Nokia grumbled as she and the others crawled into the small drainage ditch. "Ew, ew, ew, ew! I don't even wanna know what we're crawling in right now! And there's barley any room in here!"
"Stop complaining Nokia." Ami replied from in front of her. "This is the only way to save Takumi and Yuuko. All we can do is grin and bear it."
"How can you be so accepting about stuff like this?" Nokia asked. "Just sneaking in here is making me nervous… and this… whatever it is we're in is making me sick."
"I guess I'm just used to it by now."
"Look, this chat is fine and all, but can we keep it moving?" Arata asked from in front of Ami. "The shorter our stay is the better."
"Fine." Nokia groaned. "But whoever's behind me right now better not be staring at my butt!"
"That's me." Fei replied. "And believe me, it's the last thing I want in my sight right now."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means keep moving so we can get out of here and I won't have your ass in my face ya frumpy brat!"
"So, you *are* staring at it!"
Keisuke sighed from the very back of the line. "I don't think she's doing it by choice."
"Ladies, in case you're both new to this, the point of infiltration is being quiet!" Arata said. "Now zip it and let's go!"
"Hey, it's not my fault she's cranky." Nokia grumbled. "Probably feeling insecure since Yuugo's the one behind her and getting a good look at her."
"Wha- Fei's face reddened.
"What?!" Yuugo blushed. "I'm not looking at-I mean it's not like I'm doing it on purpose, I- Yuugo was only now aware of his position behind Fei meant. And that just made this crawl through the tight space all the more awkward. "…I'm just going to stop talking and close my eyes now."
Fei's face was even redder, wishing she could look behind her. "Yeah. Thanks. Do that."
Arata looked ahead. "I see the way out. Seriously, be quiet this time." Arata slowly crawled to the end of the pipe and looked around. He climbed out into a larger area that linked up the waterways. He helped Ami out before Nokia, Fei and Yuugo followed. Still having his eyes closed the boy tumbled out awkwardly. Fei helped him up as Keisuke crawled out. Now that there was space the Digimon with them emerged from their Digivices. "Let's split up from here." Arata looked up. Water was pouting out of a hole above. "I'll see where this leads. According to Mirei, the signal jammer is upstairs. If I take it out, we can contact the city and use our program to send any Digimon we find back there."
"Okay." Ami looked at a door nearby. "I'll head left."
"I'm going north." Yuugo said looking at a large pathway ahead of him.
"I'll go right." Fei said noticing a grate.
Keisuke noticed a tunnel below them. "I'll go see where this tunnel leads."
"Then I'll see what's over there!" Nokia said pointing to a doorway. "Come on boys!" She started running ahead.
"Nokia, be careful!" Ami said as Omegamon, Gundramon and MaganaKidmon ran after her.
"Don't worry, I got this!"
"Take this seriously!" Arata said. "If you get caught-
"Oh, lay off geek boy, I can handle myself!"
Arata sighed as Nokia ran out of sight. "Why do I even bother?"
"Remember, save everyone you can." Keisuke said. "But once we save Takumi, Yuuko, Darcmon, and BeelStarmon we should go. We don't want to stick around for when they call in the big guns." Fei, Arata and Yuugo nodded.
"Let's get going." Rapidmon Armor said. "We need to find Takumi before-
Ami was thrown off when he stopped midsentence. "Rapidmon? What's wrong?"
Rapidmon looked at his arms. "I feel… funny…"
"Same here…" Dorugoramon said. The two of them and BlackWarGreymon started glowing.
"What's happening?" BlackWarGreymon asked.
"Guys?!" Ami gasped as her brother's Digimon shined. "What's happening to you?!"
"I don't know!" Rapidmon Armor said. "Is this some kind of- The three of them disappeared in a burst of light.
"What just happened?!" Rosemon Burst Mode asked.
"It looked like they were… transported elsewhere…" Samudramon said. "Does this mean our enemy knows we're here?"
