Chapter 30: The Reinforcements

Sly and Carmelita slept in the same bed that night and maybe had a tiny bit of "fun" when they were sure everybody was asleep, but the next morning, they both woke up to see Wheeljack, Hot Rod and Ratchet peeking around the doorway.

Carm: (Screams) WHY ARE ALL YOU ALIEN ROBOTS WHO PROBABLY DON'T HAVE GENITALS SO GODDAMN PERVERTED!?

Wheeljack: Uhh….what are genitals?

Carm: (Screams) GET THE FUCK OUT!

The 'Bots scramble away. After Carmelita calms down, Sly asks her some questions.

Sly: Hey, umm… Carmelita….. after this is all over….. what are we gonna do? I mean what has happened this almost past week feels like some sort of life changing event.

Carm: I'm gonna go back to try as my duty as an officer to finally lock you up for good. No benefits.

Sly: Oh c'mon! I know at this point, you never mean that anymore.

Carm: Yes, I do!

Sly: No, You don't.

Carm: Yes, I do!

Sly: No, You don't.

Carm: Yes, I do!

Sly: No, You don't.

Carm: Yes, I do!

Sly: Yes, I do!

Carm: No, I don't- UUGGGHHH.

Sly: Who have you shared a bed with a bit more than a dozen times at this point?

Carm: Most of those were when you pretended to have amnesia. Of which I'm still not over, you liar!

Sly: You told me you suspected I was lying then and said nothing. Even after I got back from Egypt on rare occasions we still went on "Special missions".

Carm: (Sighs)

Sly: Look, you know I'm a Master of Disguise… so what if….I led a double life. One half is Sly Cooper, Master Thief whom you chase after and never catch (chuckles)... the other half….just some normal guy who poses as your lover in front of your friends and co-workers. Bentley and Murray have side professions, so it's not like we plan heists 24/7. What do you think?

Carm: (Sighs) It could potentially and majorly damage my career. My boss always gives me some shit for being a master at catching criminals, except for you, constantly never catching you and if he knows my lover and the criminal I always chase after are both raccoons, I mean not to say he's racist…(Whispers to herself briefly)...most of the time…he may put the pieces together somewhat quickly.

Sly: Carmelita Montoya Fox… in my early years as a thief…. I slept around and flung with many women…but eventually I knew there was just something about you I couldn't resist. At least give it some thought?

Carm: (Sighs) lo hare.

A while later, the Spacebridge is powered up and about to be ready to open a portal to Cybertron, but there is limited time. The Cooper Gang is curious to meet new Cybertronians. The portal opens and the first bot to come out is a tall, big and gray one with a blaster and sword. Taller than Optimus Prime.

Sly: Soooo….. what does he transform into? I don't see any tires or wings on him.

Optimus: This is Grimlock, Leader-

Grimlock transforms into a big metal T-rex that breathes fire. The gang is amazed.

Optimus: (Continues) -of the Dinobots. He is not….. let's just say, doesn't have the biggest processor, but still has mighty strength.

Grimlock: Me Grimlock was not informed of puny organic assistance! They be useless! Grimlock take on many Decepticons at once! Puny organics be squashed in seconds.

Murray: Hey! "The Murray" takes that as a personal offense! And for your information, we have exo-suits that will help us….but I will admit you look awesome!

Grimlock: Grimlock love any compliment.

Bentley: Prime, did you say "Leader of the Dinobots" as in there's more of him? Were they built on Earth, were they Cybertronians who were trapped on Earth for thousands of years or did in the same time ago, dinos somehow find themselves on Cybertron?

Optimus: Yes, there are more Dinobots. Their origin is a complex explanation for another time.

Next, a green helicopter flies through the portal transforms and lands.

Optimus: This is Springer. He is a triple changer-

Springer shows off by transforming from robot to car to copter to car to copter to robot quickly.

Springer: Also the leader of an Autobot Task Force known as The Wreckers. Only reserved for the roughest and toughest fighters!

Murray: (To his friends) I like this guy!

Springer: Bulky! 'Jack! How's it shaking!?

