Chapter three:

Me and the kids had a great time at the park. I got to hear them talk about all that they are going to tell their friends at school, then about how their friends were so jealous about their trip, which made me warmly chuckle.

Daiki has been in a pretty happy mood lately. He must have gotten a really good deal out of that meeting though he has only told me that they are combing out the finer details. He did promise to tell me more about the agreement once that was all done so I left it alone.

I am just happy that he is pretty happy about things are going. I've just noticed a few other changes in him that make me wonder if there is something else that he isn't telling me.

Daiki hasn't been very interested in sex lately. He has been more focused on his work only saying that it is smoothing out the finer details of the deal. He even left a movie night with me and the kids to take a work call. He even has mentioned how he is planning to send us on another trip to celebrate.

I glance to him as we are laying in bed before either of us fall asleep. "Hey. Honey?"

"Hm?" Daiki turns to look to me allowing our eyes to meet one another. "You look troubled." He shifts onto his side slightly sitting up. "What is on your mind my love?"

I watch him wanting to see his response. "I am happy that you are happy. I really am. I just have been wondering if there is something else. You have been so distant lately." I blink as he places a hand on my cheek.

"Oh darling. I am so sorry that things have gotten so busy that I haven't had as much time for you and the kids as usual." Daiki does sound a little regretful about it. He strokes my cheek lovingly. "Just know that I do still love you and those kids. This is just a really important deal for me." He blinks as if getting an idea. "How about this. Once the finer details of the deal are combed out then all of us, including me, will go on a trip together. No work calls or messages. Just a family vacation focusing on having a good time as a family. This probably won't take longer than one more month to get things all dealt with. So I'll plan it for either late next month or early the month after that. Do you like the sound of that?"

I honestly do as it does make me feel a little more soothed that there really isn't anything else that he isn't telling me. "Yeah." I smile softly and place a loving hand over his on my cheek. "I would like that."

"Then it is a plan. Think about where you would like to go and I will make your dreams a reality." Daiki places a loving kiss on my lips that I return. "For tonight though let us get some sleep."

"Okay. Goodnight."

"Goodnight my beloved."

We settle down for sleep this time with Daiki holding me close and I fall asleep pretty quickly feeling so loved.

It is the middle of the month and I watch as the kids get into the limo to head on a small just few day trip.

I glance to Daiki who is staying behind to finish the details of the deal. "Are you sure that you don't want to come with us?"

Daiki kisses my cheek before smiling at me. "I'm sure. I want to get the details of this deal figured out so that way it'll be sooner that we can do a full family vacation. I just am so glad with how things are going I want to spoil you guys with small trips at least. Even though I can't really join you three unless I want to take longer on figuring all of this out. Besides I one time read online that sometimes spoiling kids with trips even small ones can be really good for them. They'll certainly have a lot to tell their friends again when they get back. I'll make sure to try to not spoil them with too many trips. Their education is important. This is also for you so the time when I am figuring out the finer details of this wonderful deal will pass by quicker. Or so I hope it does."

I smile at this. I give him a loving kiss on his cheek. "Thank you. I appreciate this even though you didn't have to do this." I share a small nuzzle with him.

"I know I didn't have to. I just want to." Daiki chuckles a little then we pull apart.

"Papa Kaoru are you coming?" Rowan leans out of the limo to call me.

"Now go ahead. The kids are waiting for you." Daiki nudges me and after a shared hug I do head to the limo so we can go. He watches us go and I still see him watching then I lose sight of him.

Daiki turns heading into the mansion. "Time to get things ready for the special guest." He smirks a little to himself. "This will be fun."

Just a little later the lady is sitting on the couch next to Daiki with her body leaning towards him though he is just sitting there with his arms across the back of the couch. "So. There is one last step before I can agree to the deal we have agreed upon. I think you know what that is handsome."

Daiki lets out a slight rumble which sends pleasured shivers go through the lady. "Oh I know very well. I have gotten things set up already." He has even made sure none of the staff will find out that this is even happening. He takes the lady's hand getting up with her following. "Come with me beautiful." He invites the woman leading her elsewhere in the mansion of his with the lady blushing as they go.

Hikaru doesn't want to tell Kaoru though he is starting to worry that there really is something going on with Daiki. He doesn't want to start making Kaoru worry since he has no proof. His gut feeling just says that Daiki has some sort of plan with getting Kaoru and the kids out of the house. He shakes himself telling himself that surely that isn't the case. He was told about how Daiki promised a full family trip with no business and so they can focus on family. He figures that he must just be overreacting to Daiki just spoiling his family. He will just be happy that things are going so well for Kaoru.