"Great." Fei groaned. "Now we have to rescue them too…"
"Then we better get moving. Stay safe everyone." Keisuke said. He jumped over the railing and TyrantKabuterimon caught him by his hood to slowly lower him towards the tunnel. The rest of the group broke off as well.
Takumi was still suspended off the floor wrapped in DigiLatex. His head was slackened as he was attempting to fall asleep despite his awkward position. Just when he was finally about to drift off his Digivice started beeping. "Hmm?" Light poured out of the lenses and his Digimon formed in front of him.
-trap?" Rapidmon Armor blinked. "What just…?"
"Where are we?" BlackWarGreymon asked. "How did-
"Guys!"
They three gasped upon hearing Takumi's voice and turned around to see their partner trapped behind them. "Takumi!" They hurried over to his side.
"Man, I'm glad to see you."
"Right back at you." Dorugoramon replied. "Are you alright?"
"I've had better days." Takumi sighed. "Can you guys get me out of this?"
Rapidmon Armor tampered with the terminal. The humming of the device around Takumi stopped and his feet touched the floor, but he couldn't stand with the DigiLatex wrapped around them and toppled forward. Fortunately, Rapidmon caught him. "Hold still." BlackWarGryemon said pointing his claws out. He carefully tore the collar on Takumi's neck apart. From there Dorugoramon was able to rip the DigiLatex off his body.
"Thanks." Takumi said standing up.
"Did they hurt you?" Dorugoramon asked.
"They hurt my dignity, does that count?" Takumi asked as he started stretching.
"How did we get teleported to Takumi?" Dorugoramon asked. "I'm grateful to see he's unharmed but…"
"Brother Sorrow's Digimon put something in my Digivice that they said would send you guys to me." Takumi replied.
"How generous of him. What's he playing at?" BlackWarGreymon asked before the cell door opened automatically. "What the…?"
Takumi put on his goggles. It showed a schematic of the building, a blinking dot representing his location and another representing what he assumed was the destination on a floor above them. "Brother Sorrow's waiting for us. I think he wants to challenge us to a fair fight."
"I thought he was after Yuuko." Rapidmon Armor said. "And given what he did to Fei to turn her against us I would not think him a man of honor."
"Whatever." BlackWarGreymon scoffed. "I say we just let him stew and take our leave."
"No." Takumi replied. "They warned me that they're watching me at all times and they're threatening to kill Yuuko if I try to leave here or contact anyone."
"Shit."
"So, we've got no choice but to play along with his game." Dorugoramon said.
"We're being watched. But they've been focused on Takumi so they must not know the others are here." Rapidmon thought for a moment. "Takumi." He gestured to his partner to come closer so he could whisper into his ear. "Ami, Nokia, Yuugo, Arata, Keisuke, and Fei are here. Just before we were transported to you, we successfully infiltrated the keep."
"Is anybody else here?"
"Sayo and Koh are outside with an army raising hell at the front gate." BlackWarGreymon whispered.
"I see…" Takumi nodded.
"There's more." Dorugoramon whispered. "You and Ami were right. Our Darcmon wasn't Darcmon, but a Next Order agent disguised as her."
"I knew it."
"Because of them Crusadermon got away with Baihumon's Digicore." Rapidmon Armor explained.
"Damn… now the Next Order has them all."
"Not exactly. Before kicking the bucket, the spy revealed that they still haven't taken out the one Darcmon has." BlackWarGreymon whispered. "And this place, Extinguish Keep, is the Next Order's biggest prison. She might be here as well."
"I see…" Takumi murmured. "…Does the Next Order know the others are here?"
"I don't think so." Dorugoramon replied.
"In that case, we'll play along with Brother Sorrow's game for now. He's too dangerous to everyone to let him know they're here. If it's me he's focused on, we can draw his attention while Ami and the others find Yuuko and Darcmon."
"Alright." Rapidmon Armor said. "Lead the way."
"This is our chance to find out who he really is and take him down." BlackWarGreymon said. "I'm ready." Takumi's Digimon followed him out of the cell.
