Disclaimer: Here it is everyone. My very own Disney themed Middle School series, Walton View! I'll really glad to finally be working on this story. I may have to be putting Paw Patrol X season five on hold to make it happen, but I just know it'll be worth it. Oh, and credit to itsbetsy on DeviantArt, who's drawings of some of the Disney characters in a slice of life school show setting inspired me to make this story in the first place. Her work is more than a decade old, but I still say it's worth checking out.

Also, please talk about your thoughts on the actual story instead of just mentioning one thing and having that be it. I want feedback.

Also, I don't own any Disney characters.

Walton View

Season One Episode One: New Kids In Town Part One

The screen lit up as the sign that said Welcome to Walton View stood firm in front of the suburban town that held said name. Somewhere in a high class looking cul-de-sac, an SUV was stopping in front of a house with a sign that said 'Sold' on the front yard. Scamp, a young Terrier pup, was sitting in the window seat, and kicking his feet up and down as he looked at the house from his window. He seemed excited, and when the car stopped, he instantly grabbed onto his father's seat and spoke to him excitedly from his spot. "It looks amazing, dad! We really live here now!?"

Scamp's father, a Terrier named Tramp, was more than happy to confirm this. "We sure do, whirlwind. Feel free to go nuts!"

"Alright!" Scamp instantly opened up his door, and after he stepped outside before his sisters, who were all Cocker Spaniels, an orange Tabby Cat named Oliver was sitting next door on the porch. He smiled at the sight of Scamp and his family. However, Scamp moved out a little too fast and slipped on the last stair to the front door. After face planting into the ground, one of Scamp's sisters, Collette, pushed past her sisters and came out on Scamp's end. Scamp kept his smile and looked back at his family to assure them he wasn't hurt. "I'm good!"

"Nobody cares, Scamp." Collette stated coldly, and she stepped on Scamp three times; once on his foot, then on his back, and then on his face.

As Collette reached for the door, the smart sister, Annette, called her out, as she was the closest to them. "Collette; you can't use Scamp as a doormat like that."

"Why not? He's on the path, isn't he?" Collette responded, and then she went inside with Annette helping Scamp up and heading inside with him.

Obviously, Scamp was hurt by Collette mistreating him. But he didn't let that stop him from looking in awe at the inside of the house. "Wooooow!" The first floor alone had a TV room, a kitchen, and even a hallway to the downstairs bathroom. And the door to the backyard made itself very well known. The rooms themselves were pretty big as well. When Tramp and the mother of the family, a Cocker Spaniel named Lady, came to the door with Danielle, the last sister, Scamp continued to show his excitement. "We could fit so many things in here!"

Tramp rubbed his son's head as Lady was checking her phone to see when the moving van would be here. "Our stuff from the old house should be here by tomorrow."

"What!?" Collette shouted from the living room, storming over to her parents and brother as she commented on what that could mean. "You mean I have to sleep on the floor tonight?"

"We'll set up everything as soon as our stuff arrives, Collette." Tramp assured his daughter, who wasn't pleased.

"Ugh; fine. At least I won't have to deal with you or Scamp keeping me up all night." Collette complained, heading upstairs to find out where her room was. "Let me see which room I want."

After that, Danielle showed confusion as she asked about her mood. "What's wrong with the floor?"

"It's not somewhere a Princess would sleep." Scamp joked, and Danielle laughed at how true that statement was.

Later in the evening, Scamp was playing on his portable gaming device as Annette looked outside while contemplating the new living environment. She then looked at Scamp, who seemed to be enjoying himself the most. "At least one of us brought something that was small enough to fit in the van. Perhaps it would've been wise to buy that Rubiks Cube after all."

"Just don't make ME solve one of those things." Scamp requested, and then he beat the boss he was fighting and pumped his fist in joy. "Yes!" Just then, the doorbell rang, and Scamp paused the cutscene in his game to go answer it. "I've got it!" Scamp answered the door, and there was Oliver, along with his adopted fathers: A Sheepdog named Colonel, and a Tabby Cat named Tibbs. Scamp was already excited to meet them. "Hi there! You must be our new neighbors. I'm Scamp!"

