"Congratulations students," Aizawa says. "Much to my surprise all of you managed to pass the written part of your finals."
A loud cheer rings throughout the classroom as many students who thought they would fail (cough Kaminari and Mina cough) celebrate that they managed not to get kicked out of the hero program.
"However you are not done yet," Aizawa says, rapidly destroying the good mood. "You all must also first complete the practical test. So if you would all please grab your hero costumes and follow me."
As Izuku puts on his pitch-black suit and walks out with the rest of class 1a they arrive in front of the training area where they took their entrance exam.
"Are we fighting more robots?" Momo asks.
"Not quite," Aizawa smiles as all of the teachers at UA High School land behind him.
"Today you get to fight us."
"We're so dead," Kaminari mumbles.
"Do not worry," Nezu says as he pops out of Aizawa's scarf like a whack-a-mole. "Every teacher will be limiting themselves in order to make it a fair fight by weaning specially made bands provided generously by Yaoyorozu Industries."
Nezu looks over and nods at Cementos who puts his hands to the ground and summons a concrete barrier with names on it.
"This is who you will all be fighting," Aizawa says as he gestures at the concrete slab of a board.
Round 1: Rikido Sato and Ejiro Kirishima vs Cementoss
Round 2: Tsuyu Asui and Fumikage Tokoyami vs Ectoplasm
Round 3: Tenya Iida and Mashirao Ojiro vs Power Loader
Round 4: Momo Yaoyorozu and Shote Todoroki vs Eraserhead
Round 5: Yuga Aoyama and Ochako Ururaka vs Thirteen
Round 6: Denki Kaminari and Hitoshi Shinso vs Nezu
Round 7: Koji Koda and Kyoka Jiro vs Present Mic
Round 8: Mezo Shoji and Toru Hagakure vs Snipe
Round 9: Mina Ashido and Hanta Sero vs Midnight
Round 10: Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya vs All Might
"You will each have two ways of winning the challenge," Nezu says. "You can either capture us with the handcuffs that will be provided before the match or you can escape through one of the highly decorated doors. Both options count equally as a pass so don't feel forced into fighting someone you can't beat after all part of the challenge is seeing your problem-solving skills on the fly."
"So when we fail do we at least get a lollipop?" Kaminari asks politely.
"Will villains give a lollipop for effort?" Aizawa says.
"… Maybe," Kaminari says hopefully.
"Hahaha. I like your sense of humor," An unfamiliar voice to most calls out from behind them.
"Allow me to introduce you to the top three students at UA, Mirio Togata, Nejiro Hado, and Tamaki Amajiki," Nezu says. "Since we will be facing you on the field they will be responsible for monitoring your injuries and evacuating you to Recovery Girl if needed."
"It's good to see you again, Izuku," Mirio says.
"Oh, you know him, Mirio? Oh how wonderful," Nejiro says in an airhead tone as she runs up to Izuku. "Are you this quirkless wonder I heard about from the sports tournament? I do wonder how you're able to do what you do without a quirk. It seems really interesting to me after all I've never met a quirkless much less one who's trying to be a hero isn't that interesting Tamaki?"
"Please don't tell them my name," Tamaki says softly.
"But the professors already did," Mirio says.
Tamaki curls himself up even more in a ball as he says, "Please don't embarrass me further."
"So these are UA's big three?" Bakugo scoffs. "I have to say I'm not impressed."
"Maybe you should try beating Izuku before taking on the best," Shote says.
"THE HELL YOU SAY HALF AND HALF!" Bakugo yells.
"Why'd it have to be KacchanI have to work with," Izuku mumbles. "Well, I guess it will make it easier in the end."
"First team please report to the arena," A robotic announcer says.
"I'm assuming you're allowed to watch right?" Izuku asks Mirio as Nejiro continues to walk around him like a young puppy.
"Sorry I can't I have to be ready to intervene at a moment's notice," Mirio says. "Though I will try to watch your match."
"Fair enough," Izuku says as Nejiro starts staring down at his different body parts like she was examining a mannequin. "In that case good luck. And it was a pleasure to meet you Tamaki and Nejiro though I would like it if you weren't petting my hair."
Nejiro stops looks up at Izuku and says, "Why? Your hair is so comfortable. It's like petting a little sheep. I mean come on Tamaki feel this."
"Please just stop," Izuku says as a Nejiro drags Tamaki over and forces him to start petting Izuku's head too.
"So fluffy," Nejiro mumbles softly.
"Okay that's it I'm done with this. I'll see you later, Mirio," Izuku says as he quickly vanishes from under their hands and to the door of the viewing room which strangely has an ATM.
"So how goes Kirishima's and Sato's trial?" Izuku asks as he enters the room.
"Poorly," Ururaka says as she, Recovery Girl, Shote, and Momo all watch the screen.
Kirishima and Sato both fruitlessly punch wall after wall of concrete as they try in desperation to reach both the exit and Cementoss.
"Let me guess they've gotten about 10 feet forward," Izuku says.
"8 actually," Shote says. "Honestly based on their performance so far I'm surprised they made it that far."