Crusadermon was sitting in a chair looking at the monitor showing Takumi and his Digimon leaving the room. She held down a button. "Brother Sorrow, Takumi's Digimon have reached him and they're heading your way now."
"Good."
"But they were discussing something before they left. I couldn't make it out because they were whispering. They might be plotting something."
"No matter. There's no way their friends could have found this place. Whatever they plan won't change what's going to happen to them."
"Indeed. In any case, if you're ready I think it's my turn to pay Yuuko a visit." Crusadermon stood up.
In another room a Giromon was relaxing in a chair in front of a series of monitors and controls. Arata and Diaboromon were leaning against a wall peering into the room. "That must be the warden. Looks like we're in the right place." Diaboromon said.
"Yup. Alright pal, you know what to do."
"Sir, the attack has reached the front gate!" a voice on the radio said.
"Yeah, yeah, relax, they'll never break through the gates. Just keep firing cannons at them." Giromon stretched out and yawned. "Ah, did I ever score the best job in the Next Order. I get good pay and authority and can beat up all the prisoners I want! Best part is I don't actually have to do any work! Nobody will ever break into these walls!"
"But why break into the wall when the holes have already been provided?" Arata grinned.
Giromon turned around with a start. "Who the hell are you?!"
Diaboromon stretched his arm into the enemy piercing him and threw him into a wall before he dissipated. "You're up partner!"
Arata ran up and started tampering with the machines in front of him. "This is Arata, Cache City, come in!"
"We read you Arata." Mameo replied. "You got the signal jammer down?"
"Yeah. I'm going to open the front gates for Sayo and the others then join in the search for our friends."
"Teleporter is standing by." Hudiemon said. "Use the program to send any prisoners our way."
Sayo, Koh and their army were right in front a of a giant metal gate lined with cannons that fired at them with blue lasers. Mercurymon deflected one with his shield. One blasted the ground near GrapLeomon and Dinohumon knocking them down. "Protect Wave!" Sistermon Blanc protected them from more shots.
"We can't keep this up forever!" Koh said.
"Ami and the others won't let us down!" Sayo replied." Just whether the storm for a bit longer!"
On top of the walls a black and a white PawnChessmon were looking down. "Those guys should just run. They'll never make it past these walls."
The cannons started charging again. "Brace yourselves!" Koh shouted.
Just when they were about to fire they powered down and the gates started to open. "What?!" the black PawnChessmon gapped. "Why are the gates opening?!"
"Oh, no…" the white one gulped.
"They did it." Sayo smiled. "All right everyone! Charge though!" She and Koh led their army as they plowed through the gates.
Arata backed away from all the machinery his Digimon destroyed. "Alright, that'll keep them from closing the gates or reactivating the signal jammer… next on the agenda, time to find Takumi, Yuuko, and Darcmon! Come on Diaboromon!" He ran out of the room with his partner.
Yuuko was still dangling upside-down in her DigiLatex wrapping. The position was making her dizzy. But the dizziness wasn't what occupied her mind. It was what Kiryu said to her. All of it. 'I should have known… known that he would keep the vow he made that day… known his hatred wouldn't ease even with the change in reality… but most of all… I should have known better… if it weren't for what I did that day… and what I said to him afterwards… and now… Takumi is going to suffer for my mistakes…again.' Suddenly the door opened. Yuuko looked ahead with a start. Someone was coming in. It was difficult to make out who the upside-down figure was at first, but then she made it out and glared. "Crusadermon."
"Yuuko." The Royal Knight went to the device and adjusted Yuuko so she was right side up again. "Tell me… how was your little reunion with Kiryu Tenjo?"
"You restored his memories, didn't you?"
"Indeed. As Rei Keshibi, I kept a close eye on all of your little fools in Zaxon. I knew about your little "secret weapons" and how you discarded one resulting in the rage of the other. I dare say the boy might actually hate you even more than I do."
"Kiryu said you told him something regarding Takumi. What was it?" Yuuko demanded.
"What did I tell him?" Crusadermon laughed. "The truth of course."
"Somehow I doubt that." Yuuko replied. "In the past reality I can't say you were the model of trust."