Scamp held his paw out, and when Oliver grabbed it, he was the first to greet him. "Nice to meet you-" Just then, Scamp started shaking Oliver a little too hard, making him shake a bit as he said the last part of his name. "Ssssscaaaaamp."

Scamp then realized how hard he was shaking Oliver's hand and got worried. "Oh, sorry! Was that too much?"

"Not for me." Oliver assured Scamp, introducing himself as Tramp and Lady came downstairs. "My name's Oliver. Are you new in town too?"

"I sure am!" Scamp exclaimed as Tramp and Lady were coming downstairs. He then started asking Oliver a bunch of questions to get to know him. "How old are you, do you like video games, what's your favorite color, and do you wanna be friends?"

Oliver smiled as he answered Scamp's questions, taking a liking to his energy already. "Eleven, I love video games, blue, and sure."

Scamp couldn't contain his excitement, so when his parents were behind him, he instantly turned around and told them the news. "Mom; dad; I have a friend! I've never had a friend before!" Scamp then gained a look of realization and turned around as Lady signaled Annette, Collette, and Danielle to come over and meet the new neighbors. "What do friends do?"

Oliver shrugged, revealing that he wasn't all that familiar with friendships either. Colonel then introduced himself upon shaking Tramp's paw. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. My name's Colonel."

"And I'm Tibbs." Tibbs said as he shook Lady's paw, and then he revealed their other son, a Sheepdog named Mooch, who wasn't happy to be there. "Mooch, say hello."

Mooch scoffed before reluctantly introducing himself to Scamp and his family. "Hi."

Despite Mooch coming off somewhat hostile, Tramp was more than happy to continue the conversation. "It's great to meet you all. My name's Tramp."

"And my name's Lady." Lady said after, and then Tibbs offered her what looked like a casserole. She was pleased to find that their new neighbors were so pleasant. "Thank you! What is it?"

"Vegetarian casserole." Tibbs revealed. "We didn't want to assume dietary preferences, so we picked the safest option."

"I completely understand that." Lady responded, wrapping her free arm around Danielle as she expressed one relief of her parenthood. "And it's a good thing all four of my kids have the same diets."

The adults continued talking, and Tramp got an idea to help Scamp and Oliver get to know each other. "Scamp, I know our stuff hasn't come yet, but why don't you show Oliver your new room?"

Scamp showed delight in doing that, and Oliver saw that it could be a fun time. "That sounds cool."

"Yay for cool!" Scamp exclaimed before grabbing Oliver's paw and running upstairs with him. He was still as excited as could be to finally have a real friend. And Oliver couldn't get enough of Scamp's energy.

In Scamp's new room, he was currently telling Oliver about everything he'd put in his room, currently doing so with the window that showed the front yard. "And this is where I think I'm gonna put my bed. That way, I can wake up every day and look outside, and think about how beautiful this place is."

"Well I've been living here for about two days now, Scamp, and I can tell you that beautiful is a good word for it." Oliver informed Scamp happily.

"Dude, I loved the look of the town when I saw it." Scamp responded, pointing out something he saw as soon as he did. "I saw this really great looking burger place on the way over here. I can't wait to eat there!" Scamp then got distracted by the wall behind Oliver, as that was where he planned on putting another thing he owned. "Oh; and all of my gaming stuff is gonna go over there."

"Nice." Oliver said, and then he started thinking about what Scamp said before as the Terrier ran past him and over to the wall. As he started picturing how he'd set everything up, Oliver decided to ask Scamp about it. "So... did you mean what you said downstairs about never having friends before?"

Scamp was brought down a little by that question. He hesitated to answer for a few seconds, but after sighing, he spoke in a more despondent tone than before. "Yeah, I did. It was really hard for me to interact with anyone in my old town." Oliver walked up to Scamp after the Terrier started rubbing his arm. Despite how bubbly and energetic he was, it was clear that when it came to having friends, Scamp was anxious due to always lacking them. "Being an outcast is hard."

