Dante's words echoed in Robert's head. He didn't know what to say. How was she out? Why was she getting a pass?
"Robert? Are you there?" Dante asked, he was concerned about his friend who he had the unfortunate task of delivering this news to.
"What do you mean she is out? She held Holly for months, shot Ethan, was about to kill both Holly and I, not to mention what she has done over the years and she walked? What the hell kind of clown show is being ran over there?" Robert was mad as hell. This woman had spent year torturing them and was released, how was that justice?
"Robert you misunderstood me, she escaped. When they were moving her." Dante had hoped his father wasn't involved with this but knowing how he helped Anna he just wasn't sure.
"Are you kidding? I guess with mob connections you get that treatment." Robert said flatly then remembered Holly went to answer the door. He dropped his phone as he ran out to the living room. "Holly! Holly!"
Holly had closed the door and had a box in her arms. "This was delivered to me, from a secret admirer." Holly was curious to see what was inside of it.
"Don't open it, don't touch it." Robert took the box and put it up to his ear. He sat it down. "Diane escaped on transfer this might be something from her." Robert spoke honestly to Holly. He walked over to get some gloves to put on, confident it wasn't a bomb. Clearly quick and easy wasn't Diane's style. Opening it he saw an album.
"My baby book" He read out loud. He opened it to find a picture of Holly laying in the hospital, hooked to machines with a very evident baby bump. "That monster!" Robert was outraged as he dropped the book onto the table. He couldn't flip through seeing what they had done to Holly.
Holly picked it up, tears filling her eyes as she flipped through. She saw her growing belly. She even saw a picture of her coming to. This was evil, then again most of the Cassadines were evil.
"I gotta get my phone. I left Dante on it." Robert went into the room to get his phone.
Holly's heart broke, the joy she got out of trying to destroy them. What she robbed Ethan of, it was unbearable. She closed the book and covered her face with her hands.
Robert walked back out after letting Dante know that they were okay, he told him about the book and Dante was sending someone over. He looked at Holly looking so broken. He went over and took her hand into his. "I love you." He told her as he placed a kiss on her head.
Holly blinked back tears. "I love you too." She did her best to make her voice not crack but it did.
"She wants to hurt us, we aren't going to let her." Robert tried to make sure Holly knew that he wasn't going to let Diane do another thing to her.
Holly looked over at him. "I know Robert, I know we won't let her. It's just what she stole and now she's rubbing it in our faces and she escaped. This isn't fair."
Robert completely understood where she was coming from and agreed. "No it's not. She is going to get caught. Even if I have to be a cop like I was back in the day."
"You would do a lot better job." Holly said without thinking. "I am sorry, I know they are your friends and your brother."
Robert shook his head. "I get it, this town is ran by the mob these days. How much better it was back in the 80s?" Robert sighed, he knew the town had changed but he couldn't help but love it. He met some of the most important people in his life here, including Holly.
Holly picked up the album and went to hand it to Robert. "I'm sorry I had to look at it." Robert nodded. "I get it." Robert stood up with it and something fell out of it. He didn't notice but Holly did.
Holly leaned over to pick up what had fell and was completely shocked. "Robert!" She exclaimed as she held it up.