"No attempts at creative tactics?" Izuku asks.
Shote shakes her head, "The most creative thing they've done so far is try leapfrogging off of each other's backs but all that did was cause them to lose a few inches before they just went back to punching."
"Sad though at least I won't have to heal any injuries," Recovery girl mumbles.
"TIME!" an announcement rings out as Kirishima and Sato collapse from exhaustion.
"I spoke too soon," Recovery Girl mumbles as she starts walking towards the infirmary.
"Have fun," Izuku calls after Recovery Girl.
"So anyone have any bets on who will win the next round?" Ururaka asks as she pulls out a 50-dollar bill.
"I'll put 10 on Tokoyami and Asui," Izuku says.
"I told you to call me Tsu," Asui's voice calls out of the ether.
"Tokoyami and Tsu," Izuku clarifies.
"I'll put 50 on them winning as well," Momo says.
"I'll put my 50 on Ectoplasm," Ururaka says.
"I'll put whatever I can discharge from Endeavor's credit card," Shote says, raising her hand.
"He still hasn't canceled it after you paid for the party?" Izuku asks.
Shote shrugs, "I have two weeks before his next bill so I should be fine."
"In that case who are you betting for?" Momo asks.
Shote smiles and says, "Whoever loses."
"Yeah but if you use it all now what will you bet with for the other matches?" Izuku asks with a smile.
Shote pulls out another 7 credit cards and says, "I don't think that I ever said that I only stole one of Endeavor's credit cards."
"In that case, this is going to be fun," Izuku says.
Meanwhile in the training area:
Ectoplasm surrounds Tsu and Tokoyami with 10 clones as he says, "Let's see what you kids can do."
An alarm blares as an announcement says, "Begin match 2."
"Dark Shadow," Tokoyami says as his inner demon leaves his body.
"On it," Dark Shadow says as he grabs Tsu and launches her in the air.
"Here we go, ribbit," Tsu says as she grabs Tokoyami with her tongue and launches him up further to one of the higher floors.
As they land on the 5th floor of the large structure they are met with a wave of clones that Tokoyami quickly sends Dark Shadow against while Tsu stands behind him to protect his back.
"So essentially he's a weaker version of Twice," Izuku thinks to himself as Tokoyami and Tsu launch up to the next floor and start running towards the exit only to be stopped by a hallway full of clones. "Only able to copy himself and not others and they seem to dispel at the same amount of force as Twice's clones."
As Tsu and Tokoyami expertly fight through the wave of clones they finally arrive at the exit where a singular Ectoplasm is standing.
"That must be the real one," Tokoyami pants.
"I must admit you've done better than expected students," Ectoplasm says. "But let's see how you beat my trump card."
As Ectoplasm opens his mouth and releases an excessive amount of goo which forms into a 10-story-tall mountain of a man who quickly rushes towards Tokoyami and Tsu.
"Now then let's see how you escape this," the original Ectoplasm says as both Tokoyami and Tsu are stuck in the goo that is making up the giant.
"Dark Shadow get to the exit," Tokoyami says causing it to rush forward towards the exit.
"Not happening," Ectoplasm says as he kicks Dark Shadow in the face and forces it back.
"Looks less than advantageous for them," Shote says.
"I wouldn't underestimate Tsu and Dark Shadow," Izuku says. "We haven't seen the ends of Tsu's abilities if she does have the trait of every frog."
"Well, theoretically what can she do?" Momo asks.
"Turn practically invisible, poisonous skin, throwing up contents of her stomach, hypnosis, and more," Izuku says as he starts excitedly mumbling about the possibilities of Tsu's quirk.
"Speaking of throwing up her stomach do you guys see that?" Ururaka asks causing everyone to look over at the screen.
"Oh Jesus," Momo says as she covers her mouth and looks away.
"Well… it seems you were right Izuku," Shote says.
"I kinda wish I wasn't," Izuku mumbles.
As Dark Shadow launches one last attack at Ectoplasm he puts the handcuffs around Ectoplasm's leg.
"Ectoplasm is eliminated via capture. Team Tokoyami and Asui win." the announcer says.
"That was remarkably clever. I must commend you both for your ingenuity," Ectoplasm says.
"Thank you, sir," Tokoyami and Tsu say in sync.
"That was a fun match," Dark Shadow says.
"I believe that Shote owes us a credit card," Izuku says glancing at Shote.
"Oh no, how horrible," Shote deadpans as she puts the credit card in the ATM, withdraws the maximum amount of money possible, and puts it on the table.
Izuku and Momo lock eyes with each other for a split second and subtly nod at each other.
"Ururaka you can keep that money if you want," Izuku says.
"Yeah, we don't need it," Momo says.
"Are you sure," Ururaka says.
"Yeah, we're fine," Izuku says. "Just so long as you…"
Izuku's voice falters as Ururaka quickly scoops up all the money on the table and throws it in her backpack before curling up in a ball on the other side of the room and starts petting it saying, "Precious."