Oliver put a paw on Scamp's shoulder, catching his attention, and surprising him with what he said next. "I can't tell you why you were one. I know we just met, but I think you're great."

Scamp's smile said all that it needed to, leading to him instantly hugging Oliver. After pulling him away, he told him what he thought about him so far. "I think you're great too, Oliver." Oliver smiled back, glad that his positive feelings towards Scamp were mutual.

Later that night, Scamp was finishing up his third portion of the casserole Colonel and Tibbs brought over. As he was about to rush off, Lady pointed to his paper plate. "Ah ah ah. Trash can."

"Oh, right; sorry!" Scamp took his plate and threw it away, expressing how good that casserole was. And the fact that it was his third portion of food made it clear that he was a big eater. Especially with good food. "Don't take this the wrong way, mom, but I think Tibbs is waaaaay better at making vegetables taste good."

"It's probably because he mixed it with cheese and other stuff." Lady pointed out, kissing Scamp's cheek before he headed off. "You can go play now." Scamp rushed off with Lady calling over to him as he did. "And walk in the house please!" After that, she walked up to the fridge, which had a sticky note from the new neighbors. It read 'Welcome to Walton View!', just like the sign they passed when entering the town. Lady was glad to see that so far, the people in Walton View were as pleasant and friendly as they came. It helped to have good neighbors.

The next morning, Scamp and his siblings were getting ready for school; and since they brought their backpacks, they had all the school stuff they needed in there. They'd already managed to get breakfast, since Lady went to the store and picked up a few things for them to eat for now. Scamp was adjusting his hat in the mirror and looked at himself with a smile. He then started talking to himself about his chances. "Okay, Scamp. New school, new location, new everything. They don't know anything about you, and hopefully, they won't mess with you."

"Scamp!" Danielle called from the porch, being excited to see the new school. "Who're you talking to!?"

Scamp rushed past Danielle as he answered her question. "Just giving myself a little pep talk." Scamp made his way to the van, and then he saw Oliver heading over to Colonel and Tibbs' limo. He excitedly waved to him when he noticed his backpack. "Hey Oliver! Are you going to school too!?"

"Sure am!" Oliver called back, being excited to see what school was all about. "This is gonna be great!"

"You bet it is! I'll see you there!" Scamp assured Oliver, and then he got in after Danielle did, scoring his spot at the window seat.

When Scamp got in, Tramp addressed his fondness for Oliver. "Looks like you've already got a good start here, Scamp."

"I sure do. I hope Oliver and I have the same classes." Scamp replied, and then he expressed his joy in having a real friend. "Even if there are bad people here too, I know I'll be happy with him around."

"Just wait until he finds out it's your fault we had to move." Collette shot at Scamp, which he ignored as she complained about having to leave. "I was the Queen of our last school. Now I have to work my way up because you can't stand up for yourself."

"Collette, stop blaming Scamp for our move, okay?" Lady requested sternly form Collette. "We already told you. Your father accepted this promotion to give us ALL a better life. Not just Scamp."

Annette expressed annoyance over how this car ride would go after sighing. "I was correct to predict this car ride would involve uncompromising ego." Collette flipped Annette off with Scamp rocking side to side in his seat. This, understandably, got a request from Annette, despite her not looking up from her notes. "Please desist from your rocking, Scamp." Scamp obliged, instead prompting to pat his legs excitedly for when he got to school.

It only took a few minutes for Scamp and his family to get to the school in town: Fart School for the Gifted. There were quite a few kids outside, some of whom were already socializing with one another. One of them, a Pomeranian/Husky Mix with a crazy smile, was hiding a knife in her backpack. It said 'Don't touch assholes!' on it, making it clear what she wanted. One Dalmatian pup with a horseshoe spotted pattern was pushing his brother, a Dalmatian in a wheelchair who sported a black patch on his right eye, up the ramp as they talked about the new school year.

There were also a fox kit and a Bloodhound pup playing hide and seek. The Bloodhound tripped over a rock when looking for somewhere to hide. Scamp also saw Oliver stepping out of his limo. He couldn't wait to explore the new school with him.

