[Notice: the [Minor boss wheel] has landed on the result of [Crucible knight] you may choose between the options: [ Ordovis's Greatsword (weapon)], [Siluria's Tree (weapon)]]
"I don't have to worry about not having a weapon it seems, now I just have to decide on if either the Greatsword or the Great spear is better."
'Bah who am I kidding [Siluria's tree] is essentially a magical drill cannon I Choosing that is the obvious choice over weapon with an ash of war which requires time to charge up while within melee to be effective, I would choose [Ordovis's Greatsword] in comparison with other weapons but I'm not sure where or when I am in the world outside but the idea of using an weapon which's only real benefit comes with a weakness which is only mitigated by armour while not having any armour lowers it in value, at least with [Siluria's tree] I can snipe people if needed and looks intimidating as hell for a weapon.'
"I'll take Siluria's Tree" as he Speakes those words the bronze great spear shaft starts to materialise at his relative foot hight if he could see his feet, it seemingly grows rapidly before forming into the shape of a long great Spear but with three distinct crowns of curling Horns pointing towards a pair of Horn cross guards and sharpened bronze spear tip.
Once the weapon is in view, he starts to feel lightheaded for some reason, but it clears up as his mind is filled with the knowledge to how to use the spear as well as the temporary light weapons.
"System do the npc rolls also how long do I have until I wake up" the [NPC Wheel] starts to spin but my focus is on the board in front of me.
[Answer: The Host may exit the [Elden Roulette Ring System] whenever you want but time continues in the world you are currently in and currently your body is in an unconscious state for 3 days there meaning if you exit the system now you would stay asleep for 3 days.]
"that is not the best news today, head injuries are no joke but I'm surprised it would take so long to just wake up" his observations are cut short as the wheel slows to a stop for the fifth time with the result being show to him.
[Notice: The [Npc wheel] has landed on the results of [Preceptor Seluvis (L)], [Commander Edgar(U)] [Miriel, Pastor of vows(L)], [Thops the apprentice(C)] and [Patches the Untethered(U)]]
Infront of him 5 glowing cards appear depicting each of the Npc's of various colours and underneath their images there is a small line of text, taking one of the cards in hand it shows an image of a resting turtle in some ruins and the text reads "Magic +4, Miracles +4.".
"System you said the Npc cards would give me resources could you explain more."
[Answer: Each Npc card gives resources relative to five different resources, Said resource types are: Magic, Miracles, Smithing, Spirit and War remnant, the more resource a card provides the rarer it appears on the [NPC Wheel], Note most cards only provide one type of resource while cards which provide more than one type of resource are of the rarest type, each of these types of cards only appear on the wheel a single time while most other cards can appear multiple times, such levels of rarity are as such in descending order; Legendary(L), Rare(R), Uncommon (U), Common(C)]
[Notice: Due to the Host's compensation your first Npc draw was guaranteed to be of Legendary Quality]
"So, I got a legendary out of 4 spins of the wheel system tell me what were the odd of that".
[Answer: the chance of any legendary card is less than 2%]
[Notice: here are the resources gained per NPC card.
[Preceptor Seluvis: 4 Magic, 4 Spirit]
[Miriel, Pastor of vows: 4 Magic. 4 Miracles]
[Commander Edgar: 4 War]
[Patches the untethered: 4 Any]
[Thops the apprentice: 2 Magic]]
Reading the board the main outlier of the pack after the legendary cards is Patches, "wait patches is any?"
[Answer: within the [NPC wheel] select cards are known as Wild cards and their resources can be allocated freely when using resources.]
[Notice: Identified the Host to have gained Resources, now Opening the Shop system, Host may now use your acquired resources to purchase sorceries, miracles, Weapons, spirit ashes, Ashes of war or Armour using your resources as currency.]
"I see, I had a thought about that, since I'm not using runes as a universal currency like from the game how much will things be worth and what about spirit ashes which didn't have a value in the game?"
[Answer: using your resources you can acquire equipment from the shop by paying resources equal to a Stat requirement of the equipment in question with each resource being associated with a corresponding Stat; Magic = Intelligence, Miracles = Faith, Note Magic and/or Miracle resource can be used to pay for equipment's Arcana requirement, Smithing is used for either Strength or dexterity.
The Resources Spirit and War remnants use Different methods to provide equipment, Spirit allows you pay to roll a series of Wheels known as [Spirit Wheel]'s, said wheels have predetermined costs each with different levels of rarity requiring more spirit for higher rarity spirit ashes to appear, said costs are 4,10,16, 22 and 30 spirit.
Note Additional Spirits are available which weren't in the game, some of said spirits are mini-bosses or even bosses.
Note Spirit ashes also have a rarity system, this system is to both define how strong the spirit is and how long you can use said spirit, another restriction is that there is a set number of available uses of the spirit ashes per day dependent on the rarity, Note The highest Rarity of Spirit doesn't have a time limit and actually has the consciousness of the entity allowing them to accompany you as a companion, Note if a spirit is destroyed while summoned the ashes become useless.]
Tilting his head he continues to read the explanation in semi boredom but once a mention of companions come about his attention, then the statement that spirits can be killed then just removed.
