WHAT IS YOUR WISH?
Today wasn't Naruto day, simple as that. That should be Naruto's catchphrase. Orphan, class loser, poor, with barely enough money to live month to month ,most people would agree in one thing.
His life sucks.
But this day was especially bad. For starters, his day began with Iruka-sensei calling him in front of the class to do the stupid henge. So what if the Hokage was fatter than in real life? That doesn't mean he liked being humiliated in front of everyone. "Loser," "Deadlast,","Stupid "Deadweight," "Cannon fodder," "waste of space," "embarrassment" - those were the words he had to deal with every single day. And then the old man asked why he like to skip class and why he tried to do the early graduation exam, after that he had to fight Choji who not only beat him but also he sat on top of him when he refused to give up only for everyone to laugh at him again, excuse him for not being ninja trained since he could crawl. And finally back in class Iruka-sensei ask him about the Nidaime and when he got the answer wrong everyone laugh at him again.
"Why don't you take this seriously Naruto"
"When are you going to grow up"
"Being a shinobi is not a game Naruto"
Naruto was sick and tired of Iruka scolding him all the time, he wasn't a little kid anymore.
He probably never was one to begin with.
He can't imagine a moron like Kiba cooking for himself or managing a budget.
He was tired of being everyone's joke. He knew he did pranks sometimes to get revenge on people or to get a laugh, but sometimes he felt like the village took sick pleasure in kicking him while he was down.
Sometimes he felt that he should just forget about being Hokage and leave the village altogether.
He was just so lonely, and it was getting harder to keep smiling every day when he didn't even want to leave his bed.
He didn't even have money to go to Ichiraku, one of the few places he felt liked in the village, because he spent the rest of his money on groceries. Even then, it looked like he needed to go hunting or fishing again.
He just wanted to eat a cup of ramen and go to bed maybe tomorrow would be better.
Or at least that's what the blonde thought as he opened the door to his house. Only to find, upon opening the door, a young girl eating his ramen. With his eyes widened, the blonde shouted,
"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing!?" exclaimed Naruto.
The girl answered by slurping the noodles before saying, "Right now, I'm just eating this tasty noodle soup."
Naruto examined the girl she was a little girl 9-10 if he had to guess she had a large blonde curled hair that touched the floor with blue sky like eyes and wearing a large white dress.
"I meant about THAT!" Naruto Said angrily pointing to a dozen of empty cups that were laying on his apartment , specifically those that were part of his "Reward/Special" time.
The girl looked at the empty cups, then back at Naruto, her expression shifting from nonchalant to slightly sheepish. "Um, sorry," she muttered. "They looked too yummy to resist" The girl defended herself
"I know, they were my yummy treats, you thief!" Naruto said angrily. "You can't just barge in here and help yourself to whatever you want!. Who the hell do you think you are!?"
The girl ignoring or just not caring about her fellow blonde anger just closed her eyes and with an innocent smile said "My name is Scheherazade. I'm a traveler"
Hiruzen Sarutobi was a busy man, he would never deny that. A man who not only had to deal with coming out of retirement to take care of his home but also having to grapple with the consequences of the World War and the biggest attack Konoha had faced since its creation.
And even then, more troubles kept coming up. Like the emergence of a new clan that had seized power in the Land of Claws, their intentions and capabilities shrouded in mystery. Rumors abounded about strange buildings that appeared overnight, allegedly abducting people who never returned. There were also sightings of hybrid chimeric animals roaming the wilderness, sparking fear and speculation among the villagers. But that wasn't on his mind or at least it wasn't his priority instead it was the report of Naruto newest "prank".
Luckily no one was hurt and the cats are expected to regrow most of their fur.
Most people would punish Naruto for his antics but Hiruzen didn't have it on his heart to do it after all for all the issues Naruto went through and his only payback are childish pranks then they are fine.
After all Hiruzen knew that Naruto was at the end of the day a good kid just one who got a rough deal.
In how much a trouble can a little kid get into anyway?
"Is this really necessary?" Said Scheherazade because after their encounter Naruto decided to tie her to a chair in the kitchen. "The rope is itchy"'
"Is supposed to be uncomfortable. You just broke into my house!"Said Naruto before rubbing his temple and sighing. "How did you even enter anyway?"
"I used that rock" Said the girl strangely proud of herself.
Naruto just deadpanned at her before glancing at the window of his living room and just like she said there was a rock surrounded by broken glass.
" "How did I not notice that?" Thought Naruto while slightly embarrassed.
As Naruto stood there, contemplating his oversight, Scheherazade watched him with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. Despite being tied to a chair in his kitchen, she seemed remarkably unfazed by the situation.