Once Scamp got out of the car, he looked at the school with Lady and Tramp stepping out to wish their kids good luck in school. Lady hugged Annette and Danielle, and Tramp kissed Collette's forehead, which she didn't wipe off as one would expect. He then rubbed Scamp's head as he gave him some advice for the new school year. "You're gonna do great, whirlwind. Just do your best, make sure you're in with the right people, and only cheat if you think you can get away with it."

"Ahem!" Lady interrupted, catching Tramp's attention and making him chuckle a bit. "We love you all. Enjoy your first day of school!"

Scamp and his siblings said goodbye to their parents and said they loved them, and when Scamp's sisters all went towards the school, Scamp ran over to Oliver. "Oliver!" Tibbs and Colonel were already making their way into the building, having already said goodbye to Oliver and Mooch. That gave Scamp time to pair up with Oliver. "You wanna walk into school together?" Oliver nodded his head yes, and Scamp then noticed Mooch looking rather moody. He was concerned, hoping he was okay. "Mooch, right? Are you okay?"

"None of your beeswax!" Mooch informed Scamp rudely, and then he stormed off, leaving Scamp and Oliver to look at each other with concern before heading for the school building.

Once the two started walking towards the stairs, Scamp started to talk about what happened. "I guess you can't avoid people being dicks ALL the time." As the two were talking however, the bush they passed showed the butt of a Bloodhound pup, which led to Oliver being hit smack in the face with...

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT

...a loud and bassy ten second fart, causing his butt to vibrate as he hit Scamp and Oliver with a yellow cloud of rotten eggs and burnt bacon. Since Scamp was right next to Oliver, he was caught in the fart as well, causing them both to cough as Oliver gagged at how close he was to the scent. "Tod!?" The Bloodhound instantly turned around while blushing all over and profusely apologizing to Scamp and Oliver. "Oh my God; I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that!"

A fox kit's paw ended up tapping the Bloodhound's shoulder, making him flinch before looking to find the fox kit, most likely Tod giving a sly grin next to him. "Smelt ya."

The Bloodhound gave a nervous smile as Oliver assured him that he wouldn't hold it against him while his eyes watered from the smell. "It's no big deal."

"Yeah. My dad farts on us all the time." Scamp told the fox and Bloodhound, despite his eyes watering a bit too. "I think yours might smell worse though."

The Bloodhound put his ears over his eyes after saying that, which Scamp and Oliver were quick to notice. Tod took his paw as he informed the two of what he'd be doing. "Welp, Copper's morning pep had to come at some point. It's not your fault. He just didn't expect to take center stage just now. We'll see you around." Tod walked off with Copper, who was still ripe with embarrassment as Tod spoke to him. "So you farted on the new kids; it's natural. And they weren't even mad about it."

Scamp and Oliver couldn't help snickering a bit at the situation. It wasn't every day you got farted on right before school started.

Scamp and Oliver were using a nearby pond of water to clean themselves off before they arrived in the building. After making sure they covered every part of their body, they inspected each other to make sure they were set. "Okay, Oliver. You ready to shake?"

"As well as a cat can do!" Oliver answered, and then he shook with Scamp, leading to his fur becoming all poofy. The two of them laughed at the sight before they started walkin towards the school.

The two of them got to the front door, and when Scamp was about to step in, he stopped right before looking ahead. Oliver noticed this and stopped to wait for him. He could tell that a part of Scamp was nervous about his chances at fitting in here. Still, his moment of concern didn't last for long. He put on a cheerful smile and took his first step into the building. This was the start of his time in a new school. Oliver smiled when he saw him take that first step and walked with him. The two of them would take on their first time in this new place together.

A small Dalmatian was standing at a table handing out flyers to everyone. When Scamp and Oliver came up to the table, she greeted them and handed them the flyers. "Hello there! My name's Cadpig. Take these flyers, and you'll know where to go for the new school year orientation!"

"Oh, I know what that is!" Scamp exclaimed, remembering something like that from his old school. "That's where they tell you a bunch of stuff you'll probably never remember when you actually start going to classes!"