"Speaking of the last reality, I seem to recall a situation similar to this one right now. Yes… I believe it was right after that horrible event that cost poor Kiryu so dearly."
"Because of what you did to Subaru!" Yuuko shouted. "To so many innocent people!"
"Don't you mean what *we* did? And I would hardly call them innocent. They were all hackers just like you. But back to the topic at hand. I was thinking about when I had you strapped to that terminal so I could use your memories to open the gate. My Paradise Lost Plan. Truly my finest hour. I had to leave to greet my allies shortly after, but through the security cameras I was treated to quite a sight. One of the Eaters created by your filthy kind got you while you were helpless. Now that was poetic justice!"
Yuuko gritted her teeth at the horrible memory of being assaulted by an Eater and turned into a monster that attacked her friends. "You…!"
"You know, this DigiLatex can be modified into any shape or size from this terminal." Crusadermon started tampering with the consol. "What say we get you in a more comfortable position for old time's sake?"
Yuuko felt the material coating her body begin to shift. It started to split open from her torso area and spread into two large clumps. One descending down her waistline, the other traveling up past her chest. "What are you…?" As the lower blob went down her legs part of it slipped off into a band that wrapped around her midthighs and then when the rest of it reached her knees and split again before making two round blobs that held her feet. Meanwhile the glob of DigiLatex traveling up her body split up and traveled down her arms before making two large orbs that her hands were trapped in. Even though her arms were free she couldn't do anything with them as they slowly forced her hands upward. "S-stop it!" Once the DigiLatex around her hands touched the sides of her head it morphed into a mask over the upper half of her head blinding her and trapping her hands to the sides of her head. Two treks of it started leaking down her cheeks. "Get this off me- As she was talking it flowed over her mouth forming a gag that reduced anything she attempted to say into inaudible mumbles. The blobs on her feet lifted them up and outward bending her legs in an awkward angle.
Crusadermon laughed as she stepped back admiring her work. "Yes… I think that look suits you." Yuuko's face reddened as she trembled in fright. This really did feel like the time she was merged with an Eater. She tried to pull her limbs free, but the DigiLatex held her firmly in midair. She shivered as Crusadermon ran her fingers down her hair and whispered into her ear. "Does this bring back memories Yuuko? Are you thinking about how last time you were in this position Takumi came for you like a knight in shining armor? I did get a kick out of seeing you like that until he ruined the moment. But Takumi will not be coming to save you, you see. For he will die today. And it will be your fault. Nobody will rescue you. You will remain trapped here as you watch the ones you cherish fade away."
'Takumi…' Yuuko bit down on her gag as she trembled. 'Please… don't die…'
Takumi's Digimon followed him as they walked down a hall. "No cells… no guards… this place is too empty and quiet to be a prison…" Dorugoramon said.
"You sure this is a good idea?" BlackWarGreymon asked looking at Takumi. "I don't like the idea of this guy leading us around like he has us on a leash."
"We don't have much choice." Takumi replied looking at the map given to him. They stopped in front of a large staircase leading through the ceiling. "It's just up ahead. You guys ready to fight?"
"Like you said, no choice." Rapidmon Armor replied. "We can't let him have Yuuko. Not if her theory of him being one of her former enemies wanting her to suffer is true. Who knows what the creep plans on doing to her."
"If he wants a fight, he'll get one he'll never forget." Dorugoramon said cracking his knuckles.
"And whatever it is he's plotting won't change that he's got some payback coming his way." BlackWarGreymon said. "Let's go get him."
Takumi nodded and they went up the staircase. He ascended the long steps until they were met with light. Takumi held his hand over his eyes as he stepped onto a massive, blue, round platform. "What is this place?" Dorugoramon asked. "Is this where we're supposed to be?"
Takumi checked the map again. "Positive."
Rapidmon Armor's ears twitched. "Takumi."