Izuku looks over at Momo and says, "You showed her the Lord of the Rings didn't you?"
"... Maybe," Momo says bashfully.
"Okay, I finished up with Kirishima and Sato… did they start the next test yet?" Recovery Girl says walking into the room.
"They already finished," Ururaka says.
"OH GOD… okay I'm fine. It's fine was anyone injured?" Recovery Girl asks.
"Tsu threw up her stomach so yes," Izuku says.
"Mother… If any of you need me I'll be in the infirmary," Recovery Girl sighs as she leaves the room.
There is a short pause before Izuku says, "So next bet is on the Iida and Ojiro vs Powerloader Shote I'm assuming you're still betting on whoever loses."
"Correct," Shote says.
"Ururaka?" Izuku asks.
"I mean if I'm the only one getting money here, is it really even betting?" Ururaka asks.
"Fine, I'll take the money back then," Izuku says, reaching for the pile.
Ururaka quickly pulls the money closer to her and says, "No I think I'll keep it after all I only had the 50 dollars to bet with originally but for this one, I'll bet… 50 bucks on Iida and Ojiro."
"I'll put 50 on Iida winning as well," Momo says.
"I'll put 200 on Iida and Ojiro winning but only via escape rather than fighting," Izuku says.
"Going high risk there, Izuku," Shote comments.
"You're betting credit cards Shote. You have no room to comment," Izuku says.
"Yes, but they're not mine. They're the assholes," Shote says.
"Touché," Izuku says.
"Begin Match 3!" The announcer says, refocusing their attention on the match.
As Iida and Ojiro stand on the minefield from the sports festival, explosions happening left and right as Powerloader activates his traps around them.
"Iida you're good at planning right what's our play here?" Ojiro asks.
"Since neither of us have the ability to sufficiently attack underground targets I say we try to find a hero who has that specialty before engaging," Iida says.
"So we run, got it," Ojiro says. "But how do we get past all his traps?"
After a few second pause, Iida says, "Get on my back I have an idea."
Ojiro nods, hops on Iida's back, and mumbles to himself, "Man this is embarrassing."
Iida leans down and says, "Recipro Burst!" And launches himself forward managing to outrun each of the traps before Powerloader appears in front of them.
"I have you now," Powerloader says in his best Darth Vader impression.
"Ojiro wrap your tail around my leg," Iida says.
Ojiro nods and does it before Iida spins in place like a beyblade and launches Ojiro forward past the end zone.
"Team Ojiro and Iida pass," The announcer says.
"Well done students, your quick thinking managed to win the match. Very impressive," Powerloader says.
"Thank you, sir," Iida says.
"I have to admit I didn't see Powerloader as one to make a reference to the prequirk era," Izuku says back in the observation room.
"Maybe after your speech at the Sports Festival they got more interested in stuff like that," Momo says.
Izuku chuckles a bit and says, "Yeah that sounds about as likely as America launching another nuke at Japan."
"Wait what do you mean another?" Ururaka asks.
Izuku looks at her and after a few seconds says, "Man they really don't teach any history before quirks showed up do they?"
"Did they ever ask you about who bullied you again after the Sports Tournament?" Shote asks.
"No, we went to Internships immediately afterward and it's not like they told anyone about it besides the staff," Izuku says. "I mean the only reason you guys know is because of Shoji."
"They didn't do anything?" Momo asks.
Izuku looks at her and says, "And why would one story out of a million identical ones make anyone care?"
"Because we care about you, Izuku," Shote says, placing her hand on Izuku's shoulder. "If you ever need to talk or anything, know we're here."
Izuku's eyes get a far-off look as Izuku stares blankly into space.
"If you ever need to talk about anything please just give me a call and I'll be over there in a heartbeat."
"Izuku? You okay?" Shote says.
Izuku shakes his head slightly and says, "Yeah, yeah. Thank you, Shote." Before turning back to face the monitor.
"You just said something someone I know told me once," Izuku says.

Deku's Quirks
Evaluate: Upon looking at a person or object, while the quirk is active, the user will see the target's weak points shown by a red glow. However, it can only be used on one opponent at a time.
Perception: allows the user to sense all of their surroundings and have perfect spatial awareness within a limited range (Now 100 meters/yards)
Memory Viewer: allows the user to see the memories of people they touch while the quirk is activated. However, if a memory is too painful it will cause the user to have a minor nosebleed and a migraine. It can only be activated once every 24 hours.
Deku's Gear:
2 custom swords: each capable of cutting through 10 inches of steel and has a variety of features that can be put into it including poisons and other fun things that I will come up with later
A variety of knives and flashbangs
Stun gun: 2 million volts per shock
Deployable cameras: Small cameras that stick to walls and other objects and are linked to the suit computer. They can see in infrared, normal, and ultraviolet light.
Deployable smoke emitter: small smoke emitters that can emit smoke for up to 1 hour
Various chemical mixtures created by Razor for different situations
Deku's Armor upgrades:
Boot Blades: 10-inch blades stored inside the boots of the armor that can be extended by flexing all the toes on either foot.
