Even after a week, it still felt strange to Naruto. He had been raised, no grown up, in a very small and run down apartment, but now, he was rich and owned a compound and dozens of building that were in an old Japanese design. He had a library that belonged to his clan and a study; he had an indoor training ground and one outside, the other buildings that were meant for people of the branch family, they were all smaller versions of the master house.
He had add one thing to the compound, it was designed like a dog kennel, but modified for his ninja foxes that he had learned to train over the past four years. But even with all those foxes, he still felt lonely.
'Maybe eating at the barbecue will cheer me up,' thought Naruto. He pick up his cloak, heading out the front door into the night air.
"Don't worry Sakura," said Ino, "I am sure you'll find that man again."
"I'm not so sure Ino," said Sakura as she ate some more barbecue meat, "He could have been a passing merchant or something."
"I don't think so Sakura, you didn't forget his muscles, right? He has to be a ninja, and the only ninja allowed in this village are Leaf and Sand," said Ino. Sakura had forgotten about the mystery man's muscles, they along with the rest of the man that had filled her dreams for the past couple of days.
Ino suddenly grabbed her hand, "Sakura look out the window."
Sakura looked out the window to see the stranger. His blonde looked as if it glowed in the setting sun's fading light, his blue eyes looked as if they actually glowed. She thanked Kami when she saw the leaf hiate-ate above those glowing eyes. She watched him as he entered the restaurant and sat down in a booth right across from them and ordered food.
"Sakura are you just going to stare or are you going to go talk to him," whispered Ino, unaware that Naruto could hear their every word, he could hear Sakura's heart skip a beat went he entered.
"Forehead girl, if you don't snap out of it soon you're going to miss your chance with him," said Ino.
"Act now," yelled inner Sakura as outer Sakura stood up and walked towards the man.
"Hello there," said Sakura in a silky voice.
"I was wondering when you would listen to Ino and come speak to me Sakura," said the man calmly.
'How does he know my name,' thought Sakura as she sat down with an incredulous look on her face, then spoke, "Who are you?"
"So you don't remember me?" asked the man, to which Sakura shook her head.
"We've met before?" questioned Sakura.
"Of course, and I'm not just talking about the time you and Ino were spying on me while I was in the bath house," said the blonde.
"Crap he saw us," yelled inner Sakura.
"Sorry for spying on you," Sakura said as she lowered her head in shame, 'I bet he hates me now and I haven't even learned his name.'
"Don't be, my sensei peps on women all the time. If I hated you for doing that, then I would he murdered him for doing that his whole life. Besides, I'm glad you were the one spying on my," said the man with a smirk, causing Sakura to blush a little.
"Thank god," said inner Sakura, "I thought we lost this specimen of a man."
"Sakura, can I ask a something of you and Ino," said the man.
"Depends on what it is," respond Sakura.
"I'm having a house warming party at my house at 5 ok, I invite you and the rest of the rookie twelve to my house," said said the blonde mystery.
"Ok, but they are going to want to know who's party they are welcome to," said Sakura as the blonde began to chuckle.
"You still haven't figure out who I am Sakura-chan," when the man she chan, Sakura blinked. no one called her Sakura-chan except Lee, but he was an idiot, then the man continued, "We were on the same genin squad, perhaps that will jog your memory." Sakura's eyes widened. Now that she thought about it his whiskers, though not as visible as before, were very familiar.
"Naruto?" Sakura questioned aloud, 'No way this hunk is Naruto.'
"Still as smart as ever, eh Sakura-chan," Naruto smirked, "I am back."
"I see," was the only response that came out of Sakura's mouth as her brain tried to process the information she was just give.
"Well, I'm sorry about this Sakura, but I have to get going. Ask Sasuke to lead you and the others to my home," said Naruto as he stood up, "Here, let me pay for your and Ino's meal," he added as he started to walk to the counter and payed for all three of them.
In a second Ino was by her side, "Soooooo, who was she?" she asked in a excited voice.
"Naruto," Sakura said simply, Ino's eyes widened..
"Naruto, you mean your's and Sasuke-kun's teammate who had a crush on you for as long as I can remember, are you sure it was that Naruto?" asked Ino.
"Yes," said Sakura, "And he wants us to get everyoine together for a house warming party at his new place."
"Where does he live?" questioned Ino.
"Only Sasuke knows," said Sakura.
"Well, I told you you'll would see you again," Ino then smiled.