Takumi froze as he heard something. Music. On the other side of the arena was an open doorway. Out of it came Brother Sorrow and his Digimon. To Takumi's surprise the man had his mask between the fingers on his hand rather than over his face giving him his first look of what the man looked like. But he was also playing a flute. It's gentle and somber song filled the room as the man aproached. Once he reached his end of the arena he stopped playing and opened his eyes. "So, you've come."
"You sound surprised." Takumi stood on his end folding his arms. "You didn't exactly leave me a lot of choice. Not wearing the mask this time?"
Brother Sorrow put his flute away then looked at the mask in his hand. "Crusadermon convinced me to use this "Brother Sorrow" persona so I could invoke fear in my enemies." He tossed the mask and it clanked onto the floor in front of him. "But I grow tired of these games."
Back in Yuuko's cell Crusadermon held up her hand and a screen showing Takumi and Brother Sorrow in the arena. She then made some adjustments to the DigiLatex on Yuuko. Two holes opened up for the girls eyes. Yuuko then saw the screen in front of her. "Enjoy the show Yuuko. It will be the last time you see your beloved knight." Crusadermon cackled. "He will be destroyed by the monster you created."
Yuuko soon came to realize she couldn't even close her eyes. The DigiLatex was praying her eyelids open, forcing her to gaze at the screen. 'Takumi… Kiryu…'
Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers. Metal doors slammed shut behind him and Takumi sealing off the way they came in. "Nobody will interfere. I do hope Creepymon didn't do anything to weaken you detective. I wish to crush you when you are at your best."
"Well, what do you know." BlackWarGreymon scoffed. "For a hacker with cowardly tricks who hides behind a mask, Brother Sorrow seems to have a strange sense of honor."
"Honor has nothing to do with it." BlitzGryemon said. "By destroying you in an equal fight, triumphing over you when you are at your best, we will prove to all how helpless you truly are. How your hope was nothing more than an illusion."
"Where's Yuuko?" Takumi asked.
"Watching the show from her box seat." Kiryu replied.
Takumi glared at the man. "You better not hurt her Brother Sorrow."
The man returned the cold stare. "Hmph. She has done more than enough to deserve what's coming to her."
"If you're not going to hide your face anymore, perhaps you'll be so kind as to tell me who you are now?"
"My name is Kiryu Tenjo. A former member of Zaxon."
"You used to work with Zaxon?" Rapidmon Armor asked. "We thought you were one of its former enemies."
"Kiryu, was once sworn to Zaxon's side." BlitzGreymon replied. "As CresGarurumon and I vowed to support him the two of us also were dedicated to their cause."
"And now you're screaming for Yuuko's blood?" Dorugoramon asked. "What's the story behind this 180?"
"I think I know." Takumi said as he looked at Kiryu with sympathy in his eyes. "This is about what happened in Under Zero, isn't it?"
"Very perceptive Cyber Sleuth." Kiryu replied.
"Were you one of the hackers that got eaten?" BlackWarGreymon asked. "If you followed her there willingly you should have been prepared to-
"I knew Yuuko was in over her head when she declared she would seize Under Zero and use it to rule EDEN." Kiryu folded his arms. "Even the legendary hacker team Jude was unable to handle it. And while they didn't have Digimon to rely on at the time, that also meant they were far more skilled and experienced hackers. I tried talking some sense into that fool. Told her that she would be sending everyone to their doom. But that idiot insisted on luring people there with empty promises of utopia. At that point I had it with that moron's ego and quit the team…"
"But if you weren't even there, then why-
Takumi spoke over BlackWarGreymon. "He might not have been there… but somebody else was. Someone important to him."
Kiryu shut his eyes clenching his fist. "Subaru Tenjo… my little brother who meant everything to me… He insisted he would stay with Yuugo and Zaxon and make the team's goals a reality. I tried to convince him… but he was too obsessed with Zaxon's mission… and then… He came down with EDEN Syndrome…"
"You're brother…"
"After you "transformed" our reality I forgot about that ill-fated hacker war… until I met the Next Order one day. And they restored my memory."
"Yes… I remember the rage you felt upon learning the truth." Creeypymon said.
