Now we have gotten the system explained, to those still reading I feel I should explain why I went into so much detail about wheels and resources to count as 2 chapters long, the explanation it is that I actually made multiple roulette wheels that I will be spinning to make it so the story is actually partially improvised on my part where I have to create the story around the machinations of chance, I hope everyone would enjoy the story coming.
Waking up groggy twice in a row is not an experience most people would like but knowing that he's still alive and still in relative shape but unless you're a woman or gay you would not prefer to be faced to face with a tanned male elf with a buzzcut.
Jolting awake and in the process pushing the man away from him in more shock than anger he rises to a sitting position before looking around quickly.
"Well, that's what I get for saving your live it seems." The elf says ending with a huff to express their annoyance.
Looking towards the elf he groans as a light headache strikes, "ah, sorry, can you give me a second." Looking around he notices he was placed at the base of a felled tree which was casting some shade on the stretch of beach he was resting on, not much but if laying down it would block the sun from getting to a person's eye but doesn't really matter much since its twilight.
Moving to get more comfortable and beginning to prop against the tree for support he looks around with more ease to notice the surrounding area as a campsite even with a small tent nestled within a nook of trees, all the while a pristine cooking pot which bubbling due to a fire illuminating the campsite against the dark underneath, the elf resident has taken to rest next to the fire and is tending to the mixture within the pot.
The Headache strikes again and in a better position he reaches to his forehead to feel the distinct impression of a tender bruised bump, "What happened".
The elf responds while not even looking away from the pot, "no idea really, that shockwave coming from the mainland came, then the ground shakes something fierce then popped spewing purple goo like a zit and leaving a crater, same pop sent you and that tree behind you into my camp" Raising a hand to his chin he continues, " I half the mind to suspect you were the cause of the pop, but if you were then why would I find you unconscious."
Dragging his hand down his face in annoyance he starts to speak, "It's coming back to me, to explain it simply I washed up on the island followed the beach, saw the campfire, hid behind the tree to see if you were hostile before I approached then the blast, I have no idea what happened and I'm just having the worst day ever."
The Elf looks at him incredulously "Really? Well, that would explain you not having a weapon, shield, or any real armour on you, if you were wearing a helmet you would have been knocked out by old Betsy." He says before smiling at the cooking pot before taking out a spoon and stirring the pot.
"Quite" he responds dryly before asking, "Anyway where are we, you said that the land in the distance is the mainland, so I would assume this is an island and not a peninsula or lagoon connected directly to said mainland."
"Yup, this island is Eventide Island and were currently resting on its only beach, Toronbo Beach, this island is mostly uninhabited, and I just arrived two days ago, so finding you was kind of not expected".
At the mention of the island name he feels like he's heard of that place before but it as he thinks about it his headache strikes again, this time enough to cause him to cry out.
"You might want to slow down there fella, I laid you down for a reason, a head injury like that is not something just walk off with only a few hours of rest" standing up and walking to a backpack that was placed opposite the cooking pot to me so it was out of direct notice the elf takes a wooden bowl and spoon out before approaching the pot and scooping some of its contents using the bowl, "It would have been better if I had something to stop the swelling but nothing heals a person better than a Seafood Curry" Coming towards me he hands me the bowl with a delectable looking set of curry.
looking at him I take the Curry "thanks," He takes a small bite of the curry dish to a great palette of flavours mixed together before starting to consume the dish like its his first meal in weeks, seeing the injured person eat with gusto the elf goes to plate up his own portion before tucking in as well.
Once both men have finished their meal the elf collects the plates before returning them to the backpack, a small voice in the system's host's head screams at the unsanitary practice but the man outwardly shows no emotion, He does though restart the conversation digging for more information since having just an island name isn't jogging his memory.
"I love Seafood curry mainly since I lived on the coast, so it's one of my favourite meals but to be honest I didn't know rice grew on tropical islands, also I just have to ask what seasoning you used, it gave the curry a great kick in flavour that just elevated it nicely."
The Elf just looks at the man with befuddled eyes before starting to talk with a smile on his face, "well the recipe is simple really but I made it using some ingredients I brought for my journey to the island but the seafood I caught myself, the other ingredients are just Hylian rice which doesn't Grow on Eventide Island and Goron spice which has to be imported from Goron city but just a pinch is needed since its very strong."