"Aren't you going to introduce yourself ?" Scheherazade said in a curious manner. "I read is impolite to don't introduce yourself to a guest"
"Yeah i guess you have a point my name is Uzumaki Naruto i am 14 yea- . Wait a second don't change the subject!. You still haven't told me Why you entered my house?"
"I was hungry and your neighbors didn't open their doors. So i entered the only place with the lights off" Scheherazade explained casually.
"What about your parents?" Asked Naruto. "They are probably worried about you"
At Naruto's question, the little girl's face started to frown, the first significant change in her expression in the short time Naruto had known her.
"I don't have any," Scheherazade told him bluntly. "Never truly met them, to be honest."
"I'm sorry," Naruto apologized sincerely. "Trust me, I know how you feel. I'm an orphan too."
As Naruto's words sank in, Scheherazade's frown softened,
Naruto decided to change the subject and getting to know the "Thief" better he asked ."You say you're a traveler . Right?"
"Yes"
"So that means you aren't from here right ?" Asked the boy to her fellow blonde who nodded in response.
"Exactly. I'm from the Land of Demons" Said the girl excitedly much to the blonde shock.
OK that was a spooky name he didn't want talk about that either.
"How did you end up from there to here anyway".
"Simple, i sneak up on a wine merchant caravan while he wasn't paying attention"
That was good that means she didn't travel alone ."Good, then you can stay with them"
"They kicked me out for eating too many of their watermelons when they weren't looking" Scheherazade admitted, her cheeks coloring slightly with embarrassment. "I couldn't help myself. I'd never eaten anything like that tasty fruit before. Once I tasted one, I couldn't stop until they noticed and kicked me out at their first stop."
"You really need to learn what private property means"
"Hehehe" The girl laughed in embarrassment while trying to avoid Naruto eyes
"Well if you don't have a place to stay . I guess you can stay for the night" Said Naruto while untying her from the chair, after all he just didn't have it in his heart to kick the little thief to the street, even if she ate most of her special ramen.
"Really" Scheherazade's eyes widened in surprise and before responding with a hug ."Thank you , you don't know how much this mean to me"
Naruto decided to hug her back, feeling a warmth spread through him at the genuine gratitude in Scheherazade's embrace.
"Well let me make you a bed. I think i have a futon somewhere around here Schez-chan" Said Naruto while walking to his closet
"Schez-chan?" Asked the girl with her head leaning on her right side at the strange nickname
"Yeah your name is kinda complicated to say, so i think a nickname would be better" Naruto said sheepishly. "If you don't like it i can think of something better just gi-
"I love it" The girl said smiling. "I never had anyone who cared enough to give a nickname. I knew you were a kind person Naruto-kun"
Maybe this night won't be so lonely after all.
Unknown to Naruto, but not to Schez, a few golden bird were surrounding the blonde because in that night a friendship that will eventually change the world was born
From a distance, hidden from the bustling activity of the village, a man with feminine features, silverish blonde hair, and teal eyes observed the two children with a smile. He was dressed strangely, wearing a green pointy hat and loose-fitting green and white clothes.
"So little Scheherazade found a friend. That is nice. Still, I didn't expect a boy descended from Fanalis to be the one," he mused to himself. The man felt a sense of happiness for the little girl, especially after he had helped her escape from the Land of Demons to this village. He worried that Al-Thamen would start chasing her again; they already had their own Magi, and a second one would be catastrophic.
However, with Scheherazade now loose in the world, it meant only one thing: the three Magi were in action. And when that happened, catastrophe awaited not too far behind. After all, "Every act of creation begins with an act of destruction," thought the man. Having lived for centuries, he had seen it before; when the three Magi appeared, it meant just one thing:
THE END OF THE AGE OF THE SHINOBI
He didn't want to accept it, but there was nothing he could do. When the Magi were reborn, the world would be reborn with them. Though the kind of world that would form was unknown. Still, there was nothing more that Yunan could do except wait and see what kind of world would rise from the ashes.
Tsubaki was a kunoichi and chunin of Konoha. While she never fulfilled her dream of being the next Tsunade Senju, she does have a fiancé who loves her, and she does enjoy her job in the mission chart of the village. So she can say she is satisfied with her life.
The mission chart is the first person villagers or clients interact with when requesting a mission. It is a relatively simple job to interview the client about the details of the mission and calculate the equivalent rank and an estimated amount of money the client needed to pay for the mission and while it may not involve things like saving a princess or destroying a bandit camp, it is still an important part of the village's livelihood, and she is proud of her job.