"Yes… my anger towards Yuuko for what she put my brother through. And anger towards myself for letting his tormentor get away with what she did to him. And so, I swore I would make her suffer. And I'll do that by making her lose those she cherished. Just as she made me lose Subaru." Brother Sorrow took out his Digivice and pointed at Takumi. "Starting with you Takumi Aiba."
"Why Takumi!?" Rapidmon asked.
"Because I know how close the two of them have become. Thanks to Fei, who was my initial target."
"Of course. She was the most dedicated to Zaxon and Yuuko." Takumi said. "That's why you kidnapped her and turned her into K."
"Indeed. But when we restored her memories, we learned that somebody has been getting even closer to Yuuko much to her despair. You."
"You would attack Takumi just to hurt Yuuko?" Dorugoramon asked. "Even though he has nothing to do with that happened to your brother?!"
"Does he though?" Kiryu asked. "Crusadermon just recently told me something interesting…"
Takumi looked at him uneasily. "…What did she tell you?"
Kiryu walked to the side. "She told me that once upon a time, six children who took part of an EDEN demo event discovered a gateway into her world. The Digital World. She told me that among them was Yuuko Kamishiro as well as two redheaded twins that not only opened the gate… but their desires… their mental data… summoned the very first Eater into the Digital World. That one Eater would begin to multiply and soon form the infestation that eroded the Digital World and one day spread to EDEN. Where they created EDEN Syndrome victims. Including my brother." Kiryu gave Takumi a gold glare. "Sabaru… and many more… suffered because of what you did as a child Takumi Aiba. That's what she told me. That you created the monster that devoured my brother."
Takumi's eyes trembled as he gritted his teeth. His Digimon looked at him. "Takumi…" Dorugoramon murmured.
Yuuko gapped in her gag. Crusadermon laughed. "I felt the boy deserved to know who the ones truly responsible for his poor brother's suffering were."
"So, before I end you, I want to hear the truth from the source. And if you do indeed value Yuuko's life you will answer me truly." Kiryu gazed at Takumi again. A unique form of anger in his eyes. "Is. This. True?!"
Takumi's head was lowered, and he clenched his fists.
Yuuko watched in fear. 'Takumi… don't! Kiryu will…!'
Silence hung in the arena. Until Kiryu growled and took a step forward. "Answer the question Cyber Sleuth!"
Takumi let out a light sigh. He raised his head and looked at Kiryu. "…It's all true. I was the one who brought the Eaters into existence."
Kiryu's eyes expanded as silence once again took over. No words were said. Nobody moved so much as a finger. "Heh…" A small grin formed on Kiryu's face. "Heh, heh, heh, heh… ah ha, ha, ha, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!" His laughter grew louder and louder. His eyes portrayed madness. "So that's how it is! Perfect!"
"Hmph. I was hoping to see you angry over learning the truth." Creepymon said.
"You know what? I also thought I would be angry!" Kiryu grinned. His tone cracked as he spoke. "But I find myself overjoyed! The true culprit is at last revealed!"
Crusadermon chuckled. "This is going even better then I hoped."
Yuuko yelled into her gag as she struggled. 'Takumi! No!'
"Creepymon! BlitzGreymon! CresGarurumon! Let the execution commence!" Kiryu declared as his Digimon stepped forward. "All those responsible for Subaru's pain will be crushed!" Kiryu said pointing at Takumi who held a guilty expression. "But the best part about this?" he asked holding a hand in front of his face. "I get to destroy someone precious to the witch who ordered Subaru's suffering *and* one of the creators of the instrument of that suffering *at the same time*!" His fingers clenched into a fist as he spoke. "Takumi Aiba… Are you prepared to face judgment?!" He held his hand forward and his three Digimon flew towards the Cyber Sleuth.
Takumi flinched as they came at him. "Takumi!" Rapidmon Armor flew in front of Creepymon catching him. They grappled for a bit before Rapidmon's knee hit the Deadly Digimon of Wrath in the face knocking him away.
