One week untill sommer break.
Pacifica was jumpy.
First, because the twins will come back soon, but second because of a contest, which she is partaking in.
She is a participant at LITTLE MISS PLUS-SIZE OREGON.
„I can win this!", she said to Susan.
„Of course you can, sweety!", Susan answered.
„And this time i win for MYSELF, not my parents!", Pacifica added.
„That's the right spirit!", Susan smiled.
Candy, Granda and Wendy were sitting in the audience.
„I never thought, i would see Paz at such a contest!", Wendy said.
„WHAT DO YOU MEAN WITH THAT?", Granda asked, a little peeved.
„What? No! Not what you might think!", Wendy answered shocked.
„I HOPE SO! OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE REALLY MEAN!", Granda said.
„I would NEVER say something like that! And i never laughed at thick people! That is really NOT my style!", Wendy said fearful.
Wendy was tough and stronger than she looks, but she is afraid of Granda's strength.
„The beauty of a human being is not defined by it's girth!", Candy said. „Thin people are NOT automatically beautiful, only because they are thin! And thick people are NOT automatically ugly, only because they are thick!"
„Yes...guys, i also see it that way!", Wendy said desperately. „I think Paz will rock the house!"
„PACIFICA IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE COUNTRY!", Granda said.
Wendy nodded and hoped, she has not fallen in disgrace of the other girls.
„Please don't look so sad, Wendy! Everyone can trip over one's tongue sometimes!", Candy said.
„Thanks, Candy!", Wendy smiled.
Granda sighed, but then took Wendy into a bone-crashing bear-hug.
„Ouch! Uhm...Granda, i'm glad you're fogiving me, but please, let me loose!", Wendy moaned.
„OKAY!", Granda answered and opened the hug.
„Phew! Thanks!", Wendy said relieved.
Meanwhile at the Gravity Falls Bank the computers were going nuts.
The manager of the bank has called the police, but of course only Burbs and Durland were coming.
„What do you expect from us?", Blubs asked, „We are no computer experts!"
„What are you capable of, anyway?!", the manager asked in exasperation.
„Hey, stop or i arrest you for insultung a police officer!", Durland bitched.
„Keep calm, buddy!", Blubs said to him.
„Are doing something now or what?", the manager asked.
„You can complaint against unknown, if you want. There is noting more we can do!", Blubs answered.
„Fine...than please leave this building now, we have a lot to repair and you are on other ways!", the manager groused.
„Okay, okay, like you wish!" Blubs said and pulled Durland out with him.
„What a dirtbag!", Durland shouted.
„Yes, some people are not able to appreciate good old quality police work!", Blubs added.
But back to the contest!
After her performance Pacifica was quite sure, she is about to win.
„The other participants are not bad, but i have given everything!" she said to Susan.
At the audience the other girls were waiting for the final announcement.
„Wow, Pacifica really looked adorable in that gown and i normally are not into girly stuff!", Wendy said.
„I TOLD YOU SO!", Granda said.
After a little break the winners were anounced.
And indeed, Pacifica managed to win the contest. But her lead was very small.
But she did not care about that.
She was very happy about her win.
Finally she could win something she was NOT pushed into by her parents.
She was really was proud of herself.
„Thank you so much! This means a lot to me!", she spoke to the audience.
And it really came from her heart!
She did not felt superior against the others.
She did not bear a grudge against them.
She discarded such feelings a long time ago.
She took the robbon and the flowers and left the catwalk.
On the floor Susan and the girls were awaiting her and jubilated.
„I KNEW YOU CAN DO IT!", Granda shouted.
„Congratulations!", Candy said politely.
„Terrific!", Wendy said.
„Good job, sweety!", Susan said.
Pacifica was abashed and answered: „Uhm...hehe...thanks guys! I want to be honest, i really thought i would barely reach 3rd place!"
The others looked at her perplexed.
„And it would have been okay!", Pacifica added, „I only would have been sad, if i had totally lost the contest!"
„But you showed all!", Wendy said.
„RIGHT!", Granda added.
„Why did you think so, Pacifica?", Candy asked.
„Well…", Pacifica answered, „...after leaving my parents, my self-view changed. And do not mean the weight gain. My face and hair are still the same. But i don't feel superior over other people anymore! I would have granted the other girls to win the contest! Do you know, what i mean?"
„Yes, i do understand, what you mean!", Susan said and hugged her.
Wendy, Canda and Granda smiled.
„Can you imagine, how relieving that is for me?", Pacifica asked them all, „And this realisation leads me to hate my old self and my parents even more!"
„Oh Pacifica, i am so pround of you and your development!", Candy said.
Pacifica smiled and answered: „Without you all i would not be here now! You could have left me crying on the bench back then and i would have understood it. But you stood on my side and i am so grateful for it! Thank you so much!"
A grouphug followed and they were going to the diner to celebrate Pacifica's win.