Cadpig looked at Scamp for a bit before seeing that he was serious about what he just said. "That's one thing, yes. It's also where you'll see who your homeroom teacher will be, and get your class schedule for the year."

Oliver wasn't familiar with having a school schedule, which prompted his question. "And how many classes will that be?"

"Six. And before you ask, yes, P.E. is mandatory." Cadpig informed Oliver bluntly, and then she pointed to the statue she set up next to her. "Also, if you want to vote for President early, pick someone like me, who knows what this school needs to be as great as it can be!"

Scamp got a good look at the statue before showing concern for Cadpig. "Good luck running against my sister Collette. She just transferred here with us, and she'll do everything to get what she wants; especially popularity."

"That's the best part. I don't care about that." Cadpig informed Scamp, showing that her priority was the school. "Nothing's gonna be corrupt about MY campaign." That got her to start thinking when she realized she didn't have a lot planned out yet. "At least I don't think so. Gah, why couldn't I have had Lucky's ability to plan out stuff in an instant? His plans were crazy, but at least they were quick."

Seeing how in the zone Cadpig was with her thoughts, Scamp and Oliver decided to let her be and head to where they needed to go. The fliers they had said they should go to the auditorium. This also doubled as the inside part of the P.E. room. Scamp saw a chance to help Oliver and told him what he knew about P.E.. "I forget what it stands for, but the teacher will want you to move around a lot so you'll sweat. A lot."

"Um... thanks." Oliver said confusedly, not really getting what Scamp meant.

In the auditorium, Scamp and Oliver managed to land themselves two spot in the front row. There, the Principal of the school, a grown up deer known as G.P., was informing the class of what he expected from them during this school year. "And I expect all of you to do your best to make this school year the best that it can be. And we will be on the lookout for any bullying in the school." Scamp and Oliver fist bumped after hearing that. "Now then. All of you can come up here and get your class schedules. Try not to push each other on the way up here."

Scamp and Oliver did the same as the rest of the school, and they managed to get up to the table first. Colonel and Tibbs were there, intriguing Scamp by their presence. "I didn't know you two worked here."

"Colonel and I love helping young minds blossom." Tibbs expressed, and then he handed Oliver his schedule.

Colonel handed Scamp his schedule as well as he filled them in on their little move. "We couldn't get you in the same classes for EVERY period, but we managed to squeeze in a little something special." Scamp and Oliver got a good look at their schedules and saw that they both had Colonel for homeroom. They were both excited, and their smiles to each other showed it.

Scamp then saw the table next to them and showed curiosity as more people started signing stuff on it. "What's that?"

"That's the school activity table." Tibbs explained, glad to see that Scamp was taking an interest. "The two of you might find something you find fun on there, and this can let you do it after school."

"Yay for fun stuff!" Scamp exclaimed, heading over to the table with Oliver as they thanked Colonel and Tibbs. "We'll go check that out. And thanks for putting us in the same homeroom."

"Our pleasure." Colonel assured Scamp, glad that Scamp and Oliver were getting along so well.

Scamp and Oliver arrived at the table with Scamp looking over every sign up sheet they had to offer. "Wow. There's so much stuff here! Baseball, choir, track, they thought of everything!"

"Everything except video games." The horseshoe spotted Dalmatian joked while standing next to Scamp, and then he signed up for Variety of Music club. "You two would get your asses kicked by me in that category."

"You play video games too?" Scamp asked, becoming curious about the Dalmatian's skill set. "What kinds do you play?"

"Platformers, hack n slashes, open world games, I basically do them all." The Dalmatian answered, glad to find someone in Middle School who liked video games like him. "How about you?"

"Mostly the same." Scamp answered, laughing a bit as he admitted to something else. "Except I'm not the best at staying on task."

"Ha! I can relate." The Dalmatian admitted, knowing what it was like to get sidetracked by something in a game.

The Dalmatian in a wheelchair from earlier signed up for the cartooning club next to Oliver, and he noticed Oliver looking at him. "I'll be quick. Thankfully, the paws I write with work."