CresGarurumon ran towards Takumi next. When Dorugoramon went to intercept he started swinging his spear at the dragon who blocked it with his claws until CresGarurumon let out a burst of ice that froze his arms together. He backed away from CresGarurumon who rushed after him. "Thunder Fall!" BlitzGreymon summoned lightning bolts.
BlackWarGreymon grabbed Takumi and flew him out of the way. "Takumi! Snap out of it! I know you feel guilty, but if we don't do something Yuuko and all of us are gonna die!"
Takumi gritted his teeth. "I know…" BlackWarGreymon put him down. "Yuuko told me he can put Bug status on his Digimon so whether we try to pick on their weaknesses or not we'll still be at a disadvantage. So, our best option is to fight him Virus for Virus, and Data for Data! BlackWarGreymon, you take BlitzGreymon! Dorugoramon, go for CresGarurumon! Rapidmon, you'll have to take Creepymon alone! You're stronger than last time, but don't let your guard now!"
"Hmph. So, you're capable of strategizing in the heat of battle." Kiryu said. "Alright… let's see what you can do detective!" He made inputs into his Digivice.
Creepymon roared as he was bugged and flew at Rapidmon Armor. "Hammer Knuckle!" He swung both hands into Rapidmon Armor knocking him to the ground. "Chaos Crusher!"
"Rapidmon, speed!" Takumi ordered.
"Speed Charge Field!" Rapidmon Armor and his fellow Digimon glowed blue before they sped up. Rapidmon Armor evaded Creepymon's shots.
"Dorugoramon! BlackWarGreymon, activate your buffs as well!"
"Attack Charge Field!" Dorugoramon broke free of the ice and caught CresGarurumon's Speak between his hands before swinging overhead and slamming the wolf to the ground.
"Guard Charge Field!" BlackWarGreymon charged through a storm of lightning bolts while flying towards BlitzGreymon who flew to the side evading the attack, but BlackWarGreymon instantly u turned. "Mach Rush!" He slammed into the other Greymon.
"Good! Keep up the pressure!" Takumi ordered.
"Tch! Don't get cocky!" Kiryu glared. "Skip Frame!"
"Comet Hammer!" Dorugoramon threw a fist at CresGarurumon but the moment Kiryu snapped his fingers CresGaururmon was instantly behind Dorugoramon who suffered multiple slashes.
Kiryu then snapped his fingers at BlackWarGreymon. "Freeze Frame!"
BlackWarGreymon was about to stab his claws into BlitzGreymon but then he froze in place. BlitzGreymon's fist glowed. "Nanomachine Break!" He punched BlackWarGreymon hurtling him to the floor.
"Rapid Fire!" Rapidmon Armor fired missiles.
Creepymon flew to the side avoiding them before turning to face the golden armored Digimon. "Chaos Flare!" Rapidmon Armor jumped back to evade a pillar of fire. "Double Dust!" Creepymon then flew in slamming both his hands into Rapidmon as they glowed.
"Golden Triangle!" As he was flung back Rapidmon Armor fired a golden laser back at Creepymon who blocked the hit but was still damaged.
Takumi looked at Kiryu. "He's on a whole other level from any other hacker I've fought…"
The hacker's eye glowed with the Crown of Wrath. "You will suffer!"
Fei was as pale as a sheet as she looked at a monitor through her Digivice. "Please tell me you're joking."
"I wish I was." Zero replied on the other end. "But his knowledge of us… his hatred for Zaxon… his Digimon… his drive… you know just as well as I do there's no emulating that. It makes too much sense."
"Kiryu…" Fei murmured. "…why?"
On the cliffside overlooking Extinguish Keep a lone figure sighed. "Why the hell am I even doing this? Well, might as well get it over with now that I dragged my ass all the way out here." They looked at the opened gate and the path of destruction leading to it. "You better still be alive when I get there." A motorcycle engine started.
So here we have more of Kiryu's backstory. I know it's not much, but more chapters will be dedicated to explaining him over time. The flute was a little quirk I decided to give him. What tune was he playing? I leave that to your interpretation.