So imagine her surprise when one of the most strangely dressed women she ever met appeared in her night shift. She was dressed a vuluptous woman pink wearing a pink robe with a pink hat and wearing a gray veil to cover her mouth, the only that woman showed was her eyes and she had them close for some reason.
"Hello, welcome to Konoha in what we can help you today?" Said Tsubaki to the woman who opened her eyes revealing them be a green like if they were some kind of emerald.
"My name is Falan and i need your help" The woman explained while showing a picture that she carried in her robe." A few weeks ago a man broke into my family temple and kidnapped my daughter. Her name is Scheherazade and is known that your people are experts in cases like this"
Tsubaki was surprised at the woman calm demeanor she expected a woman whose daughter to be kidnapped to be more hysterical but then again the woman was from some kind of temple they probably taught her how to control her emotions.
"Do you know anyone who could want to kidnap your daughter?" Tsubaki explained calmly after all she needed to get all the possible details before she can send the mission to the Hokage imagine doing something like sending a freshly baked genin team to an A-rank mission because she was sloppy .
Yeah she didn't want tha black mark on her record.
"My daughter had special powers" Explained Falan.
"Powers?" Question Tsubaki
"My daughter had the ability to heal in a way that even the most trained medics could fail to do" Explained Falan to a surprised Tsubaki,
"You mean like medic ninjutsu?" questioned Tsubaki to Falan who just shook her head in denial
"We are from a small village, and neither I nor my daughter were trained in any of the ninja arts. In our temple, we regarded it as a gift from our benevolent god, nothing more," Falan clarified, prompting Tsubaki to nod in understanding.
"So, you believe her unique healing ability might be the motive behind her kidnapping?" Tsubaki
Falan nodded solemnly. "Yes, I have seen it before when someone say that he is your firend only to manipulate you and using you for their own benefit. Without caring of who they trample to reach to the top " The tone in which Falan said the last sentence was full of venom and anger that surprised Tsubaki who until now just though the woman was a calm if slightly vain kind on person apparently she did have some experience with people like that.
Still if Falan is right then her daughter was probably a Kekkei Genkai user after all is not unheard off to people with Kekkei Genkai to resurface after a few generations also if her suspicious were correct then a lot of the other villages would hunt that little girl down the idea of an ability like that is just too good too pass.
"Don't worry Falan-san. I will make sure you reunite with your daughter i gave you my word" Tsubaki assured her sincerely, determined to fulfill her promise.
"Don't worry Tsubaki-san ,"Proclaimed Falan while getting close to Tsubaki, "I'm sure you will do everything in your power to do so" Black birds that were invisible to Tsubaki started appeard behing Falan until they elevated to the sky in a black spiral. " I have all my faith in you"
AN= A little Shorter that i'm used too but this is more like a prologue next chapter is going to be my normal 6000-10k words . I really wanted more of the feedback,
Some things i want to talk about
1-This is a story that i wanted to write for a while , i love Naruto and I love Magi both are shonens who deal with the themes of war and conflict but Magi did it better than Naruto in my opinion.
In magi there were political stakes and even Nations that in any other story would have been the villains were treated as reasonable people, in a way is more realistic that Naruto cicle of hatred. Sometimes people go to war because they felt they don't have any other choice or they believe they have a good reason
2-The use of Scheherazade is because i liked her character in the Magnosdat and when i heard her talking about her first King candidate : A bit of a moron and sometimes unreliable guy but still someone that was kind and loyal to his friends and brighten people just like the sun felt that it could be a good way to describe Naruto also her philosophy of being the determinator are things that i would see resonate well with Naruto
3-This is a story with Naruto leaving Konoha. In this case i always wanted to fix one of my main peeves with Naruto manga . I always felt that the Konoha people got off easy for treating Naruto like trash all his life, Naruto words are how Naruto felt after every insult of joke at his expense in a way he hated Konoha and while he wouldn't go all edgelord and destroy the village he will have his issues with them later on the history
4- This Scheherazade is more childish because she is a younger version of the character in canon she was 268 years old in this case she is 12, she will develop in a more mature person later. Also she and Naruto will not be a couple, they will be besties and in a way Schez will be the MERLIN to Naruto's Arthur also i kinda want to reflect Aladdin personality at the start of the manga. I even recreate the steal food I'm a traveler scene
5- The pairing is not set in stone but i'm open to suggestion i take both Magi girl and Naruto girls just not from Konoha or old people like Anko or Tsunade, everything else is fine
6-Also i will consider an harem
7-Naruto will get a Djinn Equip