Oliver tried to avoid laughing at the joke so he wouldn't come off as rude. After that, he admitted that he wasn't interested in drawing. "Thanks, but I'm more of a writer myself." He then pulled out his notebook to prove his point. "I was hoping to expand from my notebook and start doing real stories one day. Creating my own stories has always been on my mind ever since I first picked up a pencil."

The Dalmatian handed Oliver the paper for a writing club he felt he could get some help in. However, he smirked as he gave Oliver some advice. "You'd better start fast if you want people to like your work. And maybe get used to a computer. With the exception of flawed WIFI moments, it's much more convenient than risking a hand cramp with a pencil and paper."

Oliver seemed a little put off by the Dalmatian's know it all tone, but he shrugged it off since he was trying to help. "Thanks for the tips."

The Horseshoe spotted Dalmatian then remembered the time and took the other Dalmatian's wheelchair to get them moving. "We gotta run, Patch! It's almost lunch time!"

"Food isn't exactly capable of running, Lucky!" Patch exclaimed as Lucky continued to rush off to the cafeteria.

"They seemed nice." Scamp got a look at one sheet and picked it up, having it catch his attention when he saw the basketball. He instantly got excited to give it a shot. "Oh yeah; basketball! I've always wanted to try that out."

"You can handle that yourself, thanks. I'm not fit for sports." Oliver informed Scamp, who gave him a thumbs up to show that he got it.

After eating their lunch, Scamp and Oliver were out in the schoolyard as Scamp expressed his excitement to start playing basketball. "And since this is a part of a real club in the school, there's no way they should be allowed to keep me from playing!"

"That does make sense." Oliver responded, and then he had something in mind for Scamp after making sure he didn't have anything else to say right away. "Speaking of actually playing the game, I hope you have a plan to at least learn the basics of basketball so you know how to play with the other members."

Scamp gasped in shock before admitting that doing so never crossed his mind. "I hadn't even considered that."

Oliver saw the basketball court and gestured Scamp towards it to see what he could learn there. "They have a basketball court. Maybe you can practice there."

"Yeah. Good thinking, Oliver." Scamp replied gratefully, and when he got a look himself, he noticed the Pomeranian with the backpack message getting herself ready with a basketball of her own. After she started dribbling it, Scamp smiled and headed over with Oliver. As they did, the Pomeranian pumped her fist after landing a three pointer.

Scamp saw the Pomeranian walk towards her ball and pick it up, and he and Oliver weren't really sure how to start the conversation. So the Pomeranian did herself while giving a sly grin to Scamp and Oliver. "So do either of you wanna play with the ball, or just gawk at it?"

Scamp and Oliver looked at each other with uncertainty with how to respond. Scamp decided to say the first word so this didn't get too confusing for the Pomeranian. "We have to play with it to play the game, right?"

The Pomeranian liked that answer and walked up to Scamp and Oliver, handing Scamp the ball and pressing it against his chest. "You know how to play?"

"No, not really." Scamp admitted, hoping that wouldn't be an issue for the Pomeranian. "But I signed up for the school Basketball team because I thought it would be fun. You seemed to know what you were doing, so I thought you wouldn't mind helping me learn."

The Pomeranian observed the way Scamp was holding the basketball. He had his paws in the right places, so that checked out. "You're holding the ball well enough. Get onto the court and I'll see how you throw."

Scamp did as instructed and stood in front of the hoop the Pomeranian was shooting in front of. "So do I just, throw it up there like you did?"

"Yeah, but you gotta make sure you aim it right. And use force, but not too much force." The Pomeranian advised, and so Scamp made his aim and aimed for the hoop. He didn't use quite enough force however, which led to the ball bouncing off of the hoop and then off of his head.

The ball bounced towards the Pomeranian as Oliver checked up on Scamp. "Are you okay, Scamp?"

"Yeah, I'm good." Scamp assured Oliver, knowing he could've taken that any day of the week. "I've had wipeouts that hurt more than that."

"Basketballs aren't as hard as they seem when holding them." The Pomeranian informed Scamp and Oliver, and then she let Oliver hold it to see for himself. "See?"