Bulkhead and Wheeljack were former members of The Wreckers.

Bentley: Wheeljack was once a Wrecker? I mean, we've become really close, but I wouldn't suspect him as the "tough" type.

Murray: Not now, but one day, by any means necessary, me and Coopercus will find a way to Cybertron and prove ourselves worthy to join the force! Aw yeah! Wait, Optimus, can us organics breathe fine on Cybertron like here on Earth despite it being a planet mostly made of metal I presume?

Optimus: Surprisingly, yes.

Bentley: Fascinating.

Next, a fast blue Cybertronian car speeds through the portal, nearly hitting Carmelita, screeches to a halt, almost hitting the wall and transforms.

Optimus: This is Blurr. He's a bit…how should I say…..very hyperactive.

Sly: (To Blurr) Hey buddy! Watch where you're driving!

Carm: (Yells) Eres incluso peor que Hot Rod! Te mercedes tantas multas por exceso de velocidad como sea posible!

Blurr starts shaking her hand a bit too violently and speaks so quickly that it's almost incomprehensible. As if you gave someone as much caffeine and coffee as possible times ten and without any health issues.

Blurr: Imsorrymaamprettywomanireallyamihaventbeenonearththatmuchandamnotusedtospeedhavingalimit!

He drops Carm, who is exhausted and sees Sly and starts shaking his hand violently.

Blurr:Youthemasterthieftheycallslycooper?anhonortomeetyouthenamesBlurrandwaswillingtocomeheretoassistwiththedecepticondecepticondecepticonbattle!

He drops Sly, who is also now exhausted. The other organics back away.

Bentley: I'm sure he's a nice guy but…..just keep him away from me.

Wheeljack: Prime! We're almost out of the Energon reserved for the portal. It'll close any minute.

As Sly and Carm get back up on their feet, Optimus stands in front of the portal.

Optimus: I would call for more soldiers, but our Energon conserving methods prevent that. The Decepticons may still outnumber us, but we will-

?: Optimus?

Prime turned around and became motionless to who he saw between him and the portal. A bot who resembled Arcee, but with a different head and more of a reddish-pink color. Judging from Prime and the other Autobots' reactions, Sly immediately knew who she was.

Optimus: E-Elita?

Elita: I've come to help you.

Optimus:...No…..you should be commanding on Cybertron.

Elita: Ultra Magnus has everything covered. You trust him, right?

Optimus: Yes, but-

Wheeljack: Prime! The portal is closing now!

The portal closes. Elita is stuck on Earth. She and Optimus look at each other for a while. Carmelita witnessed the whole thing and already has an idea of the relationship the two have.

Elita: I heard you were going into battle, specifically with Megatron and I knew I had to be there for you.

Optimus: (Sighs) There's no going back for you now, is there?

That night, Sly and Optimus do yet another stargaze sitting on their rocks.

Sly: You… are worried about her fighting around Megatron, are you?

Optimus: (Sighs) I have lost many good soldiers in my time as a Prime, but losing her….. would hurt me the most….

Sly knows Optimus' feelings right now, but is not sure if he can relate to them. Sure, he rescued Carmelita a few times. From Clockwerk and Le Paradox, but none of those situations in the moment felt like she was at a real extreme risk of death. Maybe recently with her Barricade capture until Prime himself assured him that the 'Cons don't usually kill their prisoners immediately. There are times where he was of course very terrified for her life, but to say the thought processes of a Master Raccoon Thief who's traveled all around the world and a thousands year old Alien Space Transforming Robot Commander are alike would be a very extreme understatement.

Elita: Hey boys! Mind if we join you?

Both are startled to see Elita-One and Carmelita behind them. A bot told them about their night time conversations (Most likely Bumblebee) and now that they were both here. They wanted to join them in their personal stargazing talks as if it were a double date (Who am I kidding it WAS a double date). Elita and Carmelita already got along and conversed quite well and while the guys did converse with them, they still felt a sense of awkwardness of them being there, especially when Carm started to tell Elita of all the schemy stuff Sly has done to over her over the years, to which she just laughed.