At the mention of the Hylian rice the memories of the mega franchise made from Nintendo just flood right into his mind, 'Shit I'm in a Zelda world, wait now I remember Eventide was that island in the open world Zelda games, ok I know I'm in either Breath of the wild or Tears of the kingdom, lucky I've played both when they came out so I know stuff beforehand but I also know the world is really dangerous and link essentially acts like a bloody hurricane causing havoc where ever he goes, best to steer away from hurricane link I say'
"Oh, Goron city, last time I heard about Goron city I heard it was too hot to go there unless you weren't a Goron, so unless you have a Goron merchant friend I'm curious how you got the spice, mainly asking to see if you could hook me up."
The Hylian goes back to resting at the fireside, "That might have been the case a few years ago but recently Death Mountain has stopped spewing so much magma due to that reptile looking Divine Beast, that its visible from miles away, due to this the Temperature around Eldin has dropped enough that hylian's can now stand the heat, opening up trade for it better since the metals the gorons pull from that mountain makes the finest weapons and armour."
Sensing the cosmos setting him up for the joke he responds, "so mostly Iron."
Not understanding the joke, the Hylian just answers "not just iron, but steel as well, mine is actually made from Goron Steel so I can attest to its quality, just look." As he finishes, he takes his sword in its scabbard and draws it to reveal a rusted and unperfect blade, its owner looking at the blade is shocked and starts freaking out at the imperfect blade, but the human looking at him just has a look of acceptance on his face.
'Ok that confirms that I'm in Tears of the kingdom time period and that the shockwave was the upheaval.' When he figured it out saw in the corner of his eye the symbol to activate the system board and a mail symbol which was flashing slightly.
[Notice: Host has Identified the world as 'Legend of Zelda: Open world Edition' and current time period 'Tears of the kingdom' Era]
Looking at the notification he catches one key thing he missed 'wait, Open world edition, shouldn't it just be something like legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom instead'.
[Answer: incorrect, there are key differences between the three worlds, first of all In the [Legend of Zelda: Open world Edition] world uses lore and backstory from most of the Legend of Zelda games while there are worlds which use individual game lore for their world, to prove this distinction, in the Game of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom the Divine Beasts and most advanced Sheika technology are essentially retconned from the world but the man Infront of you just stated the existence of Divine beast Vah Ruta.]
At this revelation the number of men freaking out on the beach go from one to two.
'So, you're saying not everything will be 100% the same as my knowledge from tears of the kingdom and lore from the other games actually has a lot of weight now.'
[Answer: Correct]
'System just to check should I expect the Ganondorf to be essentially the direct reincarnation of Demise since the lore says he was sealed at the creation of Hyrule or on the power level shown in the Game'.
[Answer: your analysis is quite probable]
'System on a scale of 1-10 how fucked am I?'
[Answer: Very]
Starting to hyperventilate his mind starts imagining the multiple ways he's going to die and mentally prays that they are quick.
[Notice: Don't worry host, you have the [Elden Ring Roulette System] the system's power can make you strong enough to fight Ganondorf, with the addition of [Artifacts] you could find in the world you could assist the destined hero and defeat Ganondorf once and for all.]
'you make it sound simple and why would I be looking for artifacts when you would give me stuff of equal value'
[Answer: The collection of said [Artifacts] for the Destined hero could greatly assist him in the Final battle, also [Artifacts] of little use to the hero could be exchanged with the system for wheel spins depending on the [Artifacts] lore strength.]
'So, I can trade artifacts for spins in the system depending on its attached lore, it's better than nothing but it's not like artifacts will rain from the sky, . . . wait Tears of the kingdom has the depths and aren't most of the past hero's armour sets just in the depths unguarded.'

Both the Hylian and human stopped having freakouts shortly after mainly due to tiredness more than anything, laying back down and on his side to get some rest he closes his eyes and contemplates the new quest.
'Getting the Zelda equivalent of a Scavenger hunt isn't ideal but it's a long-term goal so no immediate pressure it's not like it's going to come up any time soon.'