Oliver got a good grip on the basketball as Scamp walked over to him and the Pomeranian. It wasn't very soft, but it also had a bit of a hard feel to it. Still, Angel was right. It seemed like something easy to rebound from. "It feels rough. But also kinda light."

The Pomeranian then told Scamp something she felt he should know before the day was over. "You coming over here is one hell of a coincidence. I signed up for the basketball team too."

"You did!?" Scamp asked in surprise, and the Pomeranian gave a sly grin and eyebrow raise with Scamp then correcting himself. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I've just never really talked to a girl who likes sports before."

"It's more common than you think." The Pomeranian responded, and then she offered her paw to Scamp. "My name's Angel."

Scamp happily accepted, being glad to meet a girl who was willing to talk to him. That was TWO kids his age now. "I'm Scamp."

Angel then offered her paw to Oliver, who gave her a free paw to accept her paw shake. "And I'm Oliver."

Scamp wanted to make sure he knew one thing for certain before he and Angel continued. "We'll probably be talking a lot since we're on the same team."

"I can live with that. You look like someone who could handle the mosh pit." Angel admitted, and Scamp smiled, despite not knowing what a mosh pit was. Not just because he could get help with his basketball skills, but also because he already knew someone on the team who didn't mind his company.

Later on, Scamp and Oliver were talking by the steps of school as they saw Angel flipping a pocket knife in her paw, showing a bit of skill with it. During this time, one of the teachers, a female Irish Setter, warned her after catching it and closing it for her. "Keep this off of school grounds, Angel. I don't want anyone to get injured."

"I know, I know." Angel assured the Setter, who walked off as Angel put the knife into her backpack.

Just then, Mooch came up next to Scamp and Oliver while grabbing the latter's chest, shocking them both. "Listen up, Oliver. I run things around here. And if you mess with me-"

Scamp's instincts kicked in, and he ended up doing something he never thought he had in him before. "Leave him alone, Mooch!" Scamp was surprised by what he just did. He'd never stood up to a bully before.

Mooch let go of Oliver and looked right at Scamp, walking up to him as Oliver watched in concern. "What'd you just say, Damp?"

"I said, leave. Him. Alone." Scamp demanded, and as Mooch looked into his determined eyes for a few seconds, he saw that he was serious.

Mooch couldn't help snickering before he told Scamp what he felt he needed to hear. "Listen here, loser. I'm in charge in this lame-ass school. You'd better stay in your lane."

"Boys." The setter from before said sternly, and her stern expression made them stop then and there.

Mooch walked past Scamp while intentionally bumping into him, leaving Scamp to contemplate what he just did there. Oliver stepped over to him to thank him for his good deed. "Thanks, Scamp. That was, really good of you."

"I didn't plan on doing that actually. I just kind of, reacted." Scamp admitted, and then he smiled at how good it made him feel. "I kind of like it."

"Well, don't let it go to your head." Oliver advised, and then he and Scamp continued to sit together on the school steps.

Just then, Lady parked in front of the school, so Scamp knew it was time for him and his sisters to leave. His sisters were all in their own spots and were also headed to the car. "That's my ride. I'll see you later, Oliver."

"See ya later, Scamp." Oliver responded, and he watched Scamp run over to the van.

Lady noticed Scamp in a concerned mood and spoke to him to find out what it was. "Are you okay, Scamp? Did you have a bad day?"

"No, it was okay. The school here seems really nice so far." Scamp then noticed Mooch sitting on the curb. After he flipped him off, Scamp looked back at his mother with concern. "I'm just worried about Oliver. Mooch got in his face just now, and I'm worried he's gonna hurt him."

"I'm sure Colonel and Tibbs do what they can to keep Oliver safe." Lady assured Scamp, showing that she felt his concerns, and Scamp felt a sense of relief upon hearing that. And so far, his time here was mostly positive, which was a good sign for him, as it meant he would be able to adjust to his new life quite easily. Or at least he thought so. A part of him wondered if things were going to get harder later down the road.

To be continued.