"Is that the same with companions and if they die will they retain their memories of me if I get them again?"
[Answer: yes]
[Notice: War Remnant is used for both ashes of war as well as armour, regardless of the armour in question Each armour piece has a corresponding to the armour segment in question; Head = 5, Chest=7, arm = 4, Legs = 6, Note you are affected by the weight of the armour so be aware when choosing.]
[Notice: Ashes of war also have a set overarching cost but they are different depending on the effects of the ash of war; 2 war remnants for Ashes of which don't deal elemental damage or apply status effects, 6 war remnants for Ashes which do deal Elemental damage or apply status effects, 12 war remnants for Ashes of war which are connected to either the 9 legendary armaments or the unique ash of war for a weapon within the [Minor boss wheel], Note ash of war unique to weapons within the [Major boss wheel] cannot be bought. Note Ash of war's can be placed on any weapon provided from the system for free as well as can be placed on weapons regardless of restrictions from the game version of the [Elden ring] world but have an additional cost equal to half the purchase price of the ash of war, Note once you buy an ash of war Host may apply it up to 3 uses before needing to purchase the ash of war again.]
'Ok that is useful I guess; it would be powerful to just brandish a dagger and a spike impales someone from below. Also, if I remember I have just enough Spirit to roll on the lowest Wheel, maybe I should do it'.
"System what are the chances that if I did the spirit wheel which cost 4 is there of getting a companion"
[Answer: 0%]
"that's disheartening, what's the cheapest spirit wheel which could give me a companion then?
[Answer: 22]
'Yikes, that's far off then and at that point it would be better to save up for the 30 Spirit wheel.' Sighing as he shrugs his hands, 'maybe the companions are really powerful to compensate, I know the spirit ashes were useful in the game, wait'.
"System is the Mimic tear within any of the spirit wheels?"
[Answer: No, and before you ask it's not in the [boss wheel] either.]
"Really, I would have thought it would be available since it's a great spirit summon."
[Answer: The Mimic Tear's power makes it so it copy's the Host's strength, equipment and spells but the [Elden Ring Roulette System] it has identified the Mimic tear to actually be a malicious and hazardous entity due to this Trait, if the Mimic Tear was summoned it would effectively gain a copy of the [Elden Ring Roulette System] before trying to kill the host as it was created for that purpose within the [Elden Ring] world to essentially act like a beneficial unknown parasite to copy the mind, body and soul of its summoner before killing its user to take over their fate to instil a Elden lord puppet under the control of Nokron the eternal city.]
Reading this he's just shocked at the revelation, 'ok no mimic tear', suddenly the space around him seems to shake slightly.
"What's happening?"
[Answer: your being physically shaken by someone or something in the world you were placed in an attempt to wake you up]
"How long do I have until I awake".
[Answer: you have 3 hours until you could have awoken in the real world anyway]
"3 Hours! I though you said it would have taken 3 days for me to wake me up, I'm not complaining but why is it so different now?"
[Answer: The Time setup within the system is convoluted and fractured, the system is currently using information from the Elden Ring world where a single day would equate to 1 hour from your world, until you identify the world outside the system's time measuring ability won't be fully concurrent with the world outside]
'Well, that's going to get annoying really fast' "how would I fix it then."
[Notice: issuing Quest: Find the Time]
[Quest: Find the Time
Find a time measuring device in that world to help the system!
Reward: 2 spins of the NPC wheel.]
[Notice: Host has gained Access to the [Quest system], The [Quest System] is where the [Elden Ring Roulette System] issues and manages Quests connected to the Host, Said Quests come with rewards of either System Resources, Equipment or Spins of one the System's wheels.]
'I did have a lingering though on how I would be able to get more spins but that kind of just explained it for me,' "will I be able to keep track of the quests while not in the system space".
[Answer: yes, there will now be a permanent mark in the bottom of your periphery vision, if you focus on that it would manifest a System menu only you can see, in that menu board you can access all of the systems functions and summon equipment with certain limitations which aren't important, the only function you won't have access to would be the [Elden Ring Roulette System's] space which can only be entered while asleep.]
Tilting his head slightly "then why does the system space exist if I could just access everything while awake?"
[Answer: in this space you're in immortal and you have free reign to practice and experiment with the equipment where such immortality is highly Recommended when messing around with equipment and magics which could kill you easily.]
'That makes sense. Maybe I should buy magic or something before I wake up, If I do it would make sense to focus on incantations since Morgott game me that skill, doesn't that make all the things they use to cast said incantations obsolete'.
"System with the skill gained that allowed me to use incantation's freely do you still have the items used to cast incantations still and if why".
[Answer: the Equipment used to cast Incantations are referred to as [Seals], [Seals] are still offered in the [Equipment shop] Due to how most [Seals] give a percentage boost to certain Incantations when held so they can be used as interchangeable buff, Also the skill [Holy arms] can't be used to cast either [Dragon communion] or [Blood] Incantations due to such incantations having a requirement of [Arcane] to cast and the Skill [Holy arms] works only off [Faith]]
The world Shook again.
[Notice: Host is waking up in 10 seconds]
Slapping the palms of his hands against where his head would be feels light force.
"Ok then Let's get started."
