anger swelling in her eyes.

"I'll do whatever it takes to avenge you."

So, something I've learned several weeks ago, I came across this video on YouTube that was all about Revali. It turns out that the reason why Revali's such an asshole toward Link was because, according to his diary from the DLC, he's apparently hard on himself because he has nothing. Urbosa's the Chieftain, Mipha's the princess of Zora's Domain, Daruk is the big lovable goof in Death Mountain and a hundred years later, you have descendants or family of the champions. Sidon being Mipha's Bro, Riju who's more than likely a descendant of Urbosa and Yunobo being the descendant of Daruk.

Meanwhile, Teba is just some guy who isn't related to Revali at all, so Revali pretty much has nothing. He puts on a tough guy act because deep down, he's insecure. He personally requested the Flight Range to be built just so no one could see his true self. In the DLC cutscenes, we see Revali being hard on himself before he realizes that Zelda was watching the whole thing, and he turns a one eighty and acts all "cool" and stuff.

In his diary, he also mentions that he wanted to show off Revali's Gale to Link, but due to Link's stoicism (Because, according to Zelda's diary, Link is silent because he feels all eyes are on him protecting Zelda, so he becomes the quiet stoic type so he can have a better grip on his emotions and helps him stay focused), Revali thought Link wasn't impressed, which in turn caused Revali to resent Link, hence why he was so hostile towards him in BoTW and AoC yet was fine to hang around everyone else.

When I learned about that, I went "Okay, I think I'll write a different scene at Revali's Landing where he's much more chill with Weiss, since she's not the stoic type in this story."

Thought that was a bit interesting.
